Sorry
They removed sign have had a few problems .I lost my password for this account.I am going away for a month or so when I get back I will do something about it.
Do not let this put you off Decode as last post said before you go.
I think this is one of the really good walks around the Camden Haven with panoramic views so take your camera.

This took us ages to find as, like Curious Kitten said, the sign is missing so I suggest before you go, you figure out the clues about Themeda and Thesium. We used the Encrypted Clue to help us and looked in every nook and cranny that fit the description. We had some newbies with us, 3 kids, too, so we reallly wanted to find it! We left Duff Beer travel bug and took Stinky. The kids also left a rubber eyball, a car and a golfball and took a car and other toy. Lovely location near Diamond Head Camping site which is also lovely, by the way! Thanks!
We've now dropped Stinky Skunk off near the Sydney airport. Perhaps someone will take him overseas. While he's waiting for his next adventure, he might play golf across the river.

We had a particularly lovely late afternoon walk to Perpendicular Point. Lots of birdlife to be seen and heard. We spotted echidnas at two different locations along the path and a blue tongue lizard. We arrived at the coordinates for the sign - only to find that there is no sign there anymore, just a bare remains of its signpost. It seems to have been vandalised. Not to be defeated though, we were able to locate the cache using the hint provided.Took wooden keyring and carabiner. left Ned Flanders and Stinky Skunk TB. TFTC
Well, being a botanical sort of bloke, I figured the clues weeks ago before leaving my icey southern home.... and yes, I got the answers right!
Great place for a hide out here. Most enjoyable.
In: key fob & ring

0135. Have been meaning to do this one a while ago. The first time we ended up 1 kilometre away but through the water. The second time nobody besides me and dad wanted to do it. And the third time we decided we needed to get home and to bed. So finally We have triumphed. A nice walk (even in the dark). Working out the coordinates wasn't to bad. but like other people I found the co-ordinates to a little bit off. Shane schofield should also get a bit of credit for this one as well. He actually told me that he had found a whole lot of flax and a dead banksia. So we all started searching. I was going behind Shane and then he steped over a whole that was covered with bark, so I checked it out and sure enough it was there. Nice hide.
Took dance nutri grain cd (I love these cds)

Found at 2:38pm. Another lovely walk to bring up our find No. 50
Another nice walk close to our camping base for the Easter holidays. Even more fantastic views. Had to avoid some muggles whilst we had the cache wide open.

Didn't read the instructions properly, so started at the wrong point! (Hamey lookout!) Oh well - a little further to walk, but a great track nonetheless! Wasn't sure how to do the maths... Do I add the values of the letters together? Do I allocate points based on position in word! In the end I opted for the simple approach! It worked well. Found the cache easily. TNLN, thanks for a great cache banksia man!
What a teriffic walk! We were amazed at the numerous views along this walk... so many breathtaking areas!
The terrain and bushland changed in various places - just so much variety!
We managed to complete the walk easily, taking many photos and when we got to the sign we recorded the information easily without before making our way up to the lookout and marvelling at the location. It would be a nice spot to bring some lunch and enjoy a bit of whale watching in that season.
We saw a kangaroo at the top (on the other side of the fence) who didn't seem to be too disturbed by our presence.
We made our way back to what we'd calculated as the co-ordinates for the cache and searched for quite a while before we rang for help. Unfortunately the hints we were given still didn't lead us to the cache so in the end we gave up. It was only as we were walking away, 20m+ down the track from where we'd been looking that I spotted a likely location and quickly looked there to find THE CACHE. Gee its nice to find them after you think you've got a DNF!
We continued our walk back to to the car and were surprised when another mother kangaroo, complete with joey in pouch, that we passed on the track didn't hop away and in fact sniffed towards us. Following its inclination we reached out and it allowed us to pet it! We only stopped for less than a minute so as not to distress it - a magic moment! TFTC - just wonderful!

Did the required maths and found the cache without any problem. Wonderful location, enjoyed the views in both directions. Saw a goanna as well. Make sure you check out Pilot Beach nearby which is calm water for swimming. Thanks Banksia Man. TNLN.
I have visited this area for may years so it is now nice to have the added dimension of this geocache.
It is a great vantage point from where you can spot many of the other geocache locations in the area.
Thanks for the cache.

