I visited this war memorial probably more than a year ago on a caching trip with TangentGoat. When wed done the calculation we had realised the final was in the opposite way of which we were travelling so we had left collecting it for another day.Today I was out taking the new car for its first caching trip and noticed that the final for this cache was on my way to another multi I was hoping to collect. The GPS struggled here and it was only when I had given up and was making my way back to the car that I noticed the familiar geocaching camouflage and was able to make the find.A good sized cache was found and I added my name to the logbook before I replaced it back nicely hidden. I collected the TB to take on my overseas travel tomorrow. Thanks for bringing me to this memorial and the good exploration I got of the final GZ
Chose this cache for blingg and I to attempt as the clues mention my distant cousins, Edward, George and William Ellis. TFTC
What a fantastic week of (late) autumn weather it has been in Adelaide! And with even more on the way, I thought Id take the opportunity to go away for a few days of caching, camping and sightseeing on my own. From Adelaide I headed down to the Coonawarra, then across to the Southern Grampians area then east as far as Colac, before making my way back home. I took a winding route, collecting caches of interest along the way. I managed to find a range of caches types, including Traditional, Unknown, Multi, Letterbox Hybrid, Virtual and Earthcaches as well as a few Adventure Labs. All but a couple were found without any trouble. Most were good order unless otherwise noted.Fortunately the weather held out pretty well for most of the time. However, it rained steadily for hours when I was in Colac one night, but I guess you have to expect that in Victoria! The required information was collected and final coordinates determined, than it was off to GZ for a quick find. Thanks maccamob for the cache.
We enjoyed working this one out and eventually got to the cache the co-ords were just about spot on.TFTC TNLN
Well that'll teach me to read the description *properly!* I missed the bit where it says "Use the central memorial only . . etc." which had us scratching our heads and in my case getting splinters, trying to figure out the coordinates. Two attempts before I finally re-read the description and we (Mrs B & I) worked out the proper coordinates.Anyway we were in Snake Valley to visit friends so left the final search until we were heading home via Linton, Bannockburn, Geelong etc.TFTC
Nice cache which had great coordinates. Youngest monsters favourite type of cache and I would arguably say it is at least a Regular size!! TFTC!
Peppa had a plan! Beardman75, Peppa and I have come to Ballarat to cache until we drop, its day 3 and its far from over. We have completed the Ballarat Geotour, which was our main target for the trip, so have the rest of the day to go where the wind (or BM75) takes us. We were passing right by this multi so made a stop and gathered the numbers, thankfully the final was in our direction of travel so we continued on to GZ. Found the cache in good condition.Tftc maccamobFind #5287
The drive to GZ felt like Here Be Dragons. Found with Peppa and Davinells. Thanks for the cache maccamob
Day 3 in the Pulsating Peugeot Party Prowler Having watched Davinells take an early morning dip in the delightfully chilly Lake Wendouree, then gotten our GeoTour souvenir, were now on a grand excursion to collect some select oldies in far flung LGAs and anything else I request as this was a Peppa had a plan weekendSo now were so far out off the map of what I thought was possible this weekend that Im just nodding in the backseatOldie New LGA Non traditional reallyA fascinating little piece of historyThanks maccamob
After getting the required information the other day today was a nice day to go have a look for the final location. Thanks for a great multi and a great cache at the end.
Found It!I counted all the names but was a little doubtful that I had the right numbers. But I drove to the coordinates I had and soon found the cache so I guess I got the counts right! Luckily no serpents were seen along the way!TFTC
Glad to be able to turn this sad face to a happy one! Don't know what we did wrong last time but this time our coordinates were correct and we made a quick find. Pleasure to find an excellent large cache! Bit over micros in the bush. Was a lovely day to make the find and the bush was beautiful with all the flowers out. Tftc. Finally!
Love the history and love the old church across the road. Got 5 days off from work so I decided to come to Ballarat and do the Geo Tour before its gone, also grabbing random caches and Adventures labs along my journey. So thanks to all who have placed caches. Sl cache replaced.
Sadly couldn’t locate. Maybe had wrong coordinates. Will try another day. Didn’t want to fall down mineshafts.
Took a little searching once we were in the right spot but then we found it. TFTC!

