Down in Brisbane for the day and had a whole day of caching planned but the unseasonable amount of wet stuff falling from the sky might hinder that plan. Ive got my gumboots, raincoat and umbrella so well see how far we get! Did a circuit around the bush to include this cache and spent way too long looking on my first attempt. Sent off for some PAFs who gave clues but still couldnt find it. Decided to walk away and go find the trad down the hill. On my way back I came in from a different approach which proved fruitful and made the find! Woohoo! Very happy to tick off another Q100. Thanks for the cache dohertysFind #6215
Thanks for the placement, maintenance and smiley. A great cache that restores your faith in caching. What caching is all about.
What a great old cache that 8s still being maintained. Looks of groundwork to do but in the end it was finished with to a nice forest walk and gold. Thanks for the cache
TBU walked down and up with Grannysmith1947 in this bush reserve to gather information for an earth cache, for another traditional one and this oldie.
Oldie but Goldie. Didn't find it immediately and sent coords to CO who confirmed immediately that they are correct. So after finding the Trad cache further down we walked back via this GZ and started searching again.
We found a well camouflaged big container (a fav point from me) and signed the log.

TFTC smile 16656 out and about on a lovely day sign as GS1947 on small logs Signed and replaced I signed this log in the 4th month 2020 and just forgot about it, so after the Event today with the TBU we went looking PAF a friend to make sure I still had the correct cords, went looking for a cache fether down, found it, so on the way back looked again and there it was, A oldie for a oldie ,
Thank you, dohertys, for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
Thank you, dohertys, for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
Was able to access the trail from the main road so the walk was pretty short and sweet. Thankfully for us the others using the tracks (in the manner they were designed for) were very accommodating to pedestrians sharing the path. We got the occasional call out from a friendly cyclist to warn us they were coming through and we could move aside to let them pass. Found the cache with no difficulty and was very happy to be able to claim a find on another golden oldie.
Checked in on the cache. Dried out the container and removed the waterlogged swap items and log book. Put in a new log book. The area as grown back a lot after the bush fires so the cache was a little challenging to find.
I have had this on my solved list for some time, so decided to visit this area today with Sausage3. We found a few other caches as well on this beautiful winter’s day. Loved the camo, even though it has seen better days. Unfortunately, the cache container was full of water. Emptied out the green water - from the highlighter pen - and put the wet logbook into a newer plastic bag. We were just able to sign it but it probably needs checking by the CO. Such a shame all of the quality swag has been soaked. Fp for the series. And tftc.
I was in the area finally sans child to pick up a few caches. All up it was an 8km hike with some great finds. I had done the initial work for this cache a long time ago, so it has been sitting in the solved list for quite a while. Great to find such an old cache and such an awesome one too. TFTC
This oldie was a target for me today…
I had looked at it awhile ago and got the premise and then promptly forgot all about it…
While reviewing the Q100 list it got my attention again… so I set about visiting all the waypoints over a couple of days last week… I’ve only found the one cache and that was back in 2014 not long after I started caching…
I managed to collect 7 of the eight required numbers so the calculation was pretty easy…
I arrived at what I thought was the closest parking and set off… a couple of water crossings, a sidestepping of a single M.A.M.I.L. and I was at GZ…. A couple of circuits and I spotted this nice sized and camo’d container…
Dropping a fave point here for the whole experience and the fact that the CO continues to maintain this cache for our enjoyment…
PS… someone’s been into the work stationery cupboard…

The seat at the Looking Sharp waypoint has been updated which has necessitated a tweak to the clue at that location. Many thanks to Kolour for bringing the problem to my attention.
Today with COVID-19's lockdown in effect, I decided to take a short drive to Bunya for a jog around a few parks and reserves, and then on my way home, I made a stop at Bunyaville Conservation Park for a trail run along those tracks and creeks.
After arriving in Brisbane, I soon learned of this puzzle cache that required visits to several waypoints around Brisbane, so it had always been on my mind during my travels. I had suspected this may take 6-12 months in going around, but it helped that I worked in the city, and during a few of our temporary accommodations, I had ventured out to continue to pick up clues. I think I had picked up the last clue in June, and so since then, this puzzle had remained solved but yet to be found.
I was a little surprised to see where this cache had been hidden, but it wasn't too far from home, and so this cache had become a target of mine today. After making a jog around, I took a trail run, and I soon arrived at GZ. Thankfully, the cache didn't take too long in finding, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. A nicely camoudlaged hiding spot! I dropped a TB for safekeeping and onwards travels too. Thanks dohertys for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 08/2003 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 100 oldest yet active geocaches!

