First time ... Pha found it. Melissa.. Next person have a nice clean day....Qld Deaf Caravan Camping Group Australia
Good thing there was space for two caravans to pull up.A scramble or walk up the slope. Can't see the rock from above really buy could see it below.Signed as The RoosTftc
Could not see the man. It might be because of different shadows. However, we found the tomb of the cacheAll in good order. With Sillybugger. Great view. Scary things quite happyTFTC
This was in my sights. So glad it was viewing the artwork not climbing it . Soon found and in good condition. But the cache guardians HOLY BATBREATH they are big. Quite a few trauma dances getting there and back. Time to visit Qld again. Up visiting family and doing some small road trips. Thanks for getting me out and about Albyalbatross&Nicole
On our way to Gladstone for the harbour festival and to do a spot of Geocaching. We have stopped here before but the grass was too tall for the trek.Today we pulled up and went for a hike. Suzib1972 & I sent Drennostar first with a large stick on spider watch. Some giant ones up here too! Drennostar reckons he threw a stick at one and it threw it right back We soon had the cache in hand and signed the log - fantastic view from up here!! TFTC!
Quick and easy find on our way south via some old cache with alphag_25. Some big spiders on the way up, just Orbs but big webs just the same. Nice view at the top
GreenGecko1 refound this one 13 years after the first time & im with herMan faced rock??????But finding an oldie is great!
Made a slight detour in our plans to grab this oldie. The recent fire has made getting up very easy... cache quickly located under the watchful eyes of face rock. Haha... amazing that's been there for at least 20 years. We've been travelling with a TB we decided to drop here to continue its adventures. Tftc
I have replaced the cache with new box. That is the last one I have to do!!! Now to watch them for anther 20yrs!! Thanks to all who helped keep The Man Faced Rock alive!!
Finally getting around to logging our finds from a recent roadtrip. This cache was on our last day, a massive driving day to get back home, which we broke up by visiting a few select caches to stretch our legs at. Naturally we had to make this one of them due to its age! I found it in great condition after a little stroll up the embankment and made sure to appreciate the rock art on the other side. I hope the next finder picks up the path tag I accidentally left on the ground beside the cache :/
Found it. Interesting walk. Couldn't see the man until we were coming back down and looked up!
Found with tamagotcha and jacksoncoolboy on a rainy wet miserable day. Good view though. Tamagotcha was thrilled to snag the TB, after all that's what she came for
Oh yeah boy!!!!
I have been wanting to find this one for a while. Nice cool light rain day and was keen to get thru the long over grown grass. Got my boots on and pushed my self to my extreme limit.
You beauty. Seen the man on the rocks. Wow thats awesome. Thanks for the cache. What a neat little view

Yeah, we found this oldie. Put the logbook in a ziplock bag and removed some of the rubbish. Could one of the next cachers please replace the box? It's a bout 1.3l. The walk up the hill wasn't as bad as it looked despite the long grass, but more a T2. TB and FP in.

Early start from Biloela for Mr CNQ before heading to Maryborough. Thanks for keeping this old cache in play.
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 127. Gladstone to Dingo via Biloela and Dululu. I seemed to have chosen an unbalanced day with over 300 km to do, based on my last few days of travel, I should have stopped some where along the way and Biloela would have been a nice place to stop. I had a look around while doing a multi. Dululu was much smaller, but there was a food van at the van park that looked like a bit of an adventure. I stopped in Dingo and walked over to the pub for sinner and then slept to the dulcet sound of coal trains every 30mins or so.
This was just out of the roadwork, so I was able to pull off and walk up the hill to the cache. The long grass had me hunting around for a bit until I saw this one. The man was in full view up on the hill opposite.
Thanks for the cache Albyalbatross&Nicole

Found today, have known the face for a long time, fun to find the geocache. Thanks CDAH55 for leaving waterproof paper!
It is nice to find the oldies. Heading North. Original logbook saturated however I did record my log on some fresh waterproof paper. TFt
Quick find here. Man faced rock very clever. New log book and container required. Container swimming in water. Log book unable to be written on.
Chasing the oldies on a trip north this weekend.
After a lunch in Biloela it was time for this one
Thank you for hiding this geocache Albyalbatross&Wendy

Thanks for the Cache.
Thanks for the Cache.
Heading south from Clermont today and crossed to Biloela for the nignt and picked up caches along the way.
I parked nearby and headed up to this one and also wondered about the nearby paint job.
Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches for me and others to enjoy.

