If I get a chance I will check on the cache (I'm not the CO). As I recall it was pretty tricky to find and I doubt it would be muggled.

Can the CO please do a cache check?

28-May-14
DNF on this one today. I spent 40 mins in the GZ searching it thoroughly. Even followed the hints and found the missing WP2 film canister down where the hint describes. I suggest the CO does a cache check.

05-Apr-14
Second DNF on this one, but I believe I was at the right spot this time. It is amazing how mixing up the Latitude and Longitude make a big difference Wink Had hoped this would be #3 of 4 different Types of caches for the day, but it was not to be. Spent about half an hour looking around, and found a few bottles. Shall return, but it may pay to check it out.

22-Aug-13
Found the plaque, did the maths, then promptly set off in the wrong direction.

I still need more practice at navigating to co-ords without a big fat compass and/or a big fat map guiding the way. At least I have the co-ords for GZ now (I think) so I can find the final cache another time.

TFTH! [EDIT: Just checking the co-ords and I was going the right way and would have passed within 50m of the cache! arrrggghhhh! haha]

24-Jul-13
I actually started this one about 10 days ago by visiting WP1 and doing the maths for GZ coordinates but decided to leave the walk down Lady Game drive for another day. I was in the area again today so decided to finish it off. It took me a while to find the cache as the iPhone had me all over the place. Expanded my search area and compared a few spots to the photos before spying the cache. I haven't been on this track before so thanks for bringing me here. Left TB.

I got the information at WPT1 a few weeks ago after picking up a couple of other caches in the area but it had just started raining so I decided to put this one on hold until I was next in the area.

I needed a quick cache today so I drove down and parked the car in the nearest side street. I did not enjoy walking along Lady Game Drive, especially with my back to the traffic, but it wasn’t too far and once in the relative calm of the bush I was soon at GZ for an almost instant find. I didn’t quite expect that.

Thanks for the cache zijerfex, and for keeping it alive despite the demise of WPT2.

I always worry about getting he calculations with this type of multis especially when traipsing off onto the bush. Drdalek was looking in the right area but didnt take it far enough. TFTC

19-May-13
GPS at GZ all over the place. Logs helped narrow this one down. Waterfist turned off his navicomputer and relied on The Force instead. CIH quickly as a result! Walking along Lady Game Dr was not enjoyable. TFTC!

The coordinates are very precise and spot on.
Found with Waterfist & Dinkyfish.
I'm lichen this as a good intro to GC. TFTC.

Glad you enjoyed the cache Steam Koala. Am pleased to know that it's still in good nick. I don't get the chance to wander past very often to check on it myself.....

21-Apr-13
BLAST! I had come down from Taree to the CITO Event, and wanting to find at least a Trifecta for the day this was the second Multi that I chose to go for to offset the Virtual that I had found. Wish I had spoken to SteamKoala about his find here, as my maths seems to have taken me the opposite direction from what I belatedly read from his note. Where mine took me gave me nowhere to stop, and while the Terrain rating would have been true I wasn't sure how else to access the spot.
May check it out another time when down. (Ended up finding a Multi closer to where I used to live)

21-Apr-13
On the way to the Lane Cove CITO day I stopped in to get a couple of caches and this was one.
Parked right next to WP1 and gathered the required information then did the maths. Read further down the instructions did more maths and had a likely gz located.
Headed down the road and parked near the entrance took the walk in and spent 5 mins wandering around and over the place till there it is a nice sized cache.
I really enjoyed doing this puzzle as it was one that could be done quickly but was not too easy to get to.
Thanks to Zijerfex for this one.

This was found on our "Hurry up and get pprass to 9,999 caches" caching weekend. They are celebrating at an event in April so better be there before then!
Thanks for the cache zijerfex
Cheers from Browngang.

Found at 8:44 AM on our "Get to 9,999 cache finds before the Myriads and Milestones event on 21 April" with Browngang. This was a GAFF5 find.
A nice little adventure getting into there and some interesting history of the area. Not sure what the hint meant - still don't know.
Thanks zijerfex.

