Another fun cache up at Rumbalara! Some bush bashing required .If you have younger kids I'd recommend the stairs optionTftc
#7572We needed to do some shopping in Erina, so decided on a cache drive to and around the area, mainly to chip away at a few challenges we are working towards. We had a great day, grabbing a half a dozen quite varied caches, with no DNFs... This cache met a couple of challenges - it has a 3, and is a 2003 cache - so it did double duty today. We never worked out the cipher - must have been the weather. We did make a deduction at WP1 though, and used some coordinates that looked reasonable, so went searching on a wing and a prayer, and came up trumps, eventually. We seemed to be in the right spot according to photos, so sent out a couple of PAFs to confirm coords, but neither could confirm what we had. We were about to give up, when we went back up for another look - and spotted a melted bucket handle. Squinting into the dark we saw the new cache too.... lovely. All signed and rehidden as found.... TFTC!
#7572With planning for an upcoming backpacking trip through Barrington, we had to come check out some shops around Erina to get some more excess gear, but we can't come down and not find any caches! We decided to mainly target caches to qualify for some challenges we've signed, namely finding D/T 3s and caches hidden prior to 2007, mainly targetting '03 caches. Had a great afternoon nabbing a few around the area.We got confused with the puzzle, nothing was making sense even once we got to WP1, we took a stab in the dark with an educated guess and headed to a likely GZ, and comparing photos and looking around, it seemed to be the right spot, but where is the cache? After a lot more searching, and almost bailing on it, we checked one more spot and spotted remnants of what seemed to be a container I'd seen in the pics, but then a better-looking container was spotted around the corner, after a few prods and pokes with a stick, it came down and we soon had the CIH. TNLN SLThanks for placing and maintaining this cache P3sKy_Geomonkey
Now I actually did ask Charles but he doesn’t mutter a word. Quite unique to find these artwork statues up here. We found Edward Byne approx 1km along the ridge earlier and we wondered, why here?
Anyway, no muggles around at this late time helped us search away and CIH was soon achieved, thanks GeoMonkeys

Found on a lovely weekday morning. We were amused to realise we - two women and a baby - had arrived at the same time as a playgroup of other mums and kids who were holding their meet up at ground zero, and who assumed we were there to join them.
Despite that slight awkwardness, and not understanding how to decipher the first clue, the waypoint was soon located, and the final coords obtained.
Cache and log were in excellent condition. TFTC!

Found it! And Charles. Not that he was particularly helpful, but his friend had everything we needed anyway, and we soon headed in the right direction. We needed to have a good look through the logs for some hints once at GZ, but the coords were pretty accurate which was very helpful.
Thanks!
Thanks!
We went and had a chat to Charles, but we didn't need his information as previous non caching visits had revealed the second person to us, and it was just a matter of checking on the specifics.
Once we had calculated GZ we went foe a survey of the area and briefly entertained the direct route, before caution prevailed and we went for the stairs.
This turned out to be a wise decision as the area is covered in copious amounts of wet and loose leaf litter, resulting in quite a few slips and some very dirty hands, knees and bums.
We were initially looking too close to the stairs but after a quick readjustment we soon had the cache in hand. A nice obvious hiding spot once you get close, somewhat amazed that the rains haven't taken it away to be honest.
Thanks for the short adventure and the cache!

Found with friends while in the area. Fatoz was one of the group, and his name is in the logbook, but he probably won't log it online.
So many great old caches in Gosford. Kudos to the COs who have either maintained their caches very diligently, or have stumbled on the secret of how to hide a geocache such that it never goes missing.

What lovely pieces of art. I suggested to Geoian a solution and we both worked with that. Finally worked out the final GZ. After an hour lI found it!. What a search. After reading hints, finally worked it out. TFTC.
An Urban walk from the Lookout, and Shifters cache. Fancy these pices of art being up here. Not sure what the signicicance is, but anyway. A bit confusing which Statue was the first WP, But Madrabbitoh suggested a solution and she was spot on. We wrote out the key, as i was a little confused about how they all lined up, and then added the botom line. MMMM, we are 2 numbers out, and this is when we find out Mad calls a colon a double dot, which i took to be 2 full stops in a row. Terminology. OK, we sorted the first WP, and then something went awry, as the second WP did not take us to a Statue. But we already sort of knew which one is was. We got the answer from that one, then proceeded to Final GZ. 1 hour later Madrabbitoh syas, there it is, after reading a log, abot being able to see it from diferent directions. Boy, what a search. And IMHO the hint does not help, but hinders. Was a good candidate for a fav but too hit and miss. TFTC.
Working nearby and needed a break. Nice spot and odd place to find some bronzed heroes. A little confused by Chuck but Matty was a little more forthcoming. Everything is still very wet. No leeches log in good shape. Thanks for the hill side adventure.
Solved the puzzle some time back but did not have sufficient time to locate the cache. Came back today and spent a little time lining up what info I had, ended up being fairly easy to locate. Thanks for a great cache.
For anyone attempting, do be careful of the around GZ as there is significant amounts of loose leaf litter on steep terrain.

