Must remember to update cache list before fruitless searches for missing caches!

16-Nov-04
Checked for the cache this morning and sadly it has gone missing. Many thanks to those who found this cache in the past and also thanks to those who let me know it had gone missing. What a weird place to do grafitti. Oh well I'll decide if I want to place another one here at a later date Smile

15-Nov-04
Out for the day we didn't have any cache sheets or info with us, so we decided to only do Traditional caches! After all, -all you need is a set of co-ords, & occaisionally a clue. My GPS records the clue for if needed (or at least the short clues & part of the long ones).

Anyhow, after spending much good caching time, getting a little frustrated, having checked over & under the bridge, wondering at the co-ords, I started checking other places, but still to no evail, as I had no idea of where to look Sad.

Tonight I logged on, to log my failed attempt. In reading the logs & page, I came to realize this was indeed a multi-cache, but was actually listed as a traditional cache, (Hence why we attempted it without cache page details)[B)]. Hopefully this might be changed to prevent others making the same mistake. (the reviewers will happily alter the cache type as appropriate).
Hopefully if the cache is restored to its former glory, we may have the chance to revisit it.

Thanks Kiwideb

Will check out this cache in the next week, seems like it has been muggled. Will confirm this after I have check. Thanks to the last 3 cachers for your logs.

13-Nov-04
bumped into clockwise at this one, second cacher met for the day, there was no cache looks like it has been muggled. took some photos of area and will post them soon.
thanks

13-Nov-04
Also found the right spot and think that it's been nicked. Graffiti - why on earth would you bother? The kind of intellect that would graffiti a wall would probably also steal a geocache. Bumped into another cacher on the way though which was cool.

09-Nov-04
Managed to figure out the final co-ordinates, but the area looked like it had recently been disturbed and had a fresh spray paint graffitti signature on the wall immediately adjacent to the cache. Muggled?

16-Oct-04
I had one of those - 'my god if you just concencrated this game would be so much easier' moments on this one, found all the clues easierly enough, but then put the south figures into the east co-ordinate and vice versa, and isn't this always the way - it still led me to somewhere that was possibly right, but after checking all of the obvious spots I had another think and another check and bidda bing budda ba realised my mistake and wandered over to the right side of the freeway and 2 minutes later it was in my hand.

To the shouts of the nearby cricker game i swapped hmmmmm, something for something else, maybe cards and something (Gee I really should write this stuff down at the time shouldn't I?)

25-Sep-04
Found on 25/09/04 @ 1330 AEST. 2nd cache for the day in a quick spot of caching before the Grand Final. As I approached this one from the south, I wondered if I would be in for some freeway frustration a la Biggles Bear but after a short walk and a few sums soon had the cache in my hands Cool. I had to avoid looking suspicious to a few muggle cyclists but no dramas at GZ. TNLN

Cheers kiwideb

16-Sep-04
Took a walk at lunchtime and located this cache with no trouble at all.

I used to ride my bike around this area long before the freeway came.

TB Wrasslin' Man came along to wrestle the cache but couldn't stay long as there was not enough room for him.

He is one big dude.

TNLN

Thanks Kiwideb

05-Sep-04
Last one for the day, as the light was starting to fade. A really nice area. Took a yellow star and left a little duck.
Thanks KiwiDeb

29-Aug-04
Found cache yesterday at 16.35, took glue stick left chalk.
It was nice to walk to from the HP cache.

28-Aug-04
Found this one after doing "HP" nearby. Part of the walk there was nerve-wracking for a member of the team so some motivational speaking was needed "you CAN do it! think of the CACHE! the CACHE!!".
Told our guest tag along 'Gummi Venus' to "Look THERE" (the obvious spot) and the cache was presented. Found at 5.30pm
TNLN, note - the cache lid had a crack in it and although the contents were dry, we left the container upside-down to prevent any rain entering the cache.
It's beginning to get dark, but we are on a roll today so we are going to try 2 more caches tonight to attempt to better our personal record of finds in 1 day.
Thanks Kiwideb!

20-Aug-04
Found at 5.35pm after doing the latest batch of kiwideb's caches. I have been wanting to do this one for some time to see if it was similar to BB's Freeway Frustration. It was good fun - thanks kiwideb TN/LN.

