I drove past the day after the fires.. and stopped off in the parking spot, From the road it seemed that the top area was no affected by the fire..

I had company with me and was unable to climb up for a closer look.. Pity i didnt..
Anyway ill disable this one and have a few more out shortly..

GZ is burned out. If there was a stump or log there it's now just white ash. I circled GZ at 15m radii and saw naught features matching the hint.

Btw excellent climb.

Couldn't find cache and were wondering if it was destroyed in the Margaret Rivers fires earlier in April. The area we were searching was totally burnt out and still smouldering whenwe were there. GPS had us within 5 metres and all around us was burnt out forest.

Found whilst on holidays in Gracetown. Stopped in on the way home after getting a few others in the area.

Thanks for the hunt.

Leaving the Pommy Wrinkly vistors in the car with the air-con running we mad a quick dash up the cliff. Youngest daughter managed to poke herself in the face (twice) with stray vegetation but other than that all went well. Walked straight onto the cache, the satellite gods were smiling on us.

Team Greydemon today : Greydemon, Ellie, Lucy, Alice. Billy the Geomutt unfortunately back in the big smoke in kennels for the weekend.

Took:Carabiner keyring
Left: Micky Mouse pen.

Saw a couple of the hole mentioned on my walk/climb up to the cache. A pity I didnt have my caving gear with me on this lightning trip to the area. Looks like a great spot to explore in detail.
Took nothing, left a carabiner keyring.
Cheers, TFTC.

This cache has been on my To-do list for a long while. We finally made it when we were down South West for the weekend. Arrived the car park and looked up the limestone cliff, gosh! climb up there? What were you trying to prove, Wot?Wink We found the route to climb up and saw the cave there. Continued climbing around and at the top the cache was found. It was in very good condition. We loved the place. Thanks for the great challenge, spot, and the hunt, Wot

Found it!! Bit of a scramble. We went the long way due to the oldies in the group. Not a hard climb but a bit hard pushing throuugh the bush. Dooohh!! Didin't read the bit about the cave until now so we didn't see it.

The climb up is a challenge O right especially as the ground was wet due to the recent rains. Then we see the hidden holes to a underlying cave. I ask JM if I could throw a rock in and she said there may be people who have fallen in there...Thanks Javamama, so thoughtful of you . We don’t want to hurt them righttt?
JM spotted it first and we scramble down those green moldy rocks and rotting tree logs.
Not so pretty place, just bit scary.

Finding the right path up was a bit tricky. There were so many different paths at the bottom of the rock. We each followed a different track and finally converged on a good route to take to the top. The gps was bouncing around a little, but we didn't have too much trouble finding the cache. The scramble down was fun and easier than I expected.

This was a great climb. We thought going down would be even harder, but that wasn’t the case. We ran into a few kookaburras. Such amazing birds!

This reminded me of the climb at Jurrasic Jaunt except that this one had a semblance of a path for part of the way. We'd get to a level and the GPS would say how many metres, pointing directly at the cliff face, so it was always up, up, up! It had rained for the first time in weeks which made it even more of a challenge. Once there it was found easily. T:shampoo L:pedometer Thanks

Yup decent climb alright. I should have put some boots on instead of the thongs Smile Ended up with sunburn on the tops of my feet. Worked up quite a sweat too. Visited the super cool caves afterwards and there were well worth the visit.

Thanks Wot

Found it!

Easy found, but the way up!!!

Hope the cache remains dry (no rain, sweat).

More when we are back in Germany.

Thanks for the cache.

What a great spot for a cache loved the climb up and had a quick look in the cave entrance but had no gear to go further in. I'm not sure who trained the magpies in the car park but they have no fear whatsoever of humans.
P.S. For someone who doesn't like hills you must have paid someone to place the cache for you wot Wink

Found it with elvis77 - good steep climb - not for the fainthearted.
View of Boranup Forest beautiful. Magpies so tame at lunch - they only like meat products!! TNLNSL Smile

Found this on the 22nd May. Loved the climb but getting down was a little hairy. Especially being damp. The cave entrance half way up had the old explorer juices flowing. Will return one day to check it out.

Really exciting cache for a group of first timers. Entered logbook as "the Canal Bunch", we have now gone out on our own as the "mactrekkers". Thanks for finding a really special place to visit.

Listening to the silence and the bird calls was just magic as we clambered for this cache. TNLN
Thanks for a great place to stop and contemplate our navels.

TB My Pet Log visited this cache and enjoyed looking at the huge Karri trees in the south west of Western Australia. He got too scared and asked to stay with us, so we took him away again.

Found with wot and his cousin's when he checked on it at Easter.
Fair hike up to the cache, but coming down was worse with the wet ground! But it was a fun cache to find never-the-less Big Grin

We stopped by during a trip down South and found we hadn't brought the papers. The cache was up there so up there we went. Got to the base of the cliff and it was another 50 metres in. Suspending disbelief, said cliff was climbed and we trekked into the bush. Found a fallen burned out log which looked likely but couldn't find it. Decided to give up when shouted instructions from another member of the party who arrived having walked the easier way around the cliff, said check the bole of the burned out trunk and there it was. Worked hard for this one and am pleased to log it as a find. Left a fluffy toy and took nothing. Great spot in a beautiful forest setting. Thanks.

I'm glad I wasn't wearing my high heels! But I was wearing white clothes! Enjoyed the climb though. First we investigated the wrong burnt out stump (a spectacular one) but eventually climbed higher to bag it. Great location, great cache - thanks.
Sweepy (I'm his wife) visiting from the UK.

Wow, quite a climb. Spent a lot of time looking in another burnt out tree. Eventually found the correct one.
TN left calling card.
Thanks for the cache.

Another find while on holidays at Hamlin Bay. The walk up is a bit scary but well worth the view (don't go too close to the edge Surprised)

We found it after scrambling up the hill. Some climb - puff puff. Took nothing, left a set of headphone covers. The coords were spot on. This area is one of our our favourites, and always pretty, having been visiting it for many years.

The cache was found easily with the coords spot on. I come to this area several times a year and still marvel at the beauty of this spot.

CoolI don't believe it, we are the first to find this one. This location down south is probably my favourite spot, with the tall trees and the enclosed canopy we have visited the area many times so it was great place to search for a cache. Yes it is correct that the climb up is a bit of a challenge especially as the ground was rather wet due to the recent rains. The coordinates were spot on and we found the cache easily once we made it to the top of the cliff. The cache was in good order but we did not leave or take anything, just signed the note book.
