Another ex-cache gone to join the choir invisible...

01-Apr-08
Another cache bought me to this park without any luck so I thought I'd give this a go rather than going home empty handed. Unfortunately, I had no luck with this one either and after doing a bit of an Alice in Wonderland down a rabbit hole I gave up.
Will try again when I have company and when not already frustrated.
The vegetation is looking a little sparse due to drought.

29-Mar-08
After exhaustive searching aided and abetted by "THE WILSONS", the cache remained elusive if indeed present. A couple of GPSrs agreed that GZ was bereft of appropriate content. The long drought had reduced vegetative cover and only remnant material remained around possible locations within a 5m radius.

14-Jan-08
Took L Plater Squalid Teen for some driving practice and went on the hunt. Found the cache without too much trouble, although flies were bothersome. Took TB Puss in Boots, left Shell fridge magnet. TFTC

04-Dec-07
Found this one on the way home from work.

22-Sep-07
"Rumpletweezer ran the Dinky Tinky shop in the foot of the magic oak tree by the wobbly dum dum bush in the shade of the magic glade down in Dingley Dell." Sounds far far far away enough to drop off the Puss In Boots TB I ended up with at the Meet-n-Greet event today.

This has been no so much a nemisis cache, but an "about time I got around to it cache" - all it's trad neighbours I did about 2 years ago, just never got around to driving back in this direction again.

A nice stroll. TFTC. Left Puss In Boots TB

21-Sep-07
Found it today at around 13:40pm. This was my 3rd find for geocache and it was very easy.

05-Sep-07
Took the opportunity to search for this one after finishing work early nearby. Must say it is an excellent peice of bushland in amongst all the suburbs. Unfortuntely I didn`t find it after searching for almost half an hour, not only did I not want to trample too much of the vegetation, but I wasn`t prepared to be sticking my hand into long grass on such a warm day. There were also some close calls of being seen by pushbike riders which suddenly came from nowhere.
Thanks for bringing me to this part of Melbourne anyway. Cheers.

12-Aug-07
After a quick find of a nearby cache i convinced Mrs LIVERPOOLRED that we should just pop in for another quick cache as it was on the way home .
After a brief stroll & search the cache was ours Smile

25-Jul-07
Found!

Took: Koala
Left: Parachute dude!

No snakes today!

21-Jul-07
Took my 2yo on his second GC hunt. He lost a red super ball near the bridge. If any one finds it, maybe add it to this cache.
As others have said, lovely walk, and excelent coordinates.

Left a keyring torch
Took a green plastic car
Thanks

13-Jul-07
Found this great cache on my way to the peninsula for the weekend. Nice walk and a great bush experience in the suburbs. Thanks for the cache. TNLN

01-May-07
A quick stroll to clear my head on the way from one meeting to the next. Lovely cache in a lovely park. Thanks guys.

24-Feb-07
This one's been on our list for a while now, but every time we chicken out. It turns out the hardest part about starting this cache is the car parking arrangements.

Once on our way, this was a most enjoyable walk. Enjoyable enough it seems for us to formulate a plan to lose the kids for a few days & make an attempt on GCPA8G.

Whilst trying to find the GZ, we came across the adorable little lizard, only to realise that we SHOULD have brought at least one of the four cameras!!!

TNLN.

Thanks GeoJo & Lucy Diamond for the most enjoyable outing.

14-Jan-07
Found by Pickupfamily plus Nana, 1310hrs after a pleasant walk following a pleasant BBQ in the park. Pickupfamily Son had his FIRST birthday party in this park and we had not been back for eight years since. The find was easier than we had expected. Took TB "Princess diary", although it's actually a toy motorbike, not the picture on the TB page, not sure what has gone wrong?? TNLN otherwise. TFTC GeoJo and Lucy Diamond.