Saturday. I’m sure I’ve seen that rock up there before when we’ve been driving this way, but I didn’t realise there was a cache nearby. We darted up the side of the hill, making sure not to ruin the spiderwebs from those colourful little mine looking spiders. Nice quick find.
This was the 2nd of 10 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***Albyalbatross&Nicole*** for showing us this place

Found as I meander my way from Adelaide to Cairns.
With no real travel plan and three weeks to get there before I meet up with friends, there has been plenty of opportunity for sightseeing and finding a few selected caches along the way.
I noticed this older cache and as I was passing, decided to go and have a look for it. After a short scamper up the hill, the cache was a quick find. Wondering though, why someone would climb up to paint the face over the other side!
Thanks Albyalbatross&Nicole for the cache.

A long trip today as our focus was on this oldie. Came up the highway through all the roadworks and went home the inland way. Pulled up nearby and a short wander up the hill. Saw dirt scratching where the last visitor today headed up to the cache. I spotted the cache hide. Signed the log and took TB to move on and returned to where I found it. Thanks Albyalbatross&Wendy. All good with this cache.
my husband and I are on the way to canarvon gorge from Brisbane and we are picking up smileys on the way. I walked around in circles for awhile before I spotted this cache and then looked across the road and had a laugh. thanks for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
5/10/20 Find #4204
Fangsoki, Pprime, Crew153 and I were on a log weekend of adventure in and around Gladstone, concentrating mainly on the older caches. This was another cache stop just for me, as the other three had already done it.
It was not the clearest morning out here but I could see our view of the rock from GZ, where Pprime suggested alternatives as to what it looked like to him.
There was much burn off done where we parked (still smoking) and we were a little worried near GZ when we saw one or two burnt trees there but all good with cache.
Thanks for the cache Albyalbatross&Nicole.

Day twelve of my outback Queensland trip and the plan today is to complete an oldie and a couple of earth caches in the Springsure area. Having completed those it was then a “whereto go to next” do I head back up and go along the Blackwater etc Hwy, do I go into Moura and head east or do I turn left at Rolleston and do Carnarvon gorge. So it was straight on and because in the distance I can see another old cache, ok that’s the goal.
With no caches between here and Moura it was a quick but boring drive. After a few previous DNF’s in Moura and the only cache in Banana I had made it to Biloela, hmm. Its getting on so I made my way to this cache. I parked on the side of the road and made my way up the hill; GPS says its 100 mtrs away. Making tracks through the long dead grass I finally reached an area that looked like some good hiding spots, looking around I soon spotted the hide and a happy dance was required, two oldies in the same day, yippie. I felt as though someone was watching me and looking around I soon had a laugh as I could see the man in the rock watching from the other side, too funny.
With the log signed and cache returned as found, it was onto the next one. Thank you for placing it here, a favourite point from me, I really enjoyed the drive around this area today.

Haha, terrain ratings were tough in the old days ..... though in comparison to painting the face it's probably spot on. At least there had been a fire through here at some time and the grass hadn't got back to it's former jungle glory. Thanks for pointing out the man (looks like Foo was here).. quite sure we wouldn't have seen it otherwise. TFTC Albyalbatross&Nicole. Left Finding my way home: Oman TB.
I wasn’t expecting quite what we saw from GZ. But it gave me a chuckle and made me wonder why and how. Took the trackables. Thanks for the cache
What is with Rincewind and strange animals that turn into drawings that far into rock.... get a few pints in him and that’s all he goes on about.
Heading from Yeppoon to Toowoomba and caching along the way. We had to detour from Biloela to get this cache but couldn’t go past it being so close, also it fills a hole on a radius challenge. We had to drive past the GZ as there was a truck too close behind us to pull in safely. Once we got the truck off our tail we turned around and were able to pull over and then I headed up to the GZ. Not what I was expecting with a T of 1, but not too much of a challenge. Located cache and signed the log. Said hello to the man on the hill and headed back down to continue our journey. Great to find an old cache, Tftc
Heading out to Carnarvon gorge with the van. Was able to pull off the road and get this one. A recent fire has been they the area and we thought it may have been destroyed. But the rock cairn has protected the cache and all is good. We dropped off 2 TBs. It is a good view of the artwork

Found it. Great spot! We replaced the container and added a pen. Enjoy future adventurers TFTC️
Wow we knew the painted face on the cliff face was there but to know all this time there was a container just of the road was a surprise was fun to look for it kids loved it thankyou for the adventure
Thanks for the cache and for bringing to my attention this interesting art The container needs replacing as it’s very brittle. I think I saw Ostrich footprints near GZ..
Cheers
Cheers
#217 Easy find once you get there but T rating should be higher, maybe 2 or 2.5. Lid is broken. We replaced the container upside down to try to keep the water out.
The face was not what we expected at all.

