Found by Mr Emu and friends (Harry & Matt) at 17.50. The boys had "watch the sun set from Sacre Coeur" on their list of to-do's while they are on holidays, and with a virtual cache nearby, who was I to say "No"?

Thanks to Tim & Debbie for giving me a reason to re-visit this beautiful vantage point in Paris. (Email sent 14/09/2007; logged 16/09/2007)

Last find on a warm day. Well worth the climb and yes we took the stairs. Great views and the afternoon musical entertainment made it all worthwhile.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful spot with us.

The funicular railway was closed, and there were a lot of steps, but the views were spectacular. Thanks.

We lived in two years and in half street of Abbesses, and I often came on the mound to after noon for this magnificent sight and for the festive atmosphere that bring us the tourists and the inhabitants of places. Thank you for this new occasion of ascent by stairs by tempting running RazzRazzwith the finiculaire. I saved subway ticket.

Published coords take you to about 20m from the spot below the steps. It could be much closer ....

What does the text mean ?

Exceptional views of Paris from here.

What is better than caching in such a beautiful spot, than having an ice cream while caching?

This one just had us walking in circles for a while - I don't know why as it was staring us in the face the whole time.
Thanks Great spot and we really did explore the area and the Basilica

First cache on a short trip to Paris with my daughter. We had a great view of Sacre Coeur from our hotel window, and decided to spend the afternoon exploring Montmartre. Did this and the nearby cache, but got to the one in the cemetary 5 minutes after the gates shut, so I cam back a few days later for that one.

Despite being told by my daughter that we were absolutely not going to do any caching on this trip, we managed 10 over 4 days. And she actually told me that she enjoyed some of them! Indeed, she found most of them! It was nice to have her as a geocaching partner, while I was parted from Jack Sad, who was sailing around the South coast of England claiming caches for himself.

Have emailed what I think is required to claim this cache.

Visiting Paris from San Franciso, California. Took the crowded tram to the top and enjoyed the interior of the church. Had fun with the rotating bathroom. Heh. Thanks for the fun!

The cache was done at night and the view over Paris was fantastic. Thanks.

Not sure what is required to log this as a find, but we walked all the steps from the Metro to the very top, and I am posting a picture of the kids getting their portraits done by some artists who originally wanted 80 Euro each, and settled for 20 Euro for both!

Thanks for the fun and Happy Hunting!

A nice place for a virtual cache! We took the easy way up (finiculaire) because our weekly Carte Orange also covers this. TFTC!

Visited Montmarte 8 years ago, and a good chance to return on a work trip. Took the funicular as my tourist ticket allowed it, and I walked last time! Email to follow, wireless access is only downstairs in the hotel and I left the sheet in the room. Cheers from Australia.

The logging requirement shouldn't be in the encrypted hint. I have a photo and will email soon.

Nice spot, but time it right if you don't like swimming through tourists. Razz