25-Dec-06
The rain stopped just long enough for us to have a great Christmas Day walk exploring this great park. The Coordinates put us right on top of this one and we found it very quickly. Took Simpsons figure and left a TB that we've been carrying around with us way too long (sorry!). We had brought it with us from Vancouver on a tour of Europe but so many of the city geocaches in Europe were microcaches that we never managed to drop it off. Merry Christmas!!

16-Dec-06
We spent a while trying to find this one, thought it would be a bit more obvious until my 5 year old daughter called "Here it is". She was quite excited as this was her first find.

Left a fridge magnet and took small pop-up book.

10-Dec-06
Found at 11:45am while walking on AWG Bushwalk 60 on a very hot Sunday. So hot we even abandoned the after walk BBQ in favour of an air-conditioned pub.

Took golf tees and TB Tiggy the Tigger
Left Simpsons figure
thanks GeoJo & Lucy Diamond

08-Dec-06
Found in between watching volleyball matches at Springers for Australian schools National championships. Nice bit of bush in the urban jungle of melbourne. took occy strap and left golf tees. TFTC

04-Dec-06
Found @ 4:25 pm. What a nice cache to finish the day off with.
Stinking hot afternoon, fighting off a million and one flys and hidding from just as many mugglers. What more could a person want?
Had to call a friend (scooters mob) as there was no way that I was going to stick around and get bitten by spiders and snakes.Sad
TNLN SL TFTC.

30-Nov-06
We parked in the first car park and then walked the 800m to GZ.
It is 32 degrees today and the air is hot and dry.
Maybe we should have parked closer.
Once near GZ we see a lot of signs indicating 'No Fishng'

We think there is no fishing because there is no water.

Still lots of rabbits around. Seems the lack of water has not bothered them yet.

Found the cache - no problems.

TNLN

Walked back to the car and checked the map. Gee - we could have parked a lot closer.

Thanks for the cache.

29-Oct-06
Found at 2pm. The park was quiet so we could search without interuption. Thankyou. TNLN SL

23-Sep-06
found with daughter and GF on a wonderfully nice afternoon.

was my second attempt to find this cache, the last time it had been very dark, and apparently my gps was off about 10m...

10-Sep-06
Rabbits, rabbits everywhere. I thought the "mixso" got rid of them all, but here in Rumpletweezer land they are everywhere. We were almost tripping over rabbits. Another pleasant walk in a park that we have driven past many times but not ventured inside. Thanks for taking us there. We also did not see any rangers either although the muggle bike riders were a problem. We arrived at GZ just as a group of bike riders appeared out of nowhere, so we ducked behind some bushes. On no… the track curls back again and we were fully exposed!!!

In between riders we logged the cache and then we mixed with the hoi polloi and casually strolled back to the cachemobile.

Logged @ 1330hrs.

In tortoise key ring.
Out koala

Thanks to GeoJo and Lucy Diamond.

Ps Make sure you do not drive in the "Out Gate" because you will end up with spiked tyres.

02-Sep-06
Well and truely muggled by a couple of cyclists who came zooming by, then returned moments later to ask if I was looking for anything? "Just looking for wildlife, frogs or lizards in a hollow log for a photo opportunity " said I. One cyclist, now disclosed as an off duty park ranger, informed me that I needed a permit to look in hollow logs as that was disturbing the wildlife. Aparently park rangers need a special permit to use spotlights at night too! What has the world come to?

17-Aug-06
A bit of a walk in to this one but I don't mind that. Wasn't so sure when I found out I could have parked a whole lot closer! Never mind - I enjoyed the exercise. Was worried from previous postings about how hard it might be but the new coords appear to be good as it only took a few minutes to find the good cacher's hide. Took dinosour, left koala. Thanks GeoJo & Lucy Diamond for the walk and the cache.

12-Aug-06
We were cruising past (again) and TomTom went BONG to let us know that there was a cache within 1km Big Grin. Ah, the good ol' Rumpletweezer who taunts us. So we thought "why not?" and headed in yet again to tackle the beastie. We saw some HUGE rabbits with sharp pointy fangs. We used the new co-ords and they were spot on...a few metres away from where we concentrated our search efforts before and came up with the goods pretty quickly. T: Dog L: Koala. Thanks again and it's in good shape.

