Coordinates are a bit off but looked in the most logical spot and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC

This a new account but I found this cache with my mum (EmsDan1315) and my brother (maggies123) on 19-7-2024TFTC.

I'm in the Flinders Ranges for this year's SA state Championships Rogaining at Oraparinna.
This cache was conveniently placed on route and gave me a good opportunity for a last stretch of the legs.
Nice to find a 20 year old cache. The coordinates seemed a little out but there really is only one major tree where the cache can be.

Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches along the way. We headed off on a round trip from Hawker to Blinman. The scenery was stunning. We also enjoyed the history of the area. Thanks for the cache.

Go to GZ then look around. You’ll find the cache easily. The cache is BEFORE the restricted area so no problem getting to the cache site. TFTC. TNLN. In good condition.

The return trip of our epic Flinders expedition with Mattycat and Perfect DI had us at Hawker for a couple of nights, a detour and a quick cache find, over 20 years ago before the sacred site we visited here a beautiful spot can see why they need to preserve this location

TFTC. We risked the drive in. Grab and run just in case we were spotted doing wrong. A little eerie. Lots of native pines. Pretty obvious where GZ was once you are there looking around.

A beautiful spot. Unfortunately we could make a tour. It would have been great to see. Our coords were a little off given the limited reception. TFTC!

The sacred site is now a no go area unless with a guide but we were still able to take the drive and find this cache as it is well away from the canyon. TFTC and for keeping this golden oldie alive.

Entrance road sign says restricted access with guided entry only. Locals said this is a recent change due to vandalism of the canyon. We didn’t go to the cache.

Day four of a camping trip testing out my new swag. I am slowly making my way up to the Flinders Ranges and taking my time exploring lots of little towns along the way.

After spending the night at Rawnsley Park Station, I was up early to make the most of the glorious weather.

Enjoying a few days in the Flinders. Unfortunately, Mr Frog twisted his ankle on our first day of our holiday and is on crutches, so we aren't going on any walks just enjoying the many great drives.

Traveling around the area today taking in the sights so picked this one up.

We only traveled in as far as the GZ but not all the way to the sacred site which we chose not to do as time was pressing and we needed to get back to our camp in Brachina Gorge. No doubt we'll be back so will make a point at correcting this omission in the future.

This took a bit to find, found the cache 16m from GZ, but it was in the obvious spot. Good to find this oldie.

A big day today, KalebClark and myself decided we would walk up Rawnsleys bluff and collect a few caches around the flinders ranges before hand. Was lucky enough to find my 9000th find.
With not a cloud in the sky it made for a perfect day of walking, bit sad though it hasn’t rained for 3 years.

Found on a short trip up to the Flinders Ranges with Freddo to undertake some cache maintenance and pick up a few other caches.

Got to enjoy the beautiful winter weather we are having, although the country is looking pretty dry in places.

Easy find on the way to the Sacred Canyon, and wow the canyon is so good words will not do justice.

Look and looked, phone coverage was poor, couldn’t pin point where cache was ️

Erin1405 and I did a round trip from Alice Springs down South along the coast and ended up in Sydney. We had a marvellous time on this amazing continent viewing a lot of new and beautiful impressions. Of course we searced and found some caches just like that one. Thanks a lot for hiding and many greetings from Germany.

I found this cache together with B.F.Pierce during our wonderful vacation in Australia. We drove four weeks with a camper van through this amazing country from Alice Springs to Sydney. We enjoyed the great people, wildlife and countryside so much. Thank you for the great cache! Best regards from Germany!

On our two month travelling trip through Austrialia, we are enjoying all the wonderful places and scenery. We will stop on the way to visit some nice caches as well. This one we could find.

On the way back from the sacred canyon we stopped here to eat our lunch and visit this cache. Like others have stated, it is ca. 15m out but a straightforward find.
Feeling sorry for the cache guardian, it has seen better days.

Quick find after our day hiking around Wilpena Pound

Our second full day in the Flinders Ranges, and after leaving the geocaching group, jesswrigley and I had planned for some hiking around Wilpena Pound. The temperatures had cooled slightly from some overnight brief rain, and the wind provided a nice breeze to the day.

Drove up this trail to this cache. Hmm not a lot around here except this cache. We wondered where this road lead. In the interim, we logged the cache, cheers.

We were headed off to this sacred site & i found i had deleted the coords to this cache....bugger. site was great but lost power steering on the way back. Car in Hawker garage thanks to a very nice RAA man being fixed.... oh well doubt if I'll get hubby on this road again!

Driving around enjoying the majestic views in the canyons and over the ranges. Picked this one up on the way back to the main road. Co ordinates were out, but we just looked in the obvious place. TFTC

day 2 of a 5 day trip in to the finders rangers. meet other geocachers at this cache. I was parking they where leaving. co ords out by about 15 metres but still a quick find.

Spider central! Make sure you are looking in front, not down when walking to gz.

Gz was 16m west from coords according to my gps.

A quick and easy find on our way out to the gorge, today was the day a squeal started from under the bonnet, it came and went and figured it was a loose belt from our driving the skytrek yesterday. Now as I sit here in Birdsville 7 days later, still waiting for parts to fly in, in another 3 days, we may then be able to get back to our holiday.

Gps signal had us out a bit but the likely spot turned up the goods. Now off to the canyon. Tftc

Heading back to Quorn, we were only stopping for old or Earth Cache on the way.
This fell into the former.
Coords are about 15m out but found in a logical spot.

Day 5 of our trip to the Red Centre Experience event in Alice Springs with ACTchil travelling from Canberra through Hay, Mildura, Peterborough then Port Augusta, Cooper Pedy and then Alice. We decided to stay the night at Wilpena Pound and grab the caches there. Such a nice place and amazing views, was a bit hot for me but cooler at night. We got to this one at 11:32 am and it didn't take long for ACTchil to locate the cache and sign the logbook and put back, I left my signature and Red Centre Experience pathtags for the next person to collect. tftc McMillan Mob
