We kayaked out to our old cache today to see how much things have changed. Our son never did get to collect the cache for us so thought we would collect what was left ourselves. What a surprise, the cache is in as new condition nothing spoiled, really hard to believe it has sat out here for nearly 9 years in the same container.

The first cordinate is inacessable now though so we will take a GPS and visit again and make the cache a regular.

Stay tuned.

cache removed by son - archived.

Finally! I have been trying to get back to this cache for ages. With my folks over visiting we decided to get some crabs and the chance to get this last leg of the cache came up. I also had to beat some keen new cachers from work that have started up.

Didnt have our bag of tricks with us so we couldnt drop anything into the box. The cache is in good condition and the kids liked the calculator.

Found first waypoint the easy way however to get to the final location time and tide was against us.

Next time we'll borrow a kayak.

Will be back

After being thrown a bad coordinate on the webpage (purposely), we drove around on the Burrup and found the location that the photos were taken from. We took the second location from the webpage also (this one was correct) and continued on to the cache. We decided to continue, since it looked ok and the tide was going out, so with Kathryn staying in the car (with the cb) I headed out across the mud flats in search of the cache. Newly written coordinates at the first point were found to be incorrect, so I searched for the original waypoint which was still in my GPS. Voila - there was the tree and the cleft in the photo, and another FTF for Team Red Roo. T: a couple of postcards and Elvis, L: a calculator (still in the package, but works ok). The walk across and back took me 75 minutes but was relatively easy. Use some old shoes though - mine werea and went straight into the bin when we got back that night. Thanks to Sue and Ian for a really interesting cache with a difference.

We kayaked over to the cache and its still there and waiting!! It should be a lot easier now that we have re-written the co-ords onto the first marker. The correct starting co-ords are now listed in the description section for those who dont recognize the photos.

The clues are correct!! They just look wrong - I should probably have added some comors.

PS. A new travel bug will be released in this cache soon. Probably this weekend!! 7 - aug - 04

Hi all,

Thought i would start with this one this morning. I did know where I was looking but as per Lyn, Pat and Nathan ,the help co-ordinates are wrong. When i got to the first marker, the numbers are almost rubbed off. I didnt get to the cache just yet as the tides were all wrong and i am not getting stuck but I am going to get that travel bug!!!!

I was aiming to get back in the afternoon but got caught up with some of the other caches!!

I will check the co-ordinates at the 1st marker when i go back and fix them up if they are not done yet (if you have time Team Pathfinder)

Hi Sue we have returned from Singapore and are just tidying up all the missed and errors we had or things that just stumped us while up there. We had no idea of the place in the photo so we had to cheat. We used the coodinates you have written on the cache page and we think you mean S20.36.047 E116.47.244 That pointed to a very big hill made of rock out near Burrup road. We wernt sure if you have the figures right so we decided it was best to just do the other caches in the area and check with you guys to make sure we were going to climb the right hill when we next get up that part of the world. Even though we climbed most hills around Karatha we didnt feel like doing that one on a hunch.

did a quick check and the cache is still in place and waiting to be found!!!

Dropped off a traveller for incentive.

Jonjaben (Molly) has decided that this is a good spot for a bit of a rest.
