Checked out the cache this afternoon, and it has indeed vanished. The area around GZ has been laid bare and looks completely different. We will replace the cache but in a nearby spot.

24-Jan-06
Visited this one today, but was a bit put off to find that all the bushes from around the centre of the arc have been removed. I had a bit of a superficial poke around amongst the rocks, and even had a quick look under the nearest bushes (which were 15m from GZ) but was not in a confident frame of mind. Given the log references to prickles, I'm forced to think the cache may have disappeared along with the shrubbery (I did see a small pink rubber ball amongst the rocks, although by itself that proves nothing). Using Google Earth, I can see that there was extensive shrubbery here when the satellite pic was taken.

Thanks maccamob - it is quite a unique little park Smile.

PS If the cache is still there, a coordinate check may be in order - my GZ was 5m onto the grass near the centre of the arc.

You should call this one "Neighbourhood Watch" because it is surrounded by townhouses. A couple of locals were out on their balcony, but I was shielded by a tree.
It looks pretty suspicious when someone in good business clobber has their head inside a bush.
Nice park. TNLN.
Good one guys.

23-Oct-05
Found at 2:29pm Accompanied by Chewinprickles.
Fourth find of Ten for the Day.
Cute little place!!!
No Swaps, Signed Log.
Thanks Maccamob....Big Grin

Stopped by on our way past today. Cache is ok and safely tucked away. Collected TB while we were there.

01-Oct-05
A nice peaceful location.

We were unable to find the cache after another lengthy search. We have suspicions that this cache may have been muggled. Noted a broken pen and empty plastic resealable bag in the vicinity of the coordinates.

Hopefully this is not the case.

05-Sep-05
Found at 2.55pm GAFF1. Not many flowers out at this time of year, however the rosemary was flowering. There was also a rabbit staring at me on the slope of the park wondering how close I was going to get to it. A very peacefull and lovely park. Thanks maccamob. Took: Shells, Left: Golf ball.

05-Sep-05
Dropped off Jade the TB.

04-Aug-05
5.45pm
Found by Roma and Max.
What a pleasant venue to complete a days caching, within an area of really high density city accomodation, with the Romax camper squeezing its way down these narrow approach streets.
Took a Duck Key Ring and left an appropriate "French" (streets of Paris), Figurine.
Thanks again maccamob,
from Romax.

01-Aug-05
Found by a gal from Minnesota around noonish today. No muggles, if you can believe that. Retrieved and restashed without a skin prick. The sun came out after my sucessful find. Does Life get any better than that???? Took Owl keychain. Left a black clip strap from my cell phone. Nice park, I enjoyed the hike from Melbourne.

17-Jul-05
This was the fourth of seventeen caches found today with Team Crackers. From the street you would not believe that such a treasure existed. I really liked the spacious layout of this garden. CrackerDad found the cache in the first place that he looked.
Thanks Maccamob for another great cache.

17-Jul-05
Found 12:59, this was our fourth cache for the day while our caching with Cracker Girl. This time I have got the right one. We pulled up here and were surprised at what we saw as we entered the gardens. This was a really unique and attractive garden that none of us had ever heard of. We followed the GPSr to GZ and found the cache in the first place we looked.
Took Mood Necklace
Left Owl Keyring
Thanks Maccamob, we really enjoyed being shown these gardens.

22-Jun-05
In reference to the last log. My wife says I'm obsessed too.
Found a week or so ago but couldn't retrieve it due to female muggles eyeballing me closely, and saying "what are you doing here in our womens peace garden--if you don't dissapear real quick their will be world war 3". They weren't really. Just my overactive imagination.
Today the hostile female muggles stayed away and I filled in the book, Left a tiger and took nothing. The cache was a bit short of little trinkets.
Thanks Maccamob and I'm glad I got away unscathed.

06-Jun-05
Another one down, Thylo say's that I am Obessed (Thyla) with this and I don't know when to stop!!!Razz

Beatiful spot, would be really nice during the day. While we were logging the cache, we were Muggled by a cute pussy cat. Running around under our feet.

