Great HideThanks ttrogg for the cacheJames0116Saturday, 12 Oct 202412:08:16PM ACDT4919
Nice afternoon walk. The road got a little soggy near GZ .. but quick find once we got there.TFTC
Out hiking the Onkeeta Trail so thought Id give this one another shot after failing earlier this year, turns out if Id steeped just a little further I wouldve found it! Beware of the ants! Got myself covered but still managed to sign. TFTC!
We paid attention for the knee deep sounds.Walked the last part of the track. A quick find. Tftc
In town with CaptainVimes for a work event (hers, not mine) and to find a few caches. I opted not to drive the hire car through that. Thanks for the cache ttrogg
Thankfully we didnt need to go knee deep to get the cache! We did find a cool trackable thought!
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Ttrogg [^]
Lovely walk to find this cache. Toddler swapped one thing and is a happy clamp. Great day out TFTC
Coordinates changed from:S 35 10.414 E 138 41.539Coordinates changed to:S 35 10.411 E 138 41.537Distance from original: 20.9 feet or 6.4 meters.A slight tweak to hopefully better coordinates.
Needed to do some maintenance near Meadows so made up a list of a dozen newish trads I could look for on the way to and from Knee Deep, Knee Deep. Added a puzzle, a multi and a letterbox that were just too close to where I was not to be looked for. This one was the reason for the drive down this way. Brought along a new, painted, container with a fresh log in a nice zip bag, hopefully this will help keep the log dry, as long as it is sealed correctly, please.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*
Quick find. Container was completely full of water so unable to log. Will send a photo as proof.-Thank you for maintaining and placing this cache! We really appreciate your effort!-TFTC ttrogg-Thanks for this Traditional and for letting me have the opportunity to find Knee Deep, Knee Deep-/ )/ // (......... (()TFTC (()....... Drove for a bit, then didn’t want to get the geo mobile muddy, so a short walk, and then a long reachSigned a wet log. Autumn leaves appearing at the drive way to adjoining property Tftc
We are finally able to travel interstate without heaps of loops to jump through. We thought we would take it easy and have a look around South Australia and grab a few more LGA's while we were here.
THis is one I will remember for a while we did drive through it.
Cahce was much easier
This was find number 10 for the day.

Made the detour down to this one, managed to almost drive to GZ just don’t be scared of the water. Cache is all good
Today I headed south to Clarendon, Kangarilla, Meadows and Prospect hill to find a few caches that were new from previous visits and ones I’d missed previously. Total of 33 finds for the day
Thanks for the cache

Mr Tardis had a lovely ride through the back roads on my motorbike and rode down here to find this one.
The cache name make sense after arriving close to GZ. After the recent rains there was a rather large puddle across the road.
How deep could it be?, so I rode through on the motorbike and managed to find some deep wheel ruts that I couldn't' see and it was more than knee deep on the bike. Fortunately I was going fast enough to plough through the soft mud and make it out the other side.
It's great to see this old cache still alive and well. A favourite point for a great location.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Team Jeckyl and Trogg.

Came down to check on cache condition. Decided to walk the last rough bit of road and was rewarded with a chorus of "Knee Deep, Knee Deep"s and quite a few bird calls.
But cache had been attacked by something that likes chewing plastic and no sign at all of a log. Replaced with something which I hope is a lot less palatable and hopefully fully waterproof.

Ventured down the track and made a quick find!!! Thanks Team Jeckyl for the hide!!
This afternoon I went out for a walk in the forest with jafaz62 & her doggo, Chewie...then came down this narrow track...managed to get within 40m of the cache...did not bother trying to drive across the creek...the cache was quickly located, signed & placed back as found...

Being on holidays allows me the time to go down roads less travelled and explore the area. I decided to not drive directly to the cache but walk the last 200 m. A nice walk and I am sure the snake was more scared of us they we were of it, in fact I think the geodog missed it completely. Cache container has been replaced.

On a beautiful November day supervising some wannabe hikers. A quick detour and easily found this much neglected cache. No lid, two damp logs and a few swaps. Unable to replace container, so left as I found it. Tftc
Found it whilst hiking along the trail. Cache container is in very bad shape with its contents saturated.

Today, I headed solo out for a combination of driveby and hiking geocaching, in an attempt to clear some of the Kuitpo area geocaches. It was a splendid day to be outside with a blue sky, sunshine, and freshness, so one didn't get too hot. Christmas Rush Mine was a great area to walk around, and an unexpected sight. Some more walks around Jupiter Creek Forest, before taking a detour past a few Mount Bold Reservoir viewing spots. An enjoyable bakery lunch was had at Meadows, and then I headed south through Prospect Hill, and partially completed a section of the January OTD series before it started going dark. A twisted ankle had me slow down in the late afternoon, but otherwise a nice day out.
This cache had been on my target list due to its age: An oldie 08/2003 hidden cache. I was going to leave this cache if it needed a long-distance walk/hike, but decided to see how far I could drive to GZ. I was amazed that the road kept going, and there was quite a bad section within 200 m of GZ. However, the small creek crossing right before GZ had me thinking it was probably ok to walk from here, and so I parked the Jeep roughly 50 m from GZ.
I made the short walk to GZ, and once I got there, I couldn't believe what I saw. I don't think I've seen a cache and its contents in worst condition. The container was completely brittle, and the container structure had lost all of its integrity. The logbook was practically unusable due to its ongoing water drenching. This cache definitely needs a maintenance run, and likely full replacement of everything. Thanks anyway Team Jeckyl for the cache placement; here is hoping that this oldie can survive into the future.