DNF. EDTAM26 thought she had the coordinates wrong after we had searched for a while in the scorching sun. Will try again some other time.

10/11/12 5:27 PM. Cache #223. Current streak: 62 days. After stumps on day 2 of Cache Us If You Can test match, it was good to just do a normal cache. Had these coords from a week ago, parked at nearest cross street and found this easily. Hardest part was walking along Lady Game. Good to have a "z" cache for the stats page, too. TFTC.

Gotta love day lights savings. Ordered a pizza from nearby, drove and calculated GZ. Went and got the pizza, which was amazing, Drove to GZ and had quite a long search in a ideal hiding spot, which happened to be the wrong. Had a look at the lichen photo and realised the rocks where I was looking were different. Cache was soon in hand afterwards. But then realised I had dropped my pen, so I took a second lichen photo to prove I was there Smile

17-Oct-12
Figured out the coords and took a short drive close to GZ. I expected a quick grab but after searching quite a while I set on a nearby rock and 'contemplated my next steps' (a codephrase for having no idea what to do). Then I gave it another go and had CIH in no-time.

Thanks zijerfex for a challenging multi!

Reperio at 0730.

Came down from Newcastle this morning for a spot of caching before heading off to NZ the following day, and with plenty of time to spare, I wanted to grab a couple of multi caches. Parked right next to WP1 where the info was soon gathered, and then with a further calculation...it was off to GZ. The coords put me in a very likely spot, but after searching through the options, I eventually widened the search area by 10m or more to find the cache. A nice little multi, and nice to have completed it.

TFTC! Second attempt- cant believe we didn't find it before!:)))

01-Sep-12
If my son was not with me would not have found it. Worth the climb.

11-Jul-12
Worked out GZ, and looked around what we thought must have been the spot for about 20mins. Had to run off for lunch with the Granma, but will definitely be back!

09-Jul-12
Took a happy snap of the plaque a few days back and worked out some coords. In my lunch hour today I ventured forth to my calculated gz only to find that it was completely overgrown and no one had obviously been there for a very long time. Still there was a likely hide so I checked it thoroughly before heading out to clearer ground.

I opened the online logbook on my phone and had a read. Clearly in the wrong spot. But maybe not that wrong. A bit of a scout around and I spied a path (about 30 metres from the gz I calculated) heading off to an area that fitted the log descriptions. Yep, this looked much more promising. I soon found what had to be gz - but no cache!

Much searching ensued but with no result. I stopped and sat on the rock that I was sure was gz and again revisited the online logs. A couple of clues made me prod in a slightly different spot - et voila! The cache. Signed and put back as found, complete with naturally accruing camo. Slight dampness in the cache itself, but hopefully the coming warmer weather will worth that out.

I realise my gz calculation error now, and am thankful that it was only slight. Thanks zijerfex, enjoyed this one a lot.

We must be wimps! We had already been on a long trek finding a number of caches and after solving for GZ, we realized we had to back a half mile to make the search and then come back to the placque to continue on our journey. We scrubbed the mission for today. Another day we'll give it a try.

01-Mar-12
Certainly an interesting bit of history for the area. Grabbed the numbers and did the maths to work out the next spot. Jumped back inthe car and it all seemed to make sence. On going to GZ it had been wet so the last little bit was slippery and we had a few close spills. Once near GZ as we tried to get the GPSr to settle the we spied teh corner of the cache in a its hide. A good side cache. SL and replaced

Interesting history - but boy did it take me a while on this one Sad Another that makes me glad to have bought the garmin, rather than just using the iPhone (reception seemed to be all over the place). Thanks for the adventure Smile

21-Feb-12
Wow. Can't believe that was so hard to find. Well covered with leaves and debris. Video is still there Wink took compass rose to move on as it seems it might lie here for quite a while. There are Bush regeneration works along the track from Allen park. A better way in might be from blackbutt creek. You could do emerald city and Stefaan on the way in. TFTC

11-Dec-11
I did the first half of this one ages ago. But the light was going and I had the geodog and didn't fancy some of the walk that would have been necessary from wpt2.