Took a nice walk on a Sunday afternoon through this lovely park with our niece and nephew. Found the cache using new co-ords.
Took: car and rubber ducky
Left: dog with bone and farm pops book

30-Jul-06
Found this cache at 4.30pm with Jaky Dory & Geogundog.
Thanks for a good find.
Didn't swap anything.
But enjoyed the playground in the park!

30-Jul-06
Found by Bob at 1305

I think I could have parked my motorbike much closer than I did, but it was a nice walk through some great bush the way I went (straight in from Lwr Dandenong Rd). As with the other cache in this park, it's prime snake country so I was glad of the protection that winter motorcycle gear affords Wink. I too used Eric's coords and found the cache without trouble.

TNLN

Thanks GeoJo and Lucy Diamond - these types of cache are my favourites Smile.

30-Jul-06
Co-ords are within a couple of meters of original, but will update anyway!

14-Jul-06
Attempted this one for 45 mins in the heat last Nov'but came up zip then ! Today tried "acts 2" 's co-ords and what a difference a few metres made ,in fact was visible as on the approach. How did we miss this last time ??Logged the find at 4.00pm,great walk again thru the tracks and re-hid the cache out of view in its spot !TNLN and thanks for the exciting park walk ,this area is always a favourite for us .

15-Jun-06
Found at 12:50 with The Secret Seven. Looking everywhere searching under this and in that when Rusty say I can't see it anywhere and I'm hungry. He was standing directly in top of it. TNLNSL. TFTC and interesting Park must bring the rest of the mob with me for a picnic someday.

03-Jun-06
We spent ages looking and did not find. We were really looking forward to finding something in this park and it was nice to go to a part of this park we'd never been to before. We got to the posted co-ordinates...which we're not too happy about thrashing around in the bush and some muggles came past and asked what mini-BackPAQer had found - Mrs BackPAQer quickly replied "A Cubby" and they were happy with that. Looking around there are millions of places to hide a cache and now we read thru the logs and hear about SNAKES! lovely. And Acts2's new co-ordinates did not show up on my 5 log history so I only had what's listed at the top of the page [:-(]

22-May-06
Found at 3:22pm. Accompanied by the GeoMrs as navigator and scribe.
Last find out of for the day on our usual weekly outing. We decided that this one was going to be our last one for the day as the sky was begining to get a nasty shade of gray. I'm glad we took the time, I got to see the most colorefull birdife I've ever seen. Found the cache quite easyly using acts2youthgroup co-ords. What a lovely park.
In: duck, Out: green worm, Signed Log.
Thanx GeoJo & Lucy Diamond.....Big Grin

17-Apr-06
Found with SatyricTim and DonkeyBottomBiter. I was actually the first to spot where this was hidden! Yay me!

Great location, a scenic and fun find.

The log book was full so we replaced it.

17-Apr-06
Found in failing light with Sarahg and Donkeybottombiter. Still, the weather was good and the park was very nice. We had a strange collection of 3 GPSr's that for various reasons all had minor problems. I got a rough GZ and Sarah's cache senses very quicky zeroed in from there.

Took: skateboard.
Left: elephant. (yes it fitted in the container!)

Thanks GeoJo!

17-Apr-06
Found in the company of SatyricTim and Sarahg. My GPS battery had gone flat, so I just followed. It is indeed a great park, although seekers after this cache should beware of bull-ants, if inclined to sit on the ground.

Finally found the cache! First for the day!
Took : Sticker
Left: Orange Car
Thanks!!

NICE PARK HAD PICNIC TEA THEN OFF ON A WALK .FOUND CACHE OK

27-Jan-06
Found at 17:15 my first for the afternoon, on what can only be described as Acts2 goes AWOL for the evening. This was my third visit to this cache location and one I was not looking forward to, on one of my previous trips I had a close encounter with a snake. As I approached the familiar spot I could not believe my eyes the cache was just sitting out in the open. I notified Geojo and re-hid the cache at S37° 59.715 E145° 07.818. Thanks for the cache.