After attending a couple of events in Skipton, it was now time to make my way back to Melbourne for a T5 event tonight, as I did have some time on my hands, I decided to find a few caches along the way.
This one was started a long time ago, but was heading in the wrong direction to where we were wanting to go so it was put on hold.
Today, after completing another multi cache, I found that this one wasn't far away, so I headed to this one next.
I was able to park close to GZ and with a short stroll I was there, I cache was spotted quickly and the log was signed.
**Thanks to maccamob for placing this cache.**

A lot of positives with this one. It was an interesting task in a nice little town, followed by a pleasant drive on a nice country track, to be greeted by a container in good condition & an old hide as well. Thanks for all your trouble. A favourite from me. Tftc
After attending an event in Ballarat we decided to grab a variety of caches and take some of the back roads as we slowly head home. We don't think we have ever visited this town although seen the signs many times.
A lovely memorial at 1st waypoint with an impressive church too.
All the numbers easily obtained followed by a nice little drive. Cache quickly located. All good here.
Thanks maccamob

Worked out the coordinates last week but ran out of time to grab it so returned today. Such a beautiful area and first find of the day.

Oooh! An old Maccamob cache! And a Multi as well and on a possible route back to Ballarat. Walking from one side of the memorial to the other gave me an implausible, but not impossible set of coordinates, so I used a PAF option to verify my answers as it was getting late in the day. It was just as well as I had a few wrong numbers. These coordinates were much closer and led us back into the forest we’d just been in! Retracing our car tracks we got to a nondescript patch of bush not far from our last find. There weren’t many possibilities for hiding places in the vicinity and by spreading our search field we found a larger than expected, but familiar geocaching container about 10m away from my calculated GZ. It was a great adventure.
With it being such a hot day today, we decided to pick a selection of caches to look for with ilook4geo that did not involve too much walking. This one was a nice quick find after working out the new numbers and both names were soon written on the log to mark our visit. Co-ords were very good. Thanks go to maccamob for putting this cache into play.
Came along today with goingplaces2 to find some caches around the Ballarat area. Found quite a variety of hides and enjoyed all the finds. Each log was found and signed. TFTC.
Had some time to kill and since this little town is fairly close to our sons place in Smythsdale we thought we'd duck across for a look see. We were impressed by the church building across the road and hoped we could get a look inside but that wasn't to be. We worked out the numbers and headed off but couldn't find anything at GZ. After a call to the CO we worked out we'd made a simple mistake and GZ was only a short distance from where we were. No problem with the find this time and the cache is signed. Since my very first find was a Maccamob cache I'm always happy to add another to the tally.
Thanks indeed Maccamob.
Thanks indeed Maccamob.
Was hoping for this cache to be the first for this months mountain. I just realized I logged a mere 4 hours to early for it to count. Doh!
It was a perfect morning for getting on a bike and Geocaching on the Ballarat Skipton Rail Trail. Ausfox; and Mr Dromaniax set off to turn as many dots into smileys as possible. The roads to GZ were in surprisingly good condition compared to some other tracks we have driven down today. We left the car in the middle of the road and unlocked. Who would be coming down this road at this time of day? We arrived at GZ and found what looked like a new ammo can. We opened the ammo can, and it looked like we should be able to get an FTF. The cache is pristine, and we were staggered to see that the log has been in the cache since 2011. We joked that maccamob must have a sixth sense about when people are coming to find the cache and grab the cache out of the fridge and drop it off, keeping it as fresh as a daisy. Did we mention this cache is in immaculate condition? Thank you for this cache maccamob. An FP from us for bringing us here and for keeping this cache going for so long.
After completing a section of the BSRT on bikes, Dromaniax and I continued to explore the local area on a prefect winters day, locating all hides along the way.
Dromaniax had done the hard work gathering the information. So I was lucky to be able to join for the search for the hide.
Once we located the hide we thought we were FTF on a hide, as the cache and log were in pristine condition.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the Traditional Cache Maccamob

A lovely monument and after getting all the information we needed we made our way to GZ for a quick find.
Enjoying a weekend away before the busy school holidays. This cache was one that we were keen to find this weekend due it’s older hidden date. Waypoint one was a beautiful location and not where we otherwise would have traveled. We recalculated to check our numbers and were feeling a little nervous about our gz. After a lovely scenic drive we were very happy to find the well maintained cache and add our name to the log.
Thank you for highlighting this area with your cache.

