Due to a lot of tree work being done around GZ, I have temporarily disabled this cache till the tree work has been completed. It will return, please be patient.

02-Feb-09
[This was hard to find] under all the debris [but found it second time round.]

22-Jan-09
Disasterous! Followed instructions but still couldn't find it after extensive search. Kids hurt themselves on the branches from the felled trees. Ended up getting so frustrated they started throwing stones at each other. All the kids in tears. Has it been moved?

17-Jan-09
Went for a run around Cambridge and used Geocache locations to plan the route - this was stop #3

25-Dec-08
Needs maintenance due to tree felling, updating instructions would be useful

02-Dec-08
Found only after walking most of the way round the lake and up hills, then resorting to asking a council worker. Local knowledge is obviously key for this cache. Co-ordinates for the cache would be an advantage as you would have a target to track to. TNLNSL

15-Nov-08
Biggest fallen, but closeby. Great spot. TFTC

09-Nov-08
Visited site last week. the local council has been busy! found cache that had been relocated nearby. am happy with its placement [under the sleeping giant]. can someone visiting next please take a pencil sharpener. Thanks.

20-Oct-08
I had a good look around but as the area is a mess and there were a few muggles closeby I decided to abandon the search. Not certain where Geckoh's nearby spot is.
Definitely needs maintenance.

15-Sep-08
Please check cache before the tree that has been felled gets removed, possibly destroying the cache!!

13-Sep-08
Found it with my Dad. Signed log as GuanoGerbil. Thanks for the fun!

13-Sep-08
As you can tell from GuanoGerbil's log the possible tree the cache was hidden under/in has been felled, we have re-hidden the cache in a nearby spot, but it might be wise for the cache owner to check up on it very soon just in case the tree fellers come back to chop up the big tree!!

Took Crocodile,
Left Lizard.

13-Sep-08
Was unsure if we had the right place after seeing the tree had been cut down, with recently cut branches lying around everywhere. Found the cache in a slightly different position to the one mentioned, and found that Geckoh had just signed the log before us and noted that contents were scattered and he'd had to move the cache for obvious reasons! He's placed it in a suitably appropriate spot very nearby to where it must have been previously.
Thanks for making me finally stop here and have a look around. Loved the flow forms. A tip to other cachers - read the sign near the carpark first as we did.

31-May-08
Picked up geocoin, cache was totally exposed. Covered better on leaving.

Some nice flow forms here....thanks for the location.

Followed the huge geotrail to GZ.....

I got very confused after crossing the bridge, eventually I realised I needed to turn right.
I got to the cache and released one of my geocoins.
Thanks for the cache.

Rant: This cache should be listed as a puzzle cache as the main coordinates given are not of the cache.

10-May-08
I came so close to not finding this. Some of the other paths were closed for tree felling, and I was about to head home having confused the paths. Fortunately, had another quick look at the local map board, sorted out my paths and found the cache.

Nice location and relatively easy cache. TFTC TNLN

Always wondered what this park looked like, but always en route somewhere. Feed the ducks, much to the delight of... the ducks and two children. 6 year old made the find, and so proud of herself. TNLN TFTC

This was a great spot for a picnic lunch. We went the wrong way and ended up having a nice walk all the same and pondering the wave forms. When we found the place, the waveforms were obvious, and the cache quickly found.

Added co-ordinates for start of flow form track.

13-Apr-08
There were ducks a plenty indeed! Co-ordinates were a bit out for the start, and I can see why people have gone up the wrong track. Try going over the bridge and turn right. Cache was easy after that. Cheers Gav [2129]

Once the flow forms were found, this was a nice find! Took lots of pictures of trees, and enjoyed the talking toilet near the car park.

31-Mar-08
Nice park! Have driven thru Cambridge many times, but not looked around. Found the bridge with no trouble, but the sign to the Flow Forms was not immediately discovered . . . .

Up the steps, good work out for stiff legs . . . across the slippery bits and then . . . got it . . . but the ground cover in the area is not rebounding from the wear and tear on the hillside very well.

The Freezer Mice strike again!!!
Agree that perhaps this should not be listed as a traditional cache, as one does need additional info to complete this one.
Had absolutely no idea of what a 'flow form' was, so spent some time looking for them... maybe should have read the sign board at the parking lot!!!
However found the cache in the end.

Taking the by pass from Taupiri to the east of Hamilton and landing up in Cambridge, a good idea if you don't want to navigate and negotiate Hamilton.

Popped in here around lunch time. Lots of workers doing lunch in the car park as I took a walk around this very picturesque park and its lake.

Found the flow forms - which were not at all what I was expecting, did some counting and scrambling and bingo, the treasure ws mine.

A very pleasant place to visit and stroll about.

Cache is all in order and rehidden well, as found.

It was a little bit confusing with the local council doing work in the area but once navigating past the mounds of dirt, diggers, grader and piles of gravel it was a nice easy find.

A nice park to wander around in as well with kids enjoying the play ground up near the begonia house.

#3 today - just about didn't do this one due to my mate saying it was away from the carpark. I had expensive Radio test equipment with me and was worried about possible theft. Threw caution to the winds and did it. Just as well I did as it is a beautiful place. Love the water features.
Quick find, mainly by looking at the gum trees.

12.10pm. Often have coffee at the craft centre in the church but have never ventured across to the edge of the park opposite. What a magnificent park materialised. So we approached this cache from the north west and enjoyed the ducks and water lillies as we went. Wondered what flow forms were but got our answer. Perhaps we didn't count correctly...and maybe that wasn't a gum tree(?)Unfortunately, we didn't find this cache today, although we found a likely spot, with an empty cavity that seemed to be the correct size and shape to hide a cache. The cache area was really interesting...

Waiting to see if someone else finds this to make a trip back. Kids thought feeding the ducks made up for the DNF.

A cool walk to the cache - I didnt even realise Cambridge has a lake!! And finding out what flow forms are was cool too. Arrived at 1pm just as the water started flowing - very exciting to watch.

Sorry it has taken so long to add my find log. Found this cache and picked up TB Mustang Sally while on holidays.
Took me ages to work out what a flow form was but just loved them once found and took 'track' to cache easily.
Took lots of photos as inspiration for garden back home in Oz. Also took video footage of loo near carpark. Just classic - really something not to miss if you are not use to this type of class (also if you find it amazing you HAVE to go and see the movie "Kenny"). NB I flushed after using it but try leaving without flushing!

Was down in Hautapu on business and this was the "nearest" on my GPS... so headed here on way back to auckland.
Needed a few texted hints from TechnoKitten as I had no "paper"... Cache was obviously not at GPS coords.. so need more details...
after given the free form hint I headed up the path... Given that this cache was rated 1 for difficulty and 1 for terrain I was expecting an easy pickup.. as I have been informed that a 1 should be wheelchair accessible.. And here I am stumbling over Free Form waterfalls.. and wandering among the bushes and fumbling amongst wandering dew... before finding a "green"??? looked grey to me..
cache..
Nice place though... would suggest you review the rating of this cache..