Today I had the car (an unusual event) and some spare time and headed to GZ. It took quite a search. Indeed, I had turned back at one point, defeated, and then decided to give it one last go. The GPS was not exactly stable, but I think the coords are off by maybe 12m. I spent ages on a spot that I thought the hint was suggesting, but in the end abandoned that and looked for the lichen pattern photo clue. This took me to a place I had searched before, but gave it a more thorough search and there it was.

Slightly moist, but intact and in good shape.

Left a GC. TN SL. TFTC

Sitting here now at gz lovely spot so decided to write log. Geocaching with an iPad is fun as long as I don't break it one of these days climbing up rocks! Tranquil here but i can still hear lgd. Was sorely tempted to take the Video doppelfrog photo ed but decided to leave it for some other desperado! The lichen formation on doppelfrog's photo also helps you find gz. Probably also need to thank doppelfrog and madrummager for clearing away some of the leaves. Made it a fairly easy find after I had done the maths. This was second closest to home and has been a glaring omission from my completed list so I'm really happy to get it ticked off. Tftc. Smile

03-Dec-11
Out on a morning stroll with MadRummager. Great hide. Took the two of us a while to find it; lots of scrambling around. A little oasis in the suburbs.

TFTC!

02-Dec-11
Had two of us going for well over 20 minutes. Not at all in the obvious place. Cache damp, smells mouldy, KFC game still works after 3 years. Covered in leaves made it hard. Following on from previous hint, think Pet Shop Boys (GW).

25-Oct-11
I'd taken a pic of the plaque one night about a month ago but had to wait for a return visit to the area. Today wasn't the best weather and the GPS was wandering wildly. But anyhow, I kept following it from one likely, but empty, spot to another when I spotted something a little out of place in a less likely spot. Glad to find it as it was looking like a DNF. Thanks for the interesting and previously unknown local history.

23-Oct-11
Came here a few weeks ago with the Blackberry and wandered around in circles. Today we returned with a Garmin. It first pointed to one spot which wasn't right and I thought here we go again. But then it told us 6 metres west and geoson made the find. TFTC!

At last!
Now I can sleep ay night.
Took tiny tea cup and left mivv exhaust sticker. signed log (yes it is slightly damp).

The public holiday promised less traffic, so we parked on the side of the road and headed down the trail.

We had two sets of coordinates loaded - one based on WP2 and the limited-time-only correction, and another based on a different interpretation of the instructions. The two coordinates were both close to the path, and 18m apart, so we walked along and decided the first was more likely.

We arrived at an obvious place to hide a cache, but it wasn't there. The GPS pointed to one side of where we were so we scrambled over there and looked again. We were just about to scramble down and look lower, when Geoson spotted it!

We signed the slightly damp but perfectly OK log, and replaced as found. Thanks for the hunt and another nice place.

This must be my 7th attempt at it ... Can't believe I still can't find it even with the gift of the coords Sad

02-Sep-11
We found WP1 and did the calculations some time ago on our way home north and have only just returned to complete the multi. Having parked here before we crossed the road in terror of our lives again, there is just no easy way to get there in the afternoon. A bit of a wander through the shrubs soon gave us the hiding place without too much climbing. No swaps with us, but thanks for a really excellent cache.

20-Aug-11
Finally we can cross this off the list of caches close to home. Had the details from WP1 about a year ago. Then recently thought I should tackle WP2. That was a waste of time as I later found it had been muggled and for a limited time the details from WP2 were now available.

Returned this afternoon leaving TLM Grandmother in the car while I searched. After 10 minutes or so used the PAF to Blossom who gave me an idea of GZ. Unfortunately after searching where I thought she meant and where the GPS wanted me to be for 20 minutes or so all I had was cut hands and no cache.

This called for more assistance and Blossom volunteered to help me in return for a couple of GCA finds. Finally located - GPS at GZ 15m. It was a very cloudy day.