Well, we stumbled on a couple of these off the main road caches, which Mrs Riddell convinced Mr Riddell to get.
He had his mind set on a 2001 published cache at Mr Buangor that we need for our AUSMER Challange. We had already been distracted by a chance to crack an FTF at Scochmans Lead earlier today and were driving back from that direction.
No problems with the maths but we bumbled around at GZ.
We noted that one of the Gardners was spelt with an i in it (Gardiner).
So maybe no one had noted that before, so that is our excuse for being about 10 meters out... as it only affected the last decimal position.
Nice to see this older cache lasting this long too.
However one of the tabs has fallen off and the others are not far behind.
If we had a spare we would have replaced the box, which actually looks in good nick.
It was dry and very clean.
We covered it well to protect it from the sun.
We were very impressed with the church also, and the little town as we drove through it with pub, general store, more churches, school and a large community hall.

Out with Bunadoorian for a day exploring this area of Victoria which we have driven through but not stopped in. After doing some of the BSRT caches in Skipton and Linton, The Labcache in Lipton and having a wonderful lunch in Linton- Bunadoorian and I headed north to Snake Valley. We were about to head home when Bunadoorian said there's a multi with just one way point near by. We couldn't resist when we realised it was a maccamob multi. On our travels today we had passed by this monument and the impressive church across the road. So with pen and paper ready we gathered our answers and set about the calculations for GZ. We enjoyed the scenic journey to GZ. Cache was found in good condition. It never stops amazing me how people find all these amazing hiding places! Find 20 for today and now time to head home - what an enjoyable day away from Melbourne. TFTC maccamob
Grub62 and I decided that seeing as we are now allowed out of Melbourne we would try a few caches on a nearby rail trail. We went passed this Multi cache then Grub62 told me who created it then we had to come back and get it. A nice easy calculation was completed after visiting the 1st way point then to GZ. Well off the main drag and nicely hidden as you would expect from a maccamob cache. TFTC and we are looking forward to catching up again some time in the future.
Disabled for the duration of the renewed Covid-19 lockdown. We believe the responsible thing is to disable all our caches until this latest crisis passes.
Thanks.
Thanks.
A beautiful monument with a lovely drive to GZ at the end.taking advantage of the good weather before the next lockdown begins...
What a beautiful memorial and the church was a surprise. All was quiet here today. TFTC
Loved gathering the info for this multi .... the memorial and the church are amazing - would have been interesting to see the town in it's hey day. TFTC
Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis. Although exercise is ok, beaches, parks etc are gradually being closed, and we are being asked to stay home. The virus can be transmitted by surface contact, so please don't take the chances. Geocaching is a game, and we are dealing with a serious Public Health issue, so we need to get our priorities in order. Please stay at home!
We believe the responsible thing is to disable all our caches, until this crisis passes.

My 1001th cache find. Done with Claybol on a good day's caching in and around Ballarat. Knowing the CO's we were discussing how people from miles and miles away would make their way onto an inauspicious location on an inauspicious track to place a cache.
We invented a few stories but know I want to know the story of how maccamob came to hide a cache here....
TFTC. Enjoyed the adventure.

Find #2366 for me. Found at 3:12 pm with virbull while visiting the area from Bendigo. I'd visited the posted coordinates to gather the required information back in August last year but decided to do the maths from home and leave the final find until a later time. With so many new caches being placed since then that were in or near Ballarat and much closer to my Ballarat base (i.e. Mum's home) my mind was briefly diverted... But today this old cache became our target. So we dropped by the posted coordinates so that virbull could get the information and also admire the memorial and church across the road then on to GZ. Well I must have done the maths right since the coordinates were spot-on for us leading to a quick find. This was also the first cache I've found that was placed in July 2003 which gets me one step closer to fulfilling the jasmer challenge, though I'm still a long way off from completing that particular challenge. Thanks for bringing us back to the bush today maccamob and thanks for the cache - great to see it's still in action after so many years!

A day out caching with Theo the GeoBeagle to pick up some old caches around this district.
This was my third target cache for the day, due to it being on my 500 oldest Vic caches list.
I was back today after my DNF from about 13 months ago, due to a misreading of the equation by Mrs Perpetuallylost, and kindly the COs pointed out my error but unfortunately we had already left the area by the time the message came through.
With the proper coords in hand today, it took about 30 seconds to locate this one, even though the cache is nicely covered up,
Another great cache maccamob, thx for highlighting both the memorial and the bush in the area.
Been a big day and that's it for me, time to head home, cheers!

GT is enjoying hunting down old caches so this was a must for us today. The clues were all found and calculations done. Off to look for the final but not before many photos were taken. It really is a striking church and memorial. Thanks for the cache and maintaining it so long, also for bringing us here.
I am pleased to find yet another old cache. They are my focus at the moment. The necessary details were found and so was the cache. The obligatory photos were taken and we were on our way. Thanks for maintaining this cache for so long.
Made a silly maths mistake - missed that one sum was subtraction. When we couldn’t find the cache we reread the info, spotted the mistake and thankfully the cache was close by.
We did find a lot of gold diggings when we were at the wrong spot so not disappointed about the detour.

