Tried looking for this today, should have read log before searching however...
This one sits there staring at me as one nearby which I haven't done yet, but it's not possible to do it. Can it please either be fixed or archived?
Edit: I now see that the owner hasn't logged in for over 3 years. Time for it to be sent to cache heaven, methinks.

Wish we'd read the comments before trying to locate this one, climbed over the fence and got chased by security looking for this cache. but had a fun day all the same...
NO LUCK WITH ONE, WOULDN'T BOTHER LOOKING AS THE POSTS ARE ALL THE SAME, WORKS HAVE GONE ON HERE.
did not find this one even after a pretty exhaustive search, the VRC has put in a new wall to help combat rising flood waters from the maribyrnong river, i believe these works may have something to do with the difficulty in finding the cache
Walked up & back a few times and even climbed through a hole in the tea-tree fence. I don't think this cache still breaths. Excuse the horrible pun associated with the location, but it's a Dead-Horse
Tried to find this one today but GZ was fenced off and appeared to be redeveloped. Couldn't see the cache anywhere.
Riding past today, I noticed that there are major changes being made to the landscape (ie. a scoop was in use as I passed by). It's a long time since I found this cache, but I'm pretty sure that the place it was hidden is in the process of a major transformation - it would be unlikely that the cache has survived...it needs checking out. Cheers, Brotex
found while on a bike ride, not great weather which was good as it kept the muggles away.

Today I walked more than 20km for just 4 caches. It's time to get a bike or at least buy a metcard...
This was the last one before I lost all my luck. Also, I'm not sure, whether I signed the right log because the last entry was from the end of 2007 and it was pretty full. But I could not find another one...

GPS was initally telling us to go inside the grounds of Flemington Racecourse... after a stealthy break-in and search, our GPS changed it's mind and told us to go back outside the grounds. Found the cache at 8:30pm ish with nobody about. TNLN.

A pleasant walk from the car (which we parked on Langs Rd). Relatively easy to find the cache, but had to wait for endless rowers, barges and tourist boats to pass first. Wouldn't be quite so easy in the first week of November! TNLNSL. TFTC.
Found the cache on a family bike ride. Lots of muggles around on a beautiful, summer evening, but most on other side of river.

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon for a wander along the Maribyrnong. Horse racing was back on but this part of the world was nice and quiet. No swaps made. Thanks for the cache
Found by Pickupfamily Dad 1020hrs after a very pleasant walk along the river. Nice to see the native plantings inside the racecourse grounds. A few runners around (and somebody fishing where I parked) but not enough to cause trouble finding and returning the cache. TNLN. TFTC Mr Blobby.

A nice fast find for once, after I'd admired the view for a moment to let a muggle and dog past. TNLN. TFTC.
Waited a while for the muggles to clear off, then in and out with no problem. Not bad for a short detour from my daily commute.

Found 200702171509 . I was fortunate to be able to turn this cache into a driveby thanks to the gates being open at the southern approach . I parked the RhinoMobile in such a way that the fisher-muggles on the other side of the river couldn't see what I was up to, and an easy find was enjoyed.

Found today teamed up with bacPAQer at around 6.00pm.The gates were closed so walked the trek to GZ .After a bit of skybird trouble,we zeroed in to the hide location and found the stash.TNLN.Thanks Mr Blobby.
Final for the evening with the Farmer. Tried getting this using TomTom...but the autocorrection feature is quite inaccurate offroad...so switched back to GPSDash and cache was in hand in moments. TNLNSL. On the long walk back to the car, we witnessed the earth-moving trucks (big beasties they are too) having a race around the course with their orange lights flashing...they were really moving too!
I couldn't believe that they would let someone like me drive right through the middle of the race course.
There was lots of preparation for the Spring Racing carnival in the middle of the paddock, and none of the workers took any notice. Sometimes it helps being dressed up to the nines - makes you look official. I just pretended I was inspecting the structural integrity of the fence.

#47 of 101 finds for the day in the company of Daks Emu Mob.
The Caching Gods were back and smiling down upon us.
As we pulled up and saw the gate closed, we resigned ourselves to a significant walk... i was content with the parking spot but Dak wasn't.
As he pulled the car around to reposition it, The Caching Gods opened the gate! .... well, i concede running over the in-ground loop could have done it too.
Anyway, we shot throught the open gate and parked at GZ. A quick find, a quick log and back out the gate before it time to close!
Thanks to mr Blobby for the cache.

Lots of construction work along racecourse this morning. Nice river walk remining me of similar walks I took along here when I once lived locally. Nice easy find
Took a little while to find the best entrance, then walked further than I had to, but once I was there it was an easy find. To Mouse, Left Cat (!) TFTC
Thankyou. Our first Cache. We found it first place we looked. Because of the weather (cold and rainy), there weren't many people around. Took TB, left Toy Car.