03-Jul-11
Ooh, how frustrating. I found so many great places to hide the cache at GZ, but none of them actually had the cache there. Eventually decided that it was time to move on and search for more caches. I fear I won't be back to find this one - only one more week before I leave Sydney for good.

25-Mar-11
Had no problem working out the cache co-ordinates from WP1. However, didn't enter co-ords into gps correctly first time round and ended up in the front garden / rockery of a large 'for sale' property. Figured that the Pink Floyd portion of the clue could possibly apply here (couldn't work out ofthe half of clue), so I hung around looking in all the rock crevices and pretending to view the house and its 'for sale' sign when some people walked past with their dog! Obviously no cache at this location, but after hopping back in the car and looking at my workings, then at GPS, I realised my mistake >_> The actual GZ proved to be a much nicer location! (despite the sound of traffic carrying over) Found cache after about a 15min seach (the co-ordinates are possibly a bit out, but not by very much considering the dubious gps reception in such settings). TNLN, TFTC!! ^_^

24-Mar-11
Found this in the early evening together with Team Canary, who also corrected my calculation error.

A short romp in the bush and I quickly achieved CIH!

Retrieved the '2009 Victoria Bushfire Appeal Geocoin' to move to the Blue Mountains. LNSL.

Cache container was in good shape, and the contents -- including the log book -- were dry.

The coordinates I finally obtained from the clue were 10-12 metres off and I think I was lucky to find the cache in amongst all the rocks. This could easily have been a much longer search.

Many thanks to zijerfex!

22-Mar-11
Went back today armed with a clue from the owner and completed the great little multi.

Ahh, so a Sunday with slight rain and I though this would be a good time to finish 2 multi's together.Had final Co ords weeks ago, but was never able to stop on Lady Game Drive dure to work and traffic. Well today managed to stop close to where WP2 should be. Got on the fire trail and down to GZ. with 25 minutes of searching same as steptoe, my gps went from 7m, to 20m and I kept looping around. Once I expanded my search though, I found cache 7m off. Awesome, was getting beat up by the bush, so was happy to find it. Read log for a bit as it was nice a peaceful here. SL. Dropped 2009 Victoria Bushfire Appeal Geocoin and took TB. TFTC.

Dropped Geocoin.

10-Nov-10

I was heading home for the day and close by about 9.15am aand the traffic was shocking, so I figured I would be better off spending some time in the bush looking for a cache rather than sitting in crawling traffic, so grabbed the GPS and pulled up the GZ co-ords I had plotted previously when intended to head there but did not manage to do so.

Parked on the side of the road (eastbound - yes, narrow, but near a firetrail access it is wide enough to park - just watch for traffic before you get out/in the car) near WP2. Overall I spent about 40 minutes looking for this I think, The GPS took me to within 4M straight up, but immediately then said I needed to go another 30M away, so it did take a while to get the corrent search area. THen I looked at the approx GZ and up to 6?M to the left, twice - before finally realising that I should also look to the right, and then I spotted the container within a minute.

Signed the log, left Milwaulke TB and a ROT13 decoder tag. Thanks for the cache, it was a long (some months) time between stages.

18-Oct-10
Ahhhhh. Not sure if I got my co ords wrong, but I ended up with 2 possibilities as I was a little confused with the dates on the plaque. The first one ended up out front of someones house, so probably not it. The other, does end up in the bush, but there is nowhere to park on Lady Game Dr. I reread the logs, and somewhere there is parking. So will recheck my details and come back.

06-Oct-10
i had a small part to play in this find was fun tho hehe Smile

06-Oct-10
well well this has been a long time coming... did the first and attempted the second stage of this a while ago i think during wp2 muggle period. was planning to do it on the long weekend when i saw there was a limited time bonus but my car decided to pack it in 30m from GZ . So came back this afternoon but had - 60 from the original co-ords instead of adding and ended up searching 200m upstream for about 25mins in the middle of nowhere. re did the calcs and was back down where we had parked the cars and had the cache in minutes. TNLN feels good to get this one of the list even if my legs are a little worse for where.

