This cache was in a flood prone area. We will re-establish another somewhere safer, thanks to all that visited it! SARD0G
In light of the recent flooding in this area and the two not founds, I'm temporarily disabling this cache until the owners have a chance to check on it.
GPS put me in the middle of the river, so I quickly abandoned the unit. Knee high grass is now flattened - hard to think the flood waters would have come up this high. Hopefuly the cache is still ok, although I couldn't find it.

No luck with this one - I think I found the place where it should have been based on the clues but nothing was there. A beautiful spot to visit though traffic was heavy with the current closure of the gorge road.

Found this one reasonably easily, kepy losing the GPS reading so had to pesevere, had a bbq and went for a swim nice spot, unfortunately lost a watch in the water but never mind
Took Nike pilot bear keyring and left travel backgammon (ex Tairua Cracker)and smiley face ball a treat for someones dog.
Recommend anyone planning to do this one make a day of it if the weather is nice.

This is a lovely little spot. An excellent hiding spot. The grass was knee high but there was no trash anywhere.

We were up intending on going to the Te Kaha get together but I got sick. Ventured out to test how I travelled and decided to grab a couple of caches. Spent a wee bit of time trying to find this cache due to tree coverage. Great wee location - have travelled the track a few times but never stopped here (I did stop closer to Parmy a couple of days before but we won't go into that...)
+ Eye Ball - Bikini Lighter

After three quarters of a hour searching with a weak gps signal decided to crack the clue. Cunning hiding spot. Wished we had bought a BBQ & beer and some swimming togs although I must admit the water felt a little cool for this time of the year. Real nice spot for a dip

My second FTF!
What an awesome little spot. Not only have you found an awesome picnic and swimming area, but also a fantastic trout fishing spot. IF you like rainbow trout and want a good fight, it is definitely worth checking out!
Did CITO, but what the area really needs is the council to get in there and remove the trash which has been dumped there. Disasppointing to see such a beautiful area spoilt by such carelessness!!
SL
- "destroy" key ring
+ "mums" tape cassette "Off the hook"
TB "Snowflake" still there
Found it without GPS (flat batteries [:o)]) and used map from nztopoonline, which made it slightly more challenging. Actually Magoo found it, tail wagging, having a good sniff. Heaps of fun, particularly with the good weather.
Definitely worth checking out!!!

Our first unsucessful hunt.. Rather disappointing really. Reception was poor amongst all those tall rotting trees.

Started this cache with the first traveller we've ever seen - T.B. Snowflake.
Please note this is definitely a CITO cache
