Thanks for finding and reattaching to the tree! I passed through about a week before the previous finder and couldn't locate it - didn't think to look down!*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
There is now water in the creek. I managed to get one boot muddy while pussyfooting over to the tree. I spent quite some time looking up in the tree to see if I could see the container before attempting to climb. Not having much success, I noticed my shoelace was undone, so I bent down to do it up and there was the cache lying on the ground right beside my other foot. Im not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, so after signing the log, I climbed up the tree and secured the cache above where I found it, so the next person can climb the tree to find it. On the way back up the highway to the Capricorn marker (see photo) we saw a dingo being chased by a murder of crows. The way the dog was cringing and turning back fearfully, we suspect the crows had murder on their minds. Dont know what he did to them, but they werent gonna let him get away with it.
Another oldie on the target list but with no other caches around, this cache was always going to be searched for just so the legs could get a stretch. The entire Brissy TEA party were that keen to get out of the car that a writing implement was forgotten. I volunteered to walk back to grab a pen. Thanks TeamAstro for keeping this oldie on life support.
A wander down the dry creek bed and we spotted the cache. Then a wander back to get a pen.... TFTC!
A quick find after we walked in on the dry creek bed. Thanks for the hide and highlighting this interesting geographic feature.
Well that was easy, I turned around and there it was. Signed log and replaced. Thanks to CO Picking a few LGA'S on our trip.
Trip to Boulia and this cache caught my attention. Not a Comet cache but it is a Team Astro cache from 2003.After picking up Comet Moon cache last weekend, its nice to pick this one up this weekend.Been looking at the oldest 100 caches for 10 years, and the ones in the outback I always filed away as one dayMakes me wonder how many LGAs have I visited on the Tropic of Capricorn, but I do know I visited that line of interest north of Alice Springs.Lovely old cache.Ordinary new container set up.Cheers Astros

We are off on a trip to the Birdsville Races and then across to Queensland - the plan is for about 6 weeks of travel - all going well.
Week 1 we have travelled from Portland to Farrell's Flat near Clare.
Week 2 was Clare to Port Augusta.
The races are run and now we are heading for Mount Isa with a couple of overnights along the way. We visited the Min Min display in Boulia - they have put a lot of work into it. And despite 2 nights out here we have only amazing tales of big red moons to tell.
Thanks for contributing to our holiday TeamAstro

Great to be able to tick another of Queenslands oldest caches. Cache is in excellent condition. We are heading to QOGM 2023 via Birdsville. Tftc
TFTC found with Algae quick drive by. Got a couple of thorns in my socks on the way down but soon sighted it.

We are on a Bucket List Trek, from Busselton, in the South West corner of Australia, up to Cape York, Australia's most Northern land point.
We are travelling through several iconic tracks, through the Gawler Ranges, the Oodnadatta Track, the Birdsville Track, the Bloomfield Track and the PDR Track to Cape York.
As we meander across this awesome country, we stopped here to enjoy the scenery, check out the history and wonder what life was like here in the Outback all those years ago.
Thanks to the CO's for adding to our journey as we head to Cape York.
A little bit of maintenance here

On my way to NT via Birdsville Queensland with a few detours for shires. TFTC.
Great to spend some time here. Didn't see any lights, just lots of vans traveling north.

One of the main reasons for our detour today, who could resist picking up one of Queensland top 100 oldies. Besides it’s good to travel new roads and experience new things. Cache found quickly, which was good, signed and return it time to head to Mt Isa.
Found at 2:29:00 PM(t) GAFF1.
Stopped on the side of the road with the van as far off as we could without it toppling over, then headed into the scrub which looked thick and tall, but wasn't that bad after all. Arrived at GZ and immediately spotted a container, but it was not the "regular" that is described in the cache description. Opened it up and - yep - that's a geocache alright with a new log book courtesy of L&B
Thanks TeamAstro.
Feedback: The container size is now a "small" and not a "regular" as per the cache description.

While on our way to Birdsville we were happy to spot this Team Astro cache. We searched long and hard in line with the hint but to no avail. Turned our attention to the long grass and there was the poor container broken and sodden. Problem rectified with a new container and log and placed in accordance with the hint. Thanks Team Astro for arranging and fav point
Found it with deaf group

Stopped by on a maintenance check. There was already a nice new Sistema container in place so all I ended up doing was a clean up of the area. Bagged the log book and removed the old cache. All good here.
Found on our outback adventure.
Caching with Beaker and Karlth2021.
Thanks to those following us that replaced the cache.
we would have if we had extra on board.