What a great geocache! Took us a while to find it but one walk all the way back up and a look over the top of the cliff again and we found the rock that was “on its own”

Went for a brisk walk on one of the circuits and returned to ask Charles. He must be otherwise engaged but he's left an answer for anyone who cares to look. His accomplice was even more forthcoming so a target was suggested. The 5m hint had me looking too low for a while but going about that much again was more fruitful. Some great views from many of the tracks around here; well worth exploring on a fine, cool day like today. Thanks GeoMonkeys.

Out on a raid in the Central Coast to make the most of the cooler weather. Managed to pick up 4 solved puzzles, a virtual and 2 multi's including and oldie from 2003 with 12+ months of unloved.
Have had my eye on this one for quite a while and finally made it here. Info was quickly gathered even though Charles has departed the scene. Was tempted to take the direct route but ended up going via the stairs. Didn't even look at my phone for directions as I had already picked out a couple of spots to search. Happy to report that I found it pretty quickly and rescued the poor TB that's been languishing here for too long.
Couldn't resist exploring a few more of the interesting rock features before scrambling my way back up, this time taking the direct route. Tried to check out the view from the lookout but with all the haze and smoke, it wasn't the best day for it. Thanks for bringing me to this cool spot.

Hm... coordinates are not exact but with found with help from other logs was struggling to get it out - you can never be too careful (says the tourist!)
Swapped trackables - hope someone can find a lock for mine!

found together with toothless73. Seems that no statue of Charles but the plaque is still there so it all works out. The format of the coordinates translated seems a bit weird.
I was a little worried about finding this cache knowing Charles was missing but after arriving at GZ his friend was soon found and it was of to GZ and the cache was found quickly in the logical spot. No muggles around today to cold and windy for them. Thanks for the cache GeoMonkeys tnln replaced as found sl
While in the area looking for the trig, we realised there was a multi nearby. We thought we would have a look but boy what a confusing multi! After a bit of reading and trying to work out what we had to do, we finally took the hint advice and came up with a set of coords. Charles, obviously has gone and the description needs to be changed to reflect this. We found some super steps that went down to we don't know where, certainly a lot of work done in this area. From the steps and with the aid of the hint photo Mr W made the find. TFTM
Fangsoki and Pprime (P') and I were on a road trip for Easter to the Mega Event and had a list of caches that we wanted to get while we were away.
We arrived at the parking area and Pprime headed off to check out a statue. But it wasn't Charles. He explained about Charles and what had to be done and had a set of coordinates and headed off ahead. We tried to keep up but he was on a mission and he had the cache out before we could catch up.

Crew153, Fangsoki and I were in the area, traveling in Suzee, staying at OZGeoMuster Mega 2018. Collecting oldie caches. Like this one. We drove Suzee up top, and set out to say hello to Charles. Unlike the others I had read, and understood, what was required here. Charles has taken a walk. He may have done so recently, not sure. But his mate is still there, and still holding something important. Which still has necessary information on it which still leads to a nice GZ.
No worries cobbers. Cache found after a short scramble around. No muggles at all today, although I'll bet it isn't always like that.
Thanks for placing this cache, GeoMonkeys. Found in good condition.

Pprime, Crew 153, and I rumbled in for this one next.
Instantly, I was confused about what was going on (not unheard of). Pprime attempted to explain it but it flew over my head. What second statue? Eh... moving along
We headed down toward where the GPSr's were taking us. Pprime eventually came up with the goods. A great little place to visit. TFTC GeoMonkeys

These days I venture out to cache rather rarely but today there was a good excuse for it: filling my caching calendar. I have now found caches on every of the 366 days in the calendar. To catch up with Bryzee and Little Roo we teamed up for a walk around here, especially when this cache also gave me another tick on the quest to get the D/T grid and Jasmer challenge (hidden months) nudged forward.
Little Roo spotted the WP 1 and off we went. At the final, my phone sent us on the wrong side first, then we came to our senses and made our way across to the right side. We scoured every nook and cranny without luck for some 20 minutes. I had already looked into the hide but from a different angle. Suddenly there was this familiar 'Oi' after Little Roo had approached the hide the right way.
Log signed, TNLN, and then a stretch to return the container back. That 20 minutes sure made us sweat but we got a good workout there - a great side effect of these bush caches.
All good here. TFTC, GeoMonkeys!