25-Nov-05

15-Oct-05
Took a bit of searching but finally spotted it. Then when I was about to retrieve along comes a group on tour of the park, checking out all the flaura & fauna. mmm move on I say to myself as they dawdle along. Then comes the family go slow. frustraaaaating. It's there I want it. 15 minutes later cache in hand. TNLN. Must make note to self to mark waypoint of car when I start off in some of these parks. I should've learnt by now but it took me another 20 minutes to get back to the car - the long way.

14-Sep-05

22-Jul-05
This is the second time we went looking for this one. First time we ran out of time (and light) and were also starting to search the wider area. Today we had the best fix possible but still the cache eluded us - for a while.
Got it. Thanks.
TNLN

10-Jul-05
SECOND VISIT TO THIS SITE, BUT FAILED TO FIND IT. SEARCHED FOR 30 MIN. BUT NO SIGN OF IT.

03-Jul-05
Found at 4:15PM

At last and the 6th time I have re visted this small neck of the woods to try to claim the cache. But even though I found it this time I had many problems finding it, I arrived with not a muggle in sight and not even a sound, only 2 minutes later a huge group of disabled people came hurdling along the path, and I had to sit there and wait for them to pass. They took there time and stopped nearly every metre to look at something before moving on. 3 Minutes after they were out of sight 3 kids on their BMX's decided to race each other on the paths around GZ. Until they noticed they were being watched, freaked out and moved on. Then a couple with a pram, and more and more muggles. After 30 minute I finally had some peace, GZ was putting me into some bushes, but this time I decided on shoving the GPSr in my pocket and using a long stick, 5 minutes later, clonk... Whaa, I look and there it is, and in a place I would have walked by a few times too. A sneaky hide, thanks for the cache from M.B

TNLNSL.

21-May-05
We arrived at Dusk and ran out of time. Beautiful location but leaving to go home on Sunday! OH WELL.................

24-Apr-05
Looked for a while for this one but DNF. Ran out of time so will return later.

21-Apr-05
Good to see the cache is still in place, i shall return once i think the snakes have gone back to bed. Hope the snake does not bed down with the cache. two sightings in the same spot on different days is not a good sign, snakes are very territorial, this one was not just passing through.

20-Apr-05
Returned after news that the cache was still there. Widened my search considerably, a little outside the error that the GPS was suggesting. Maybe the other DNF's might like to lower the latitude a little. Smile
Took: Boomerang, Left: Lizard.
Thanks, Robmc.

17-Apr-05
FOUND CACHE THIS AFTERNOON, IT IS STILL THERE, BOX IS GETTING FAIRLY FULL. INTERESTING LOCATION, AND FAIRLY POPULAR. HAD TO WAIT A WHILE TILL WALKERS PASSED.

17-Apr-05
Well it was a nice day for a walk and this cache is very close to home...The cache is still in place although the grass is a bit longer now than when I first found it back in January.

17-Apr-05
Seems like the other teams will need to look a bit harder to find this one!

16-Apr-05
3 no finds does not sound promising. I will ask Lucy Diamond to check on the status of this cache.

15-Apr-05
Had a very nice stroll around this park, unfortunately I did not find anything at GZ, although having a relatively uninterrupted search (no snakes that I saw). Decrypted the clue, but it was no use (..With a Melon???). Is it still there?

22-Mar-05
There is another cache in this park called sedeath, I almost had death by snake looking for this one 500mm is to close. The grass here is out of control so after having a scare I gave it away, will return in winter I hope the snake does not go to sleep with the cache.

20-Mar-05
Tried to locate for the 5th time..

Hmm this is the 2nd closest cache to home I just have never had any luck with. Either it be the weather, muggles or having spiders all over the place.. Today I was unlucky once again..

