Sadly this has been muggled big time. Log book strewn amongst the rock. Will contact owner.
Found pieces of log book scattered around the rocks, but no container. Such a shame as this is a beautiful spot. TFTC
Stopped off on the way back home for a lovely walk in the gorge, but had to stop short of the cache as there were prisoners from the nearby jail out doing some upkeep work... Oh well, will try again another day!
We looked for half an hour and then we had a pick nick and we looked for ten minutes tftc
Wow. What a spectacular spot. Another place we would have never discovered or known about had it not been for caching. Came past here today looking for some of the oldest caches. A beautiful walk. The creek was flowing & some spectacular views along the way. Took a little to settle on GZ. Was fairly visible, which was evident from been signed by the 5/6 class of OFPS. TFTC. A fav from us.
Very impressive man made gorge & well maintained walking track so we could explore the area. Quick find by Mrs Clazza. What a great location that we otherwise wouldn't have discovered - worthy of a fav point! This is why we love caching. SL and replaced as found. Tftc
This is one for mountain goats. Terrain a bit more than 2.0. Loved coming out here. The Gps a bit tempremental.
Love this area. An area never discovered or known and only discovered because of geocaching.. tftc. A favourite point for us
The geokids wanted to find a geocache so we set out with the dog in the rain and found this one near one of favourite Yack short walks. TFTC
Found this the hard way. Approached from the wrong side thinking that we would be on the correct side of the ragging creek... Did not know there was a foot bridge. Tftc
Beautiful spot here. Took the family for a walk along the creek on an overcast day. Thought I'd check if there were any caches nearby before leaving and picked this one up just before the rain arrived.TNLN. TFTC.

Due to the weather and long weekend I awoke this morning to decide that I would visit Beachworth and the surrounds for some particular nutty caches which I had long since solved and where on my list of must finds. Well I was very lucky to survive the nutty cache expedition without getting the car stuck, the last 100m really didn't leave much clearance for the camry and lucky I was heading down hill and with speed to assist in pushing the car over the last 2 humps which may me cringe, in fact I think I got air bore on the last one.... So having survived and deciding it was probably best to now stick to the better roads. I headed towards Yackandandah for any cache starting with "Y" for the North West Challenge.
Once at the parking spot I inspected the car to only find that the front passenger wheel mud guard was loose / half broken and requiring a bash into position as it was rubbing on the wheel. As my anxiety was now gone and the adrenaline now wearing off, I took the 100m stroll to this cache where it was fascinating to see the works that had been done back around 1855. A lovely spot and very nice on this lovely winter sunny day. Thanks for bringing me here today.

What an awesome piece of history and a great spot for a cache. Thanks for bringing me here.
Came to visit the cache we hid almost 13 years ago. Big thanks to Rascal for maintaining it for the last 8 years, and the new location.
Took Kevin the Minion, left a teddy bear figurine.

After my previous DNF in 2009 I thought it was time to try my luck again in any case I needed to cool off and rid the day's dust and grime after driving through the nearby hills and decided the water race would be the perfect spot to cool off and clean up and it, not too cold, not too hot just right. Scouter 101 and I enjoyed the water and as a bonus I found the cache to convert my DNf to found.
Thanks for bring is (back) here

Out and about in the lovely Yackandandah area doing a local 4x4 wherigo and taking the opportunity to pick up some trads at the same time.
Thanks for showing us this intriguing location.
Thanks for showing us this intriguing location.
TFTC. This is in an area we would not have visited, so a big thanks A second find for new cachers Stacie&mitch. The scenery and history were great.
TFTC - this was in a beautiful spot that we would probably not have seen without the search for a cache. A lovely walk and photo opportunity.
Nice walk after Gala day at kids soccer , found after a little struggle with GPS going nuts , No TB inside
We finally managed to get over the hills from Beechworth after getting misdirected by trusting the 2008 NatMaps too much. Tracks that are now gated and new tracks that were not shown on the maps certainly provided us with a bit of a navigational challenge. After a couple of tight turn-arounds and a bit of low-range driving we managed to fumble our way out to Yack though Twist Creek. This cache was one of many in Yack that appeared on the radar but this one grabbed our attention so we headed straight for it and managed to easily locate the cache.
They dug this gorge by hand? Good grief! I have trouble digging a hole in my garden let alone bashing through granite rock.