After hunting the virtual clues and conferring with my regular partner in crime (as she had solved this back in 2016 but as usual wasn't sure about where the GZ was, which meant having to do the hard yards to attain the finals. It was great to have her with me wandering around the bush after a short work day & I FOUND IT!
We have had this geocache on our radar for at least two years. We began the homework on this one on bicycles, and then as some of the locations were too far away, did a couple of car trips. With some information sorted, it was then put on the back burner.
About a year ago, we headed to one of the waypoints, shortly after picking up Mr Domsky from the airport, only to discover that there were a couple of people seated right where we needed to be looking for a particular piece of information.
Fast forward to 2 months ago, and we were able to head back and collect that information. We added that into the mix of our numbers, and eventually found some good numbers.
Today, after work, we took a drive to this beautiful forest area, and with mountain bikes buzzing by, took the walk in to GZ. The container was found safe and well camouflaged in its hiding spot.
We are very happy to find such an old geocache here in Brisbane.
Thanks Doherty’s

we had a few hours to spare this morning so I convinced my husband to come and find this cache. it has been solved for a long time so I was excited to come and find it. To get all the information I would go after work and gather 1 or sometimes 2 at a time and I had so much fun finding the information needed. These types of caches are my favourite and it took me to all great places. This is also a nice place for a walk. At gz it was very close to another cache so that confused me and i was worried i had the wrong coords. we went around in circles for ages. My husband kept going to one side of gz and I think that's why we had so much trouble as I kept to that side as well. Eventually after half an hour I asked for help(thankyou) . Then I went a bit more to the other side of gz and was thinking of giving up but my husband did not want to leave empty handed. Then bingo I spotted it. wow that's one great cache. I had to call out koowee to my husband he was so far away. I will never forget the fun in finding this cache. definitely deserves a FP for all the fun. Thankyou
Out today to continue my challenges of a cache a day and a trad a day, while I had this area saved for a particular challenge that may happen, it seems it will be a while before that challenge will ever happen again. There are three little caches of different types here so today I grabbed all three.
First was a puzzle cache, then a nearby trad, before I headed up to the earth cache.
This puzzle cache I had solved for some time ago now, it was a short walk around the bike tracks as I headed to GZ. A little work around and I found the cache reasonably easily. What a very creative cache, as I open everything inside was nice and dry and a huge array of swaps, yet I was not interested in any. It was nice to see this old cache has been or is still being maintained so thank you.
With log signed and returned to the cache I returned the cache to its nice little hide before heading off to the next find. Thank you for placing this one here and maintaining it.

Out this way to pick up my daughter so decided to arrive early to grab a couple of caches. This oldie was number one on the list. Solved a while ago. Nice easy find of a great and well stocked cache. I couldn’t get the stapler back in so swapped it for a few smaller items.

I had some time up my sleeve after work today, so I thought I'd make my cache of the day a solved puzzle I had wanted to collect for ages. I parked near the gate and enjoyed my walk through the bush until I got close to gz. I'd like to say that I then "Looked no More", but I looked plenty! A PAF nudged me in the right direction here (wow, that's some serious camo!) and I added my name to the log. Tftc and the puzzle dohertys, great to find another oldie
I snuck out of work for an hour or so to pick up some caches over lunchtime. This cache was on my hitlist, as it is an oldie (my favourite), in the bush, and gives me some exercise. It was also nearby to a few others (oldies, and solved puzzles) that I wanted to collect.
The cache was difficult to find - mostly because I put the wrong digits into my phone. I have a very bad habit of doing this, poor attention to detail. A man with his dog walked past with one of those old cassette tape players on his shoulder and I thought - what a strange fellow! And then I realised, I might be the strange on, haha!
After 20 minutes of scratching around in the dirt without success, I PAF, and the errors of my ways were uncovered. A more palatable GZ was identified, and from here, it was a very quick find.
Very cool cache container! Be wary of the BMX riders - they come down this path quite quickly and you will have to get out of their way with little warning.
TFTF - TB visits as well.