Cheers

28-Sep-10
Having been foiled by the missing WP2 many months ago I noticed the lovely compensation from the CO this week and decided today was the day to put this to bed. A quick revisit to WP1 for the math then I parked at what should be WP2 for the walk in. Took some time and ultimately some luck to grab. As I was about to scramble over a rock to check a likely looking overhang I nearly put my hand on it! Phew! After a sign and lol at the video it was off to Blackbutt and Emerald City nearby Very Happy Cheers!

15-Jul-10
338 - I took the afternoon to clear out a few nemesis multis and this one fitted the bill!

Last time I went looking for this one I too got stuck at WP2 (little did I know it had been muggled!)... I had walked in from Lane Cove Road and the route to WP2 was blocked by the creek - I was not going to get stuck 30 metres from where I needed to be so I sucked it up and waded through the creek, at times almost hip deep as it turned out!! After doing that and not managing to find the waypoint suffice to say it was a long, soggy walk back to the car!

Today, armed with the clue from the owner, I headed directly to GZ!! After lots of scrabbling, peering and searching I managed to find the elusive little bugger but again I'd been foiled... NO PEN! Red Face Despite not signing I am logging with kind permission of the owner.

This cache has certainly been a memorable adventure! Many thanks

05-Jul-10
Well thanks to the cache owner's generosity in the absence of the nemesis waypoint 2 we can finally lay this one to rest. Also thanks to blossom* for the hint. We weren't anywhere near this in our search the other day and this time we only spent about 15 minutes on the job. Lots of hiding places which are merging into the natural environment over time. Made only the second find in the last year, maybe we'll see a few more now. Didn't take anything (love the video though!) and left nothing. Would have dropped a TB but it may not get picked up for a while. Thanks!

UPDATE

I checked on the cache yesterday and noticed the works in the area, but these are not near the waypoint location.
However, unfortunately, WPT has been muggled and is now gone.

Good news though is that the cache itself is still secure and in good nick at GZ.

So, for a limited time only, the cache description has been modified to lead you directly to GZ until I can return with waypoint repair kit to reinstate the infamous WP2.

Happy Hunting

Zijerfex

02-Jul-10
With a bit of a hint from a previous finder we looked for the infamous WP2 for about 20 minutes but there's been a lot of work in the area with spraycrete and all sorts of changes so if it was there it's probably gone now. Looked in every possible spot and got zero. Tried our hand looking for the GZ knowing it wasn't too far away but looked in a million promising places with no luck. It would help having GZ coords. Will skip this one for a while until confirmation of WP2 is made. Thanks.

12-Jun-10
Dropped by WPT1 on Friday for the info and walked to WPT2 from a 'nearby' cache. Blokes were working nearby making a lot of noise. We looked all over - looks like there's been some serious flood water through here. The one spot I thought it could be I couldn't remove the impediment to see. There was also an evil looking funnel web sitting a hole too. If it's behind him he can keep it!
Next time. Would be nice to know if it's still there.

21-Feb-10
FINALLY! This cache has been unfound for quite a while and a dead tree branch had fallen over GZ as it turned out!

With a new GPS bought only yesterday and some clues from hunter/finder, I headed back to look for GZ again. The new gps showed me the correct side of the track to look this time and we clambered and scambled around for quite a while. After looking in every likely spot about 6 times each, we looked in a few pretty unlikely spots for a while. Then back to the more likely spots again. Eventually strike-a-light looked in a new likely spot and found the cache! For all those who follow, the higher level is better for results. It was great to eventually get this one after so long. Big Grin

Yup just like those who have come before me. I am stuck on wp2, Gpsr was jumping all over the place and after 40 mins I gave up. Think I need a hint on this one.Sad.

11-Jan-10
Stuck on the infamous WP2 - 20 minutes search with no luck. Having read the logs now its seems I need to expand the search area a bit.