I got to GZ. It was all quiet you could hear a mouse fart. So I started my search once again. Then 3 minutes later, People on bikes, many people on foot ( i think they were all together). Some stupid person walking a dog which is totally banned from here, without a leash might I add. I waited and waited. But more and more muggles... Finally there was no more. I started looking again and felt a sudden pain on my ankle.. I look down and see I had disturbed a nasty bull ant nest.. So I quicly killed them off and moved away from them..

More muggles came by, so out I hopped.. When they left I went back in and when I crouched down again. I heard a noise behind me.. This time it was not a possum, rat or lizard.. It was a brown grass snake, i could see the tail within the grass.. So once again I pulled out, this time to save my butt from being bitten..

I think I need a good clue for this one as I'm about to stick this one in my Skulls and Bones folder..

Thanks anyways from M.B

06-Feb-05
What a magnificent park, and so big. Had heard of it but never visited. Quite late in the day but still quite a number of people around. I seemed to spend more time hiding than searching. What a lot of RABBITS and burrows. Saw the most amazing spider as I searched. Very small, very spikey, and very colourful. Also an interesting looking lizard, certainly not your every day skink.
Thanks GeoJo & Lucy Diamond for bringing me here.

29-Jan-05
Its still raining and starting to think we should have brought the waterproof housing for the camera. Rabbits everywhere you look.
Found the cache sitting in the open on a log so after doing the cache stuff placed it under the same log out of sight.

28-Jan-05
Found at 15.30. Rainy day so park was virtually deserted. Didnt stop the flies though!! Smile Took bolt, left Qantas lapel pin. Thanks Geojo Lucy Diamond, great spot.

24-Jan-05
What a beautiful park, this was a really good cache for our family to find. We saw a Kookaburra and many other beautiful and colourful birds and we also spotted lots of rabbits. With much excitement we soon had the cache in hand at 6.50pm. 7yo chef recieved a bull ant bite and made sure the rest of the team knew about it. Took compass. Left Bear. This park would also be excellent for family picnics. Thank heaps GeoJo and Lucy Diamond.

Nice trail. Lots of flies today which had overwhelmed the mozzie population.
T: slinky
L: smiley stamp

Thanks!

24-Dec-04
Found at 17:00 with Shimachic.

After a short walk through the park we had the cache in hand. Not many people around, so didn't need to be too discreet.

Picked up quite a few winged hitchikers along the way - the flies were almost unbearable. Must remember to add the Aerogard to our geocaching kit...

Took : Frog
Left : Slinky

17-Dec-04
Found this cache - the second for the day. Visiting from Central Queensland where caches are far apart. Beaut day, great park area. Took post-its - we've been needing some of these to mark pages in map books during our travels. Left a frog we got from a cache in Tassie. Also a carabiner to link us with al geocachers.

Thanks to GeoJo and Lucy Diamond - Lex.

22-Oct-04
Found at 10:22hrs... But I arrived close to the GZ much sooner... For a Friday morning it was darn busy!!! I waited a good 15 mins for the crowd to dissappear. The area of the hiding place was easy to locate.

The grass held foot prints so it was a fair guess someone had visited recently. Seeing the logs when I got home I see it was yesterday.

In: Bungie Strap
Out: Sewing Kit

21-Oct-04
Found at 17:15 today with caching buddy Lena. After searching for 20 mins or so I was starting to think I was in the wrong spot, put the GPSr down for 5 mins and turns out I was.. Saw heaps of bunnies and gave some blood for the mozzie cause. All in all a wonderful day for caching Smile.
Took nothing Left glo-worm
Thanks GeoJo and Lucy Diamond for a fun walk and top location.

29-Sep-04
Found at 1.15pm while on my lunchtime walk - I have once again decided that I must get out of the office from time to time and now that it is getting warmer it is a lot easier to do. A lovely park saw lots of rabbits and also found those same mozzies that plagued us at the Line of Sight series area.
Took: Super glue
Left: Post it notes.
Thanks GeoJo & Lucy Diamond - great spot.