Well you can't go to Yackandandah and not do a cache called Yackety Yack can you?
I was heading back home with GeoGranni from visiting a friend and we decided to stop here and have a look. A great location we had visited a few times many years ago. I love the sound of the water running.

Have been to this area before and am due back for a school cross country run again soon but thought I would take my family out for a lesson in geocaching 101. We went for a little look, read the clue and then had another look at pictures (which were really not much of a help) and then realised I was standing on the cache. So had cache in hand, TB is moving on with me and might have some converts in the family.
Enjoying a Sunday drive around this historic area from where we are house sitting in Wodonga. Very interesting here. No TB's in cache. #1500 for us ! SL TFTC Zaph
Out for a day of caching with Geo-granddaughter, looking for easy, big caches. Number 4 on the list. Parked near the start of the track off Bells Flat Road and had a nice walk to GZ. Did some swaps and SL. Concealed the cache a bit better. TFTC Zaph
No travel bugs to be seen. Dropped ours anyway. Have to go a little rogue to get to it. Path isnt easily distinguished from main path. Traveling sisters.
out on a bike ride last weekend with my mate froggy, went for a bit of a caching run, this was one of those caches, thanks heaps to all hiders
27 December 2014 8:33 pm - We were really confused with the spoiler image. Looked everywhere for 30 minutes
#1297 28th of 34 finds today as we enjoy a day off work in the Yak area. We made our way to this cache on foot from the sports complex. The path was a little over grown in places and on verge of eroding away at one point but good enough to get us to gz today. We were greeted by some an interesting history near the cache hide, thanks for bringing us here Zaph. Sadly no trackables spotted in the cache.
Have been to this gorge several times and didn't realise there was a cache here. Found the hint a bit confusing but geo kid soon spotted it.
Thanks Zaph for bringing me here. I wouldn't have bothered coming unless cache hunting but so glad I did. Very restful spot. Coming along the path my GPS said 30m straight across the gorge. Has anyone been tempted to jump the river as a short cut? Someone must have tried it?! I also found the hint a little confusing but on discovery realised I didn't really need it. GZ is a challenging spot as you spiral out while looking for the hide. The jumble of different sized rocks means it's easy to miss a point on your search path.

Great hide but look out for snakes!! There was a cold brown trying to wRm up today nearby.
Found with Brindavy while out late after attempting to find 'Gorge by Torch'. Unfortunately there was no luck there, but after a thorough search, this cache was in hand. It was a super moon tonight so we hardly needed the torch which seemed dull against the moonlight. A bit of a treacherous path at night after the rain. I questioned the craziness of it all.
Was almost about to give up before we managed to find it. Never even knew this place existed. Was a nice little place, will have to go there one day during the day rather than scurrying around there at night.
Great spot, Thankyou for this cache, lovely area. Watch out for slippery rocks if going after rainy days.
[:(!] After arriving at my sons residence at Baranduda to spend a couple of nights with his family, I went and did a late afternoon caching run, this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

Found during couple weeks adventure from Tom Groggin beginning to Murray Mouth end of the Murray River. A great walk down to the gorge, even if a bit damp from on/off rain. A nice walk, thanks for bringing us here. TFTC
I have been meaning to come here for a long time. Places like this lend themselves for excellent cache sites. The GPS kept putting me in the same spot each time I wandered past; then I looked through my somewhat sweaty geoglasses and bingo. SL TNLN TFTC (I wonder how much money geocaching contributes to communities by bringing tourists to places like this????)

Our family holiday went by in a flash... but that doesn't mean we can't play on our way home.
Sure, the historic townships of Yackandandah and Beechworth are well worth bringing the girls for a visit, but it was Geocaching that lured me this way today. One cache in particular, placed by a schoolmate. The first in Yackandandah, as it happens.
This one.
With the temperature soaring into the thirties, I dropped the girls off in the centre of town to find icy-poles, then drove to the carpark overlooking the gorge. A short walk later, and I was close; except there was a deep, rocky chasm in the way. So, once I'd worked my way around to the other side, the cache was quickly in hand. Still nice and dry and safe in its snug hiding spot, after a couple of hundred hides and more than ten years.
Such a pretty spot; a great place to entice people to. Thanks, Zaph, it was fun. Oh, and I loved the embellishments to the container.