Wow, this one has been quite the journey. I started this one many years ago, returning to caching late last year, I wanted to pick up where I left off so I could include this in my oldest caches challenge.
I then found a lot of the caches had now been archived, and was very glad to see the information was still available. I flew around Brisbane one Friday afternoon in late January and obtained all of the details I would need. I visited some amazing places during this search as well, would have been great to see some of these at night.
So thinking I had enough numbers to make it work, I started to work through the options to get the checksums to add up. At one stage I was very close, but the co-ords I had didn't fit the description of where it should be. Back to the drawing board, I checked out a couple of potential spots but couldn't find a cache.
Was chatting with a fellow geo-cacher who mentioned they had the finals …. hmmm. I had suspicions of where it was, so asked a few questions to clarify I was working on the right area. Ok, yes I was. Back to my number crunching, and in my haste forgot to look for something, which I had done previously, and still couldn't make it work. A PAF later, I knew where I had to look.
Out for an early morning walk this morning with geopup Bella, we had a lovely walk to GZ. It wasn't long before I had the cache in had and the log signed. A very well stocked cache I must say!
Thank you Dohertys for the adventure, for showing me these wonderful places, and for maintaining the final. A fav from me. I shall Look No More

Such a shame about the area being burnt, however there is life beginning to renew. Certainly made it easy to make our way to GZ. Although we still had wander around before finding the prize.
Was discussing this cache with JACS Team at a recent event, when we discovered that with our powers combined, we could get this cache! So off for a quick walk this evening. Bushland very burnt and sooty, but managed to locate the cache eventually. TFTC!
Out today again with grannysmith1947 and Miss Millie. We had event on today. And grab a few caches as well.
Had to get this one today. After CO let me know it was replaced after I had DNF last time I was there. Big fire went through there.
Now all good love the cache.
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. *dohertys* TFTC *396* streak. *2516* Finds

Not only did I rectify a DNF, I bumped into two likeminded geocachers near GZ. Log signed and some geocaching chat before heading for a cold beer. Thanks for the cache.

We haven’t had a chance to get out to the site yet, but i can’t imagine that container surviving a bushfire. We will have a look at the area ASAP and see if we can tweak the puzzle to suit a new final location.
After a thorough search we gave up. A recent fire has gone through here so we even searched for cache remains. The photos show the container to be large so was surprised not to find anything. Maybe it became exposed and was removed as litter. GZ is close to a bike track. I confirmed correct coordinates with a previous finder. I'll add this one to my watchlist.
Snickersallan and I have been chasing caches which were released before Feb 2004 to qualify for a challenge cache.
This was our first cache for the day. We were glad to do this one early, there was 1 biker who we came out of nowhere. Can't imagine it would be like on a busy day.
TFTC dohertys. All good with this cache. Coords were spot on.

Out in the area with E_Smiley picking up a few caches on our to-do list.
Glad we picked a week day to find this one, probably would get skittled on weekends as its a very popular location for bike riders. Cache all good with original log book intact.

No luck accessing Looking Up! Drove around like mad. We're after oldest and finest to qualify for a challenge cache.
Thanks for taking us here dohertys. Please check the waypoints as there's lots of construction going on at looking up wp. We tried using the service road when we got stuck at Dyandra Rd. No luck! Can't drive any further.
We also tried the other traditional cache Look No More - it's missing.

I owe a big thanks to TeamARF for filling in some of the information I was missing and the incorrect numbers that were downright pedestrian. My guesstimates and approxanothings were getting me nowhere. Waking up the trail I was unfortunate enough to come across a couple of mountain bikers playing for sheep stations. I was well out of their way when they slipped past but they still had enough energy left to verbalise their disappointment they had to share the track. They should have been happy that my hiking pole didn’t accidentally fall into their spokes. Thankfully I made a nice quick find in between some riders but now I had to head back down with my back to any oncoming assault. I decided on waving my pole around and talking to myself to give the appearance of a madman on patrol. Sometimes the conversations I have with myself are thoroughly entertaining. tftc

Over time, collecting numbers to one day assemble into some co-ords that could help us in finding this hide, the numbers just did not fall into place, let alone this continent.
Come forward in time, was recently attending an event, drinking coffee with another cacher, we got onto discussing this cache, one thing lead to another, a few more sips of coffee, and presto, co-ordinates appeared.
Great walk to the location, and great to see another very oldest queensland cache found.