This one turned out to be a bit of a walk from Racecourse Road where I got off the tram. I visited Flower Power 2 along the way. The track along the river was busy, since there is renovation work going on in the raceway and there were several trucks and utes which went past while I was approaching the cache. And just as I was sgtanding by the river signing the log, along came a grass trimming machine - I thought he was looking to trim me as he headed straight towards me. However, he veered off and after a few minutes I was able to replace the cache. And then a dog started barking from close by, so I thought it was time to hightail it out of there. Thanks for the views of the racecourse and the river. TNLN.
@13.30 Found it fairly easy. 2-star difficulty? I'd say only because of the many possible mugglers... Can you place bets in the cache? Would be good to see a race here one day.

Cache two of thirty for the day. The cache was found at 8:40 on my western assault day.

Well, it was a pretty quiet spot this morning, although a couple of workmen's cars did go past while I was at GZ, and a guy did walk past just after I had replaced the cache (I suspect he though I had been attending to a "call of nature" ). This area is quite pretty these days, I don't think I've ever actually stopped around here before - always a case of 'just passing through'.

Had a day off work with a sick daughter (what an amazing recuperation when a possible trip to the zoo was mentioned!) and decided to tackle this one at around 16:00. We were less than a km away when daughter zonked out in the car seat. I decided to at least drive on and perform a recce, but was delighted to find that this cache was basically a drive by. I may have been less conspicuous if I was on a horse, but I was quite chuffed to be able to retrieve the cache safely whilst keeping an eye on my sleeping passenger.

Ran to this cache from the city over lunch. For anyone interested, 6.5km as the crow flies does not relate to about the same distance when you follow a river to get there ... Had run nearly 20km by the time I returned. Found it no dramas. Took and left nothing and did not sign the log. Will have to get organised and atleast take a small pencil with me on my runs! Thanks for placing a 'run turnaround' at a great location.

This was the fifth of seventeen caches found today with Team Crackers. Finding the best access to this cache proved quite difficult, eventually we were able to drive right up to it. We used the car as a shield in order to retrieve this one without the fisherman on the other side of the river seeing us. The cache was found quickly.

Found 13:15, this was our fifth find while out for a day of caching with Cracker Girl. It took a little while to find the right way into this one but it was worth the effort as we were able to use the car as a shield between us and nearby fisherman while we retrieved the cache. I'm guessing this one would have to have a rating 5 on a raceday but today there was nobody around except for the fisheman.

This was my second bite at this one. Called in last week and drove right to the cache but I don't think I was supposed to. The gate on the right was open and I drove around on the outer part of the horse track. Because I was feeling guilty about being where I was I didn't look too hard and didn't find it then. Today I parked at the gate and walked in and had a more leisurely look and found the cache quite easily. Took a shark or dolphin thingy and left a frog I think, if memory serves me correctly.
There were hundreds of needles around the gate where I parked so if anyone parks in the same place, be carefull where you step.
Thanks Mr Bobby for the outing.

This one is set in a nice part of western Melbourne. I enjoyed the walk, even though I had ened up on the wrong side of the river. So we made a nice lap around. With it now getting dark it made it tricky to locate the cache without the peope over the river wondering what we were doing. But we made the find in 5 minutes. Thanks for the cache from M.B and D.C..

It is amazing how much a little bit of daylight helps when looking for a cache. I tried this one about 6 months ago around dusk and did not see it when I looked in the "correct" spot. Today I walk straight up to the cache and found it within 30 seconds. Was it the daylight? Was it the additional 5 months experience? Who knows.

After arriving at a locked gate we were content with a 400 metre walk but I decided to look into this further. After a quick tour of the area the 4X4 was cruising along a track to a drive-by cache.

Called in at Flemington today to enter TB 'Phar Laps Friend' for the big race next Tuesday. He wants to have his photo taken there if possible. The place was a hive of activity with marquees being installed and workers everywhere. Luckily, there was still a bit of peace down around the cache site. Just as well Dak moved the cache, as the original hiding place has been pruned completely away.
Yeah, definately risky place, just like placing bets. However, it does help to go there during the week. Junior didn't appreciate the walk, but he was more than happy to exchange the sewing kit for a golf ball...

After a day at home, what about a “Day at the Racesâ€ Off we went for a quick trip to find this one before dinner. A bit of a walk got us near GZ however confidence wasn’t high with Geko telling us we were 11 metres below sea level!!! After it settled down though, the find was quite quick and at 18:20, a golf ball went in for a parachuter (out).

Easy find after a pleasant walk from the easterly direction. Had a little difficulty in getting privacy at GZ - muggles on foot, in cars, in boats - everywhere! Despite Daks' best efforts, the cache itself was quite exposed - possibly thanks to the efforts of the gardeners; concealed again by "thing that covers the cache" as we left.