Found with Kellmik and Karlth2021 on our 15 day, 7000+ km trip around the outback taking in iconic locations such as the Gawler Ranges, Googs Track, Kingoonya, Woomera, Oodnadatta Track, Marree, Birdsville Track, Mungerannie, Birdsville, Bedourie, Boulia, Diamantina NP, Winton, Longreach, Windorah, Haddon Corner, The Dig Tree, Innamincka, Old Strezlecki Track, Milparinka, Silverton and Broken Hill.
In all is was an absolutely fantastic trip with lots of wonderful things to see.
This cache was one of over 120 that we found during our outback drive.
Found the tainted and damaged container on the ground, logbook and lid laying on the dirt. We had already run out of containers so signed the logbook and replaced in a tree branch as best we could with the lid protecting the log. Reading logs from the same day, it looks as though the cache container has already been replaced by a group that came and visited the same day after us. We didn't see any Min Min lights

We passed the Tropic of Unicorn and soon found ourselves here. First we spotted some swag and then the cache container that some inconsiderate bovine had used as a commode. Finally we spotted the lid in a tree and it miraculously had the intact log with it. Wayn0 replaced the container and we left our mark. Thanks for the cache

Brad&Janet are heading to Coolum Beach to get the house-on-wheels serviced at the mother factory.
But which way to go?
The decision has been via Burra, Maree, Mungeranie, and Birdsville so far.
Having traversed the Birdsville Track without incident Brad broke the h-o-w in the Birdsville Caravan Park. D’oh!
Repair plan A resulted in a broken drill bit.
But surprisingly plan B worked!
You would think that in 9 years at University someone would have taught Brad what a roll pin was and how it works. Nope.
Brad blames the inadequate syllabi of the Medical and Business schools.
Today it was time to choose again. North was selected with Boolia and the Min Min lights the target.
Of course one could not ignore either the Tropic of Capricorn of the nearby TeamAstro cache. The sign at the TOC mentions the local grasses in detail extolling their virtues but completely fails to mention how spiky they are. Or the thorns.
Cache found in good order.

We are heading off on an outback adventure with Mrs Just a Trifle looking forward to visiting Goodward Station in Boulia, which was once owned by her grandfather, and Mr Just a Trifle hoping to climb Ayers Rock before it is permanently closed to climbing
As usual, with responsibilities caring for grand children and elderly parents, we still can not take the time we would really like to explore this great land of ours so yet again it is mostly an express trip through some terrific locations.
We had no difficulty in locating the cache and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our way.
Thank you TeamAstro for placing the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Found while on the way south after visiting the lands north of the 'line'. Left a TB that likes desert caches. TFTC Team Astro.
After spending a great 5 weeks going up north then west, it was time to head east then south to get home.
I had planned to do this area 2 years ago but a blown motor put a stop to that between Three Ways and Mt Isa.
Stopped and took a photo of the area as I did the same on the way on the Stuart Hwy.
Didn’t see any Min Min lights either but it was daylight.
Everything is so dry around here and no cattle to be seen but plenty of poo.
I soon found the correct tree and had the log signed.
Thanks Team Astro TFTC.

With Fangsoki and Crew153 in the mighty Canyonero, we hit the outback in search of the oldest and finest Queensland has to offer. 6000+ kms in 8 days - an epic journey. Day three and we are here. One of the hardest to get to (for us) of the oldest 100 caches in QLD we trundled along the roads through Boulia and south to the Tropic, and beyond to this lovely little spot. No water in the creek this day (or for many many many days leading up sadly). A few cows showing scant interest in the three of us as we trotted across the landscape to GZ. A few passersby honking their horns in greeting (or confusion). Once signed we stopped at the tropic nearby for photos.
Having stayed overnight 'up the road' in Middleton we did look out for the lights, but not for us this trip.
Thanks TeamAstro for entertaining me at this location.

When Fangsoki and Pprime (P') mentioned about a road trip to get the old caches in outback Queensland I jumped at the chance to see some of our great country. The 8 day tour covered some 6,000km and a day on a boat in the Whitsundays. I wouldn't have missed the adventure for the world.
It was a detour from the main route of our tour to get to this one but with the age of the cache it was a no brainer to take the detour.
We pulled up on the road and took a stroll into the wilderness. I'm glad that it was dry at present as the depth of the hoof holes in what has been the muddy ground were impressive.
Fangsoki and I had walked past the cache without it and it was Prime who came up with the find.
Thanks for showing us this unique part of the world.

Pprime, Crew 153, and I were out hunting for old caches - and of course this one came onto our radar. It was a 160km round trip out of our way - but it must be gotten!
To our suprrise, this road was in really good condition. We eventually arrived at GZ and made our way into the bush. We got a toot from some folks we overtook some kilometres back.
We arrived at GZ and Pprime spotted the cache safe and sound. I managed to bump my head on a nearby branch which really hurt. But enough of that - there were logs to be signed. We signed the log and returned the cache to its home.
We took a couple of minutes out to go check out the Capricorn monument about 3km away from GZ and took some more snaps. Back to Boulia with us!

