As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Took a while at the final waypoint but eventually spied the container.
Unfortunately I suspect the cache itself has been muggled as all I could locate at GZ was an empty ziplock bag, a pencil and a small plastic spider.
Posted note to owner.

We found all the information today and did the calculations. Then redid the calculations to check them. Then off we went to find the waypoint. Well.....Our maths had us in the middle of a horse paddock!
We were on a time limit so we thought we'll come back another day to have another go and hopefully get a chance to actually LOOK for the cache.

Didn't have the mindset this morning at the site as I was on the trail of another couple of caches on the geocycle.
It has now clicked. Will be back

Arrived at co-ordinates, approaching nightfall, on my way home from working overtime. Found answer to the first two questions before being summoned by phone to come for dinner. Will try for completion tomorrow, hopefully.
Having answered the first two questions the day previous before being summoned by phone to come for dinner, I calculated the location of the waypoint by using the checksum rather than waiting to find it on my visit. Checked out it's location on Google Earth before leaving work. Arrived at site mid phone conversation and headed 3/4 of the way to waypoint before realising I hadn't programmed the waypoint into my GPS. Returned to car to get co-ordintes. Found waypoint at 16:45 and cache at 17:00. Waypoint was well hidden and due to sketchy GPS accuracy, I resorted to reading previous logs to help in it's discovery. Got eaten alive by mozzies while trying to enter final co-ords into GPS. Returned waypoint and calculated cache to be near where I'd parked my car. Looked at the two only possible positions for cache before looking at photo I had taken of Cache Co-ords and realising I had transcribed one numeral incorrectly. With correct co-ords on hand, located cache easily near the remains (skull)of a previous critter. Judging by the size, I'd guess a possum. Wasn't aware of this cultural location, despite it being relatively close to home. TNLNSL. TFTC.

Well the waypoint cache IS well hidden. Very nice walk around here. Thanks Dragons Lair. Funny how these places exist close to busy raods and highways. Took glass chicken and left shower curtain rings.

A lovely wet day to go geocaching. I thought I'd have the area to myself. It was not to be...some of those walkers/joggers sure are keen!!
Found the clue after a bit of a scratch around and then onto the cache. Love the hiding spot. Cache is nice and dry.
Thanks again for introducing me to one of those areas that I've driven past 100s of times but never stopped.

We misinterpreted the vertical wood counting on top of the platform. Recalculated and it was spot on. Nice little spot but we also felt like we were on sacred land. TNLNSL
[Found it today in Good Condition. TNLNSL

Would add a note that the Waypoint (Microcache with final coords in it) is only 3 metres from the Path at the base of a tree.

A most enjoyable spot that has been restored nicely over the last few years. It certainly attracts a large variety of waterbirds. Took a Klem bear and left a fire truck.
Found without too much trouble. Nice spot to bring us visitors. Thanks for the trouble you have taken to set this up. Took a fairy and left a magnetic paper clip and Klem Bear. Thanks Dragons Lair.
Found this one after going a little astray at first. It helps to read the questions properly doesn’t it?
Thanks for taking us to this area we didn’t know about. The final location had us thinking we were standing on sacred ground
Took: Mummy toy Lefty: Compass clip.

The HawMorFords found it - first of the day.... though we found the coordinates to be a little out... we had 10 or 11 satellites for most of the time with accuracy of 2 - 3 (waas) metres... the film canister (good clue) and final location were about 10 metres away...
We are new at this so it might be us............
Nice spot and enjoyable walk. TNLN

Found at last at 10.05am. Tent was still there near film canister hiding place, but nobody seemed to be home. As we were retrieving the final cache from it's position someone came into view along the track. While the senior wanderers tried to act casual, junior wanderer (4yrs) yelled out "I found the Treasure!". The walker continued on a distance but seemed quite interested in us. Bad timing, thanks for introducing us to this lovely area. TNLNSL

GPSr couldn't make up its mind which way to point this morning. The addition of a small tent pitched in the general direction we thought we needed to look made us decide to come back another time!

Found this one today without too many dramas at all. Left the Co-ords in the film canister and just plugged them into the GPSr. Found the cache alright too.
Its amazing how many times we've driven past this area on the way to the sunshine coast and never noticed it here.
Thanks for the cache
VWNuts.