04-Jan-10
Hang in there blossom* - last time I checked the cache about 3 months ago, it was still in the original location and in good nick. I did note that the vegetation had increased somewhat since my last visit which made it more fun to get to GZ, but not impossible - just make sure you have good shoes for a bit of rock hopping.

03-Jan-10
Like most others, I've done this in stages. Well, haven't done it really! WP1 was easy but the maths had me searching for WP2 almost in the middle of the traffic! We had to give up on that and I returned later with a corrected set of co-ordnates to search fruitlessly on a very damp day Sad After a very long wait for a convenient time, I returned - on another very damp day! But this time, I didn't need to cross the water to get to my search area becasue I approached from the correct side of the road Big Grin Final co-ordinates for GZ were found after a few minutes and I headed off to where I thought it ought to be. My gps was totally usless in the heavy tree cover and I was very wet from the vegetation and the misty rain. I figure I'll try to look on google maps for a better fix on the starting point, or maybe a clear sunny day will give better gps reception. VERY frustrating!

Another beaut North Shore cache.
We have had the WP1 info for about 6 months, but hadn't had the chance to get to the WP2 for a good hunt.
Met Blossom* on the hunt. Always interesting to meet another cacher out in the field. Blossom* was in her Geo-camo bright yellow rain jacket, walking around looking under and over, in and out. As we approached I offered the geocachers greeting ... "Have you found it yet?" Anyway Blossom* was after the Kangaroo TB from the Geocash cache which is in this cache.
We all together searched for a while without success, so I decided to phone a friend .... Wandering Wilko was forthcoming with the appropriate clue (thanks mate), and we were off and into it again. However, the wet weather and terrain were against us so we chose to abandon the search, and we all left with no result.
When we got back to the car, Geo-son suggested giving it one more go .... so we did.
A couple minutes later Geo-son had it in hand. This one took a while to finish, but was well and truly worth it in the end.

Dropped by to drop off the TB Kangaroo. Also checked that WP2 was in its place, and it was.

I think that I got the correct final location because it was very close to a very busy road. Parking wasn't easy and trying to locate the cache proved even harder. I was a little worried about if where I parked was actually legal so I returned quickly to the car and headed off.

Thank you Zijerfex, I think this cache embodies the thrill of geocaching for me. I have spent many hours discovering this tract of my local region in search for this grail. On many occasions I have returned home frustrated but today determined to succeed and armed with "the vikings' " advice that this being a multicache I was at first searching for a waypoint. Then the cache. I read all the logs and hints contained within. When at last I sat upon a rock savouring the view and moment, I enjoyed that sense of achievement that can only come after a stuggle.

This cache has been on out "to do list" a long time but it wasn't until today we decided to give it a try (the first and only try) - after a nice new "drive-in" cache and "Turra falls". WP1 wasn't any problem. WP2 took a little longer to locate although we did our approach the long safe way - and if the area hasn't been burned we would have been bush bashing. Now we only turned black here and there Cool.
GZ played with the GPS for a while until I knocked into something and asked Hagar "What is this?". Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin
Nice hide - and lots of crawling guardians around.Wink
Took a Japanse doll and left a "snake pen".

First. Thanks to Hunter/Finder and zijerfex.

Well, I guess time between finds is what helps caches like these. There is HEAPS of it around and it just happens to find its way down to completely obscure a cache.

In the end the coords are within 3m of where I found the cache.

Had to search for a while but the clue Hunter/Finder gave me began to dawn and soon the cache was in hand.

Thanks for a very enjoyable cache that has helped me to learn new techniques and be more mindful of what to look out for.

Thanks zijerfex.

Took nothing.

Yes! Finally, after months of planning, searching and frustration and a hint from a fellow cacher I found it today.
This is one mean hide made worse by the amount of leaf litter over it. I even walked over it on the first pass.
Made swaps with small toys.
Signed log and sat in the sun and enjoyed the moment.

Thanks Zijerfex for the hunt and richary for the hint.