14/5/18, 4:48 pm Find #1687 Well the working week often makes it difficult to find time for caching (except for my off Wednesdays), but somewhere along the way I need to fill my calendar, so the effort is needed on those other days. And today is one of those days, so I decided to look at my map, consider all things such as time, reduced daylight hours and the likes, and I Looked Some More. I didn't really want to do any too close to home as I'm saving what I have left for those emergency days, but decided this one would probably fit the bill for tonight, having the groundwork already done, and having to be back home to get other things with organised tonight. So a short journey and I pulled up in an area I have pulled up at a number of times now. Dragging 1GiantPanda with me, we headed up and along the track, only pulling over a couple of times to let a couple of bike riders through. And before we knew it we needed Walk No More. A quick glance and we knew where the cache was most likely to be. While 1GiantPanda took a seat to play with rocks, I headed over to check the spot. And of course I had to Look No More, because staring right back at me was a rather large cache, which once opened, I noted was filled to the brim with swap goodness for geokids. Not pulling anything out apart from the logbook which thankfully was conveniently at the top, we made our marks and returned the cache to its spot. Then it was time to once again Walk Some More back to the car and drive home where I could Write Some More in the log. With that done it is now time for me to Write No More and Submit a Log Once More. Thanks for the cache dohertys.

I have been slowly getting these "Queensland's Oldest Caches" over the last few years. This one has taken over 12 months. As I found rare spare time I would seek out another number to fill the blanks. I have various random photos in my phone that would mean very little to other people. Once I had visited all the locations I still couldn't get the numbers to work. I tried to reverse engineer with still no luck. Maths is not my best skill. I PAF who showed me where I was going wrong. Then it took about 4 months to find time to get to GZ. With the wife at an event all day I took my 3.5 year old boy for a "treasure hunt and bushwalk". 1000 "why" questions later we were standing at the cache and he was very exciting to find a little toy in the treasure. I was happy to sign the log. TFTC

The original plan was delayed due to a MAMIL and OWL congregation closing down the main route into the area. Went south to liberate a few unfound caches on my map and thought of an alternate spot to access this cache which meant a slightly longer walk in. Had collected the numbers for this cache during different raids in the city. It plotted somewhere it shouldn't so checked with a previous finder and with these numbers in the bank decided to make a withdraw. The walk on this cool and slightly wet morning was enjoyable. So it was when the container materialised from its hide. Great to find another oldie in very good shape. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache dohertys.
You get by with a little help from your friends!! Awesome morning for a forest walk to GZ. And a spot of unloved! Tftc

Having found the remaining caches in this series, I was keen to finish off the final but needed help due to the missing clues. I'm still sad that the archived virtual was locked before I had a chance to find it... I had only been caching about 6 months when it happened and didn't really have rarer types on my radar back then. This morning a nice bushwalk was in order, and after a few zigzags and down and up hills I was finally at GZ. The container was well hidden though easy to find, and what a beaut it is, original log book and all in pristine condition. Thanks for the hunt dohertys, this find makes #4071. ..........@__, /|____|\_/__________|\ \________/_TGQNRV_/

2417 Thursday. Mrs SP was out today with Barbbowman and Raynersinoz. Closing in on GZ, we found a very sound looking cache container in a great hidey hole. Log book was signed and replaced as found. Cache and log book were both in great order and nice and dry. Some snaps taken of the local area and we were on our way. Hurrah, one closer to qualifying for Fangsoki's Oldest and Finest Challenge! This was the 5th of 5 caches found on today's trip. Thanks dohertys, for showing us this place.
Today's adventurers included barbbowman, Mrs SlowPuncture and me - time limits meant we couldn't travel too far, but it was nice to be back caching closer home Recently, we have been making more of an effort to hunt for Queensland's Oldest and Finest caches to finish off Fangsoki's challenge. This is one we had on our list and I was very happy to pick it up today. It's a shame that all except one of the caches containing the clues had been archived before I started caching in 2015, I would have liked to have found them all, it would have been a great series TFTC dohertys