This was the 1st cache of the day on this adventure with Little Roo and Tdimdad. we made our way up to solve the way points and take in some of the nice views. The search for the cache was an effort as we searched and searched. Lucky for us there were no muggels about, I don't think anyone would have been able to walk by and not ask what on Earth were we doing. This was a great start to our day as the cache was located all in good condition. Big Gratz to Tdimdad for filling in the calendar grid as well! TFTC GeoMonkeys good fun
Late submission. Must have forgotten to submit my log on the day... Do remember looking in the wrong spot further down the stairs for a while...
Working down in Gosford and surrounds today and when a client pushed back an appointment I suddenly had an hour free to get up to mischief .
I decided a rumble through Rumbalara was the closest and most cache dense option and managed to grab roughly half a dozen.
This was the first of them. I had been up this way before doing other caches but not located the final of this due to time constraints. Today I had enough time to finish it off and made a quick find. Cache and log are in marvellous condition. TNLN TFTC

Hmm ok it is here now! I noticed Roo and Colin were out here a few days ago and logged a find so I figured it is definitely there, be it either still a tough hide or GM has been out to conduct some maint. Seems the latter because GZ where we made the find today is deffo a spot I checked last time (in fact it's the spot I refer to in my DNF log below) and it wasn't here then. So it was nice to bring the geokids out after school breakup and knock Charles finally on the head!
Just regarding the position of GZ.. I found the GPS was pointing pretty much right on the stairs, maybe a little north of them so I would suggest that the coords might be about 7 or 8 meters out to the SE. If you take that into account, and the hint ..I think you'll make it! Thanks for another one of your caches GM we love coming across your hides and are currently trying to figure out DaPesky #4 as we couldn't get anywhere with it in the carpark this arvie! Cheerio.

Out and about finding a few geocaches with Mr_Roo today.
There are a few caches in the park that are our target caches for the day.
AND this one was along the way.
A quick detour and we soon had to do a little back track to find the cache.
Quite a bit of searching before finding the cache tucked away. It seems there is a new log book in the cache. First to sign the new log book.
Thanks for the cache.

Up here doing a nearby multi and this one wasnt too far away. Brother colin did the hard work getting the coordinates while I ate my lunch, ok yeah I got hungry.
After gathering the coordinates we made our way to gz where it took a while but got there in finding the cache TFTC

Seems that this one may need a check up.
I will find time soon to check on this one, however new work commitments mean i am not always able to visit immediately.. yet they also mean i am working nearby,so a visit will be organised in the not to distant future. as others have said ,the fire may have destroyed the cache, or caused it to fall further out of reach.

A great hide! We've searched at GZ on two occasions now with no luck. Reckon we may have found the rocky hide because what we have is a classic GM spot plus it fits other loggers' hints ..but we couldn't make a find. Since the last finder there has been a fire through here, I wonder if the GC has perished? We will be back but with plenty of daylight! Gotta get this one.
A belated lognote for a find made several months ago - We first found and then asked Charles who kindly supplied us with the information we needed to get to the cache location where we spent far too long thrashing through the bush in search of the elusive container. At least Mr Ozjeeper got plenty of exercise searching for this one (starting with his long walk from the station).
Beautiful sunny day, great go out for some caches..

"Go ask Charles", he says ... yeah, sure ... except he's flown the coop. Luckily, I didn't need to seek counsel from either Charles or his mate (who I see is still hanging around waiting for a high enough king tide to be able to reboard his boat) since I had asked a computer mate, who knows all, to provide me with what I needed a while back ... it has just taken me a while to get up here to make the find.
Luckily, I had taken time to read the cache description so I knew to walk past where my GPS wanted to send me in search of the stairs down. As I headed down the stairs, the distance to the cache showing on my GPS kept coming down and when it started rising, I figured it was time to put it away and look for the promised "rock on its own, up from the stairs, down from the cliff". Yeah right ... obviously a lot has changed here over the past 12 years!! With no obvious stone in sight, I instead focused on stones and after checking a couple of close by spots, I saw a group that warranted a closer inspection.
I was without my climbing tool today, and so had to get out of my comfort zone to check the spot out. But no problems, and when I reach the rock pile, I spied what I had come to find ... except it was on the other side, so I had to clamber a bit more ... but the cache was soon in hand and I was able to put my name in the visitor's book (something that I noted a recent finder did not do!) before putting it back in its hidey hole ... then a couple of obligatory photos and I was able to make my way back down to terra firma.
Thanks for a really enjoyable cache GeoMonkeys ... it did take me a little outside my comfort zone but that's something we should all experience from time to time.