15-Aug-04
Found at 12:53 witht ehhelp of Shelby & Steph.

Nice and close to another cahce too... so it was 2 for he price of one.

Out: Pen & Grip and wel as the TB Vest
In: Sliver Glitter & Post-its (or was that the last cache I'm confused)

15-Jul-04
Found without any real difficulty at all.
I always seem to park on the wrong side of the freeway though.
I took some mini ballons and left a car.
I've also left the Beni Trophy Challenge Vest in this cache. It was tight fit, but the cache container sealed well.
You can read more about the Vest here http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=1002
Thanks for an interesting cache location kiwideb.

06-Jun-04
Got off to a false start on this one, but on realising our mistake and a quick drive we were soon back on the right track. We've never been here before but obviously it is very popular with dog owners & bike riders. As in the notes the cache was in a secluded spot so we had no trouble retrieving it
Left Steggasaurus
Took Labrador
Thanks Kiwi Deb

22-May-04
In much pain from a certain 13 caches, I found this one with Evil_Hitman.
TNLN
Thanks

22-May-04
Found this one pretty easily.

Thanks KiwiDeb

08-May-04
Decided to find HM this morning before the area became too popular with bikes, joggers etc. The traffic sounds very close as you retrieve the cache. Great hiding spot.
Another great kiwideb cache. dak will be very pleased with me Big Grin
I love standing on bridges watching the trucks whizz by underneath my feet Razz. I know I am not normal, I just have a thing for trucks, the bigger the better...I always have. Hmmmmmm [?]

Thanks kiwideb

IN: Star fun stamp, water bombs
and pencil guide
OUT: Qantas lanyard and USA coin

21-Mar-04
Found at 12:15pm. A quick find when we eventually stopped the car, but we had done a complete circumnavigation of the spot first in trying to get close enough to stop.

Thanks Kiwideb, from D & S B-A.

Took Chilean 100 Peso.
Left a Lassie dog to bark at the passing traffic.

05-Mar-04
Found this not long before the new day began while night caching. It was the first find of the night and was a nice quick start. Although we had ended up having to backtrack slightly after a mistrack.
Cheers!

23-Feb-04
This is the 1st of 6 kiwideb caches for the afternoon. This cache is just 350 metres from my former workplace of 10 years. I used to walk this track for exercise most lunch times.

After collecting the clues, I found the cache easily. The location is very private, and away from the path, so it makes 'doing the business' easy. I have a few Travel Bugs in my possession, so I dropped off the first of three for the day.

IN: Qantas lanyard, glue stick, Chaos Kids TB
OUT: Pack of cards

21-Jan-04
Nice not have to worry about looking inconspicuous when cache hunting - we left 100 pesos and a glow-in-the-dark galaxy, and took the shark.

06-Jan-04
My first geocache find at 06:10 this morning. Glad to find that the GPS works, took all of 5 minutes following clues. Took rain poncho, left shark foil cutter. Will try for other Koonung caches later in day. Thanks, Kiwideb.

17-Dec-03
Surprised myself with an easier than expected find at 3:45pm - lucky, I guess Smile

The sign that gives "CC" appears to have been vandalised to death, although a duplicate of the sign was found on its other side, so that didn't hold me up for long...

Took a Jigglypuff Pokemon card, left a purple highlighter.
Thanks kiwideb, for a nice, unexpectedly secluded cache!

02-Nov-03
Checked the cache after Franktj reporting it had a cracked lid. The cache is dry and it does have a crack but nothing to worry about.

22-Sep-03
Found after being unsure of which side of the freeway to be on. Was very dark and a bit wet but found the cache well. Took batteries left a plush frog. Thanks for another wonderful cache kiwideb.

20-Sep-03
I found this well hidden cache on a bike ride. The lid is spit and letting a little water into the box but the clip top bag keeps the cache contents dry. There is a range of goodies to swap.

Another nice easy find found by Mr blobby and no.2. Mr blobbey got frightened on the bridge when someone was running across - the bridge shook. TNLN. Thanks kiwideb

20-Jul-03

Found by ThomasS and MattS. Nice and easy, even though I couldn’t decide which side of the freeway to approach from… Took a frog, and left a shiny new golf ball.
Thanks again kiwideb…

14-Jul-03
12:10p - A hat trick for Josh today(his 3rd),found easily after deciding that we should be on the beam instead of the road looking for clues....Hot on the heals of previous cachers judging by the log we missed crossing paths by minutes. Took packet of seeds and left pokemon card. Ta Kiwideb.

