Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache "Dell-icious" has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page†and clicking the link of your cache.

If another cacher is watching this cache and wants to help out with the reenabling of this cache please contact the cache owner to offer your assistance.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Please don't hesitate to respond with an explanation if it's been misjudged or after you've amended it to meet the guidelines.

Thanks,
embi

Any news on this cache? The status hasn't changed in a while now....

Will check to see if plate is still there some time this week. Will probably move the cache also and update accordingly.

This was the first cache I did along with the rest of my family in tow. No problems finding the first two caches, but at the second cache I couldn't seem to find the manufactures plate and it looked as though it has been removed, Can some one confirm this who knows this cache?
Anyway even though we didn't find the lunch box we still had fun.

The trouble with 'count the letters' clues is that I never know where to stop counting letters! Do I only count the letters that make up the sign's message, or do I include the letters that spell the name of the electricity company? The company logo consists of two letters: do I count them too? As a result, I tried four different locations in search of the second clue, one of them outside the park, to no avail. Sad I ended up "doing a Quasar" and made an intelligent guess. This, and the decrypted clue revealed the cache.

As others have reported, several non-cachers have located this cache. One pair has "found" it three times! I hate seeing caches archived, but I think this one really needs to be moved. It irks me that these muggles are helping themselves to the goodies at 'our' expense. Twisted TNLN, although there was no pen in the cache, so I did at least leave that.

Thanks for a challenging cache that took me over two hours to complete! Surprised

Will visit this weekend hopefully to

a) Fill with new contents
b) Move to a more hidden location
c) Ensure co-ordinates are accurate

I was going to disable but thought I might as well leave it until it is moved.

Found at 1745. took nothing and left white tiger figure. again like everyone else my GPS was pointing me to toally the wrong area however not to worry - tania lept around to somewhere and me saying no- it's not over there *oops*. thanks to supersnazz however I'd agree with quite a few others in moving this one to a totally new area (ie not in the rocks) due to some people spoiling it. Great area and lovely walk all the same! covered well before leaving.

BeccaJ's first cache find with a GPS! Big Grin

Found at 8.30pm. It was about 8 metres away from where the GPS was directing me to, but it was very exposed and I saw it easily. I have covered it up a bit better.

This was one of my childhood parks so it was great to get back and see how it had changed.

Took nothing and left nothing.

Thanks Supersnazz.

Found at Midday
As per most others, the GPS lock on the last location was a few metres out, but the cache was well hidden in a good spot once you realise where you are really supposed to be.
I would agree with the others to move the last location as these guys are just emptying the cache and putting it back in the hope that there will be more goodies to swipe later.

This is a great park and we actually filmed a promotional video of this area in this very spot just a few weeks ago.
Exchanged Dragonfly for Horse.
Thanks, D,H,S,K,H & A B-A

Found on the shirt tails of kiwideb. No swap made, cache is almost empty. Thanks supersnazz. Dale had fun playing in the park after our find.

Finally got back to this one after trying to find it when it was 1st released. Actually had the co-ordinates since then too. Found the cache at about 1215pm. There seems to be a couple of boys who empty out the cache. They log their visit each time they do. So I didn't do a swap. There really isn't much in there. The cache was well hidden and I tried to cover it as best as I could when I left. I had actually searched in this area on my 1st trip Sad. Oh well it wasn't meant to be at least I found it this time round took me all of 2 minutes Big Grin.

Thanks supersnazz.

Found by Cat (again, while I was fiddeling with the GPS) in a spot 6 metres from where I was being directed. With all the accidental finds, re-covering and re setting co-ords, I was not very confident of finding this cache. However Cat decided to go over to a new area and within 5 seconds found it.

Took the combo suitcase lock and left an orange butterfly clip.

Thanks Supersnazz.

The GeoQuacks visited this cache on his way to pick up a family member for our Christmas party. Thanks for the cache. It was very well hidden and the GPS was a bit all over the place, but fortunately we found it quickly – more by sound than sight.

Made no exchange. Thanks Supersnazz and a MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone.

After finishing the Christmas shopping, we needed a GeoCache fix and a place to walk the dogs so this cache looked good. Had no trouble with the first two locations and the third location put us exactly on a promising group of rocks. A fairly long and fruitless search followed. Eventually we gave up on these rocks and about 10m away we had success at 8:30pm. The cache was in a hole but completely exposed so we should have seen it from the original location (or just about anywhere around the lake). It was a bit embarrassing that we didn't see it earlier and have made a mental note to first scan the complete area around a cache site. Took a Gyro Top (very cool) and left a large blue plastic Dragonfly to enjoy the lake. We greatly improved the cover so it will be very hard to see. Sorry future searchers.