After bush-bashing for a good 20mins at GZ I finally found it! It had slipped way out of my reach so I spent another 5mins scissoring it out using 2 sticks. Have secured it in a reachable position at location for future GC's.
On reading the other records I realised I needed to some wondering rather the n a straight out search. After about 10 mins I had the correct information and wondered off to make the find. Tftc tnln.
1910 GAFF1 (this time) Over two years ago I came in the dark with just the coordinates for Charles, who is no longer there any more - DOH! This time I had cache loaded on a different GPSr, and a piece of paper to help sort out what I needed. I most certainly would not have been looking in 2012 where I was taken this time.
After a couple of false starts I saw, then retrieved the cache. All good, dry and intact
Left: a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen, as the GPSr settled on 3 metres from where I would have been looking.
Brought through for mileage: 12-12-12 Event, 3 Bros NSW, Auckland NZ'13, B 2 B Travel ingot, BULLET, CII-35Z, CITO - Upper Swan and Beyond geocoin, family travel, GCookie EARTH Cache 10 year Celebration Coin, GCookie FIZZY Coin, Geo-Kayaker GOLD TB, Hello Cocky TB, Iconic Bridges 2012, Katniss the Kitty, Kengu, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, NZ Mega 13 signature, Oregon, Oz Mega 2014 GCookie, Relay For Life Tag, thank you - moliva, TransAustralia, Trumpey Smurf, Tyler's TB Golf Ball, and trackable shirts.

I had originally tried to walk up here before a Mariners game with my family, however had confused which statue to go to and hence realised that WP1 was much further away than we thought. So we didn't have time to get up there, although from memory the Mariners beat Newcastle 1-0 which was quite OK.
So I took the easy way and drove up. As others have mentioned the original statue is gone! It was here a few years ago. Because I liked the look of the puzzle I sat down near WP2 and worked it through. The puzzle works out very nicely.
It took me a while to find the cache though. The hint is good if you are looking for rockS. The cache is certainly not the large single boulder on the 'down' side of the steps, I went around that and got stung by one of those huge ants. Didn't see a nest though, but it hurt so be wary. Eventually found the cache, couldn't get to it with a stick so got my head 'right in there' to fetch it. But all is good, TNLNSL.
After replacing the log I went for a walk to the *other* Charles statue. Yes, as Yoda said, "There is another". It is still there, is near great views, and is over 161m away...
Thanks for another great cache GeoMonkeys!

Having cleaned out the Gosford caches during my visits to my parents house over the years, this was the last one to overcome. Every time I look at the cache page it made my eyes cross. I was sitting in my car today waiting for the rest of the Browngang who were preoccupied, and had another look at it. Bingo! What have I been waiting for? There was something that was cluttering my view of the cache page and I suddenly had only 2 options to search. On my approach to the first GZ, it was clear I was on the right track, literally. I saw WPT2 and that only confirmed my suspicions. Beauty. Down to GZ and it took a little while to find, needing me to look from the correct angle. Phew, good to get this one off the radar. Fav point awarded.
Thanks GeoMonkeys and Cheers from Browngang.

No one Muggles there.... Hello Charles..... We work out for while and work to math .. beautiful right Coords zoom to find cache.. OMG Look Long stairs to down the hill and beautiful View.... Looked Looked Looked for 25 mins.. finally found cache...YAY.... Beautiful heaps ROCKS and View... Hide well.. Thank GeoMonkeys
One of my favourites! Very well calculated. The coords were spot on. I covered the two first fases last Saturday, then it’s was getting too dark to reach the GZ. Came back today. This time wanted to walk from the opposite side of the Reserve. Good call, I saw a Wallaby, wow... he/she is fast!!
Then, reaching close to GZ, the signal was very unstable jumping everywhere (like the Wallaby I just saw...)! But I could feel I was close…, very close…Then, I gave myself a couple of minutes looking around and voilà! Signed it and put it back exactly where it was. TFTC GeoMonkeys (very much!). I hope to get more like this one