Went looking today. Had the coords worked out from a while ago but didn't have a chance to get back and the GZ.

Well, I looked, and looked and looked. Went home for lunch. Came back and searched and searched and searched some more.

As per previous log, there is lots of evidence of Bush Regeneration Brigade doing there bit.

Went home dejected.

Found long ago.Our log seems to have been lost

SadCache not found. A lot of vegetation disturbance from bush regeneration people evident. Piles of cut shrubs everywhere near GZ making searching extremely hard in places.
Will have to come back later if it hasn't been muggled.

Finally got back to this one after no luck in December. This time armed with a hint from the owner as to the location of WP2 it was quickly located having almost rolled out of it's hiding spot. Put it back with a small rock in front to stop it trying to escape again. Then had the main prize in hand after a short search. TNLNSL, thanks Zijerfex.

Started this one a couple of months ago and took the advantage of doing a near by cache to finish this one off. Phoned a fiend for assistance with WP2 and was soon signing the log.

No luck with WP2 today, the GPS definitely wanted me in a certain spot but no luck. Returned to the car to check the logs and realised I might need to expand my search somewhat but still came up blank. I think I will need to get a hint off someone at an event!

Finally, on my third attempt at finding waypoint 2 I had to make a couple of phone calls for help. It turns out I was looking about 15 metres away from the real spot. Looks like the formula needs to be revised, I checked in a map and in Google Earth and the coords given by the formula are not the correct ones.

Like a few others before me I have been sitting on the coords for WP2 for sometime. Today I had to work nearby at the National Measurement Labratories so was presented with a chance to knock this one on the head(during my lunch hour of course)
The walk in to WP2 was easy but the search lasted 1/2 hour or so before I decided to phone a friend. Seems I was a little way off from the hiding spot.
The hint I was given still kept me guessing for a little while though, but after another 15 minutes or so the GZ coords were in hand. The final gave me no troubles, though I kept an eye on my surroundings as I did not really want to come face to face with that red belly from an earlier log. No swaps today but I did pick up the coin in the cache. TFTC SL

This was another cache i've never attempted even though it's so close to home. With the Antipodes to tag along with, the first obstacle was to find our way in but once established on the "pipe" it was sailing till WP2 where the search began. Not long after, we were searching (hopefully) in the right location. After about 45mins luck found us.

Cheers

We remember that quite a while ago (more than 2 years) we started this and we got stuck on WP2. With the difficult entry (busy road) we never got round doing this again. However, Tronador's idea of parking place was good and today we went with Yagen to finish this one off. We found WP2 easily enough now (after thinking where it should be for 2 years) and had some problems with GZ. However, we did find it and took: TB and compass, left: car.

Droped off Earth Travel Bug, on our hunt for the "Fifth Element" http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga0019

Also dropped USA AUSSIE ADVENTURE TB

Finally I can put this one to rest. On the first attempt at WP2 I had to abandon the search after about 50 minutes. On the way back up the track following the pipe I heard a commotion in the scrub about 10 metres behind me. I turned and saw a huge black snake flying up the track straight at me. Instinct took over and I turned and ran. After about 50 metres I looked back and saw nothing. I thought black snakes were supposed to be non-aggressive and hibernate in winter? I guess he was trying to get away from something else and I just happened to be on his escape route. Poor guy, mind you he scared the %$#@ out of me. Second attempt at WP2 saw me keying the co-ords after about 30 minutes. Another 15 minutes later I was filling in the logbook.

Left: Compass
Took: nothing

Good to see this one is still kicking along in good nick.
Terrain guide updated - probably was a little optimistic, but was meant to factor in the road hazard as well
Happy Hunting

That was a nice one. WP 1 discovered some weeks ago , but around WP2 it is really difficult parking so doing the GNW with a bike...
Finally found WP2 after a 30 min search.
The same a s the final...
Terrain is may a bit overrated. But interesting hides.

