Not much point putting another cache in the same spot, so we'll leave the area available for someone else to use if they wish.

25-Mar-08
Thanks GeoJo,
It certainly looked like we found the exact spot, but no cache in there. Thanks.

24-Mar-08
Went to check up on this cache on behalf of maccamob and can confirm the cache is missing. It will be a couple of weeks before this one can be replaced or relocated.

21-Mar-08
Found what looked like a cache cubby hole disturbed and spread about. Looked everywhere, but to no avail, the gps kept putting us back there and the only real possible spot seemed it had gone awol.
May need checking.

17-Feb-08
Found on a beautiful day by Rooboks, lots of Muggles & rowers around, had to be extra sneaky. TNLN, but lots of goodies in there!

27-Jan-08
Found after a short walk along the river. There were plenty of muggles around this morning as the was a lot of rowing on the river and coaches biking up and down the paths.

We waited a little while for a muggle free zone and then quickly grabbed the cache.

Took: Small kangaroo
Left: Foam Rocketship

Signed the log.

Thanks for the cache Maccamob!!! A truly nice area to walk.

28-Dec-07

28-Dec-07
Yay! Found this one without too much difficulty in very little light - had to use the torch on the mobile phone!!
Second cache of the day whilst we were staying in one of the holiday parks across the road. Thanks.

03-Dec-07
My second cache find on an early morning caching run. It was pouring rain as I was looking for this cache. Stumbled up on the wrong side of the fence and found lots of hiding spots but no cache. I realised I must be in the wrong spot so headed back down and straight to the cache. I blame the rain.

Thanks Maccamob

17-Sep-07
Date in logbook incorrect - I was getting ahead of myself.

maccamob cache, um, so what was so special about today?

I'll tell you - I MADE THE 300 Big Grin

Also, at one of the lookouts that I had to visit whilst caching a rather large single bird in the not too far distance caught my eye. I was about the go fishing for the binoculars when the bird hung a right (it's left) and then the next bird hung a right, and then the next bird, etc (total 15 ducks)- I think you had to be there to appreciate the beauty of the whole thing though.

Thank's for maccamobing another day guys.

8.15am
Found by Roma and Max.
Once again another popular venue for cyclists, walkers and their pets.
We had to choose our time for what turned out to be an easy search, Max doing the honors, while Roma stood cockatoo!
Once again we left one of our Mondo Figurines for the cache and took a (very frustrating), Space Game.
Thanks maccamob for the cache.
Romax.

Had a nice stroll along river bank then found cache. Found at 8:00pm so didnt have any onlookers.
Left Tasco pin took nothing.

25-Feb-07
So much for Geelong being the home of the cats, based on the action near the GZ, it has surely become the home of the dogs - B-Team has never seen so many people out walking their dogs in the middle of the day. Anyway, between a break in the crowd, managed to retrieve the cache and log find. Took geocoin, left nothing. Good Luck!

25-Feb-07
Thanks this was my first caching experience - it was fantastic. Nothing left and nothing taken.

06-Feb-07
Quick find, certainly on a bike, thanks Peter, it's running great!. Drove downhill from the Mercure in no time had had a direct find. Beautiful place! Dropped of TB's "Travelin' Javelin" and "GoGo Home Sweet Home" which is the start of their TB Race back to Holland! A race between two brothers' teams, good luck to both TB's!
Also dropped off TB Skating Butterfly and Geocoin Team Myth, both wanted to travel, so now they do!!
Didn't see TB B.C. Dogwood nor Billy the Kid!!

28-Jan-07
Heading off the Bellarine after Oz day celebrations, we couldn't miss this "quick" find. Arriving close to the coordinates, some history buffs were absorbing the salient details of colonial iceworks, while we "chilled" out! Finally the coast was clear and the cache was retrieved. Lunch was calling so signed the log and TNLN. Good one Maccamob - nice hideaway.

27-Jan-07
Found this evening (8.05 pm) by Mr Emu and kids.
Funny to think how many times we must have walked past this cache in ignorance before our geocaching adventures!
A well stocked cache, although no travel bugs.
Took: Heart
Left: "Greg Norman" golf ball

Took Shower cap
Left Eraser and Bike dog Geocoin (thinking of you today)

05-Jan-07
The last Victorian cache that Dvixen and I did on our week long road trip. We drove in from the west on a STINKING hot afternoon (over 36C) and ended up on the wrong side of the river initially. After backtracking a bit and trying again, we managed to drive to within 90m of the cache. Walked across there and was amused by the sign explaining that the ice-making machine had been invented there. Who would have thunked it?

Found the cache without too much hassle, then made a quick retreat to the cool of the air-conditioned car.

TNLNSL TFTC! Big Grin

05-Jan-07
Found with Eynowd on our road trip.

