As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

We were passing through on the Cape to Cape track, heading for the campsite. We paused to have a quick look here, but with nothing matching the hint and its status as "temporarily unavailable", plus heavy back packs we soon moved on. It was a shame as there are so few geocaches that are accessible from the track and not along the road. Hope this one becomes active again.

Hi

This is my my geocache that I happend to post on this site so not really any of your business. If you dont like the fact that I haven't rushed down there and walked into areas DEC are declaring as "no go areas" - bad luck.

I will attend to it when I can and when access to this area of bush is permitted. In the mean time how about everyone searches for "live" caches - no shortage. Sorry if the compulsive/obsessive geocachers are quivering at the knees because it hasnt been "fixed", but again.. bad luck.

Cheers

The old house was not damaged and while walking in the bush is still prohibited the paved track to the falls is open, no further. Looking from the paved track down to where the GPS indicates the cache would be, there is little left at ground level and most stumps etc are well burnt out..... not much hope of a plastic box surviving I am afraid.

07-Feb-12
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.

You guys are anal.

Will get onto ASAP.

Read the logs - you are not allowed in there.

You can not get to the cache area, because it's been closed due to the bushfire. Not clear that the cache survived the fire.

18-Dec-11
We could not access to the road and path leading to the parking. They were closed because of bush fires which occured about two weeks ago.

16-Nov-11
Another of those spots we probably wouldn't have visited but for caching.
Thanks The Explorer

We were visiting WA with Robyn's 88yr old mother looking for wildflowers and only time for a short visit in the area before heading off to our destination for the night. One day we hope to find ourselves back here with plenty of time to spare to explore. TFTC The Explorer

Visiting in the South West is really tough. As we write up our days caching we are sipping on wine and sitting in front of the log fire. It's helping us to forget how windy it was out there today, although very little rain as was originally forecast. Found the cache using the hint combined with the co-ords as was about 14mt out. The cache container had gone brittle and the cache was full of water. So we replaced the container and put a new cache note, but unfortunately it has our name and logo on it you may want to replace it when you get a chance. TFTC The Explorer, great place to visit.

13-May-11
An easy find by the water. Since there was water inside the container I believe the cache needs maintenance. Thanks for another cache along the cape to cape track.

14-Apr-11
Day 3 of our Cape to Cape walk. This was another one of my favorite spots along the track. The homestead is beautiful and I rested a while under the shady trees near the brook. We continued on up the track and the cache was found easily before heading on to the Ellensbrook campsite for the night, my favorite on the whole track.

14-Apr-11
Mid afternoon on the third day of our Cape to Cape walk found us at this charming little snippet of yesteryear. Very well looked after old homestead. Such lovely springy green grass - one notices such things when walking long distances. No problems finding the cache.

I took this on with only the coords and without first reading your info/clues... So Parked up and crashed into the bush (Not the well maintained and easy to follow track near the designated car parking).. A few scratches latter after followed some animal tracks I got to GZ and found your coordinates spot on! The designated pathway is worth the visit to this spot. TFTC

Thanks .... No wonder they settled here. The cache was damp inside!!!

A great place we would never have discovered without this cache. Cache is damp. We found it slightly open but assumed this was to give it a chance to dry out, so have left it in a similar manner but covered.

What a beautiful spot! Sadly we have stayed at Gracetown Caravan Park for 4 years previously and always driven past here. Many thanks for bringing us into such a lovely spot. The walk to the falls was a delight and the crew of stealth cachers found the cache while the others pushed each other into the creek! TFTC Smile

This was my third geocache with an experienced geocaching friend and I think I have the geocaching bug...

Found on nice sunny day with geo friend while on hols. Thanks for the hint as we would have not found it due to tree cover. Took TB.
Thanks for the hunt.

06-Feb-10
Some contents spoiled when box got wet - needs a sort out.

03-Feb-10
Lovely spot but we definitely needed the hints as GPS not too good under the trees. We could hear the surf when we set off to find this cache so left Aussie Track a bear, surf searcher. Hope he gets closer to the water next time. Content of this cache need a sort out as some have been destroyed when it go wet. Disappointed not to be able to get into the homestead, but peeped through the windows!

Enjoyed the walk, falls and picnic area.
Too bad that the homestead was closed.

29-Dec-09
Very nice place. Geochaching brings us to places we would otherwise have missed when travelling. This is one of those places.
The container has some cracks and is moist inside. We didn't have enough time to let the cache and its contents dry. We hope the next cachers have some time and equpiment to do this.
After finding the cache we continued on the beautiful walk to the little falls.
Thanks: "Zo zie je nog eens iets!"

15-Nov-09
What a beautiful spot, the homestead was interesting but no-one about. Spotted an enormous snake crossing the boardwalk. The walk out to the falls is definitely worth it even in dry weather.Left red echidna.TFTH

29-Oct-09
We have been here a couple of times in our pre-caching days and more than happy to have an excuse to return again.
We had intended to leave a TB but the cache was very wet and has some cracks in the edge of the lid. We tipped out the water and dried it off as best we could. if we have time we may nip back and change to container. Cheers and thanx for the cache.

Thanks for bringing us to this spot on the Western edge of Australia.

Regret though that I couldn't spend more time to truly appreciate this location.

Found cache without any problems. Still damp inside but log book seemed OK.

This was about our favorite cache on our short trip to the west.
Fantastic piece of history, and a walk to die for.
So glad we decided to finish the circuit after locating the cache.
What a beautiful area, thanks for bringing us here.
The cache was found quite easily, although I had to empty about 5mm of water out of the container.
Thankfully the log was dry.
Thanks again for a terrific cache, the memory will stay with us forever, TNLNSL

The cache was soaked, and full of scrap paper with logs. Seems it needed maintenance six months ago. Anyway, Shael6636 had supplies to tidy it up, between showers. A fantastic location, BTW.

Todays find #10 at 3.00pm for Robot1, on a quick 743km weekend caching cruise of the south west with partner-in-crime, Shael6636.

Thanks for bringing us here - enjoyed the hunt and the cache. Smile

Another great place I have never been to after many, many visits down south. The warden at the homestead when we visited was so friendly and keen to make sure we were aware of all the different features at this site. The walk to the cache site and beyond to the spring was just beautiful. Thank you for bringing us here. We really enjoyed it. Will take the kids next time with a picnic and bathers for the beach near by.

Sometimes you happen upon a great little spot hidden from the rest of the world. We were absolutely taken by the walkways and paths that took us up to the waterfall from the cottage. This would be a magic place to visit in the middle of winter when the falls were cascading with water.

Top marks to those who have developed Ellensbrook and the falls. If you happen to have a taste for ripe sweet mulberries, be quick as all the low ones get picked. I managed to get a few without getting too messy. If you get time take a bag and go for it. Top spot for a cache!

26-Dec-08
Nice place. The instructions were a bit confusing but with the coordinates and the hint, found the cache quite quickly. However, the cache had been flooded and the logbook is not useable anymore. Will need maintenance.