Took; Stamp
Left: Duck keyring and Mood Necklace.

Thyla will need some first aid attention when we get home, big prickle stuck in her handSad

Thanks Maccamob for another great cache

17-May-05
Found this one today at 8.00am on my way to work, what a great well hidden park. TNLN
Thanks Macca mob

08-May-05
Phantom309 set out for this cache, together with his partner & first time Geocacher. Along the way we became Cheesey & Corny but are now Beau & Ali (that explains the log book entry).

Found the location easily (ironically we'd been around the corner only a couple of hours before). Dog owners should note that it's requested that dogs not be taken to this park (sad puppy).

Found the Cache after leaving many stones unturned. It was being well guarded by Brere Rabbit!

No swaps. Thanks Maccamob!

04-May-05
Dropped by this morning for a maintenance visit. Replaced all contents with dry ones in a new container. We'll dry out the old contents and they will reappear in another cache.

18-Apr-05
Pleasant small park in a fairly ugly housing estate. Must admit I looked under some rocks before spiking myself with the bushes.
Took: Silver Emperor TB, Left: Snake.
Thanks, Robmc.

25-Mar-05
In Melbourne for a visit & decided to check out Flower Power. Nice spot, but the bushes attacked me & we did some travelling to find this location.
Took Roman & left TB Silver Emperor

22-Jan-05
while in melb for the week, attending the planet shakers conferance at the national netball centre decided to do some caches. had vanessa and lauren with me on this one, very 60's. found once again by vanessa, while yours truly was moving a rock pile that looked like an obvious spot. I think i was up to rock number 20 when she yelled out found it, some distance from where i was looking. took a ruler and left a mondo.

thanks
Eric

Found by sbalogh53 at 20:05 20/1/2005.
This was the last of 10 caches for this afternoon/evening. I had tried to find this one around August 2004, but it was getting dark and I had no luck. The GPS was pointing in the middle of the open area and I still did not have enough experience to know that the EPE actually meant something. This time I widened my search and got pricked several times for my trouble. I also found the cache this time. Smile
Took: Rubbers
Put: A big glass marble

Mr.Coffee would like to thank Maccamob for this cache.
Mr.Coffee would not like to thank Maccamob for the thorns
Mr.Coffee is still bleeding from wounds and needs TLC from Mrs.Coffee
Thanks Maccamob very interesting cache in a spot I never new. Taken flashing ball - Left poncho, ruler and twin eraser pack, plus my skin.
Regards
Mr.Coffee and the Coffee Clan.

09-Jan-05
Returned to find the cache this time. Looked several times before I found the cache. It was in the same place that I was looking for it before. Mental note: must clean glasses more often! Lovely park on a warm Sunday afternoon.

Left Smashing Penny, took US quarter.

04-Jan-05
No worries about muggles on this rainy morning. Nice garden.

04-Jan-05
3:24pm|Took TB Tazmaniac|Left 1979 US Quarter

Nice peaceful spot for a cache Smile Watch where it's hidden though, scratched my arm to pieces not being careful when putting it back!

Found at 1600 - took along TrickySis to show her what fun this is and after about 10 mins she managed to retrieve the well hidden cache without getting too scratched up. Lovely little park, most impressed. The cache was getting rather full.
T: TB Tabakea and a farmyard chicken
L: gucci watch

found it @ approx. 17:30

What a beautiful little park. Found without to much dificulty, (except for the prickles).

Took bracelet
Left super ball & T.B.

Thanks maccamob for another great cache.

18-Dec-04
Last Cache for the day and the heat was beginning to get to me. Loved the park, but looked in the most obvious spots, without sucess. Will try again another day when it is not so warm that it is conspicous that you are not seeking shade!

27-Nov-04
Found by Team High Rollers, Diceman, Keymaster, Queen of hearts. Set off for our second cache for the day. Very hot and humid, very pretty and peaceful. They have really turned this place into something beautiful.
T: Fluff T.B
L: Tamaniac T.B, Dice, Snake.