The discovery place of the ice cube maker, sure could have used some this day. Not used to such heat with a hot wind to go with it.

I have found this cache as part of JADE004, but have now created my own separate account (therefore I am not shown in the log book under this username).

04-Jan-07
After driving back and forwards from one side to the other, we took the advice and parked in the co-ordinates suggested. A few muggles around but managed to find quite easily by Geokid. TNLN.

23-Dec-06
Went just after dusk, cool wind, so no muggles at all. Found easily and was looking forward to taking the bugs (B.C. Dogwood & Billy the Kid) on a journey, but they had both gone AWOL! TFTC, TNLN.

10-Dec-06
Found at 4pm. A hot Sunday meant there were lots of boats and muggles about, but they left us alone.

This area used to be the back blocks of a large industrial estate, mostly wool scouring. The whole lot would be flooded every couple of years. What a diffrent place it is now.

I couldn't find any TB's in the cache, though "B.C. Dogwood" and "Billy the Kid" are supposed to be here.

Left a Heart fridge magnet, took nothing and signed the log.

TFTC.

06-Dec-06
Parked where recommended, and enjoyed the stroll along the lovely river side park. Found the cache easily and took frog left car. Also took Travel Bug Boomerang to see what I could do for it. Thanks maccamob for this lovely spot.

02-Dec-06
We camped about 350m away from the cache but ended up driving across to the cache as our camp was on the other side of the river. Very nice area and enjoyed the stroll on both sides. A lot of rowers about on this Saturday morning.

There is almost a highway marking the track to this one!

Found about 8pm - nice peaceful place.

Not sure of travel bug etiquette, but took 2 travel bugs -'Frogger BW' and 'Whitey's 50' - so they've now headed about 530km northeast.

Otherwise, TNLN. Thanks for the cache, maccacomb

15-Nov-06
Well - I was staying at the Geelong Motor Inn and decided to walk to this one. In my work clothes it turned out to be quite a trip and went back to the room to rest. I was pleased to find the cache after the trip. Left "50" TB and took Penny TB. Thanks for showing me this part of Geelong.

Thanks again Maccamob

03-Aug-06
My first find. I went the hard way too, before figuring out the easier route! Enjoyed it.

23-Jul-06
It's funny but I found myself on TOP of the hill with a yawning drop below (hey...there's a path up there!). Repositioned myself at the bottom and followed the pretty obvious path (so much for not leaving tracks). There was a big kayak/canoe regatta on today, they were busy packing up when we arrived. No-one around the GZ...could have parked much closer! T: Peg, L: Koala.

18-Jul-06

Thanks for providing my FIRST find. I have been walking past it every night with my dog. Now I have a GPS, can see all this new fun happening. Hope you don't mind but I put in a new notebook as I noted on other posts that the old one was full. Didn't take anything but there is a lot of stuff still in there!

Indeed a nice stroll. Only a few muggles.
So it wasn't too hard to retrieve the cache and put it back.

We don't mind if you turn the book over and start again from the back. The book should then have plenty of life left until we get down that way to replace it.

04-Jun-06
the logbook is more than full.

14-Apr-06
Having driven in from Melbourne and not knowing the area, we parked about 500m away and walked along the path, crossed the road, continued the path walk, crossed the bridge (near the road closest to the cache) and found it.

Number 500!! Yahoo! (Can I say that anymore, or is it copywrited? Smile).
A nice straight forward cache on the banks of the river. Not too many walking muggles today, a short pause saw them all move away.
Took: Rainbow Trout TB, Left: 5 year Geo-coin.
Thanks, Robmc.

18-Mar-06
Started off on the wrong side of the water. Once on the right side GPS took us to within a couple of metres pretty quickly. One of the kids located it pretty soon after that. Log book was pretty full. Luckily not too many muggles on that side of the water today.

Took blue monster finger puppet
Left a turtle.

05-Feb-06
A great place for rowing coaches...they can follow their crews on bikes beside the rowing course. Thought it was time to release that NZ Trout back into the nearby stream. A minor milestone for JFBNZ and the Meter Checker...our 150th Cache Thanks Maccaamob for bringing us to this spot.

2nd find out of 8 for the day.
We had some luck finding "A Cunning Little Cache" today so I thought while our luck was running try some others we couldn't find. I am dumbfounded why I could not find this cache the first time, I practically walked straight up to it.

Our first cache on our Anglesea day trip. An easy find, and a great spot to leave Manhunt Down Under (and carrot #90), and pick up Peep.

12-Jan-06
Quick find on our way through to lunch at Belbrae. The cache location was sort of obvious in a macca sort of way. Not sure what was long, but gee it certainly wasn’t the 75m walk in.

The logbook is starting to fill backwards. We were on the flip side of our good friend Astro. Left our palindromic travel bug to continue its travels.
