I missed this one so I had to do a U-turn. This was a nice easy find. Thanks TeamAstro for placing and maintaining this old cache
A very old cache, this has been here a year longer than we have been caches. Thanks for the cache
Found quickly with Nibletricecakes and KrispyStrips on our Road to Esperance trip. Thanks for giving us a break in the very long drive.
On a big adventure from Canberra to Esperance and back to celebrate a year of good things (Happy Birthday Krispystrips). Today was day 10 of our journey. Starting in Ceduna we travelled into the Nullabor to begin exploring this long plain for the first time. There is always so much more to see on these drives than we ever have time to do, but we cram in as much as we can! Found with Krispystrips and GLISS! Thanks for the cache.
Find number 13658 at 3:46:43PM on Saturday the 24 August 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leasurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back. After some relaxing in Ceduna, today we're on the road again and heading for somewhere not too far west, but depends on what we stop to look at (made it to the Head Of The Bight free camp).Love the larger geocaches, a quick park, grab and dash.**Thanks for placing this cache TeamAstro**---*WOW, so much happening here in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.
Bolted into the scrub to find a surprisingly large cache Had a fab day exploring along the Nullarbor Plain.TFTC TA
Thought we left the virtual solar system behind when we turned off at Gilgandra NSW but now the big blue planet appears on our screens again. Either the planets or geono. are on a strange rotation. This was a great place to stretch the legs and find a good old school regular. We didn't have anything celestial to leave so we just signed the log. TFTC TeamAstro. I'm still miffed Pluto has been wiped from the solar system.. just saying...
On our travels we found ourselves heading west and took the opportunity to stretch our legs and grab this cache, a nice quick find, thanks for placing it
As it happens, Neptune is only a wee bit further (21kms) along the road from Yalata. Yalata was an opportunity for a petrol stop and of course the obligatory ice cream before continuing the journey to the Nullarbor Roadhouse tonight. Stopping here was peaceful and the opportunity to stretch the legs and take a short walk to GZ where we were very happy to spy an old ammo tin in very good nick. Thanks Team Astro. A lovely diversion today! Chasing planets and comets across this wide brown land. Domsky
Were travelling west along the Nullabour. Weve had torrential rain today which has been interesting. Were just going slow no fixed timeframe. Tftc
On our travels from SW of WA to the Leap Day Mega Event in Adelaide area. Stopping for a cache here and there as we go. No nightly destination known just stop when either weve had enough or time is getting on.TFTC
TFTC We learned a bit about Neptune we did not know. Thanks for the information.
After spending a few days in Gawler it was time for to drive my mums (well my car now) from Gawler back to Perth. This was day two travelling from Streaky Bay to Border Village on a 5 day 3,100km adventure. It was very bleak and cold morning 13c bult felt like 5 in Ceduna and the temp did get somewhat better later in the day. Did not have a jumper as i left Perth in a heatwave and arrived to one in SA. .Ended up buying a jumper at Ceduna. Now for a contrast the day before ranged between 36 and 45!!!And there are hundreds of signs saying do not drive tired so geocaching helped with that.Found lots of caches on the trip. The weather had fined up by the time i got here. Thanks for the cache teamastro and making me get out and stretch with the short stroll to the cache of which i could have driven to but chose not to.
Travelled a long way over the last 6 days (from Perth) but a long way more to get to Neptune. TFTH.
Had this one marked on the navigation and managed a tyre blowout 20kms out which delayed our arrival. Once fixed, and tyres warm, we arrived to find the cache with no trouble. Thanks so much for this cache

This cache was the last one on our Epic Maralinga trip with JJ52, Mogni, AllisterW, the coffee's, Honeysucker and sewthat.
Mrs Bee targeted this cache due to its age. She was sad to discover it wasn't near the ocean cause Neptune has two meanings but after a few days of desert she was hoping for sand! Not to Bee but she did find a nicely stocked ammo tin!
Tftc astro!!

The Maralinga mob had finished a wonderful weekend of caches and tour of the 1950's Nuclear testing site, we arrived back on the Eyre highway and this was one cache we had to do before heading back to Streaky Bay.
The cache was found easily and in good condition, an oldie we are happy to log the find and a favourite point from me.
Many thanks to Team Astro,

Brad and Janet are on another epic journey.?This time it involves many of Len Beadell’s 6500km of roads including the Anne Beadell, the Connie Sur, the Heather, the Neale, the Gun Barrel Highway, the Gary, the Talawana Track, the Gary Junction Rd and more.
And of course a 2 day visit to Maralinga which Len also located, surveyed and largely built as he had with Woomera and Emu. An amazing man.
If you don’t know of him he wrote some wonderful books. Laconic with a dry sense of wit, they are an excellent read. They are also available as audiobooks as is a recording of his brilliant after dinner talk one evening in Shepparton. Worth a listen.
And now the Moon Tours trip is over we are heading back to Adelaide via whichever way takes our fancy after a few days rest and repair in Karratha. Almost certainly down the WA Coast before heading to Hyden and the land of the Salmon Gums.