20-Nov-04
Found at 8:55pm. Rabbitto's Run 2004. The 31st of 33 finds for the day on our attempt to log the most caches in Australia in one day. Time elapsed since start - 12 Hours 55 Mins.

A great park in the now twilight. Surprisingly, a whole family of Rabbits had come out for the evening and sat in peace in the garden Smile.

The final of twelve Maccamob caches today. Thanks Maccamob from D,S & H B-A.

14-Nov-04
found by team energizer today while filling in time before flying home to tassie.

had a great time trying to hone in on the area without a map (I think we found every dead end alley way, hehe) serves us right for geocaching without a map & just following the arrow eh?

very popular spot on sundays for muggles & their dogs, but with the help of one of our own virgin cacher assistants ( he was a muggle before this trip, but i think we've converted him Wink) we made it look like he was taking photo's of us while we dropped the cache back into it's hiding spot Smile

thanks for bringing us to this great spot we definately would of had no hope of finding had it not been for caching.

left a squishy/icky basketball thing
took a nascar keyring

also dropped off fluff TB to continue his search (he's a little squished in here, he would love to be moved to a roomier cache, but we didn't have time to find a bigger one before we left Melbourne)

thanks maccamob Smile

19-Sep-04
Found a couple of dead end lanes before we honed in on GZ - scary place to search for a cache here - apartment balconies overlooking GZ everywhere! Found the cache quite easily, did our stuff, then had had to wait for quite a while for a private chance to replace the cache - main offender was a muggle dog and his owner who were enjoying a sit in this historic area. Half of Alsume knew a stockman/drover who worked at this site years ago - wonder what he would think of it now?

Took: Pig keyring
Left: Bubbles

Thanks Maccamob

12-Sep-04
Did not find on 12/09/04 @ 1500 AEST approx. The coordinates put me in the middle of the 'symbol' but no sign of a cache in the hiding spots I looked in Sad. I did find a black plastic flowerpot filled with stones under a bush, and saw a rabbit grazing Cool.

Maybe next time.....if it hasn't been muggled.

30-Aug-04
Found by Ray and Maya at 11:35AM on the 30th of August. An easy find but the recent rains overnight did not make for pleasant searching. A lovely peaceful location in the city. We exchanged a pig for a bear. Thanks from The Nomads.

24-Jul-04
What a fun find. Took coin, left sac $1.00 and cross in your pocket.CoolFound by Go postal and the paint queen.

30-Jun-04
Found at 10pm on our way home from climbing at the gym in Altona, we had the GPS on telling us all about the caches hadn't found yet out west.
Took baby slinky, left green bear.
Great park and a really interesting area, especially the set of streets with only one way in and out.

19-Jun-04
Found at 1705 in company with barcoder on a wet, cold, windy (basically miserable) day--tenth of eleven for the day. What a great little park, and a great theme. It certainly brought back memories of Peter Paul and Mary, Mama Cass, Arlo Guthrie, Timothy Leary et al. The place certainly smells better now than it did in the '60s. Wink

IN: Lanyard
OUT: Key ring clip

19-Jun-04
What a peaceful place to look out on from your apartment balcony. Dak and I are 'doing well' at this time of the day. The light is starting to fade though, as we find No.10. I have two more to go, Dak has one. The wind has dropped a bit, and the rain is behaving for the moment. A great park, and a great design. We would have had "flowers in our hair" in honour of Scott McKenzie,Cool but they were not ours to pick. Thanks maccamob.

Dak 8, Barcoder 2. Sigh! Turned my back again didn't I!

IN: Slinky
OUT: Toy plane

12-Jun-04

A beautiful peaceful garden nestled in-between busy suburbia. Left wrist strap and took crayons. Peace be with you and clear skies, John.

21-May-04
Nice quiet place for a stroll and the cache. Had to wait for some people hanging around on the balcony to leave. The holes in my hands will heal with time.

Took - Chief Wiggam
Left - Auscar keyring

21-May-04
An interesting location in the middle of all that suburbia.
GZ was where the GPS said it would be.
Right to the point!
We took a Moa Yowie and left a Cool Dog Eraser.