There had been a revisit by a non-GeoCacher (Matt & Mark) since the last "official" visit by frankij. They left a properly wrapped Christmas present!! We wondered if the exposed nature of the cache is not a coincidence. Maybe the non-GeoCachers do it deliberately so that more people will "join the fun" but eventually a nasty person will find it. It might be a good idea to change the cache location to reduce the accidental finds. What do you think Supersnazz? You could take the Christmas gift and give future GeoCachers a more permanent target by putting it somewhere else.

A good search! Interesting that this cache has more log entries by park visits who are not geo-cachers than who are. All have done the right thing, which is great. Some have made swaps. A great flood came down the valley on Dec 3rd but the cache is in good condition. I think it increased the leaf and debris cover on the cache.

Found at 2.30pm
Maybe it was my GPS but all the co-ords were well off the mark, by upto 20m.
I made assumptions in each case and was correct, luckily.
A pleasant stroll on a sunny day with nobody around to intrude on my search.
Found after circling GZ several times
Took Yoda TB and left a pen set.
Cache was well covered and I left it that way.
Thanks Supersnazz

Hmmm...Just read the last note from Supersnazz. I found the cache today, not well hidden at all. I think someone else had found it. There were 3 accidental finds in the log, can't remember when the last one was though. This is a very public place, maybe it could be moved a bit further from the path. Anyway, I left the Yoda TB, and covered it over quite well. Good to see the accidental finders have stayed in the spirit of the game, though I think some have taken a bit more than they replaced.

Also I couldn't find the second clue. The co-ordinates left me in the middle of the grass. I made an educated guess at the co-ordinates and decrypted the clue, then had no trouble finding it.

Decided to visit the cache and see how it was. Cache contents are virtually non existant. Will add some contents when I get a chance. If anyone feels generous...
The cache is now really well hidden and covered with leaves and sticks deep in the gap. Could people please make an effort to leave the cache in a similar condition.

After finding the clues and doing the maths, I headed for GZ. When I arrived there, the cache was sitting in the open for all and sundry to see. When I opened the cache, everything was still there.

The log book revealed 4 sets of non-cachers having found the cache - Steveo, Amy, Matt & Mark, and MXSI. Most left it untouched or made their own exchange. One ended up leaving an empty beer can. There wasn't much to swap so I just ended up leaving a glitter glue and a combination suitcase lock.

A quick call was made to Maccamob to ascertain where the cache should have been hidded. Hopefully it is less likely to be found now. Thanks Supersnazz for an enjoyable cache.

Found fairly easily after correcting our maths error! Great spot and our dog enjoyed the walk too. Nothing exchanged. Greg and Bev

Found 12:15, after a brief search, found the first two waypoints to be a little out but managed to piece together the puzzle. Took severed finger (we might have some fun with this) and left Roman Legionnaire, one of Varus’s perhaps? Thanks Supersnaz.

Great suburban park. Found it at lunchtime on a beautiful October day. Was bit worried about the Magpies that were eyeing me off, but I wasn't attacked. But then the fish managed to scare the pants off me.

Found it quite easily and was pretty exited as this was my first cache. Tried a few befor but just figured today that my Etrex was using Aus Geo 84 datum and not the WGS84 datum. Wondered why I kept getting directed into peoples backyards on previous trips at different caches!!
Swapped half of the keyring for a wooden massager thingy.

Co-ordinates are now correct. Went there last night and took waypoint. Not sure where I went wrong. Sorry about the inconvenience. Thanks to maccamob for providing coordinates and for searching for cache without a waypoint.

Found by Mary & David at 1410. The park was close enough after leaving "The Treasure of Big Woop" that we thought we'd have another look. This time we ignored the GPSr and just went looking. A lovely walk in the park again with no threat of rain this time. A few other walkers about and some workers doing maintenance. Once we found a place that matched the hint, we soon had the cache. Had the camera out to fool the walkers as we sat to fill in the log. Fascinating to watch a pair of wattle birds swooping for insects in the lake and getting very wet in the process. Hadn't thought of them as waterbirds. Later a duck came to visit as well. Took the 30-year calendar, left a carabiner keyring. Our thanks to Supersnazz for the extra challenge. Loved it! We'll email our cache coords to you separately.

Looks like somethings wrong. Will check numbers and see what we can find. Sorry

Mary & David were here mid-morning and had the same problem. Final GZ was well outside the park, so we gave it away until the numbers are corrected.

Well thought I could find this one before I hit the sack after coming off night shift. Found all the clues easier enough but my final location was at a private house Sad. Will email owners with my answers and see what I get back.
Lovely park.

Enjoyed the walk even if I didn't locate the cache.