I was traveling a very zigzag route to QOGM in Barcaldine. After finding caches in Tannum Sands, I decided to head to Biloela. This cache was on the way, so I stopped to find it. I parked the geomobile and made my way up to GZ. There, the cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
When Fangsoki and Pprime (P') mentioned about a road trip to get the old caches in outback Queensland I jumped at the chance to see some of our great country. The 8 day tour covered some 6,000km and a day on a boat in the Whitsundays. I wouldn't have missed the adventure for the world.
After leaving Brisbane at 2am, this was the first cache that we stopped for and it was not until we stopped that I realised that both P'prime and Fangsoki had found this one previously. So, it was up to me to take the stroll to find the cache by myself. It didn't take long to locate the cache and then I admired the view of the "artwork".

Found - what a climb , saw the Man's Face. Log really wet, clip lock bag broken. We are on our way to Blackdown NP from the Gold Coast so enjoyed finding this cache!
With Geohusband and Geobaby on our way to Uluru. Nice easy find. Bit of bush bashing to get in and I'm petrified of snakes but made it tftc
We were in Biloela today and knowing we were so close to this 'old' cache we simply *had* to drive out to find it and have a look at the man faced rock.
Parked safely off the road and had a short walk up to GZ. Had no trouble finding the cache. The log is a bit damp but it was okay to sign.
Thanks heaps Albyalbatross&Nicole.

Up to Rocky for a couple days of work, and on my list of interests is this - one of the oldest still active caches in QLD. A bit of a drive, but having finished work for the Monday, I whipped past Maccas for a coffee, and drove. And drove and drove. Pulled up on the road here right after sunset, but in the twilight I made my way through the long grass to GZ - and a simple easy find. Cool - I love it when a plan works. Once signed I headed back to Rocky again. 4 hours. Almost 400kms, the best part of a tank of petrol ... One case. But a special one and a smile on the dial.
Not a lot of open food shops around here.
Thanks for placing this cache, Albyalbatross&Wendy. Found in good condition.

Finally heading south. staying a few days in Mt Larcom so that we could do a geo tour of the surrounding area.
A 300km round trip saw us attempt 19 caches, but only successfully logging 17 today. An interesting area and so glad we made this into a circuit to visit these areas.
Last for our day at 5.20pm and still a long way to get home.

Soon located the cache
Wary of snakes as a lovely sunny day and tall grasses
Spotted the man looking down on us .
Cache and contents all good

A geocaching roadtrip is an amazing thing. It takes lots of preparing, planning and pre puzzling to ensure time on the road is maximised. I have to say I exhibited none of these attributes as we readied ourselved for this roadtrip. I was fortunately joined by the energizer bunny (seffnjarah) and the Square Jawed Mountain Man (Crookedpete) who both like to prove how capable they are as the alpha males of the Bromance. While there is often much chest beating and tantrums, we manage to remain positive and end up with a good plan of attack.
We set off on Friday lunch time (so CP had time to make himself pretty) and returned late Sunday nigh, traveling some 2000klms, approx 70 caches of varying D/T Ratings, in just on 54 hours. Sadly there were a few DNF's (which some of the team took harder than others), but we saw many different cache styes, and some amazing places. Thanks to all the CO's who placed these caches for us to find.
Our time to head back home, and the roadtip is waning. Still a few to collect on the way home!
An interesting to place, but I am in no condition to climb to the cache given last nights caching adventure (mishap!). This cache was one of the reawsons for the trip in the first place, and we had a little detour to find it. Which madman did THAT!