TFTC. We were out and about chasing a long multi, Did not believe my co-rods but we were sort of in the area. Besides there are caches here. We are camped at Haddon and decided to cache out this way as the caches looked interesting and we had not been out this way before.
We spent some time gathering the required data and admiring the church. Certainly very impressive for a small town. Drove to GZ for a quick is find.

Our dog's paw has healed so we thought it was cool enough to go for a walk with her. She loves the bush so we figured we'd head here. This was the 3rd multi that we found when we started caching, but not long after that I left my team and started solo, so this is a special one for us/me. We noticed that it had a dnf so that's why we targeted this one, just to see if it was ok, and so I could sign the logbook too. Cache is in great condition. Tftc
Unfortunately no luck here today with Mrs Perpetuallylost also joining in on the search. Will have to talk to the COs about this one. Thx maccamob
We have settled back at Smythesdale for the night on the final leg of our trip. This is indeed a beautiful well maintained memorial. It was a pleasure to spend time here to collect the information and then the short drive and today not a sound was heard except for ourselves.

On such a lovely day, even if it was windy, we just had to head out to enjoy the day, not really knowing were we were going to head we ended up here, thanks for highlighting the fallen and their sacrifice, we gathered the required information and put it all together then set off for GZ, through such a lovely area, soon the log was retrieved and signed, thanks for the cache and the fun
Out today to grab this one that I had solved probably 12 months ago. Last week I tried from one side but couldn’t get through as a tree was down and covering the road so today came from the other side I grabbed the cache. Tftc and multi highlighting the fallen
Calming down from my tree climbing, four wheel driving in snow (I swear there was a patch 30cm by 10cm, that counts) and genera few days of non stop physical caches, I decided that this one looked good. I was slightly creeped out to be going to snake valley, and will admit that when I saw the steeple in the distance, I, not normally impressed with architecture, uttered a "wow". I was amused, upon stopping, to read the cache description and that the CO's thought the same. The memorial certainly was different to most, but no less sad. I soon had the information in hand, and calculated the final. Surely not I thought to myself, looking at it in satellite view. I checked my info. Ugh! After getting lost in a different forest earlier today, here I was voluntarily heading back in. I was very happy to finally have the cache in hand and sign the log to.. get out of there! Yes it's nice and peaceful, but when it's on dusk and you are by yourself, it's also a bit creepy! TFTC maccamob

There has been a few locations that I have wanted to check out for a while and this area was one of them. I had a few days of work and the geo family was busy so I planned a trip away from home for part of the day today to grab some caches. After visiting Lake Learmonth, I detoured on the way home to find this one. I had the search zone to my self and enjoyed the great monument that was built. So much history here. I worked on the numbers and to my surprise had some good numbers. When I looked it up I was a little worried about what I had done. But I trusted them. I took the drive to the final and it was a slow trip for part of it. Once I reached GC, I stayed put on the road and hoped for the best. Woo! It worked. I did a 15 point turn to face the other way and my caching day was done. Stamped and replaced as found.
**Thanks for placing and maintaining this old multi cache maccamob**
**Cache container and log in fine condition**
**Took nothing, Left nothing**

On a day trip to Ballarat, going the scenic way, we stopped here to have a go at this multi. What an amazing tribute, but I was more in awe of the church over the road...wow!!! Well Mr H certainly got a work out getting all the required information that we needed, while I just stood there calling out what he needed to find. After a short drive we soon had the cache in hand. Off on a Saturday drive to pick up a few "out of the way" (well, my way) caches.
After spending some time at the memorial, as I was by myself I done all the sums 3 times just to make sure I would be heading to the right place. after a short drive and a bit of mud sliding I was onto GZ and a quick find.

Find this one first shot! Proud of ourselves. Nice spot close too home. Be careful of mineshafts!
Good to be back in my home town where I grew up. Glad this multi took us in the direction we wanted to head anyway. Took a little while to find with so many possible places to look, but Yogster was sucessful. TFTC
TFTC. Out today with Jaggedwings and the Geomutt to enjoy the sunshine and pick up some caches in the outer lying areas of Ballarat and surrounds. Came across this one on the navigators list and was amazed at the number of families who had lost so many relatives in defense of our great land. With the coordinates to the GZ in hand and by reading previous logs we were pretty sure we were on the right path to GZ and found a nice quiet spot to sign the log, enjoy the local wildlife and move on. Favorite Point here, very nice multi.