What a great location. Thanks for bringing me out here Bansia man. Found the cache based on the hints without needing to solve the puzzle! We walked out to the end lookout anyway and were well rewarded.

This is a really cool cache. We sat and watched 3 dolphins and 2 whales go around the point it appeared they were travelling together as the dolphins stayed in front of the whales all the way around. It was a great day. The cache was easy to find. We left a special friend and TN. Thanks for the cool hide.

Lovely spot for birdwatchers (and geocachers). Now I know what flax is !!!! Took and left nothing
This was my second cache for the day and you can look across the ocean to see the first one (Banksia 1). The views are equally spectacular. Great walk out here and a very clever idea using the cryptic coordinates. TNLN.
Made the mistake of going to the 'other' carpark and so the round trip was closer to 5km! However it was highly enjoyable as there are many spectacular lookouts along the way. Also we were lucky enough to watch a pod of dolphins swimming around in the river mouth, along with a soaring sea eagle!
Working out the cache coord's is a very clever idea... even if we DID fail to get the puzzle right straight away.
Great cache location though and really good hiding place!
Took 'racing' sticker and left LED torch

Our last cache for the Port area and we stumbled across this cache without getting to the end so I still dont know what the meanings are.
Did our swaps then headed back along the track to pick up the pregnant one who couldnt make it to the end.
Thanks for showing us this spot.

Found at 1.45 pm on our bi-annual visit to Port Macquarie from Melbourne. A stormy day and lots of rain the previous night with major flooding around the district. Thanks Banksia Man for making us go on this walk - one of the reasons why this place is so interesting.
Took: Goofy teeth, Left: Tape measure
ps - container is still in good condition even after all the rain.

This geocache is probably my most memorable yet for 2 reasons.
This adventure started very inconspicuously with our first success in locating "a" carpark (there are 2 by the way). It probably wasn't the one with the shortest walk (which was to become a critical factor later). Setting off with nothing but the GPSr and a bag of cache goodies, we chose to head right along the loop track. This seemed to be ok.....but around 20 minutes into the walk I happened to look behind only to be presented with a pitch black sky bearing down on us rapidly and no raincoat!!!. What had been a beautiful sunny day when we left the carpark was about to become night, as a large storm was building up steam.
There was nothing for it but to trudge on...
Another 10 minutes brought us to halfway along the headland to Perpendicular Point. The first rumbles of thunder were heard and being exposed to all the elements at this point (with the distinct possibility of being struck by lightning) we decided to forget the idea of reaching the sign and began looking for likely cache hidey holes matching the hint. Lady luck was on our side (for once) as I stumbled across the right hidey hole within 1 minute of searching - no GPS required. I couldn't believe my luck - there may yet be a chance to get back to the car before the storm arrived!
Cache is still safe and well, I swapped the shark for a bouncy ball in record time and we set off towards the carpark.
Unfortunately as time went by it became obvious we were never going to make it. Then the critical command error was made.......I chose to continue around the rest of the loop track because I had become convinced that this would be the shortest route to the carpark. Boy was I wrong! - the storm descended on us in torrents and my husband took great delight in making smart comments about my "would-be" navigation skills for the next 2 hours. [:(!] What may have been the shortest route to one carpark, certainly wasn't to ours!
The visit to the Laurieton shops for a well earned Mars Bar afterwards, certainly raised some local eyebrows. Hehehehehehehe I must have looked a sight with plastered hair and squilchy sandshoes making my way through the Bi Lo.
Thanks for your effort Banksia Man. Here ends the tale of cache #2 for our weekend Port Macquarie odyssey.

Found @ 2:25pm.
The caculated co-ords are seemingly VERY wet and deep. We too decided not to swim for it. The decrypted hint however was enough for us to find this well hidden cache.
This is our third cache on our way to Sydney.
My wife would not let us leave until we found it, the FTF Bug has bitten!
We took the wrist compass (my son has not yet taken it off) and a red and white badge. We left Basketball Grover and Furby.
Cache was dry and in good nick.
Thanks,
Baseline Benny and Family.

We tried to do this one after Big Brother, but without success. Found the information sign easily enough, but the instructions don't seem to add up. We tried a number of times to get the coords for GZ, but always ended up out in the ocean. Since we thought it was probably a bit cold for a swim, we gave up. We will contact you with where we caclulate the cache to be - maybe the instructions need to be revised.