Found on our 2013 Geelong Christmas trip. Getting a little bit darker now, but one more cache was the go. Wanted to get the 2003 cache out of anything, it is a bit milestone to get a "retro" cache. Parked up at the sign closest to the West, then went down the hill avoiding snakes in the blackberries and in the long grass. Got to the bridge and contemplated the view for ages - such a cool landform that was beautiful to stare at. The water was coming down calmly. Never would've come here without caching. Then the real challenge started. Because of paranoia about snakes, we had to avoid as much water and as much long grass as we could. Started on the edge of the main path, then rock hopped up and down the landscape, avoiding places where a slight sound was made. After a few minutes, we were at GZ and the cache was quickly found. It was hard getting out with all the heavy granite. It was quickly signed, then it was a shorter expedition on the way back to the path. A very nice cache with a challenge and a beautiful landform. TNLNSL. TFTC Zaph!
Lovely sunny afternoon to venture out and collect a cache to keep my small streak alive. Got to GZ and after a bit of GPS bounce decided to do an observational sweep of the area. Found not long after.
TNSL Pleasant spot for an afternoon cache hunt, thanks

Found while on the annual Scout Bakery to Bakery hike from Beechworth to Yack.
This was our last rest spot before arriving in town at the bakery and I had just enough time to grab a smilie.
A great location for a cache.

Lucky for me I was with a cacher that had already found this cache, because I reckon it might have been a bit tricky. ( but in true cacher style I wouldn't have given up until I'd found it ) SL TNLN TFTC.
Second time I have come across Red Leader and Fox 2 having some alone time in the bush. Although they picked a nice spot to do it at least. TFTC
We tried... 40 min searching around rocks, rocks in the open rocks under trees rocks up high... Even tried to compare images ... Nadda... Hope next person more lucky
This is a terrific spot for a cache. It is great to see the layers of history here and to imagine what it would've been like all those years ago digging this out by hand. The water was flowing very fast through the gorge today and it made for some great photos while we were there.

Fourth day in Yackandandah and an early start to geocaching and found this guy after being here yesterday but did not know that this cache was in this location.
This is an old cache but I have a few that are older in Geelong but this location was created last century and is a great feat of bloody hard work.
Cache was found to be in great condition and was re hidden well so will be a little harder for the next finder.
Thanks Zaph for placing this cache.

Found at 2:18 PM GAFF5 in the company of Alansee. As we were in the vicinity we just had to do this cache as it is one of the ones published before we started caching.
A longer than expected walk, but so interesting. Cutting that granite gorge by hand - gosh!
Thanks Zaph.

Pick this one up whilst checking out the Gorge before coming back to do the "Gorge by Torch" Cache, but nex time I will park at the sports ground, got to remember I don't have a 4WD as I bottom out trying to cross a little creek bed lucky no damage. If anyone else planning to do "Gorge by Torch" let me know would be good done as a group. For those who are scared of the dark. TFTC
This is what is good about Geocaching; it takes you places you mightn't have discovered otherwise. I left the TB 'Queen Betty Boop'. TFTC.

One of many caches throughout of Easter Long Weekend trip up the Kiewa Valley and the Victorian High Country.
All Were Great Caches, Thanks to all for giving us a reason to travel and taking us to some unique places up in the amazing Victorian high country.
I would recomend to anyone and everyone to travel and let the caches guide you thoughout the mountains.
At time of Caching I Was Know As "adrian.robinson" / "ar", Due To Facebook Automatic Naming and now known as "VicMap", Much shorter and easier to write.
Found with S.Piddy, roverman88, ashleigh.green, Jesstu666 and team purple pen.

A great spot to visit with all the water gurgling through the gorge below
Of course I ended up on the wrong side for my first look and had to cross the bridge again and go scrambling
Once on the correct side of The Gorge, I was soon rewarded with a cache find

My iPhone App said there were a couple of Travel Bugs in this cache, so even though I did not have the correct footwear for this type of walk, I took the opportunity and ran the gauntlet of a thousand meat ants on the rocky trail leading to the cache. Found it fairly quickly, although the photo hint does not look like the location.
I was disappointed not to find any Travel Bugs, but signed the book and returned the cache to it's hiding spot.

My GPS had many minds today and was trying to confuse me so after much fruitless chasing around finally just used some geosense and soon had what i was seeking. The gorge is an amazing thing and to think it was man power that made it. TFTC