09-May-04
Fantastic Melbourne day to explore a great suburb, really nice way to get to know the area! Would have missed this peaceful wee place if we didn't have a hidden agenda. Thankful for an accurate GPS reading, as didn't have any plasters today Wink but we both left with puncture wounds... Sat for a while and watched the people watch us in this mini big brother, took nothing today. Thanks for a great cache

12-Apr-04
Found this one on Easter Monday and finally remembered to put the log online on April 20!

The cache location certainly was very peacefull. Although I had the sensation that I was being watched... Managed to get the cache while no one was looking, but had to wait a while for a resident to drive out of their garage before putting the cache back. No swap was made.

29-Feb-04
End to another good day. taken frog, left a keyring

29-Feb-04
Found after a bit of suspicious hunting. Great location, did take us a while, particularly with the pile of suspicious looking rocks nearby.

TNLN (except TB)

29-Feb-04
Found the cache after collecting only one wound. Excellent coordinates. Spot on guys.

Nobody seemed to be watching so I got on with the business. No stopping Freddo today.

Actually I can remember the 60’s so maybe I wasn’t there. It is the late 70’s that I have the most trouble with.

Left a travel bug to continue the journey. Which I think has already gone.

Thanks for the cache and the visit to this part of the world.

24-Feb-04
Apart from the Kombi vans and the jeans with daisies sewn on them. One of the other strange products of that flower power generation was the daisy dunny brush. You had this toilet brush with a big plastic daisy on top of the handle and the brush bit sat in a flower pot base which opened when removing the brush.

17-Jan-04
Found at 5:15pm. It's a pleasant surprise to find a park / garden here amongst the houses and suburbia, especially one with history of the horses tail. Like most people I found the cache within a few minutes. Thanks maccamob.
Swapped a mini stapler for a Simpson's cop figurine.

01-Jan-04
Found at 14:30 after about 5 minutes and some cuts and scratches. Took bead key ring, left mini stapler. Great improvement to the area from what used to be there.

01-Jan-04
Nabbed this one at 19:15 with EuDes herself and PetBen who was along for the ride!!! That made it a hat-trick for the day, including 2 travel bugs. What a great start to the New Caching Year.

The TB ("Runic Travel Bug") wasn't listed as being in there for some reason but I have it now.

A great little cache in a really nice little spot, although one felt as though a thousand eyes were watching every move. A nice Peace of real estate though Wink.

Thanks maccamob and a Happy New Year to you.

29-Dec-03
Quick rummage revealed a golf ball and not long after the cache was found. Left Runic travel bug(but somebody found it and logged it before we got home and did our logs) and glow pen, took $1US. Thanks again to Maccamob, during our pitstop in Melbourne.

05-Nov-03
Number one and +1to4 spotted this while number 2 was working at the racecourse. There where to many people in the park on Tuesday to make an assult on the cache so we returned today for a nice lunch. An easy find in a great spot. The two smallest members of 2+4 had great fun climbing over the rocky bank. TNLN

Thanks Maccamob

27-Oct-03
What an improvement has been made to this area! It smells so much better now. Thanks Maccamob, for introducing us to such a unique park. Nothing exchanged. Greg and Bev

20-Sep-03
Again a great little garden on such a beautiful day; spring really has sprung. I have often wondered how Maccamob find all of the places that they hide their caches in. This little park is a wonderful place, hidden away so that you almost wouldn’t know it was there. I’m sure this park helps make the houses in the area very nice to live in.

We took a Canadian Geocoin and left some batteries. Thanks Maccamob!

15-Sep-03
Cache number 2 of 9 for the day. Found it in the obvious spot. Interesting little garden tucked away so you wouldn't know it existed. Took X-Men travel bug, and left a Canadian geocoin.

13-Sep-03
Found at 14:15. Great little park in Suburbia.Think we saw some fellow cachers cycling away. Found the cache in no time . A nice easy one for our first in Victoria.

Thanks Maccamob.

Took: Novelty Erasers
Left: Toy Plane.

PS wanted to Grab Edna East but she has already started her Journey East...

