Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. After 3 months on the geotrail, we're heading west towards home, gathering a few more smilies as we go. Thanks for your cache Mac & Missus, we love caching in the more remote locations and this cache fits the bill.TNCU
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. After being in this beautiful State for nigh on three months it is time for us to head back home. Spending a couple of days in PA to do some caravan maintenance before hitting the Nullabour. Love the Flinders - our kind of caching. Thanks for the hide
Found it! Stopped by on a drive out while staying in Quorn for the June long weekend. All good here! TFTC!
Went to find this cache after staying at Warren Gorge, seems a random placement but was located quickly and contents were dry.
The only thing I disturbed was the sheep on the road on the way in

Small diversion on the way to Warren Gorge. Took the picture of Robert Fowler from the cache - seemed appropriate as "The Ds" are playing their first AFL Grand Final on Saturday. It's been a while. Go Ds (and this is coming from a Blues supporter!!!).
A quick find on a small detour on our way back to Quorn after a walk through Warrens Gorge. Glad there were no locals in the scrub/bush nearby. TFTC
Found while staying in the Quorn area. for a few days sight seeing and geocaching with Jac Jam. After staying the night a the gorge camps This was a quick find. TFTC
Always nice to find a quiet country track. Happy the property owner didn’t drive past - wondered what story we could invent. Quick find. Tftc

My first day of the Quorn Quondam Quest (QQQ) weekend event, and my first June Long Weekend event! I had heard about the popularity of these, but hadn't had a chance to attend one of these until now. Today was a day with @Laighside Legends hiding our proposed quest caches, and then driving Argadells to collect the geocaches around that area, including a visit to Warren Gorge. QQQ events were attended in between, including the lunch flash mob, and feast bonanza in the evening.
We drove the dead end road to reach this destination, and didn't take long to find Ian's first geocache placement. The container was a little damaged, but I believe it has had some maintenance performed during our JLWE down here. Thanks Ian Mac aka. Mac & Missus.

Found while driving around with daughter and son-in-law but Mrs had to sit in back seat so she would not panic 4WD. But an experience. With wonderful views but on our way back to Quorn we found a couple on way back TFTC
Out exploring this amazing country of ours with hevwalker and LiB. Got our photo with an emu for the JLW event photo challenge. TFTC

Stop 11 and the last stop on route back to the campsite. A quick drive by on this 16 year old cache!

Fairy penguins tricked me into looking in the wrong place, but then I went back to my first thought and there it was! Did a quick CITO whilst we were there.
Found at 4:27 PM GAFF1 in the company of Team Astro & four-fun who were passengers in our vehicle, TheKellyGang, baby&Mrs gopher, *Cache_or_Check* and Nichilkel..
Wow - we haven't done a 1.0/1.0 cache in a long time and they are usually caches that we don't do, but as it was a first cache for the CO and it is a cache that was placed before we started caching - how could we refuse
Thanks Mac & Missus

Found this one after a nice walk in Warren Gorge. Easy find in a pleasant location. TFTC Mac & Missus!
The three of us have been staying near Quorn for a few days. Today we explored Warren Gorge - none of us have been here before.
As requested we replaced the container with a new clip lock container that's either a "large small" or a "small regular". (It's all we had with us today)
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Ian Mac.

Could the next visitor please replace container and a new log book (if current one cannot be restored) - thanks, Ian Mac
Day thirteen of my holidays, and a day of caching rather than travelling. Today I headed into the Flinders Ranges a little bit - I've been here before and loved the area. After finding my chosen ones, I picked a few in a different direction before heading back to Port Augusta. Quick find. The rim of the lid has cracked, so I replaced it upside down, even though the contents are in good order.
My thanks to Ian Mac for the cache.
My thanks to Ian Mac for the cache.
Time to replace the container as it is very brittle and won't last much longer. TFTC
Nice easy find. This cache was on my radar for a long time. Today was the day to hunt for it. Cache container in good nick still considering the age of it.
Fairly easy to find. Container cracked so placed upside down to prevent water damage.
Spending a few days in Quorn and did the drive to Warren Gorge and then up to Simmonston and back.
Picked up most of the caches along the road.
This was one of them that was found and signed.
This one in poor condition however the note book was double bagged so it should keep the moisture out.