Placed a film canister in the original position with co-ordinates for final cache. Please leave some in the canister for the next cacher. Its been a looong week. Cheers John
Checked this today regrettably the 1st stage is gone. I cannot understand how or why but it does't matter as I will replace it next week.

First cache took a little to find and judging by all the flattened grass around the area, I'm guessing others have had trouble too. Hint helped, but was unsure whether it was meant for the 1st or 2nd cache until we found it.
Had fun working out the puzzle.

What wonderful weather for cache hunting. Cool and heavy overcast sky with no rain. Hasn't rained for months.
Dropped in after Nudgee, Nudgee, Wink, Wink and took some time to work it out. Still don't know that I worked it out right but found everything after some hunting. Had some hiding to do in the bushes to avoid muggles.
TNLN. Wonder who else was searching for this one today? The Mrs was watching you from the car park...

Found this one by torch light at 2155. I'm still not sure what I was supposed to count at WP3, but with the information I got at WP2 I was able to figure out what 'zz' was supposed to be (thank goodness, because non of the things I counted gave me the expected result [?]). I set off to what I foolishly thought was the final cache--I misinterpreted the comment in the cache description. Now armed with the real final coordinates, I did my usual trick of taking the non-obvious path to the cache, but found it with no dramas.
All-in-all, a very pleasant walk around on a great Spring night in Brisbane [^]

Calculated what we think are the right co-ordinates, but just could not find it!!! We seemed to be in the right sort of location, but no matter how hard we searched (for about 45 minutes) we just couldn't get it. Have to come back again another time as kids getting very tired...
After lunch, I went back with our eldest son (the only one who wasn't asleep) and after much more head scratching we found it!!!
I think the terrain needs upgrading on this, as a 1 terrain is just a little low. I also would have thought that the difficulty was a bit higher (considering the number of logs here where people have had to go back multiple times).
But it is a great cache. Congrats to the hider, it is well designed and gives all a great day out!!

Only just managed to locate this one before the GPSr batteries went flat! Enjoyed the walk and the aboriginal history, as well as the announcer's banter from the nearby football field.

We tried finding this one last year, but with no success. Found both parts quite easily this time. Both containers in good condition. Retrieved Dragon Croc - ready for his trip to Sydney next weekend. In - blue Mummy, out horse.

Found it on my 3rd attempt.
Very cleverly hidden.
Took Merlin and left a "small gold nugget" in his place.
Special thanks to "The Four Bears" for their advice to a newbie like me about finding this unusual cache.
Thanks!

WOOHOO finally this one has been found. It was a case of 4th time lucky. With the ambiguities sorted and the numbers correct we proceeded to make our way to the final location. Nothing was swapped as we didn't bring anything, mostly due to a lack of memory in the face of excitement.

This is a great spot and well worth the drive. Thanks for setting it up.
Unfortunately, we were confused by the ambiguous instructions, and would appreciate some clarification. We got all the answers to the questions, but couldn't quite hash them to get the coordinates.
The instructions say "take the highest numbers vvvv and the balance in order xxxx."
By "Highest numbers" do you mean:
(a) "the four numerals in the date with the highest value" or
(b) "the left most 4 numerals in the date" or
(c) "the right most 4 numerals in the date"
By "The balance in order xxxx" do you mean:
(a) "The remaining numerals in the date, sorted in descending order of magnitude after the 4 numerals with the highest value have been extracted" or
(b) "The remaining numerals in the date, in the order in which they appear in the date, after the 4 numerals with the highest value have been extracted" or
(c) "The right most 4 numerals in the date" or
(d) "The left most 4 numerals in the date".
I am not sure whether the instructions were intentionally ambiguous or not, but we had a couple of little children in our party, so it was difficult to be ham-fisted in our approach and try all possibilities covered by the ambiguities.
If some kind soul could explain to me which of the above interpretations of the instructions is the intended one, I'll happily take the long drive back out with all the kids and log it.
Once again, thanks for setting up the cache.

Good location for cache, enjoyed looking around the site and solving the clues.
The cache logbook has got wet and it's in need of a maintenance visit.
SteveGriffin beat us to Jeremiah the Bullfrog TB, although we thought he was lost since there's no entry in the cache logbook.
Many thanks for this entertaining cache.