Nice little detour from the onkeeta trail. Seemed a nice spot to drop off a trackable. TFTC
Found nice and dry!
Parked at farmers gate, glad I did as rains have not helped the track, well in a 2WD, water still over track, I walked down stream to cross stream
Thanks for the hide.

Hiking though Kuipto Forest for a scout hike, and grabbed the cache after finding a way around the creek. Found with palya100. Tftc
The last part of the road was rather rough but was traversable in the Subie, and the "creek" could be interesting in the middle of winter. Cache found easily. Signed log, then went for an 11km hike along the Onkeeta track with the dogs - thoroughly recommended for a good hike - saw 2 deer as well. A great days outing
Decided to park on the opposite side of the puddle. Didn't like the look of the bit of road leading up towards it more than the looks of the puddle itself (in a 2WD car). A nice stroll for a couple of hundred metres and a quick find. TFTC. 26/03/2016, 14:00 Find #1852
About to get to gz but was a bit of water over rd. Hhhmmmm what do I do stop the car change to low ranger and have fun through it. Wouldn't recommend anyone with a 2wd. Much fun cheers
Decided not to drive through the puddle and instead walk around. A great hiding spot! TFTC!
Out for a days caching with Mattycat, found on dusk walked the last few meters to avoid the mud in the creek crossing TFTC Team Jeckyl
Out on the prowl for caches with the Froghoppins.
Getting dark as we approached, a short stroll and a nice quiet road.

Probably not the best day to attempt this one but plans are plans, so off we went.
Thunder, lightening intermittent very heavy showers, but hey it adds to the adventure.
Found this lovely sized cache after walking the last bit, not trusting the growing puddle along the track.
Thanks Team Jeckyl for the cache and the adventure. No animal or bird life around just a couple of crazy cachers. Haha.
Signed the log and replaced the cache safe and sound as found.

There was no way my brand new barina was going in that Creek. Walked it great cache
Found our first Cache!! Kids had a great fun. We have been picnicking here for years. Never knew. Swapped glow star for mint tin.
Had read the previous logs I was curious about this location.
As the road narrowed even further I decided to leave my station wagon near a family who were having a picnic
Feeling safer behind the fence I used a Kuipto entrance point to access an easier path to cross the water.
I heard the frogs before I discovered the huge body of water on the right [^]
Wow, what a beautiful patch of native bush
Found nifty cache hiding place and all I could hear was the occasion call of the neighbouring cows.
Thanks Team Jeckyl for bringing me here

Oh my word... I was very glad I had stopped the car at the last gate when I came round the corner to see the water feature ahead... Managed to shuffle past it on the bank,
The cache had a sleepy koala guarding it which I said hello to. On the way back I got distracted by what I thought was a spider on my jacket ( but was only the knot on the shoulder straps of my bag) when a HUGE black snake twisted itself up off the side of the track under my foot in it's panic to get away from me. I'm not sure who got the bigger fright...I'm getting too old for these kinds of scares!

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
Currently camped with our Caravan at Kuitpo. We left our Cat safely tucked up in the caravan and set off to explore. We took our geo bikes and tackled some caches on foot and some by bike trying to make the most of the nice fine winters day today.
Being in the GeoCruiser the 'very' large puddle we had to drive through was no problem. Then off to the cache. The highlight for us today was seeing a Koala sitting high in a tree right above this GeoCache. We did not see him but as we were replacing the log we noticed the cache had been found today and lucky for us 'greenshoots' had kindly written about the Koala in the logbook. So we returned the cache and had a look. There he was so back to the car to get the camera.

Shortest day of the year, had to cross a crocodile infested creek. I was observed by dozens of eyes, none of them human! After literally metres of hard slog I came upon the spot. What I really need are the arms of an orangutan. The cache was replaced within reach of mere mortals.
Nice spot on the edge of Kuitpo Forest TFTC .

I had to go to Macclesfield today to watch a netball final so decided to make a day of it and go caching on the way.
What a beautiful day for the last day of winter and a perfect day for a leisurely drive in the hills stopping off and admiring all the wonderful countryside looking its best bathed in sunshine...spring is here...yay, [^] [^] after the long wet winter we have just experienced.
As the road deteriorated I decided to park and walk, especially seeing a huge lake of water across the road in the distance. Had a nice stroll then came to the water which was flowing across the road. With only another 30 or so metres to GZ I surveyed the situation to work out how I was going to cross the water without going "knee deep" [?] [?] There was a small section of not very wide higher ground along the fence, so off I headed hoping I didn't lose my balance and go "knee deep"
Once across the water I was soon at GZ and found the cache, signed the log and replaced, then retraced my steps and back to the car. Thanks for the cache Team Jeckyl and for bringing me here.

Had to walk the last 100m since there was no way I was driving through that big water hole! Nice little place I never knew about though!