After having met Leek only a few hours earlier, I called upon him to help me out with this one. I searched for an hour at WP2 and couldn't find it. I even started climbing trees - not a pretty sight. Leek sorted me out and within no time I had the cache in my hands, despite it now being dark. Seems there'll be a spate of founds now the cache's existence has been comfirmed. A nice one to grab.

Very late in the day and in a moment of madness we thought we’d have a go at this ‘un. After the straightforward WP1 and with less than an hour of daylight in our pockets, we set off from our chosen approach point. We had a spot of bush bashing before we stubbed our toes on a pipe. It was one of those inexplicable occasions where we simply rolled through the next waypoint and the cache with less than 10 minutes of searching at each. We’ll take dumb luck whenever we can. We made no swaps.

While in North Ryde on business from New Zealand, I tried this one on foot in the early morning. The road has no footpath and traffic is very dense here. Where WP2 is supposed to be there are some interesting hollow trees, but I really did not know what I was looking for or where to look. In New Zealand we use hints for these cases. No fun to go through all this effort and smog without result.

Well this has been a very satisfying end to Game Ladies. Armed with a few hints which confirmed that I had been looking in the right spot just at the wrong altitude. In fact, at least I can say without embarressment that the cache lay waiting in a place I had not looked, but walked past previously. Silly me had searched a similiar 2 places not half a metre away.
The smile on my face lit up the surrounding area when at last I lay eyes on it, within 10 minutes of beginning my search. I can see now, how it has fooled so many before me.
It is extremely well hidden in it's hidey hole and blends in quite nicely with the....... Not only that, considering it has been here untouched for almost 11 months, nature has added its own camoflage, making it almost invisible.
And such a large cache too, perfect for the swaggie (sumbios) that I was going to leave behind. It fit quite nicley inside. Cache is in pristine condition, just waiting for the next cacher to come along.
I removed the lollies ( no one is going to eat those). The expiry date of June 04, told me how long they had been there. Into the trash they go!
I sat there leisurley reading the log book and trying to listen to nature but the constant traffic noise interrupted my thoughts.
Packed everything up, replaced the cache and added my own camoflage after disturbing what nature had put there.
Walked back out the way I came ( along the pipeline track) and back to the car. A very pleasant caching experience.

Now it will be fun watching others trying to find the waypoints and GZ!!! Go on, get out there and have a go!

Well this is certainly a work in progress. I knew where Wpt 2 was, but how do you access the area for a search? Put on my thinking cap, checked the UBD and found a much safer option than parking infront of the fire trail gate. An accident waiting to happen.
Gained access by parking in Blaxland Rd then walking into Allen Park and onto the Great North Walk. Turned right at the small pipeline and followed this. There is a track the whole way to wpt2. A longer option but safer than trying to access from Lady Game Drive.
Found wpt 2 without any problems, ie after I actually searched on the correct side.
Wpt 2 is intact, high and dry and coords in good condition.
Off to GZ and this is where I became unstuck, I need HELP.
Everyone else seems to have had difficulty with Wpt 2 and found GZ easily. Well I must be back to front!
I'm not giving up. I shall return!

Wpt 1 found! Another work in progress.

First of eight caches attempted on a day when my scheduled club cricket match was abandoned (minutes before I was due to arrive at the ground after my three plus hour drive from Canberra Sad). First of two DNFs.

Searched for WP2 for another good 40mins without any sign of it - too much tree cover to get a good fix. I think I will have to give this one up as a lost cause. Sad

21-Jan-07
Attempted to locate this one after finishing my cricket match. Located WP1 fine & did the required calcs.

Didn't realise I was searching for WP2 not a cache at the next location - must make sure I read all the logs next time!

Will attempt to find before/after my next home match!

Well all I can say is the owner knows where WP2 is.!!I saw a very interesting area of Sydney yesterday that I would not have thought I would see in a million years. The drive from the airport to ( 2 Hours )Game Ladies was more challenging than the hunt for WP2 (another 2 Hours )and that is saying something. Tunnel directions are more confusing than WP2. Enjoyed the chase all the same don't know that I will be back.