A reasonably quick find after wandering in from the Scout Hall. Once again Kira's (6 yo) maths did the trick Smile Remarkably peaceful nook considering how close it is to the noise.
Thanks Kiwideb.

T: calculator (Kira)
L: frog, 4xAA battery pack

I must have been getting tired by the time I got to this one (was on the treadly) because I got the numbers back to front and ended up on the wrong side of the freeway. Once I realised the mistake the GPS guided me right in and the spot was pretty obvious. Nice little spot hidden from view and the squillions of cars just metres away. V Cool. Took nothing, left nothing as cache is pretty full & I had nothing but bigger stuff in my pack.

This was nice and easy and not far to walk. We went straight to the cache location but, as usual, decided that actual cache was on the other site of the creek because the distance to target shown on the eTrex was too great. Sometimes the error is due to the somewhat random path taken by the canine members of the team (Denbigh & Morris) and we have to follow on. Wandered further along the track then returned to the right place. Found by Liz this time at 17:10. Fantastic hiding place. Took the Froggy plant tie, left Mr Strong soft toy.

24-May-03
Found at 1pm. How do you do it Kiwideb, you managed to find a peaceful spot only metres way from a well used highway. I enjoyed the nice easy clues which led me straight to the cache on this sunny Saturday.
Swap: Took the packet of Saturaid, and left a currency converter calculator.

15-May-03
Found at 1.00PM on an overcast but warm day. We've driven along this stretch of freeway many times but never had a look on the other side of the wall. Nice secluded cache - we like them. Noting exchanged. Greg and Bev

Thanks kiwideb for a cache close to home. I'm studying in Bendigo at the moment and getting onto a computer to log those all-important finds is a little difficult. I was amused by some kids on the nearby bridge waving at every truck that sped past. When they honked their horns (and most did) it caused a great amount of excitement.

Took letter opener and left a pack of cards. I will also take Oliver up to Bendigo and see if he can’t find a quieter, less polluted home.

Took Face and Body crayons and left Travel bug 'Oliver' (201876), thanks Kiwi Deb.

My second Kiwideb find of the day. Wasn't sure which sign to be looking at in the second part of the clue, but of the 3 or so options, they all put the cache within about 10m, so I just picked one. Great hiding spot. Thousands of people going past every day, but none of them will find it. Took the compass and left a bag of Saturaid plant food. Also took the travel bug on its way.

Found cache easily.
Swapped keychain for an emergency raincoat.
Thanks Kiwideb

25-Apr-03
Found by Mary & David at 1130, and it brings up our 500th Australian cache Smile. A lovely sunny morning. Found a nearby place to park so we didn't have to brave the traffic. Collected the clues then off to the cache, which we found soon after. Took tape measure, left car compass and a travelling frog tie from SA. We'd given the Green Beetle a lift before, so left him in peace for a while longer. Many thanks to Kiwideb.

Found with friends on the way home from a trip in to melbourne's markets. A good cache to satisfy the caching itch when you should probably be doing something else Wink
Took carabiner and left face and body crayons, also left T.B. Green Beetle.
Thanks kiwideb.

I had some things to do this morning over this way, so I thought I would leave home early and give this one a go. I'm glad I did. It was a glorious, sunny autumn morning, one of those days that can't be improved on.

After collecting the answers to the questions, I proceeded to the cache location. There was no problem finding the cache, and, being away from well used paths, there were no prying eyes to avoid.

I took Hawkeye, the Travel Bug to continue his journey. He should be used to my driving by now - he came in my car twice last Friday, once with Alan-san and once with Kiwideb. And now he's mine. I also took a blank audio cassette and replaced it with a mini keychain LED torch.

Thanks for the cache, Kiwideb. Keep up the good work.

22-Apr-03
I had removed the travel bug from Cold Country and added it to my new cache Highway Madness. Wanted to see how a travel bug worked and what was involved in logging it. Thanks to Team Quasar for my 1st find and placement of a Travel Bug. I may start my own. Good luck on it's travels.
