13-Jul-24
Had a great time exploring around Joffre Gorge and went for a second swim today after a freezing and ill prepared wade on our first day. Wet suit pants have been a fave for me here! Photo from the point of the gorge above the waterfall.Container lid is quite cracked and I didn't have anything on me. Couldn't sign the log as it was quite wet. Hoping to get back here to freshen up the zip lock bag but may not get a chance. Left some stickers TFTF

Found this cache today while at the lookout. Took a little bit but was easy once we looked at the photo. Container has cracked and water has gotten in and damaged the log. TFTC Smile)

18-Jun-24
In Karijini for a few days and walked out to the Joffre Lookout . Found it quickly once I lined up the photo to the surroundings, otherwise Id still be looking. Great Cache Favourite point also. Found by a Vision ary.

14-Jun-24
Found 11:55Three months of travelling in Western Australia with Muggle friends from the East coast; stopover in Singapore on the outward and return flights. Caches and labs where they are on the way and can be done without too much effort. You may forgive me for using the same standard phrase everywhere, but there's not much more to it than that. Many thanks to all the owners for making our hobby possible. If there is anything wrong with the cache, more detailed information follows.

All fixed thanks to a fellow geocacher who was passing through.

07-Jun-24
Found with e.gregory1 on a trip from Adelaide to north-western Western Australia for four or so weeks. After camping out along the road between Tom Price and Karijini, we traveled out to spend the next two nights at Karijini National Park. We spent the day visiting the sights around this amazing landscape, hiking the gorges, sightseeing the scenic lookouts and finding a few caches along the way. Thanks for the cache Team : Pathfinder!

Out and about enjoying the stunning locations. It was great to pick up some of the older caches, too. Amazed to find that previous finder was from our home town back over east. Quick find. Tftc

06-May-24
The cache is dry at the moment but has a large crack across the lid which will let in water when the wet arrives. Covering with stones will hopefully help, which we have done.

05-May-24
Spending a few days in beautiful Karijini. This was an easy find while the area wasnt busy. The cache lid is cracked however and is likely to let in water when the rains come. Thanks for the cache Team Pathfinder.

Hip hip hooray for UNESCO - and National Parks WA are doing a great job in many ways. Lucky us are staying out for 6 days so plenty of time to explore (fuel factor a limit) - but of course love the magic of Karijini. We are 3500 + kms from home base so it’s totally stunning to be here in this ancient landscape. TFTC - a definite FAVE for longevity! This must have seemed REMOTE in 2003!

Picked up today after doing the walk below. Great to be able to pick up a traditional cache too.
Beautiful area.
We noticed the locked gate on the observation deck.
At the visitors centre there was a picture highlighting its use for rescues. Hopefully not needed anytime soon.

dad and boy last ditch effort to find a chache whilst karijini

12-Jul-20
Our one and only Karijini Cache - we were just having too much fun (or were too tired from said fun), Still the boy and I made the walk around the Gorge from the Eco retreat to the look out (fantastic View) was not too hard, compared to some of the other scrambles we had done around the park but well worth it, i wish we had time to get all the way down to the bottom of the gorge as I'm sure that would have been even better - Guess that is what next time is for Smile

The Cache its self was in good repair and well hidden so we dropped the Quokka TB here that we had been holding onto for somewhere special - thinking about it now he might be there a while

09-Jul-20
Hunted up and down the steps with no luck. Kids were a little disappointed as this was going to be our first Karijini found oh well, hubby in the car with the engineer on - no time to keep hunting!

From 23.09 until 24.11.2019 Stadibast and I spent our holidays in Australia.
During the first four weeks we drove with a camper van from Darwin to Perth along the West coast and its amazing national parks, in which we made several hiking tours.
After that we flew to the wonderful green Tasmania for a roundtrip lasting two weeks.
For the last three weeks we went back to the continent and followed the South-East-Coast from Melbourne to Sydney.
We had impressive nine weeks in Australia, in which we hiked through various national parks, visited interesting sights and met many friendly and helpful people.
Thanks to all owners for setting and maintaining their caches.