It's been 2 years since the Bromance undertook a geocaching road trip, the last being down to Gloucester NSW back in March 2015. With the blessings of our respective spouses received (mine seemed rather keen to get rid of me for the weekend) we headed off from Brisbane Friday lunchtime for a whirlwind trip to Yeppoon and back with a lengthy target list of caches including this one. After finishing our first 2 days of caching and setting up camp at 1.30am each morning, another early wake up call had us packed up and on the road again, this time heading for home but still picking up the odd cache along the way. Upon arriving at our parking spot we quickly identified the namesake of this cache - certainly was not what I had pictured in my mind. A quick dash through the long grass and we were at GZ. A likely spot initially invited inspection but after coming up empty another likely location proved more fruitful. TFTC
It has been far too long since Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and I did stupid things on a roadtrip a long way from home. So, a caching road trip from Brisbane to Rocky & Yeppoon and a few ports (and mountains) in between was planned. The well planned though overly optimistic caching itinerary included miscellaneous mind bending puzzles, half a dozen or so of Queensland's Oldest caches a few wee hill climbs, a healthy selection of unloved caches and any other interesting caches in between.
On the homeward run now - a handful of selected caches and a lot of driving to do. This oldie made the cut and we detoured 15 k's or so to grab it. A great view of the face (with the fingers poking over the rock from GZ. A bit of searching in the grass revealed a few likley piles of rocks. Of course, it was the last one that we checked which had the cache.
Thanks Albyalbatross and Nicole

Ah, the man, I've seen him before on other drives out this way. Back when I was a muggle and hadn't the slightest suspicion that there was a container and log book up here. HancockT and I actually managed to do our homework before coming to this one, ( ok so we were eating lunch back in Biloela, but still) saw that previous finders said it needed some maintenance. An excellent opportunity to visit a shop near our lunch stop for a look. New container and a few tiny swaps in place. Log book was still in tip top condition. Tftc
Nice bit of a wander Bertoady and I replaced the container as the old one had a broken lid thanks for the cache
oops I forgot put my log .. that time I went with Rothy6 .. we saw white face cute .. TFTC
I hadn't read previous logs either and set off in shorts but luckily had changed from sandals into my walking boots.
Whaaa? I thought terrain 1 meant wheel chair accessible? They must have motorized wings on them around here.!
After a quite dangerous scramble up the cutting, I followed Little Red Riding Hood (aka my GPSr ) to the GZ. Once there it was an easy find, signed log and grabbed Tb before returning the cache to its hidey hole. This container is also in need of maintenance as one clip is brittle and broken. Log however is in good condition. TFTC SL

After a very disappointing nearby DNF, I rolled onto this one next.
This cache was next on my list - as it is the 70th oldest, active cache in Queensland.
I pulled up at what I considered to be safe approach. I think it would have been easier coming from the other direction. I made my way toward approachable ground.
Hmm. This grass is taller than me. I pushed through and up toward the cache. They certainly don't make "Terrain 1" caches like this anymore. Embarrassingly, it took me a while to spot this one. I blame the grass
The container is still working - but is starting to show its age. Could someone bring a replacement Sistema for this one? I signed the log and popped in a trackable. The cache was in good condition otherwise.
Back down to the road - avoiding an orb spider I very nearly walked into.
I did spot the man. I had thought it would be a rock shaped like a man's face. Funny how envisage things before actually seeing them.

Requires some bush bashing to get to the GC (read itchy if you haven't boots or long pants) but the Man Faced Rock was worth it. TFTC

The roadtrip to end all roadtrips has begun! Gaz'n'Kab and catscatscats22 have left all but their trusty steed behind, and have embarked on the most epicest adventures across Australia
Day 2 of the roadtrip and we had a couple of the QLD Oldest 100 caches to grab on our list, and this one was first up. We made our way here from Agnes Water and pulled up alongside the hill on the side of the road We decided straight up would do the trick, so we scrambled up and after a short moment to enjoy the views and check out Kilroy, we quickly had the cache in hand and our names added to the logbook [^] We made our way back down the long way, and spent some time removing cobblers pegs, before heading off to grab a few more for the day.

Found this on our way home from a wonderful long weekend at Blackdown Tablelands. I too failed to read the previous text, and headed up the hill in shorts. The views and the cache made the itchy legs worthwhile. TFTC
Not heeding previous logs I set off in shorts and my Special geoson in thongs. But we made it anyway. Yea! I advise if heading east go down the road a little as there is a street that you could park in. It would be safer. TFTC A, A and N
Found on a trip out to Cania. It was a bit further up and off the road than initially anticipated, but a nice chance for a leg stretch. Cache in good condition. Tftc
Found it and left one of those Woolworths dominoes with lightning McQueen on it, make sure to bring a pencil
Great cache!! This cache requires a little bushwalking, so long pants are a must. Left TB and a fave point.
Stopped past on the way North from Bilo with a colleague. Parked on the Western side of the road uphill from GZ. There was just enough room to park safely.
My colleague stayed down the bottom whilst I scrambled up. Quickly found. Coords are good. Cache in good order. TFTC!