11/12/16, 9:56 am Find #1519 This cache has been on my radar for a while. I did the cache at Sherwood a few months ago but it didn't have the clue. A few weeks ago I dedicated a couple of hours to doing all the waypoints and loved the spectacular locations to which I was taken. Today I had a couple of hours leave pass so I decided to head up and grab it. I didn't know the area and had no idea of the best entry point. I parked at the side of a road near a gully which was overgrown with long grass but had something of a trail through the grass. When I got to the bottom of the gully and crossed the creek, I found a walking track that led me along the creek and eventually out onto a fire trail. This led me past a dam and onto a downhill MTB slalom course which I walked up. I spotted the hide from a distance and was lucky that no MTBers came past until after I had signed the log and returned the cache to its hide. I loved collecting the information for this cache and appreciate the effort that the CO has put in to maintaining it over the years. TFTC dohertys

With a day off work today, what better way to explore SEQ than to grab a few of Queenslands Oldest caches This one was next up on the list so I headed across the river, and made my way to this one. I headed off bush and enjoyed the walk down to the creek, before heading up... I made it to the top, and after a quick search I had the cache in hand and added our name to the logbook TFTC dohertys Gaz'n'Kab

I had previously found "Looking Down" and was hoping to find "Looking Back" today but my cache-blindness got the best of me. I pieced together the info I had collected and got some assistance from Fangsoki on the missing bits. After a peaceful wander in the bush the cache was located and the log was signed. Thanks for the cache dohertys. Cheers!! It is great to see these old caches still in place.

Finally got around to putting in a waypoint and directions to the get the Looking Up letter/number combination. We can't resurrect the original child cache due to security considerations around the location, hence the need to make it a clue. Still need to get a letter/number combo into the Looking Back cache after it was replaced though.

Heading home from the mornings adventure in Northbrook Creek, Green Geckos suggested a very minor detour to collect this oldie. I have not yet attended to the clues, but was more than glad to follow her coat tails and workings to the final this afternoon. A short walk and we soon had the excellent container in hand. It wasn't showing its age at all, but the 2005 calendar inside gave a good clue! Green Geckos seems pretty happy that her calcs were right and the cache was found. Many thanks dohertys Pete #2,951
After a bit of a hike at Northbrook, I decided to go and get this one. Have had what I hoped were correct enough coords for a while. CrookedPete came incase I was a bit out and we had a big search on our hands but the coords proved to be adequate. Fantastic that this oldie is still in play. Well done to the CO. Thank you dohertys for placing and maintaining this cache.

After a midweek outing with Swellerfungus hunting down the available waypoints for this cache, we were still 3 numbers short. Some impromptu mathematical jiggery-pokery came up with some possible solutions but none that warranted a nighttime stroll at any projected GZ. Some excel tinkering confirmed these calculations but some mental wizardry from Swellerfungus gave us the final step we need to make the final calculation of GZ. Today we took the opportunity for a New Year's Day stroll to GZ where the cache was quickly located. Another golden oldie to our tally. TFTC
Well I can finally log this one as found! With a few hours spare earlier in the week seffnjarah and I set out to find this one. After going to the locations we did not already have information for, we sat in the car working to our mathematical limits. We came up with at least three solutions, and decided maybe discretion is the better part of valour, and we should check our work with excel. As it turns out all 3 answers were correct, bot none of them matched the previous logs as to where the cache should be. After the 'eureka' moment arrived we knew we had the right spot...well I was mostly convinced anyway. Enough to go for a walk today and find it! Yipee. my 57th cache of the lodes QLD 100. Thanks Doherts. I am relived to have to Look No More (at that question mark on my map!)