19-Sep-04
17:54 Loonster and I found this one visible from several meters away and open. We checked it out everything seemed ok. After signing the log book and packing up the cache we noticed one of the clips was not locking in tightly. It would be worth replacing the container soon. A nice evening out. We had to make a move for SEDeath before sun down. Thanks GeoJo and Lucy Diamond.

19-Sep-04
Found at 17:54 with sikma, had a few muggles to look out for but not to worry. Nice tracks around here must bring the bike back!

26-Aug-04
This was my second Cache of the day - And second ever - after a longish search managed to find it - think I may have seen some lost geocachers on the way - took nothing, left nothing, just signed log - thanks for a fun trip

31-Jul-04
Found 12:50pm by Facitman and Rhinogeo, 3rd for the day.
Have played golf next door but never ventured into this park. Entered at wrong end of the park and quickly realised our mistake, missed the opportunity to checkout a toilet seat! (refer to our next find) Once correct entrance used we parked and enjoyed a nice stroll to GZ and a straightforward find.
Relieved cache of Reflector and left Dinosaur Toy and mini-Water Balloons.

31-Jul-04
Found on 31/07/04 at 1250 AEST. 3rd of 7 for the day with Facitman. We initially approached this one from the wrong direction and it looked like we had a >1km walk ahead of us. A quick check of the Melways led us to the correct entrance and a pleasant walk resulted in a relatively quick find.

22-Jul-04
I remember this sketch from when I was a mad python fan about 25 years ago. I even remembered the sorts of things that Rumpletweezer sold in the shop. Fortunately none of those things were to be found in the cache SurprisedBig Grin
The cache was in hand after just a few minutes thinking about the most likely place for it to be stashed.
I couldn't believe the number of people who walked by while I was trying to write in the log. I'm pretty sure they thought I was making notes about birds and plants as I took many pictures of non-cache things while they were approaching.
I took a Ball and a Cowboy.
I left a Strechy Lizard and a Paratrooper.
I also left a print out of the other parts of the story as told by 'Uncle Dennis'. I'm thankful I didn't meet him out here.
A very nice cache location, thanks to GeoJo and Lucy Diamond.

04-Jul-04
Found this one quite easily at 17:30 in the failing light in the company of the DiGs, who could easily become converts to the whole Caching thing. A busy cache today with another find some 3 hours earlier.

Swapped a coloured rubber ball (in) for a packet of bangles (out). A nice little cache. Thanks GeoJo & Lucy Diamond.

PS: I knew the the origin of the quote, but I have no idea of what its relevance is Red Face.

04-Jul-04
Found by Stuart of the sbalogh53 team at 14:40 on the 4th of July. This is a really neat area. Reminds me of the countryside way out of Melbourne.
Took: Clay frog
Put: Mondo cowboy and red plastic light filter

In the failing light of the day Mr.Coffee and family along with Da Bugs found Rumpletweezer. The only clues I could think about from Monty Python was the Lumberjack and the Shubbery from the holy grail, anyway these thoughts paid off with the imortal words "found it".
Thanks GeoJo and Lucy Diamond and thanks Da Bugs for a fun afternoon
Taken- ocky strap
Left- pencil sharpener, bangles, aussie flag stickers.
Regards Mr.Coffee and family.

27-Jun-04
Our last cache for the afternoon in the company of Team Coffee.
With darkness falling and Mr Coffee the only one with a torch he had an unfair advantage Wink and beat everyone to this cache location even though we were all looking in the same area.
I think hypothermia has set in at this point and I can't remember what we took and left.
Thanks GeoJo & Lucy Diamond for your Rumpletweezer cache and also "Team Coffee" it's been a fun afternoon with great company, All of us at Team Da Bugs have had a great time.
Regards Andrew "da big bug"

08-Jun-04
Found at 7:30pm on a mild winter night. Took a little while to find, the torch was not very good. Cache in good condition.