On the way to the Head of Bight we stopped here for a break. Quick and easy find. TFTC, greetings from Germany
Heading west and couldn't pass up another Astro cache... made a quick find here. Looks like a pretty decent camp site too but its a bit early to pull up. Tftc

On a big road trip to Perth - Brim, Paruna, Murray Town, Kooma View Farmhouse, Penong, Nullarbor Roadhouse, Mundrabilla Roadhouse, Caiguna Roadhouse, Norseman, Kalgoorlie and Wave Rock. Today we are headed to the Nullarbor Roadhouse and we stopped in here to stretch the legs and locate the cache. It was Mrs. Pooky who spotted the hide but Mr. Pooky who did the retrieving. TFTC. We're heading west to view the total solar eclipse in Exmouth in April and decided to stop here for this rather old cache on our way. A short walk away from the main parking area had us at the cache where we signed the log and grabbed the trackables then beat a hasty retreat before the march flies carries us away!
Thanks for find #4384

Nice stop here to break up the drive. We found this cache, picked up two trackables and dropped two trackables off to further travels. TFTC
Great little spot here and great to see the hide type in good condition after all this time. Dropped 2 TB's to be moved on. TFTC and showing us another great area!
I reached the GZ but unfortunately my partner spotted a snake a few metres from me so we had to quickly scadattle. Will hopefully have another chance on our way back to WA in a few weeks
Nice fun find to break up our trip from Melbourne to Perth. Cache in great condition. TFTC
After wandering around W.A. for the last 3 months hunting wildflowers and caching along the way we are slowly heading home to S.A. A nice quick find. T.F.T.C.
A great cache along the highway. I love the info sheet, had a quick perusal but didn't have time to read through unfortunately.

We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. Geocaching has taken us to so many great places in this beautiful country. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Stopped off here to stretch the legs and grab this hide. Happy to find a trackable that needed to continue it's journey in the east.
Thanks TeamAstro for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Great idea for a series of caches! I’ll have to look out for the other ones. Left a little star to keep on theme, plus a Boomerang trackable I found! He started in WA and only just managed to cross a border, so please keep him going EAST so he can explore a bit more before he heads home
This has a traceable who is wanting to travel East. Please leave if you are travelling West
Cache and log are good. Great to find an ammo can. Favourite point. TFTC TeamAstro.
It has taken us a long time to venture this far to the outer solar system.
A lovely spit to stretch the legs and make a cuppa
TFTC and greetings from Tassie

I love a nice big military cache, they are always watertight and usually not hard to spot. This cache was found while travelling from Yalata to Border Village.
My goodness those flies are vicious but it was worth it for such an old cache. Thanks TeamAstro
Another parkacruz adventure, happy to say we came up trumps here today and walked away with a smiley TFTC
The flies are really big 0n Neptune. They also bite. Only defence was to keep moving and waving my arms about. Hope no one saw it as a distress wave. TFTC
We had planned a trip to Mexico but had to change plans last minute. Friends were travelling to WA for an extended holiday and asked if we would like to join them. It was an easy decision to accept their offer, although 2 wks wasnt long enough for the 1000's of kms we travelled.
We have stopped at Mambray Creek, Penong, Lucky Bay and Pemberton so far.
We have found some of this series so we had to stop for this one. Thanks TeamAstro for placing and maintaining this cache

Another really old cache, and I gather it’s the original container too. I’ve stopped here for the night (nice and quiet, I was the only one in this rest spot for the whole night). I decided to venture away from the van in the moonlight to find this cache before turning in for the night. Thanks Team Astro (sadly not clear skies this particular night, but I’m sure they do get plenty out this way).
Found whilst on our whale watching trip, fantastic country, busting wth wild flowers and enormous marine creatures! Outer world;y just like space....

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
Off to the west coast for a Holiday. [^] Holiday Sal Style that is. We are sightseeing - if there happens to be a cache there - great - get it. Luckily caches are in really interesting spots anyway.
Day 4: Ceduna with a day trip to the Head of the Bight.
I know it was a big drive today to get to the head of the bight but somehow we managed to make it to Neptune as well. Now that is great size container and still fully waterproof after 18 years.
***Thanks TeamAstro for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

By fluke we ended up choosing this location to camp overnight on our journey across to WA. We had gone for a ride around the trails before dark and then back at camp we set the WiFi up and got service to find a cache a few hundred metres from our camp, so without loading the cache page properly I ventured off just on dark to find the cache and found it easily once arriving to gz.

On our big trek home after a great 5 weeks in WA. We had stopped close by to stretch the legs and give the dogs a run and I happened to look at my phone and saw this cache not too far from where we were parked.
A short walk later and the cache was found and the log stamped.
Thanks for the cache TeamAstro.

TeamOZCAT has a log in this cache and due to a team change I am now logging as an individual to prevent any mistake in revisiting. Thanks kindly CO for placement of cache.
Please excuse belated generic log. We (and LAPUN) began our objective to drive from home, (being border towns Albury/Wodonga NSW/Vic on the Mighty Murray river) to Eucla WA and return.
Departed on the 17th April and returned Anzac day 25th.A good 8 days camping at a different place each night. Caching was not one of our objectives but managed an average of 2 per day giving a total of 16 hides.
All hides were in good to fair condition and none required maintenance. Thanks to CO for placement of cache.
