Knock, knock, knock..but I don't think the Voodoo Queen was home today
Visited whilst on a tour in New Orleans with GoodLook.
Found whilst I was travelling from Australia with GoodLook. For close to a month we drove more than 5500 miles in our rental car whilst caching around the USA and parts of Canada. Stand out moments have included a boat trip in Georgia on Lake Lanier; completely filling my Jasmer Grid (which is not possible to do in Australia); dropping into the ASPGB Mega in New York; socialising at various events; catching up with family friends; attending the GeoWoodstock 2018 Giga; caching in specific US States meaning that I have now cached in all 50 States plus D.C.; and of course the fun involved whilst caching with geo-buddies. What a wonderful adventure it has been!
Thanks so much for the virtual cache.

Took a two hour walking tour this morning and went through the cemetery. I've wanted to go through here for years but never managed to actually do it.
Today was my second full day to explore NOLA and the French Quarter. I signed up for my tour of St. Louis Cemetery #1 as soon as I had my itinerary for this trip; it turns out that I got really lucky in choosing the group I went through and had an excellent master-of-ceremonies who gave us some really great stories about the people who are buried within the walls. Marie Laveau was one of the first tombs we stopped at on our 90 minute tour and I was elated that I found the information I needed so quickly (and without having to be obvious.) All said and done, I'm guessing I took about a hundred pictures while on the tour - absolutely stunning visuals.
TFTVC! Email has been sent and I'm adding a favorite point as this experience was one of the highlights of my visit.

Be aware that since March 2015 the only way to get into the cemetery is with a tour guide. Too many people were defacing the cemetery and the diocese wanted it closed to all but family. Once my group was able to come to the grave, I was able to get the cache.
We spent Christmas eve in the French Quarter. We started our day with a beignet and coffee (you know where), then took a guided walking tour all over the place. This cemetery was one of our last stops and I took some pictures in the few minutes we were here. After lunch we set out to find some caches and I was so dismayed to read what we had to do to claim this virtual, since I hadn't paid any attention to the disk on the ground. But happily, I went back and looked at my photos and the answer was clearly visible. CO has been emailed. TFTC!
We were on a mule led tour today. We asked to stop here. The price of our tour paid for the entrance fee. This is an amazing place, and this is an amazing story. We stopped by to see Nicolas Cage too! Thanks for keeping this one alive.
We enjoyed the big easy and our visit here. Thank you for creating this virtual cache.
We don't know if the cache needs maintenance, but the cache description sure does. There is no mention, much less an attribute, that indicates there is an access fee to this virtual. It's also an outrageously expensive access fee. Hiking all the way out here to literally be turned away at the gate pretty much bummed out an otherwise enjoyable morning caching in and around the French Quarter. We are submitting this log in the hope of forcing some action to prevent other cachers from being disappointed and/or unknowingly ripped off at the site.
I was able to get a discounted tour with Dkeato and went in quickly to get the desired info. TFTV
Found with TOK after finding a tour guide willing to take 5 bucks. Not bad for3 mminutes work. She pointed out the big white pyramid as Nicholas Cage's future resting spot too.
9475 Found on my trip to New Orleans. I think it's ridiculous that I cannot go inside for 5 minutes unless I am with a 'licensed' tour guide. It feels like such a scam. I was able to grab the needed info nonetheless. Thanks for the virtual
After a long final year of school, my family and I decided to take a trip to the USA to cap off a big year. This is one of the caches found on the trip, travelling between New Orleans, Miami, Washington D.C. and New York City.
Today was our third and final full day in NOLA. We mostly visited a few of the places that we were interested in that we hadn't had the chance to visit yet. Later on in the day I also managed to find some spare time to make sure I found all caches closest to our hotel. This was the 3rd cache find of today and boy, is American caching sure different to Australian caching!
Really interesting little spot in here. Nice one!
Thanks Sceddar

Greetings from Reni, NV. No, not Vegas-450 miles north where it has been in the 20s. NO is a delightful change. Thanks for bringing me here!
Found this resting place of the Voodoo Queen while wandering around New Orleans. TFTVC
With growing up in the Greater New Orleans area, I never realized how unique the city's cemeteries were until I left the area. Now any time I can visit the city I like to look at these old tombs and wonder about the times the people that are interred there lived in. I have family buried in various locations around the city in multiple different ways. Still love to walk through these places.
Thanks for setting up this virtual. Sad to see that times have changed and vandals have caused the gates to be closed unless you are on a tour, but I can understand.

Spent the day walking around the French Quarter and surrounding area with VikingNav. This is one of many of the great virtuals we found today. Thanks for keeping it going for us to enjoy. VikingNav has emailed our answer.

The Supercomputing Conference was in New Orleans in 2010 and now it's back in 2014, so I'm visiting some old friends for some TB miles and grabbing some new smileys I missed last time, or which have been placed since...this was the final cache I visited this time around, between checking out of the hotel and the 30 hour trip back home..my log history says I found this one on the 19th of November in 2010.
Found by Mary & David, from Melbourne, Australia, at 1429. Our last day in New Orleans, and we did the rounds on the Bus Vision hop on hop off tour. Did one circuit non-stop, then mad this our first hop off. Lots of small groups walking around with their guides, so it was easy to pick up bits of information here and there. The coordinates were good, so we would have found GZ easily even without all the other visitors. Amazing decorations on the tomb, and we saw another one with similar "inscriptions" further back in the cemetery, which one tour guide seemed to day was related in some way (another family member?). Also found what seemed to be the oldest tomb and the newest. Answer sent. Our thanks to Sceddar.
Found 19/11, logged with permission 22/11, #132 for us, found @ around 10:30am
In town for SC10, with a day off on Friday, it was a chance to do some sightseeing, learn a bit of history and log a few caches around the French Quarter. This one was a short walk from my hotel and the first chance I would have had to get there during business hours. What an interesting site and story to this particular tomb. Had a bit of a walk around marvelling at the different tombs and the different states of repar they were in.
Thanks for the cache and g'day from Down-Under..back home now