Ever since I got into Geocaching I have thought about doing this cache. The Difficulty and Terrain unfortunately kept me at bay until today.
I headed into Rumbalara for an hours exercise disguised as a cache hunt, not knowing I would be stuffed 5 minutes in.
I kept on, and actually found WP 2 first. Not wanting to cheat the experience, I found WP1 and solved the inevitable cipher before finding out what was so special about this "Matt" guy.
Once Co-Ords found, it was a fairly long search for the cache. I agree with Wests Tigers Fan it's amazing how much a plural eliminates a lot of otherwise fairly obvious hiding spots.
Favourite from me. Loved it. Thank you GeoMonkeys

Charles has gone fishing cant be found after alittle bit of scambling had cache in hand just off the stairs and up or down the hill
At last we found this one. Not for the unfit great hide. Had to seat and look around for the obvious hiding place. Ha ha I am going to climb up there. Cache in hand and signed with sister in law from Victoria. Once again good work geo monkey
Charles has done a runner, but his plaque is still there so the puzzle can still be solved. Between storms, I eventually located the cache after a hint from a PAF. Took the Tweety Pie TB. TFTC.
Great code breaking. But a bit more than 5 metres off the stairs! Made some new Geofriends, thanks to mamakel for doing the search on the steep slope. Took coin, left TB. TFTC.
Arrived on site to find another group crowded around Charles....as we approached, we indicated we assumed we were there for the same purpose as them. We introduced ourselves, and joined their group (Cumquarkens) as they were already part way through the de-cryption. Our group soon headed over to WP2 and grabbed the final details required, then headed toward GZ. The kids spotted the stairs and led the way, and the mums indicated when to stop. It took us a little while to 'match' clue to visuals, but we got there in the end - I grabbed the cache and took it back to the stairs for the kids to enjoy the contents. Each group swapped out a traveller - for us, we put in Tweetie Pie and took the Jeep TB to move along.
After the cache was signed and returned, we decided to head towards another nearby, and despite not finding our way to GZ enjoyed a lovely walk through the area. TFTC GeoMonkeys, and lovely to meet some fellow cachers on the way - thanks for the company Cumquarkens

On 26 Dec the TB Aussie Roo was placed in this cache., could another cacher please move this along especially to another state making its way back west . please appreciated if possible cheers monf
Took a little longer than expected. Met a couple who had just found it. They told me the hint was good. I took the hint literally and it didn't help lol funny how a plural can make a big difference lol anyway great hide! TFTC cheers
Took some searching but eventually found it! Thanks for the photo. My GPS was way off!
Dropped Apollo off. Happy flying!

We found this as our first find since August. Tomorrow is our anniversary and we thought we would Geocache to celebrate. TFTC!
On arriving at the listed coords we spotted Charles and made our way over to question him. On asking him where the cache is we got a response that didn't make a lot of sense. After putting 1 and 1 together we were able to question another likely character and with a little bit of intuition we had some coords in hand that matched the description.
A short stroll and the cache was ours.
Thanks GeoMonkeys for the cache.

After a big night out, I think the walk up this big hill finally got me sober. Fortunately the thinking and finding was done by Spindoctors, Damo and Sensible Shoes. Charles and Matthew were duly met. Great spot. Thanks GeoMonkeys.
The first of ten caches of the day in the company of lasramblas, The Spindoctors, and Damo. The walk up to Charles and the cache certainly got the heart pumping. TNLNSL TFTC.
Parked near a trail below the cache, which with hindsight was a stupid thing (never trust the in Car GPSr). We eventually made it up the hill, did the number crunching and eventually calculated GZ. The cache was found by Damo, with a yell of "The iPhone wins". Great location.

Worked out the clues but not find the spot. One son tumbled down the hill! Tricky and will try again.
Back when I was doing my first caches this one was at the top of my to do list, but somehow it's taken some 15months to find and finish it. I came here a few months ago to gather the info, but made a silly mistake as usual and searched a very nearby place unsuccessfully of course. My error was obvious 2 minutes after I got home.
I think this location is dear to me because it's unique on the coast, historic, and one of my first solo outings on my full car licence. I'm going to award a late, but very much deserved FAV point simply because it deserves it. Great work all round GeoMonkeys.