Woohoo! finally put our stamp in the log book of this cache. It has been on our radar for a few years!!

Back in Ballarat to add a few more smileys and then decided to venture out here for an old multi so after gathering the numbers it was out to GZ and check out if I could see any serpents but too dry and dusty today.
Cache was found safe and well so with the log signed it was time to head off to the nearest after making sure that the camo covered this guy from prying eyes.
Thanks again to maccamob for keeping this guy alive and well for us to find.

As we felt like a pleasant walk this afternoon we decided to do a couple of local multis. We had success with our first even if our way point calculations were a bit dodgey but when we came to what we hoped was the GZ we could find no cache. We went back to the memorial to recheck our figures and headed back to GZ. After searching everywhere we thought might hide a cache we re checked our coordinates but the rain ended up beating us. We decided then it was time to enjoy the forest from the comfort of our car. Think we may need some help with this one.
Was up this way to be part of a team tackling some caches in Ballarat, but afterwards I decided to take a trip out a bit further and grab a couple of caches that were both interesting and ticked off some boxes on my LGA Challenge, and this one fit the bill nicely. Quite an impressive monument, and so many families who had been hit with tradegy during the War. I gathered the necessary info and went off to what I thought would be the final....but it had me having to be in the middle of someones property....
So back to town to check my numbers, and I had some wrong, fixed them up and off we went. Looked at the map - oh yes there's roads all the way there. Well, I was wrong. Bush tracks most of the way were a bit opf a suprise. However, the Tiiida still managed it and it was through some pretty interesting bushland.
A really interesting cache through some great part of the world. Fav point from me and TFTC.

I love holidays. They are so relaxing and allow me to do the things I want at my own pace. Today the pace was certainly sedate. It was a lovely day to be driving around the country side, and I savoured every single moment of it.
Of course, a couple of caches here and there don't go astray either.
I have ridden the pushbike past here a few times, and spent a bit of time around here putting the wet stuff on the hot stuff during some bushfires, but I have never really noticed this memorial.
Fairly soon, after looking around for a while, I decided to get the numbers that I required. I entered them into the GPS and went off searching. After a while things weren't looking too good, so I decided to recheck my work.
Ooops, I forgot to do one of the additions.
With the correct numbers entered into the machine, I did a huge U-turn and went the opposite direction.
After a brief search at GZ I had it....finally.

I love holidays. They are so relaxing and allow me to do the things I want at my own pace. Today the pace was certainly sedate. It was a lovely day to be driving around the country side, and I savoured every single moment of it.

Here be serp..... whoa.... here be an amazing memorial to the Servicemen of the Snake Valley Districts. This was totally unexpected when we pulled into town. After collecting the information and doing the sums we were soon on our way to the next stage. However the church and memorial is still well impressed on my mind. A true reflection of the wealth that farming in the district has generated in the past. Thank you for giving me the excuse to come out here and see it all with my own eyes. Oh and we found the cache too All is well with the cache and logbook. TFTC Maccamob!
Great spot.
Found with Kenare,Kenare junior,Kenare bro,Newts943,mrs newts and two junior newts.
The weather was nice today no rain and sunny.

We had visited the War Memorial two days ago on our way back home, but didn't have time to find the cache at the time. Today we came back for it on our way to Ballarat. The War Memorial and the church opposite are certainly very impressive structures for what is now a relatively small town, but you can feel the vibe of its earlier days. There was not a soul around at GZ today, and we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. The cache was found fairly quickly and is in good condition. Thank you maccamob for bringing us to Snake Valley.
Out and about with Wozzle68 today picking up some Multi's including this one. Stopped and got our information and done our maths before heading off to GZ.
Thanks maccamob for another great hunt.

Thanks for a top multi maccamob! I really enjoyed looking around at the posted coordinates, this is slightly better than the average war memorial. After driving to the general area the cache was soon in hand and signed. The cache is in good condition with lots of room in the log.
We approached GZ great area. We worked out the coordinates. went for a drive. What a great area and location thank you for bring us to this great area. With the cache in hand very happy. TFTC

All good things come to an end and after almost three weeks on the road in our caravan it was time to head home! We made a little back track to the War Memorial and began the counting task. Well we did too much counting! Once we organised our figures, it was off towards GZ. Of course the caravan had to come with us, so we kept our fingers crossed that we could get back to the bitumen. Yes it all worked in the end - thanks for another fascinating resting place cache.
Thanks to maccamob for the hunt.