The main gate was closed, so I parked across the river, on the other side of the bridge, 350m from the cache. When I walked into the car park, I found that another, secondary gate was open, and I could have driven to within 5m of the cache.
Anyhow, the walk was pleasant, despite the less-than-pleasant weather. At GZ, I found that the gardeners have been pruning the surrounding trees, and their cuttings lay all around. I found the cache easily at 1150, and made my log and exchange. However, I hid the cache a bit better than I found it, because I was afraid that the gardeners might discover it when they remove the cuttings. I covered it with leaf litter, so that, even if they do remove the "thing that covers the cache", they won't see the cache. Of course, this will make it more difficult for the next finder. Sorry 'bout that! If the next cacher finds that the cuttings have been removed, but the "thing that covers the cache" is still in place, they can dispense with the leaf litter.

Arrived B4 the betters today. I drove to within 8m of the cache. Almost got sprung by the gardeners. A lovely spot. Took a wrist strap and left a catch. Don’t get caught here!!! Clear skies, John.
I think we spent more time trying to find a car park than we did trying to find the cache.
Our 4 year old team member found the cache after reaching GZ, so it's not really that difficult to locate, but it did give her a thrill to find the 'treasure chest' as she likes to call it.
We took a Frog and left behind a Flashy Bracelet (press it hard and it will light up).

Found at 4:35pm. After a 2 minutes head scratching I spotted what was obvious laying on the ground 2 metres away. It's also a quiet afternoon and so nothing to worry about, which makes things easier. When I replaced the cache I covered it a little better, but to a cacher it would scream out 'you beauty'.
Swapped a Simpson's cop figurine for a red car.

First find with our new GPSr (Meridian Platinum - which now makes 4 of the same model in the family! - maccamob, geojo, slider and smurf). Found at 14:10 after a few wrong turns by navigator Tania but soon got our bearings with a few tweaks to the menus and soon reached GZ. Found after a few minutes as luckily not many people around today outside on a race day! took earrings, left glitter stars.
Thanks Mr blobby it was our first geohunt to my Daughters and dog down tonight had dinner by the river before a quick walk to locate area took about 15 minutes of wandering around to find the cache..
Took the Angel left A chief Wiggam character.

We were lucky there were not many people around, had to wait a minute for some dog walkers and bike riders. Found GZ quick enough but had trouble locating the cache, searched for about 20 minutes but the heat got to us and we took shelter in the car for a few minutes and decided to have one more attempt before we gave up. A few moments later after searching high and low it was finally located.
Thanks Mr. Blobby for a very nice spot, at least the river was nice and cool as the younger WesternStars soon found out.
Took mitre10 toycar. Left stick on jewel earings.

After Quasar’s log I was a little worried about this one, however, after looking around for a few minutes with no luck, I checked the GPSr and then looked in the same place again finding the cache. The weather today was beautiful. We sat for a while looking over the river before walking back to the car. We made no exchange.
Thanks Mr Blobby!

Rode my bike into this one, and searched all the obvious hiding spots, including buried ones...Had no luck finding it so gave up after about 20 mins.
I had been here about 3 months earlier and couldn't find this cache. Dog kept barking in the background so I gave up on it.
My 1st find of 11 for the day. Managed to drive right up to the area where the cache was. Spent 15 minutes checking through the bush till I spotted your hiding place . Found at 1010.
Swapped earplugs for miniture cards. Thanks Mr Blobby for the cache.

A nice Sunday morning walk from our Ascot Vale home. GZ had us with mulch under our fingernails, but a few steps back and a new perspective -- and we were on the money! Took Christmas rolling stamper, left travel card deck (for the gamblers), Qantas pin and tiny unicorn eraser.
Found on a pleasant Sunday afternoon stroll. A nice easy find. Took nothing left nothing.
Thanks Mr Blobby

Beautiful day for caching, apart from the wind that whipped my hair everywhere!! Bit of a walk from the car park, but surprisingly few people about. Had to resort to the Maccamob help line after the first search yielded nothing ... amazing how your brain gets wired to look for certain things in certain places, and you completely miss what you're actually looking for!! Found quickly on the second attempt - should have spotted that one easily. Swapped a geocoin for a christmas rolling stamper. Thanks Mr Blobby!
Found at 13.00. Biggles Bear placed his bets and it was not long before he saw a return on his investment. Took nothing left nothing, great cache, thanks Mr. Blobby.
I don't know why I didn't find this one sooner. As it was, it took ages, although I must have looked virtually straight at it on a couple of occasions. 'There are none so blind as they who will not see'. I even attempted to ring the Maccamob helpline, but there was no response, so I had to find it myself.
When I did, I could have kicked myself. I had looked there, then further afield, in case the satellites were not pleased with me. The actual co-ordinates were fine, it was just one of those days. Luckily there were very few passersby, even though it was a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon.
I took a keychain 'hook thingy' and left a bubble maker. I also left a Texas Geocoin number TX0472 to start its travels. Thanks, Mr Blobby, for an enjoyable cache with some lovely scenery.

Found by Mary & David at 0940. A damp Melbourne morning, so almost no-one about. The CBD skyline was wrapped in clouds, mist and probably pollution, but still very picturesque. No trouble getting the cache without being observed. Took magnetic key case, left Nokia keyring. Thanks to Mr Blobby for coaxing us across to the other side of the river.