It has been a day of liberation. I finally liberatted this one from my unfound list after 3 months and I think 5 attempts - this has been as close as I ever want tot get to a voo-doo cache. Walked straight up to it in the end. Also took the liberty of liberating Jeremiah to continue his travels.
What a great Cache.. An excellent location and a fun way to find the Cache.. We did this one in the heat of the day, but it was such a lovely little spot that we had never been too before. We had a great time thanks Dragons..
Took a dragon ( for our personal collection ) and dropped off Jeremiah the bullfrog, he enjoyed the World Cup final with us...(he's a bit of a loud supporter!!)

Found at 4:10pm - Finally!
Well... turns out I had an error in the order in which I put the numbers in the date, my 'xxxx' numbers were in the wrong order! I had them in reverse numeric order (4321 style) not in left to right order. Once that was done, I trundled off with the wife and kids to find it. The eagle eyed wife spotted it, the GPSr was a little way off, the hint helped her.
Nice spot for a cache, enjoyed reading about the area and it's significance.
Thanks,
Ben.

hmmm... the value of reading logs before searching, the value of printing a CURRENT page....
My printed page from the 31st October has the co-ord of (xxxx-2*zz)/2-11.5 S 22.22.aaa - well 22.22.aaa is over 500km away so I made the assumption that it should be 27.22.aaa which would put in in the same park... (I notice the current page does say 27.22.aaa)
so onward I went... upon finding concrete ramps for the 'entry' and 'exit' I wondered if the horizontal rails on the fence leading upto the viewing platform were it... dutifullily counted them (same number on left(exit) and right(entry)) this figure inserted into the equation produced a figure aaa.x didn't make sense so I dropped the .x and it was in the park.... but no cache at that location that I could find..... hmmmm....
so the questions are:
did I count the right horizontal boards?
should i get a figure of aaa.x? or should it be aaa?
did i get the right spot and just not find it?
any help appreciated.
Ben.

After checking the changes as noted by Steve include the rails each side over the concrete in the calculation it should still work. Also please put the green bag and log book at the botom as it can be seen from the track if on top

First of a very mixed caching day. It seems that the concrete man has visitied recently and removed the wooden ramps to the viewing platform and replaced them with - you guessed it - concrete. The numbers just don't work

Good to know I can still do my sums right!
Found without too much trouble, although there was an old plastic bottle on the ground which put me off for a while. Took Great Barrier Reef keyring and left highlighter pen.
Nice little spot with a rich local history.

Judy took the kids to do this one, leaving Tom at home to do some work. (Real work, not housework!)
We agree with Manta that the plaque was about 100m from the co-ords given. Not a problem, though. Molly was beside herself to see a turtle in the pond. Loved it!.
The sums all added up OK for us and the new co-ords led us straight to the cache. We were a bit mystified as to what had happened to the cache, having found a plastic bag containing the log book, pencils, cache note and Manta's post-it thingys. Our log book entry will reflect this. We took the post-its and left a collection of beaded hair ties in the bag with the log book.
But wait!!! there was more hidden deeper!! As we didn't discover the cache booty until after the trade had been made, it's all still there for the taking.
We left the cache covered a bit better as it was could have been mistaken for litter when we first saw it.
Thanks for the hunt - it was a lovely stroll and an interesting place of which we didn't previously know the significance.

Thought I'd try this one on the way up to Bribie Island for some other caches but was unable to locate it.
I plotted the plaque in the picnic area at S27deg 22.486 E153deg 05.740, almost 100m away from the listed co-ordinates. This was averaged for 10 minutes with 4m accuracy showing on my Etrex Venture. The listed co-ords are out near the road, with no plaque nearby.
Given that this was the right plaque, the numbers didn't seem to add up anyway. I must have checked and rechecked the figures twenty times but still didn't come up with numbers that made sense. For the East co-ord, I tried counting the vertical posts both on the viewing platform and platform plus entry ramp. When calculated out, all I came up with were numbers with large recurring decimals, not whole numbers. Perhaps the calculation is too ambiguous? I tried several interpretations of it but couldn't get a whole number. I didn't even bother trying to get the South co-ord as I had nothing to cross it with and would have been wandering aimlessly.
Maybe a check sum would help? Happy to hear from any others who have had, or intend to have a crack at this one.
Sorry, Dragons Lair - I really did try!