Recently, I mentioned to a caching buddy that I had found some older caches whilst on a recent trip. They asked me if I had found the older caches in Brisbane. I have found a few, but am slowly finding more. As some of the information for this cache is no longer available, they were kind enough to pass the coords on to me. Nice to see that everyone is making an effort to keep this one alive Being in the general area today, I decided to look for it. NurseyJulie and I had a nice stroll through the forest and she made a quick find at GZ. We signed the log, rehid the cache and headed on our way. TFTC
Being one of the oldest caches near to home, it was a must to find this one. Although alot of the information has been a lost along the way, fellow cachers have been able to pass information on to keep this one going. I am so glad it is. Such a perfect condition for being more than 12 years old and interesting read of the original log. TFTC dohertys

We have not managed to find ourselves caching in this area for many years but with the incentive of a few challenge caches however, the time had come to rectify the situation and make the effort to explore this little bit of bush. We had first started looking for this series of caches back in 2006 but had only managed to find four, however we seem to have had sufficient information to work our the final co-ordinates for ground zero. We found the cache easily enough and finally added our name to the log. This find will help us to increase our D/T average to 1.8 for the 'Average' Cacher Challenge and also gives us 43 of the 50 caches required to complete Queensland's "Oldest and Finest" Challenge cache. Thank you dohertys for having placed the cache for everyone to enjoy.

After picking up again recently what I knew about this cache, I was able to confirm my partial coordinates, and then a previous finder was able to confirm my best guess at the full set, which was a big relief. Today I was driving by, and made my way in by the nearest possible entrance. I had to laugh at how close to this one I have been in my travels! The logbook makes great reading and is in superb condition. It's great to be able to finish off this cache at last after visiting every available remaining waypoint on the way. Thanks for the journey and enjoy another Favourite Point from me.

Some years ago, I saw this listing but put it on my ignore list as it looked as though there was no longer a legit way to find it except via PAF. Fast forward to recently and I revived it, as I'm keen to complete the 100 Oldest and Finest challenge and this would be a nice nearby qualifying cache. I admire the great lengths the CO has gone to, in order to keep this one going, and I wanted to advise on my own efforts thus far: After personally visiting every available site listed, I can report that most are still OK. The WP near Southbank is now locked off, but the answer can be googled readily. The New Farm GZ didn't reveal any signs with the info required. The Corinda cache seems to be MIA, and the co-existing GCA cache called Francis has been adopted as the one and only cache. It has a 'clue' listed inside but that's nothing to do with this series. After doing what I could with the digits I had, I created coordinates which matched all the available clues in all the right places, satisfied the first and then the second checksum... But were still clearly wrong! I couldn't believe it but I double-checked everything and was so disappointed I turned my attention to other puzzles. I'm sure if I apply a bit more maths to it, I can find another combination which places the cache in a more likely spot. Hope to be back soon with better news and thanks again.

Look no more? Ok, done. I first started looking in 2009 for the various required geocaches for this series. Sadly as time has marched one, most have been archived, never to be found by me. But, I am proud to see I managed to find 4 of the required 8 while they were still kicking along and I still often think about 2 of those as particular favourites. Now only this one left that can be found. I've looked up, down, back and out! Never had I taken much notice of this final being it's only in recent times I've been making the trip up this way from home on the Southside. I cast my mind back, surfed Google streetview, asked a few mates and went on some detours to seemingly random locations in order to get myself to this one. A couple of times I have been meaning to stop by here, but you know how it goes. Today the traffic was slow and after a 40 minute drive had thus far taken over an hour, I chose to dart out along this road less traveled and go for a look. The parking location was found and I trotted into the area. I thought I had studied the map of tracks here, but I apparently took a wrong turn somewhere and wound up bush-bashing when the track I was on ran out. I don't even know how I managed that. But a few metres from GZ I crossed the track I should have been on and disappeared into the trees once more. It seems only logical that you ought not look no more once you've found the geocache and for me, I spotted it pretty quickly. It's not every idle Thursday afternoon you find a geocache well over 10 years old so I took the time to sit down, check out the contents (all in good condition) and read the original logbook. How fascinating! With the looking ceased I headed back to the car via a slightly better route than I arrived by. A great series and wonderful that it was implemented so early for geocaching in Queensland. While it is sad that the others have nearly all gone, it is magnificent to see this one live on. TFTC dohertys, a favourite point for all the above Will you be at the.. GC4X31B Queensland Geocaching Mega-Event - Stanthorpe 2015!