After asking Charles for some assistance, he wasn't being very chatty today we took a look at the cypher chart & thought this is a bit much for today and after noting all of the details headed for the car.
We saw a POI (person of interest) and went to check bona fides.
It was Matt... The cold trail was now hot again.
The rest was easy and after a little mental adjustment on the coords to allow for what others have said, we spotted something that just might have been, and it was...!
Thanks GeoMonkeys loved the hunt. TNLN SL TFTC

This one sent us off the beaten track. It was well hidden but you really had to look. Had fun walking through the bush in the pouring rain.
Great location. Did this one in the pouring rain. Our coordinates were out with this one but found it anyway. Thanks to the help of an image that was lodged with this cache.
Great spot, had a nice time retrieving all the info. Then the fun started, we headed towards the GZ but as the tree cover in creased so did the numbers on the GPS accuracy followed by pointer swinging. We started reading logs for a tip an then just started searching everywhere, this eventually lead to a find and a nice end to the cache. Thanks GeoMonkey.
YYEESSS!!! found it this time! after last times dismal failure, i knew where not to look. read bella at waggy log to find that coords wherequite off. I estimate they are about 12-15m off they should be NE further. The outcrop wasn't quite the main out crop. In the end I had a chat to alturners on one bar of vodaphone reception as to where the cache was. Even then it was still a little tricky. But the geodad and i were both very happy to see 'a plastic container full of crap' (his way of describing the ideal geocache). TFTC!!! Geomonkeys!!!
2200 Had a lovely walk in, but what is it about, 'Closed for Fire Danger'?
Only had caches loaded on the GPSr for higher rated D/T, and had come down from Taree to grab Not the Prime Ministers Hill, to fill a gap in 'the Grid'. Saw this one CLOSE by, but what a drive and nice walk in the dark. saw a very friendly possum.
So, not having anything than name and coordinates had a good look around 'GZ', nothing there. Was in the process of extending the search out when found Matt. What a fright!!!
Thought of a different Charles, as i had been, and had checked out the Dar'bin, in case it had a clue for a straight multi. So, found Charles, and started to check where he was looking, but obviously previous finders didn't have to go that direction, so went back to Matt, and nothing was obvious there. (remember, I didn't have the cache sheet, and had even left the mobile at home, so couldn't 'phone a friend')
Picked up x8 bottles for the local rubbish bin tho.
TFTC GeoMonkeys.
BTW somebody else had found Shock the Monkey cache and put a piece of paper in it, so i replaced it with a micro log sheet, and added a pencil. Cheers

A nearly morning start for us to get a few under our belt this morning. We had the place to ourself and afther a chat with Charles who we were concerned had his head up in the clouds did give us enough information to talk to his mate Matt. A chat with Matt looked more in the right direction as we thought he maybe all at sea. Short distance on and down and we where into the search zone. The GPSr was over the place and had us on different sides of the path. We had a very big search in an extended area. After a while with no result the kids said can we give up and find another. Just then as the kids had said the majic words we found the cache. We had the co-ords out a little to the east but given the way the GPSr was jumping around its hard to say the co-ords are off. We signed the log and replaced. Certianly a nice reserve of bush up here. TFTC

Great puzzle nice and quick to do on the run Thanks GeoMonkeys for the hide

GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR........... not happy with this. came here back in the good old days when i still thought about things other than caching (muggle days) remember seeing alturners find the cache with ease... well this didn't work for me. looked for twenty minutes before going to the waypoint, but no avail. then went to talk to charles but he didn't help too much. the coords lead me to about a km away off on the wrong side of the track. went back to charles now only having 20 until i needed to meet someone down in gosford. but again charles didn't reveal anything. so i used the coordinate that was closest to where i remember the cache being. it took me to many spots that matched the clue but i never got closer than 3metres away from the coords. then as i continued to look like a waterlogged rat, and the info sheet stuck to a pretty cool new container that i found, my search made me over half an hour late for my meeting in gosford. gave up on my searches after an hour and a half.
Didn't get to have a good look due the presence of muggles will have to try again.
Great location but didn't enjoy the mozzies and leaches around the area

Had been wanting to do this cache for ages since I had been here with the Allturners when I was a muggle. Cache wasn't where I'd remembered but still didn't take too long. TFTC
First time out here I relied on the hint too much after solving the puzzle. But yay!.. On the second visit the cache was located within a minute of arriving at coords. It was a very hot day and there was no one around for miles. Even noticed a bit of a worn path leading from the stairs! Glad to tick this one off. TFTC
Located with Skypirate- 6:11 PM . TFTC Took sunglasses strap and left new Sydney Harbour pin. This was second attempt to find this time from above I followed the gps arrow.