Out for a long afternoon drive with the geokids (ages 5 & 3) picking up some caches that are a little further from home. The afternoon included a FTF, a picnic lunch, some playground fun and an iced chocolate.
This was our last cache for the day. Loved looking at the township and there are some beautiful places about, especially opposite the memorial. With co-ords in hand we headed back the way we came in. Was a little skeptical of the track but my trusty car made it. Took us a little longer to find cache but thankfully we did. Thanks for bringing us here and in particular to the final location. I'm often amazed at all the fantastic locations that are on the outskirts of Ballarat. Cheers

Suscoe was out and about over this side of Ballarat today finding some caches that have been on the list for far too long.
Arriving at GZ suscoe was impressed with this memorial. so different to the many others around the various towns.
The calculations were done and off suscoe went.
A short while later suscoe headed off for a walk and sure enough the patiently waiting cache was found.
All quiet out here today as the log was signed.
Thanks to maccamob for yet another pleasant caching moment. A favourite from Suscoe.
Yes that church is stunning.

What a great multi that highlights an important part of our history. Way point 1 was a great tribute to our war heroes. After gathering the required info we made our way to GZ, where we were very pleased to find the cache. After such along time since its last find we are happy to report that it is in perfect order. We were caching today with Tomstache and McLookers. Thanks for the hide maccamob.
Thanks for the cache, cool multi. Found pretty easily. Good swaps. Thanks maccamob.
Caching late this afternoon with Glanville Girls and Tomstache, this was the first time we had been to this township. What a beautiful church opposite. The memorial area is lovely and the recent upgrade has made a interesting monument even more prominent. A real tribute to the community. After gathering the information, we made our way to GZ. After a short search, we found the cache in great condition. It was clean and dry and filled with terrific swaps. Thanks maccamob for highlighting another important piece of history.
Not sure what we were thinking attempting another maccamob multi! The war memorial was very special, although ashamedly we did have to count twice, more names seem to have appeared around the memorial so when counting Nunn's and Kelly's reaching a total of 25 we realised that we may not need to count every single plaque! And in true maccamob style the cache located "just a few km away" turned very much into a bush adventure. Glad we didn't take any wrong turns we found the cache, with container, swaps, camo and logbook all in very, very good condition. A favourite of ours because the journey is spectacular and we firmly believe Snake Valley is well represented with this cache! TFTC maccamob
Took jk gamblers out for a few caches in the area and stopped by this one for the first find of the day. Girls happy to have a find. Tftc
A good fun find. Accidentally took a wrong turn and had some fun. But eventually got there. Picked up trackables and deposited some fire safety advice. TFTC by the way loved the smell about, so Australian
Decided to attempt this cache as i was passing through the area, albeit rather gingerly due to the recent bushfire very close by. Fortunately neither the start point nor final location are affected, and there are no more road closures in the area although emergency vehicles are still about. Eastbound cachers arriving via the C296 highway will be treated to a forbidding landscape of blackened earth and trees, and sadly, the odd ruined house on both sides of the road. There was still a little smoke when I went through and lowered speed limits.
Edit: There is a little more wildlife activity on the roads than usual as they have likely been displaced by the fire or are travelling longer distances in search of food.
The cache itself is in excellent condition. Dropped off TB, took pathtag.

In the area for the Lake Goldsmith Steam Rally
another quick multi good to have some fun with one. Think we took the hardest way in to the site possible

Great multi more soon
As we were camped up the road for the night, we had to have a go at this being so close, quick to solve then took the Commodore on a short tour. The cache was easily gained, no other activity in the area today.
Thans for a easy to work our multi,
Mark cringes when Gayle says it's a multi, but as this was the only one here, well we did it, and located a cache, we were in the area for the Lake Goldsmith 100th Steam Rally, which was a lot of tiring fun.
cheers

Couldn't help but think how this little town was so neat and tidy on my arrival at WP1. Very pleasing to the the eyes. Gathered the necessary info from first WP, did a double check, back into the car and set off for the final co-ords. On arrival at GZ the cache was spotted from 10 metres away sitting out in the open. No damage done to it, and bone dry inside. Not sure if the tree fellers have uncovered it while working close by, or animals or a mystery. It's hiding spot was pretty obvious, so it was returned there, and covered up with a some camo. Thanks for this one Maccamob, I'm familiar with a few of those surnames on the Memorial, I know a few people out this way, and no doubt, some of these were related. Thanks again, Lisa
