Muggled! Given the notoriety that this otherwise interesting park is gaining, we won't be replacing it.
Team BAPHA was right on top of this (within one metre) but this location is really creepy and smells like death, so we decided to bail out on it. Lots of trolling by lonely men. We were glad to be a search team of three. Yikes. We recommend relocating the cache to a safer and less creepy site. No offense intended.

Thought this would be an easy find when I approached GZ but couldn't find it.
The obvious spot looks raided... will try it again with more spotters.

DNF. A lot of older single men sitting in cars and wandering around in this park, when I got home and googled it turns out this is a gay meeting place. Keep this in mind, we didn't feel entirely comfortable when we were there (in daylight) - felt a little seedy.
Umm.. Seems to be the cruising ground for older males seeking alternative pleasures to geocaching.
Didn't spend much time with my head in the bushes.
DNF.
The tiger snake warning signs is something you’ll never see in NZ, and as this is our first time geocaching in Australia, it was a little disturbing but it didn’t stop us from heading for the cache. Was expecting a NZ style hide and so instinctively we searched in all the wrong areas! Probably wasn't a good approach considering the snake warnings but fortunately it’s winter. Turned out, the cache was much easier to find than expected. A really nice area at GZ. The sun was in the right position in the sky making for some picturesque photos. Thanks maccamob for bringing us here.
Decided to do go for a walk near where Jeanette lives. Found by Jeanette at 11.20.

Out and about very early with sister in tow for introduction to geocaching. She is going great and even found the first cace for the day. I was really trying to put to rest those long oustanding, half done mystery caches. This one happen to be on the way and glad of it. Drive past this way so often and its good to have a proper look round. Left coin.
09.15am.I left our hotel early in the hire car for my second days caching on my own around melbourne, from spring street to the big bridge it was solid traffic all the way,so frustrating as i wanted to get walking.i then missed the todd road turn off and went over the massive bridge, eventually turned round and went back over it,got to boeings, then missed the park entrance, what a great start eh? it was so good to get out of the car and go for a walk in this interesting park.lots of different waterbirds here but the water looks a bit low, what an oasis here,i liked this area and you get a good view of the big bridge i went over twice! arrived at gz to think what could be lurking here, but the lure of a cache overcame my fears, this first cache of the day felt good.a neat little hide, soon found due to excellent co-ords thanks for identifying this cache for me Maccamob.left a pathtag,sltn.patandjeff=bones1.
A nice little park - must be even nicer when the water levels are a bit higher in the lakes. Very interesting to see the bridge up close. The section of bridge placed in the park for use as a lookout s great too.
Thanks maccamob

I hadn't been to this park in a while, so thanks for drawing me back there. It certainly pongs down by the "water" at the moment though. I assume it's got something to do with the lake drying out, but it smells a bit like a couple of volcanoes I've been to in Indonesia. It's a nice spot to watch the sun go down, as a few were doing.
Found after work, very slow out bounded down to 40kph, thought i'ld do a couple and let the traffic die down.Thanks.
So dry here (where isn't it dry though).

I was followed both on my walk halfway towards the cache and halfway back to the car by two different men. I think the toilet block near the carpark is a bit of a haunt for men to "meet" each other. Just keep an eye out if you see single men acting strange around the vicinity of the toilet block.

Thanks for the cache.
The cache was all wet today, and some of the stuff was getting a mildew build up. I emptied it all out and dried it as best I could. Because it was hot, most stuff dried out a bit, but the log book was still very wet and I couldn't wait any longer.
Found this one today with the Geo_Ferret. He was on the push bike and I was on foot.
I have been to this park quite a few times. Whilst it always suffers from constant traffic and industry noise and always has a salt marsh smell, I find it to be an interesting and peaceful place. I'd quite to like to bring my bike and explore all the paths.
It was a quick find on a hot day.
The cache was very wet and mouldy, so I'll log and needs maintenance log also.

Roundcircle beat me to the maintenance log. I did enjoy the sites of the area although the smell wasn't nearly as nice what I experienced at Danny Boy today. I don't know whether that should have a happy or smiley emoticon. The park was getting a fair bit of use from cyclists today, it was lovely weather for it.

What an interesting place! If you look at it on a map, or even Google Earth, you think it's quite flat - a typical urban wetland, but once you get there it's quite a maze of trails and tracks amongst those low mounds/hills with interesting ponds and bird havens distributed throughout. The cache was a nice, easy find and only my 10th by maccamob (I'll have to venture out west, I guess ).

What a terrific park. I came downj Lorimer street on the bus and walked around the long way but the weather was beautiful and I found the cache easily. Then I heard this grumbling and thought it was a frog enjoying his rehabilitated surroundings - but then again - it could have been my stomach!

We've always wanted an excuse to get into this park. Wharf road got us within 160m of the GZ, but no likely place to park, so we went around to the front and went for the nice stroll instead...which is the right option I think. No-one around and a clean grab...

Raskal3 & I had a pleasant walk through the park to the GZ around 18:00. I'd taken note of richary's warning about the local resident, and sure enough, when I very gingerly retrieved the cache container there was a big black creepy spider on it . What trip to Melbourne would be complete without finding at least 1 Maccamob cache? A short stroll after the last job for the day was in order and it was fairly quickly located. Unluckily I had left my pen in the car and the pencil was broken, so had to settle for leaving a business card in the cache as proof of my visit. Finders beware of the large spider that had taken up residence behind! TNLN, thanks maccamob.

Cache thirty six of seventy seven for the day: in what we called The Big Assault eighteen hours of none stop caching.
This was the longest walk for the day, but well worth it. I was impressed about the earth sculptures; this would be a great one for Dak to do another yes but is it art cache.
I loved the view of the bridge. Near GZ there was a pair of swans with four signets. Thanks you have been assaulted.

Found whilst running. Did not write in the log. Cool container! This was my first effort, and I am going to need to get organised with a small pen and a token. I am planning to run to caches at various distances from my home or work location. Certainly gives a small purpose to a long run atleast and makes sure I don't take any short cuts! Thanks for placing a 'witches hat' in a great location to designate my turn-around!