We will have to see if we can get this cache next time we come over.

Didn't have a spare box but noted the log was dry and in a couple of (deteriorating) bags.

Unfortunately we did not read the logs and notes until later but the log book seems to have dried out anyway. The lid is split at one corner. TFTC.
I have requested the next visitor to replace the container, and dry out the log book. If not, will be in the area in February 13.
Could the next visitor please replace the container, and if necessary, dry out the notebook - many thanks - Ian Mac
Container lid is broken - So not water proof. Sorry didn't have a replacement with us!
This was our RunCount0th cache in our caching run today - and we found it at around 13:46.
(So this is our 44310th total find.)
A really nice, quick find.
Although the cache hasn't been found for a while, it is still in good condition.
Took: Nothing
Left: Krusty Clown Figure
Thanks Mac & Missus for the hunt today.

I love finding old caches that have stood the test of time. Lets hope it lasts at least another 8 years (or longer [^] ). TNLN. Cheers Ian (if you’re still out there?)
This cache provided us with one of our most memorable geocaching moments! Geokid12 taking a dive while trying to avoid two giant spiders in huge webs and nearly landing on a cactus! Pure gold! Picked up California Geocoin
Easy find after waiting ages for a 4WD load of shooters to go away. Cache in good condition.
Logged from my phone using the Geocache Navigator by Trimble. Duh had to walk back to car and return again. Amazing what a different angle can make to finding a cache. How did I miss this the first time? YNLN SL TFTC

At 14.50h, I noticed that the cache contents and the old logbook were very damp. The new logbook was OK. Took – Nothing. Left – California Geocoin. Find #05 of 54 on my Southern Flinders Ranges sightseeing and Geocaching holiday. TFTC – Unka Dave
Found while on a road trip through the hills. Lovely hidden spot and quick find.
Cheers!

This was placed by the leader of our 2 week trip through the Flinders Ranges, so it was a must find for me and my travelling pal "Are We There Yet!". Very pleased to get this one at 9am on the way from our campsite at Arden Park Homestead to Willow Springs Homestead. Thanks for the cache as well as a great trip, Mac & Missus. TNLNSL
Found it in association with my friend and fellow fisherman "How Do They Know" on a flat ground close to the road. Tnlnsl. Tftc
Nice easy find by geo kids. Road was freshly graded where ever this road leads to????????. TFTH No swaps.
Took the long way around to get to this one. When we eventually arrived at GZ, we swore never to believe the Quest again when it goes of route with a straight line.

Was just sitting there out in the open, almost, only one stick on top of it.Tried to hid it as best we could ,but still open to nature. Thanks for the cache.
The road in was a bit muddy after the recent rain, but we got through OK.
The cache had a lot of water in it, but the log book was in a ziplock bag & nice & dry.
We dried the cache container & contents, but the old log book is saturated & starting to go mouldy.
Nice spot, thanks for the cache.

I missed the turn-off on my way North, so grabbed this one on the way back to my motel room at Quorn.
Easy find with a lack of cammo, but I doubt it would be seen from the road.
Thanks Ian Mac.

Found quite quickly by geomum. Contents saturated, dried out as best we could put in another ziplock bag for old wet log book. Hopefully that will help to keep other contents dry. Have placed back in same location but have covered with rock and bark hope this helps. T=Cadbury tape measure, L= Whistle & dinosaur. TFTC
Next cache on a scenic drive north towards Wilpena Pound. With the weather cold and miserable, the family were once again happy to mind the car while I went out caching. A quick easy find.
I dropped in a new log book and zip lock bag, hopefully this keeps out the weather!
Thanks for the cache,
best wishes,
Wal