13-Sep-03
SmileFound it. I'm used to running around in my car to get close to a cache but as I am from the US I decided it would be safer for everyone if I used the Trams instead. It was a little bit of a challange to get close to this one. Once I got to within about .2 miles it was easy.

I was anticipating finding the travel bugs that were sighted in this location as I will be traveling back to Florida tomorrow. I could have given one of them a real jump in the race. I did place the X-man Travel bug in the cache. I've been told that this bug really likes kids and he now has some serious mileage on him now.

I took the Qantas pin and left The X-man TB, a hand made key ring, a Florida Turnpike Toll Ticket (very rare) and a $1.00 bill US.

Wish I had more time but gotta go. Might be back in the area in a few months and will definately find a few more. Thanks for the great cache

01-Sep-03
Dropped off TB Walter. Read his mission and see if you can help him win the race!

01-Sep-03
Dropped off TB Edna. Edna has warmed up and stretched and is ready for your help to beat Walter around the world.

02-Aug-03
Yaaa, my first successful find !! Thanks Maccamob, what a nice spot. Had to mill around abit till the coast was clear but no problems finding it. Nice camo by the way. Although frightnening to behold, I eventually swapped the eraser brush contraption for a mystery wrapped pressie! Hope someone likes them.......

Thanks for a great experience Smile

A beautiful sunny day in Winter. A nice walk after a late breakfast nearby. Had to do some extra exploring while we waited for the local dog walkers to move on. Took the glue stick and left Qantas pin, tiny unicorn eraser and peace bracelet.

28-Jun-03

Our second cache, and both in one day. This is a very interesting little park.

Brian found the well camouflaged cache. Took the 500 (baht?) note and a butterfly, left a hairclip and a pencil sharpener/eraser/brush/puzzle.

Next time we will think to take the camera.

11-Jun-03
Found at 3.05pm, started looking for this one earlier in the afternoon but was interrupted by council gardeners cleaning the park.
Decided to withdraw to do another cache and return later.
It still took a bit of searching to locate.
GZ was on the grass (again!! - shades of Race on over there)
Cache was very well camoflaged. I must have looked at it 3 times before recognising it.
No exchange made.
We can only imagine what it would be like to live in this area!!!!!!
Thanks Maccamob for showing us a different part of the Victorian lifestyle.

When the Moon is in the Seventh House, and Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace shall guide the planets

Took glue stick left 500 riel

31-May-03
Found this morning at about 1135, amazed to find no-one around on such a sunny day. A lovely park in the middle of suburbia, would not have realised it existed except for caches like this Smile Took a $50 note keyring, and left a barrel 'o' monkeys keyring in its place. Peace, Maccamob!

29-May-03
My 3rd maccamob for the day and second find. Spen a while looking for this one. Didn't want to leave the park without finding it. 12:05pm success. Thank goodness. Swapped a Glue stick for a needle threader. Thanks Maccamob.

24-May-03
A failure yet again at the nearby Race on Over There, I thought I'd give this cache a chance on my way to Melbourne. Parked in a familiar-sounding street and walked the last distance. Surprised to find such a large garden in the middle of so many houses - what a great backyard to have!

Took me two passes before spotting the cache, nobody around to disturb me during my search. Took a facial packet and left some hair crayons for those feeling like doing some decorations!

22-May-03
Found at 5.30 after a 2nd attempt to find this one. As usual very well hidden. The smell of wattle blossom was in the air. Luckily it had been a cold Melbourne day and as it was heading into darkness there were no pedestrians about to interfer with the search. Took nothing and left nothing. Thanks Maccamob.

16-May-03
Found at 1:45 during my lunchtime. No flowers in my hair today. (I don't think they'd stay even if I tried). The fog of the morning had lifted, but it was still overcast as I hunted for the cache.

Its a lovely little park, seemingly hidden away from most of the world. The one and only occupant of the park left almost immediately leaving me to search in private.

Once found, I took the Elephant Postit Notes and left a $50 Note keychain. Thanks to Maccamob for another excellent cache in a tiny pocket within suburbia.
