I guess this is what would be called a cammo. Someone had left a Tassie Rocks painted inside, I swapped it for a NSW rock that I was planning to drop here.
TFTC. Walked wave rock and hippos a loop. Found cache forgot pen. Drive back to sign log. Stayed at CVP last night.
TFTC. Visited Wave Rock and Hippos Yawn yesterday and today. Very nice place and nice hiding spot.
Mein Sohn hat mir puleikis diese Cache gefunden und mich mit eingetragen. Leider bin ich aber nicht vor Ort.My son found this cache for me and registered me with it. Unfortunately I'm not there.
Coordinates are a bit off, but with a picture in the logs I managed to locate the right spot.. Geocache is in great condition.
Find number 14435 at 12:26:10pm on Wednesday the 9 October 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leisurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back.Well, WA Goes Big is done for another year and we are on our way home again now, via Perth, Kalgoorlie and the Nullarbor but slowly over the next five weeks Today we went for a trip to check out Wave Rock and surrounding area.Searched for a little bit without luck but the hint had me on it in no time **Thanks for placing this cache Wakiwi**---*WOW, so much happening at home in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.
Grabbed this on our way back from our loop from Perth to the western coast caves along the coastline, down to the sw point and along to Albany and then up to here before returning to Perth. Thanks for the souvenir smiley!!
Looked every where for a palm. Thinking to myself what in earth is a palm doing out here. Its a Lepidospernum not a palm but tanks for the cache. Its great to be able to play all the way out here.
An easy early morning find as we were leaving Wave Rock on the way to Esperance, thanks.
Couldn't really identify a palm but I'm not a botanist.Previous log helped with picture.
Quick find while in the area with KINWlG. Thanks for bringing us here. Cache is in good shape
Visiting Wave Rock for the first time. We were pleased to see this old trad at Hippos Yawn as this was next on the list. Found the cache after looking in all the too hard places first. TFTC Wakiwi.
On our travels we found ourselves at the hippos yawn and took the opportunity to grab this cache, a nice quick find, thanks for placing it
Were on a 2 week holiday in Western Australia just cruising around and exploring. Whooohoooooo love an oldie! The hint seems outdated now so it was a bit of searching around. Found and signed with plenty of room on the log. TFTC, from Brisbane. #1495
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we arrived in Perth by plane this morning. We picked up our rental car and drove to Hyden. We had an early flight so we arrived early at our hotel. There is still plenty of time to visit Wave Rock. This cache was found during this visit.**Wakiwi**, thanks for the cache.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. We had about three weeks in New Zealand which went by too quickly. The remaining five weeks are spent in Australia. Very early today we had a flight to Pert from Adelaide. We had uneventful flight, had a bit of trouble getting our rental but now we are on our way to Hyden. The adventage of an early flight is that we arrived early and have almost a full day. After we had settled down in our hotel we went out for a nice walk along Hippos Yawn, lake Magic and the Wave Rock. Here we had to search for quite a while although the hide is not that diffucult. All's well that ends well. Thank you very much for the nice big box.
Not sure Id say its your classic palm, but none the less, well worth visiting wave rock. TFTC
Heute diesen Cache nach etwas suchen auch gefunden. Besten Dank frs legen und pflegen.
3 found it very fast, but had to learn and practice restraint as it was another's turn to find! No pen/pencil and forgot our own, so didn't sign the log. TFTC.
Trouve assez rapidement.
First find after a long period away from geocaching (probably years). Done it to show some friends how fun the search can be. My first and only find outside Europe! TFTC
Tough cookie. My coordinates were way off but finally managed to localize. Was staying nearby and this made a fantastic evening stroll. Thanks and best from Bavaria Madhome
Co ords were spot on for us using phone as gps, I think it's called sword grass, no palm trees in sight tftc
Easy find, dodging the muggles was the main issue but easy enough to spend sometime at this awesome formation. Great location. Tftc Care re muggles.
GPS coords seem a bit out of whack. Cache is not where the tree has fallen - just as we were giving up we spotted it! TFTC
Found it after a little bit of bush bashing:) no pen so couldnt log our find in the notebook:(
I believe a large tree has fallen over cache. So I cant get to GZ. I have attached a photo.
A nice quick find after checking out the hippo.
I found your D1.0/T1.5 Regular Traditional called Wave Rock 2 on 14 September 2023. It was find #18399 for me. Thank you Wakiwi for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of Western Australia.