TFTC dohertys, a favourite point for all the above

I first started collecting clues for this cache in 2006. At the time a few were off line and I never finished the series. Jump forward 8 years plus and while trying to remove unfound caches from various locations I turned my mind back to resolution of this situation. So while you many be surprised it took so long to complete this task I'm even more surprised as one of my other interests (make that main interest) is MTB riding. Once I finalised this puzzle it was clear that I often ride past this spot and no doubt have ridden past over a hundred times without realising that a cache was in reach of the trail. Look No More you say, well I suggest this cache will never give me any rest as it is likely at least once a week I'll now have a casual glance over to the right as I ride down the trail. To me the cache will now be "Look More"

This was on the list to visit today, as with it being one of the oldest still active caches in Queensland it is one that I really wanted to find. There was a little bit of talk with another cacher which helped to arrive at the coords, and so a visit was part of the plan today. I found a parking spot close to one of the many trailheads into this area and soon was wandering through a nice piece of bushland. As I arrived near to GZ there was one particular spot that I thought worth checking and sure enough the cache was there ready and waiting. I got my name added to the log and was soon replacing the container and heading on. TFTC

I really enjoyed what 'Looking' caches that I could find and I used whatever clues I could get on those caches. I had to do a little research to obtain a good looking set of numbers for this puzzle, and a little research I did. I was also surprised to see this one exceeded the minimum limit on placement, but I love how some of the old puzzles do such things. Well, I have to admit I was anticipating a view on this one, and I was dissapointed I never got the bike off the ute. Anyway, it was a nice little walk and nice way to start off my Saturday. Thanks Dohertys, I am starting to send a few logs your way now and I am happy about that. #34

Out on the dark side on the geocycle today. Hoping to round up a few smileys so that my numbers are right for a milestone cache on Saturday. Time for jsut one more on the way back to the car. What an awesome one to choose to finish the day. The ride up to GZ was tricky, but doable and worth the effort. The cache was located after a short hunt and then the fun could begin. Ride back down the trail I had just ridden up. Wooohooo!!!

Out of the house for a few hours and found myself in the area. I've done the miles on this one over the last year or two and had come up with a likely set of numbers, which I hit the checksums properly. Yippee. But, then it took a long time to get around to heading out this way again. Today was the day for this cache. I found a likely park, hmmm, been to this spot a few times actually. OK, off I went for a lovely little trundle along the path. All quiet today, just me, some birds and the occasional grass rustling off to the side for who knows what. Zeroed in on 'the spot', and it was a hole in the ground ... what? nah, I must of got something wrong. Looking looking looking .... Look around, ah, about 5m over there was a more likely looking option ... and yes, a closer glance at it revealed that's what I wanted. Lovely container, I like that a lot. Looking No more! Thanks for placing this cache, dohertys. Easter weekend 2nd-6th April 2015 in Stanthorpe, QLD.
Out with Lady membsec, Outback Di and Net88 for another fun ladies day caching adventure. Seeing as Lady M had already found this one we left her to guard Spangle. After a very steep decent and then a very steep climb we arrived at GZ. It only took a small hunt until the cache was in our hands. Somehow I missed the cache when I searched for it in the same spot that Net88 found it in We left our autographs and then replaced the cache as we had found it. Thanks for the cache dohertys
Wow what an adventure for me ..climbing up n down these hill.big Q...is will I make it through the day ... Yerp I did what a gr8 day with Nyssa ,membsec n nett88....Thanks for the fun day girls...& TFTC
I had secured final coordinates for this cache some time ago. They had just been sitting in my phone waiting for an opportunity to go and grab it. Today apparently was that day. I was out for the usual crazy Ladies day of Geocaching with Nyssaflutterby, Lady Membsec and today also joined by Outback Di. Nyssaflutterby mentioned she had coordinates as well and asked if I would like to do the walk with her. Yes, yes i would. We parked the car and crossed the road leaving Lady Membsec to watch over Spangle as she had already found it. We were soon heading downhill and that worried me because I knew I would have to battle with the up hill on the way back. At one stage we were very close to a cache I had previously found along with a bush of spiky, prickly plant which got me carried back to the car. Today I was more on the ball and soon we were only metres from GZ. We fanned out and starting searching. Nyssaflutterby searched one spot in particular but came up empty. Funnily enough when I checked that spot when we were giving up I spotted a cache. Don't you hate it when containers forget to remove their invisibility cloaks We signed the logbook and replaced the cache before starting our walk back to the car. Thanks for the cache Dohertys.