On a road trip to Darwin with muggle mate we stopped here near the Tropic of Capricorn. I wandered over and found it quickly. Not too high for a shorty like Brew. TFTC
Heading back south across the line. Cache is in good order, with logbook going back to 2007! Thanks Team Astro for the cache.
I've been out at Birdsville for the races with some muggle friends. We are heading back to Toowoomba, heading north up this road before going across to Winton. They are slowly learning to accept me wanting to stop to find these geo-things, as they call them. I couldn't come all this way and not stop to get a smilie here!
So we all pulled over - big bus and trailer, and two cars and caravans - and everyone waited while I raced back a couple of hundred metres and then over to the correct tree to find this cache. Hmmm the clue had me worried for a minute but within a few moments I'd spotted the cache.
My signature was added to the log, and I returned it. All is good with this cache.
Thanks for this hide out here in the dirt and dust and wind today. We headed a few kms north around the corner to the free camp site by the creek afterwards. The fellas put rods and things in the water, and I've decided to deal with my hangover by having a few beers and catching up with my gc logs. Time will tell if that is a good idea or not, lol.

Found on our way from Bedourie to Boulia. Great to find a cache along that route. The lookout was magnificent with 360 views. Thanks for adding to the journey with your cache.
Found nice and easily while driving thru the area. We agree it is not a 3.5 terrain rating - thank goodness. A favourite for being the only one out here. Cache in good shape.
Nice quick easy find would not call it a 3.5 terrain. I was nearly going to give this one a miss as we were travelling with a couple of muggles and did not want to hold them up but I was very pleased I headed in as the cache is in easy reach all good hereTftc
Tagging along with the "Rats" on holidays has it's advantages, not only do we get to see our cool country but we also get to do a heap of caching as Dad just can't help himself and has to stop at every cache he can.
Heading across Australia on nearly every dirt road possible we stopped and found your cache as part of our adventure and for that, I thank you! Sorry about the log being a "cut n paste" but tthats just because we stopped at so many caches.

Apologises for the late log in some cases but we are only just catching up on our logging now that we have arrived back home. Your cache makes up many of the great memories we now have from the adventure. The faceplate style log doesn't detract from the experience we had finding the cache.
Thanks

Today was hot and sunny, but we still had to dodge the lying water and the sticky mud areas as we walked through the long green growth to get to this cache. This was managed successfully and the cache was soon in hand. Everything was high and dry with this container and the log soon had our name on it, before we retraced our steps to the road. Thank you to TeamAstro for placing this cache.
Travelling around Australia.
We are now catching up on a few weeks of backlogs due to having no internet for nearly 3 weeks.
Travelling from Bedourie to Boulia with Tassie Trekkers so that we can view the Camel Races this weekend we made sure to stop in here to find your cache. Cache was in good order. Unable to camp here as the area is boggy and full of holes we had to continue on towards Boulia today.
So no Min Min encounter here for us.

Walked up the creek bed and made a quick find of this cache container. It was fairly brittle but the contents were dry. Wandered back the easier way. Thanks for the cache, been a while since the last one which was at birdsville and 78 kms to the next. Wouldn't want to be chasing numbers out here!!!
Quick stop before heading onto the gulf. With tweety2

Coming south from Boulia by light of day so no lights seen. Observed that it was much warmer on the north of the creek than the south. Tropic of Capricorn must be real. Either that or it was because the cold southerly was being blocked by the tree line. Thanks Astro for the cache
Thanks TeamAstro for yet another one on the ToC. Glad to report that this one is all in good order. It hadn't been logged for a while. Can you believe that a few days before there had been some showers of rain pass through the area and we had to watch our step a bit 'cos the ground was a bit soft underfoot! We noted the spot on our way down to Birdsville for our last concert in the Graham Rodger Country Music tag-along tour. 55 caravans followed Graham doing 15 concerts around 15 country towns. Has been great. Started in Miles. Finished at Birdsville. Back to the cache. Didn't see any sign for the ToC. Sadly it must have disappeared. RoamingParsons from Bargara near Bundaberg.
Great spot. Very dry. We camped just down the road. Thought I saw the Min Min!! But is was only the wife coming back from a midnight wander with her torch!! Oh well. TFTC
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Her Majesty at 11:45am. It is hot today on these open plains. The cache is in good condition and well hidden. TFTC
This is a well hidden cache with no chance of back scratching cows knocking this one down! Contents are in good condition. Another find on our way from Boulia to Birdsville for the races. TFTC