An easy find thanks to the hint. If you like wave rock, then can I recommend travelling north to Elachbutting rock. It is just as impressive but a whole lot more natural with a beaut free camp site at the rock.
After doing the EC at Wave Rock I walked around to Hippo's Yawn and found this cache as well, thanks for keeping this old cache alive and

Thanks for the cache. A great way to add some extra interest to the Wave Rock loop.
Visiting from the east and heading to the WAGB event and caching along the way and at the event and areas around Narrogin then on to Kulin and back to Perth via a quick visit to Albany. Thanks to all the various COs for placing caches (or EC and virtuals) for us to locate, learn and explore. Signing as Team East+2.
We spent the night at wave rock and wandered over here to see hippos yawn. Cool formation! Grabbed the path tag. Tftc
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Camped at Wave Rock for a couple of days, and today was the day for the walk around Wave Rock and Hippo's Yawn. Had a lovely wander, took lots of photos and enjoyed the scenery. Arrived at Hippos yawn, and after taking more photos and waiting for a pair of muggles to leave, it was time to wander to GZ and make a find. Headed for GZ along the geotrail only took a short while to locate the hide, sign the log and replace as found.

Today we drove to Wave Rock, and then back to Narrogin via the Tin Horse Highway. This is one of the caches I found with PamJ.
Found with PamJ, actually she found it while I was earthcaching nearby, so all I had to do was sign the log and leave a parhtag. Lovely location, all in good order with several old logbooks too.
Thanks Wakiwi, for giving back to the game.

Found with gmj3191 during our wagb2023 adventure. Thanks for bringing us to this great spot.
These rocks are amazing. Thanks.
Brad and Janet are on another epic journey.?This time it involves many of Len Beadell’s 6500km of roads including the Anne Beadell, the Connie Sur, the Heather, the Neale, the Gun Barrel Highway, the Gary, the Talawana Track, the Gary Junction Rd and more.
And of course a 2 day visit to Maralinga which Len also located, surveyed and largely built as he had with Woomera and Emu. An amazing man.
If you don’t know of him he wrote some wonderful books. Laconic with a dry sense of wit, they are an excellent read. They are also available as audiobooks as is a recording of his brilliant after dinner talk one evening in Shepparton. Worth a listen.
And now the Moon Tours trip is over we are heading back to Adelaide via whichever way takes our fancy after a few days rest and repair in Karratha. Almost certainly down the WA Coast before heading to Hyden and the land of the Salmon Gums.

Nice find but got caught by two old muggles. Told them about geocaching. May be two more people doing it now. Tftc
TFTC and a nice wonder to find it and more interesting rocks. Love this area. We are visiting from the Hunter Valley in NSW
On a big road trip to Perth - Brim, Paruna, Murray Town, Kooma View Farmhouse, Penong, Nullarbor Roadhouse, Mundrabilla Roadhouse, Caiguna Roadhouse, Norseman, Kalgoorlie and Wave Rock. Today we are leaving Wave Rock and heading into Perth for a Family wedding, but before hitting the road we had to pick up one last cache at Hippos Yawn. Even with the help of the hint it still took us a while to locate, but Mrs Pooky eventually made the find. TF placing this cache here for us to find on our travels. TNLN.
Lots of big rocks, lol....but eventually found it. Thanks, from the Netherlands
TFTC JENPETEH, The H,s , South Africans living in Tassie GeoCaching our way around Australia and loving it
Woohoo our 1000th cache
Woohoo our 1000th cache
We headed to this cache after we'd photographed the Wave and explored Hyden Rock. I lost any sort of reception just after we got to the area and I had to wander around in the bush without accurate GPS co-ordinates until I actually found this. Annoyingly, after I'd done the necessities and headed back to the Hippo's Yawn, I somehow managed to get coverage again. I wonder if that huge hunk of granite was interfering?!
Thanks for find #4405

Visiting southern WA for a couple of weeks for our 40th wedding anniversary for a bit of a relax and unwind, which of course means picking up a few caches here and there in what has been a lovely quiet time with such great weather.
Who would have thought there’d be one here!
