I guess I should read the logs before looking. Was visiting the area and this one was the closest. Luckily it got dark so we didn't look for too long. The nearby "Get to the point" the day after was great!
Agree that it is a good view. New to this game so I shot for something close to home but unfortunately this one has not returned from last years mugging.
Visiting area on our holiday from the UK. Thought we would try this just in case you had put the cache back. Great views but dissappointed cache was not there. Spot was being guarded by a 1m long Goanna so we didn't hang around for long [:o].
As reported this cache has been vandalised and so until we can replace it, you will not find it.
If you are new to the area it is still worth your while following the co-ords to the spot, just for the view.

This cache has been mugged, I found the box open on the path leading to GZ. only contents was a paint brush, nothing else to be seen. wasnt long ago, the box wasnt dirty or wet inside so only mugged in the last day or two. I have the box so if crimson8 wants it send an email or if not it might become my first.
Nice view pitty about the cache being found.

Dropped in Mr Bump TB. Cache looking good. I like the 'trade fair or don't trade at all' card a lot. I'll be putting a few of those in caches too.
After reading through the cache logs and seeing that The Reigate Squires had suggested a slightly different set of coordinates my son and I headed out to see if this new information would be helpful. Sure enough, within 1m of the new coordinates we found it. I would suggest the cache owner double check their coordinates and consider changing the official coordinates of the cache. I had a solid signal and have posted my coordinates, which were almost exactly the same as what The Reigate Squires found. Since we're visiting here from the USA, I decided to take the "Tiny Teddy" Traveler on a long 747 airplane ride (upper deck, nothing but style!) to America to do some traveling around US caches!

No luck finding it today after about 20 minutes of searching about a 5m-7m radius around the cache coordinates.
Found by Barry and Beryl accompanied by 3 grand daughters at 8.05 am. We were in the area for just one day for another grand daughter's wedding, and could not resist the chance to add another cache to our score.
Found after a short search even though the trees and clouds did affect the GPS signal a little. The girls enjoyed scrambling around the rocks, the view was nice even though it was very misty. There was a fishing competition and we could see the sail past of a large number of boats.
We dropped off Tiny Teddy (Traveler Tag #TF4BD) here. Please help move it along!
Took the DVD and left Aussie key ring and a green frog.
Thanks Crimson8

This was our third cache in the area. Lots of muggles in the area but they seemed to be more interested in the view rather than the cache. What is wrong with these people? TNLN thanks for the cache.

Decided to have a quick cache before we headed back to Sydney after a great weekend. Nice View.
We were actually on our way to camp for the night when we saw the the signpost. Went back the next morning to start the search. Lots of rocks in the area. It started to rain and we were just about to head back to the car when we found it. Cache was in a reasonable condition.
Nice location there, even in the rain
Took : Vase
Left : Snowman

Plenty of action for this cache in the last few weeks!
Took 10 minutes out from work while in the area to have a go at this one, and found it easily. The location is gorgeous.
Didn't make any swaps (left them in the car and couldn't be bothered going back for them) but the cache is in good condition (presumably after last weeks cleanout)
Thanks for the find. Enjoyed this one very much.

We were in the area overnight and so we paid a visit to the cache.
Gave it good clean out and dried it out in the sun for a while.
We tossed out a few things that had not stood the passage of time well and restocked it with a few new goodies.

Got lucky with the find - my GPS was jumping a bit so turned around to start looking and there it was!
Have been in Nelson / Shoal Bay for the last week and it has rained the whole time! Lucky I got my tan last weekend!
The cache needs a clean, there was a green mould growing on most of the items. TNLN.

Up in Nelson's Bay for a relaxing weekend we decided to sample a couple of the caches up this way. we checked out the absolutely fantastic views while we waited for the place to empty out for a bit. we were most impressed!! then headed down in the direction we thought the cache would be. after 30 or so mins of wondering around looking under rocks and turning the GPS on and off. we finally put it away and decided to go on gut instinct and instantly there is was! Cache needs a bit of cleaning out...... got some interesting yellow gunk.... we took the funky fish pen and left a bottle opener.
Thanks heaps for leading us to the fantastic lookout we wouldn't have known existed otherwise!!!

Great view. Agree that cache needs a bit of TLC. A little damp. Took nothing, left nothing.
Our first Port Stephens cache whilst on a brief break for the Long W/E.
Had to abort attempt one on this cache due to a "gaggle of muggles" near GZ!
Attempt two was on sunrise the next day and was definitely worth the 0600 wake up!!!! (Take a look at the picture - I think you will agree). [^]
Unfortunately the cache container appears to be leaking slightly and the contents do have an odour. Also there could be some doubt as to the suitability and exact nature of some of the contents thanks to "Ivanna Humpalot" - my suggestion, a maintenance trip when you can manage it Crimson8.
Thanks for the rewarding views....another great geocaching experience.

Visited the cache on Cleanup Aus day, filled a large garbage bag from the area around the lookout.
Cache still in good condition.

Found at about 2pm-ish while on holidays up this way to do some 4WDing on Stockton Beach. Brought some first timers along for the ride, some of whom just couldn't fathom the concept of this sport. Had nothing to swap, but I think Jeff left a 5 cent coin and took the 20 cent coin.
Was also a bit bewildered by the log left by the previous finder, one 'Ivanna Humpalot' earlier the same day. I suspect it may have been found by muggles who've graciously left an amusing note! Cache is otherwise in good condition. Thanks Crimson8! Top effort and a great spot. Photo's coming later today.

This one took us two attempts. On both days the co-ords seemed to be about 10m out, so we have logged the above as it might help other searchers. In any case, it is a spendid hide and once again highlights the cache-hunter's golden rule: once you figure you are near the spot, put away the gps and think "now where would I have hidden it..."! Thanks for your work, Crimson8. Finding this and one other (one Mile) was a highlight of our holiday in Port Stephens. Took psychedelic octopus; left a g-clamp.
Mrs Mix78, Mini-Mix03, My mate Capt. Hornblower, His wife Kiva and Baby Bean all jumped in the car to help me find this one, the girls and Mini-Mix desided to stay in the car and Baby Bean didn’t get a choice so the Captain and I skronged arowend for a while till he found it, we took it to the car (so the girls could see it) to make swaps then put it back. Thanks C8
Great views.[br]Never knew about this lookout. Thanks Crimson8. [br]Took the pins and left a calculator.[br][br]
Cheers from the daz1950 Team.

Snifter knew all about this place from a past work assignment in the area so we were armed with some prior knowledge of what to expect. The views were great especially of the Yaccaba Headland on the other side of Port Stevens. (where there is another cache BTW) There were a lot of people visiting the nearby lookout but when we emerged from another direction I think we started a curiosty rush as everyone wanted to know what was down there. Of course we told them there was a Geocache hidden in the scrub with one hundred dollars inside. Seriously though it was a very well stocked cache. We exchanged a disc of games for a keychain and skinny frog thingy. Returned to sea level for a feed of fish and chips. Thanks Crimson8

Woo Hoo!
Another first for SteelRat and crew!
Hauled along my cousin and her family for their first local cache hunt. Ben found it nestled away under an outcrop, and then all the kids swooped on it. A very big thumbs up from the ankle-biters![^]
Forgot to take my camera to the cache, but did take some snaps at the lookout.
Very nice cache and location. Enjoyed the climbing around the rocks.
Thanks guys.