Took nothing, left nothing.

thanks again guys

25-Apr-04
Found at 1535hrs.
Evil_Hitman, BeccaJ and myself.
As mentioned, we took the insulation tape, and left a mini manicure set.

Thanks

25-Apr-04
Found with Evil_Hitman and Em_Eagle. We had just found SEDeath and realised that this one wasn't too far away.

Liked the clue but couldn't remember the sketch...will have to look up some of my old videos.

Took the insulation tape (my other tape got 'borrowed' by sibling and I haven't seen it since) and left a mini manicure set.

New Sport - Caching in the Dark. The family got a late hankering to go for a cache after dinner and we arrived at the park right on sunset. By the time we walked & found, it was 9:00pm and dark. (Thank goodness for young H's idea to bring torches) Nice spot though. Must visit in the daylight one day.
Thanks from D,H,K,H & A B-A
Took rose scented wash towels.
Left 2 rolls electrcal tape.

The park was thoroughly deserted when we got there, everyone must be off elsewhere for the Australia Day weekend. Found the cache after a short search, but didn't take or add anything. Thanks GeoJo and Lucy Diamond Smile

Found at 7:15pm, with GZ being spot on. On the way to the cache I passed a few walkers who were polite making the experience in the park better. There was also a fun run /power walk competition being run while I was there. A few marched past me on the way out and I drove past others. Seeing their cups of drinks ready and waiting on a table to the side, as in a real run, I wondered if I would be elligable for one - I restrained myself.
Swapped pull string crackers for a rope adjusting thing. Thanks GeoJo and Lucy Diamond for a nice walk in the park just before sunset.

We started out intending on finding SEDeath before Vombatus, but in my haste I set the goto to the wrong icon in the GPS. As we got within 40m we realised something was wrong and discovered my error. We decided to have a go anyway without the paper work hoping it was not a multi. The cache was quickly discovered by No3 after a very brief search.
Took Golf Ball
Left Pull strings
Thanks for the Cache and a great walk GeoJo and Lucy Diamond {at least now we have faces for the names, keep up the good work}
Now onto the real SEDeath.

An enjoyable stroll on a lovely night. Located the general area relatively easily, despite erratic mood swings by the GPSr.

Spent about 15 minutes searching. Took nothing; left a sewing kit.

Advice for future searchers: look out for rabbit holes hidden by the long grass; it would be quite easy to sprain/break an ankle.

No exchange

We didn't have any directions other than maccmob and geojo plugging in some coordinates and saying off you go... we found the general area fairly quickly and then set off the beaten track to try and find it. Tania found it very quickly with a bit of a hint from MaccaDad to the general area!!!
took nothing left nothing (unprepared for first day) Smile

Found at 5:25pm, after a short search. I was in the general area for well over half an hour before making the final approach - taking photos so as to not look too suspiscious to the occasional people walking by Wink
I saw some interesting wildlife (no mosquitoes, but lots of tiny rabbits) and had a great time. Took flower seeds, and left a golf ball.
Thanks to GeoJo & Lucy Diamond for this great cache!

We visited this park a few years ago in our pre-caching days. It was nice to revisit it. Cache was very well hidden.

Took tyre gauge, left seeds.

Thanks GeoJo & Lucy Diamond

As we got near ground zero, the 2 tadpoles raced ahead with the yellow devil etrex, leaving Mummy and Daddy Frogger bringing up the rear with the cool blue etrex. The head start was not enough, tho, as the cache was found by Daddy Frogger, because (unlike the 2 female tadpoles) he was not afraid to get a bit of dirt under his fingernails. Took Post-its , left rose soap paper.
Thanx for the cache

Found pretty easily after a bit of scrubbing around and a GPS restart. Never seen so many mozzies. Left a tyre pressure gauge and took a yo-yo. Tony and John.

Greg found this one solo while Bev was spending up big at the Caulfield craft fair. It was a lovely sunny spring day, just right for a walk in this interesting park. Cache was found in good condition after a short search. Nothing exchanged. Greg and Bev
