Found the dirt track off the main road and drove to a flat spot - the rest was not drivable. After a quick walk up the hill the cache was in hand. A great view, TFTC!
Traveling north to Darwin and down the center, finding some caches along our route. Thanks for the cache Weapon of Mass Dysfunction.
Nice little drive and great views.
It's been quite a while since I went geocaching, and this was a good one to start with. Thanks

Catching up on some late logs, now that I have time while travelling.
We are on the road travelling up through central Australia and down the coast of W.A. This is one of the caches we grabbed along the way.
Definitely not a terrain 1. Signed and returned.
Thanks for placing this cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can enjoy finding it.

Day 9 of our 3 week break exploring the Pilbara this was one of the caches we found after setting up camp in Karratha for the next few days Loved the trip up & the views were amazing!!! Cache was a quick find & is in good condition.
TFTC & showing us this lookout, cheers Weapon of Mass Dysfunction [^]

Need 4wd... would rate this a 3 if you need to walk... grandson took gift. Thank you. Fantastic view.
A DNF for me today
Recent rain has done wonders for the ecosystem- heaps of spinifex, spiders and other things that go wriggle in the shrubs. Recommend sturdy shoes for the mountain goat element of this cache, and a big stick for poking around where you can't see. I'll be back to try this one again soon! Beautiful views from the top, thanks for bringing me here

As others have said before me, this is not a T1 cache. More like a T2.5. I knew it was going to be a bit of a hike when i saw it but i wanted the smiley and to see the view. And besides, this work trip away has not been good for my diet so I figured it wouldn't hurt me to haul my butt up the hill. Good thing I had my work boots on too...the spinifex likes to bite!

We are in Karratha for just a couple of days and grabbing as many finds as we can. Headed out on some of the back tracks around town and came upon this find. Replaced broken container. Thanks Weapon of Mass Dysfunction
Out for a ride on my dirt bike on my last day off. Snapped my stand off and had no stand so had to lean my bike on the tree seen the cache as soon as I hoped off. Good to see the original note from when it was first placed back in 03
The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 22. Today was a day around Karratha on some of the 4wd tracks inland of town before Heading to Dampier and the peninsula for more 4wd tracks and a final hill climb on foot.
I did several caches on great 4wd tracks behind Karratha this morning. A great are to explore with hills and flat bits.
Thanks.

Okay, today we went out in hope of some Father's Day luck, but to no avail. Lots of driving around in circles. Small consultation: we do not know Madigan well. Still to find our first cache, so We've got to keep trying.

pug002 found it 21/8/2017 on our trip to the Pilbara geocaching TFTC Weapon of Mass Dysfunction.
Took the boys on an adventure as we hadn't been GeoCaching in awhile, great view so windy
If you are expecting a terrain 1 (wheelchair accessible), it definitely is not. We accessed it by 4 x 4 geo vehicle which was a much better option. Once up on top it was only a short walk to find the prize. Our name was noted on the log and all was replaced where found. Thanks to Weapon of Mass Destruction for placing this cache.
Day five of Barnzy12 and Cravo10 adventure to the Northwest of WA, filling out boots with LGAs, rare DT, old caches, and good old fashioned red dirt!
Today we had an easier day planned with not so much driving! Staying around the township of Karratha, we had a nice sleep in and then warmed the car up on the way to Dampier to pickup a couple of caches on the way to meeting local cacher grandadbazza at the same location as dimor recent event.
We had a crack at the archived cache nearby but couldn't get it from its hides hole so left it alone even with a previous finders assistance, after a good chat with Barry we parted ways to collect some very rare virtual caches around the burrup peninsula and some semi off road caches including an earth cache.
We were about two thirds of the way through out Dampier caching run when notifications came through for a new multi not too far away, so we completed the 4x4 duties and then backtracked all the way to the red dog statue and claimed a very swift FTF some 1200km from home. Special thanks to dimor for a well put together multi that was simple enough for us simple minded cachers.
We then continued along the plan collecting as many caches around Dampier as possible, with some not attempted due to the extreme heat and the amount of caches hidden ontop extremely hot rock piles which have burnt my hands enough this trip.
We finished up on the Dampier area after seeing my favourite little island around sams island, such a wonderful spot just a hop skip and jump from he shores of Dampier.
After lunch we collected a few more smileys around Karratha before heading to Roebourne, Wickham and point Samson to collect all the smileys in those towns to make tomorow Journey a little easier, as we now only have to detour to Cossack on the small ish drive to port hedland.
A huge day out collecting 3 virtuals, heaps of traditionals, several multis, a puzzle and an earth cache. Full on day for caching finishing up around 8pm with some take away atop a small lookout hill.
Looking forward to heading to Port Hedland tomorrow via Cossack, Whim Creek and a few other sights!
Love an old cache. Couldn't resist this one. What I always wonder is every old cache seems to be a d1t1, wonder what it takes to have had a d5 back in the day!

On the way home I got the camera out and started taking some photos of the sun setting "the famous Pilbara sunset" trying to remember all the settings to get a great photo

Another smiley added here today on a 5 week Pilbara and Kimberley break, as a child growing up in the Pilbara, this is my old stomping ground, thanks for the memories and TFTC
I had arrived in the Karratha area at last
Lots of interesting sounding caches to chase around here
And on the way to the coast, I stopped to go for a dysfunctional stroll
Well first up !!
This ain't a terrain one cache
Try about two
The difficulty is about right ...
... a nice easy find once up at the top of the hill

Found this one quite easily, but was good after navigating through the maze of prickley spinifex!!
Great location, found this one at night too!!

Fun little trek up the hill for the kids! Added a few more swap items and our friend Porky Pies!
Good spot for a bit of 4x4 going up the hill. Then a short walk through the spinifex got us to the cache. Nice location with a good view on the opposite side of the city. Note: the terrain rating should be changed as a 1 indicates that it should be wheelchair accessible. This is definitely not the case here. TFTC
Found this morning with Bjossi, who kindly drove me to within metres of the cache. TFTC
After a tiring trek upto evaporative views, I decided to grab a couple more caches on the way back to my hotel.
This was a lot easier by comparison.

Awesome cache. Lovely spot for an evening walk. Left a feisty wombat and took a sand dollar.
Found this while killing time waiting for a pickup at the airport. Cache in good condition. Tfyc
Found it.
Eagle drew my attention to the location. That was a nice welcome.
Cache still holding a TB wanting to get to the outback.

Found, on our way out of Dampier, heading south.
With a short walk from the road, this gave a good 360 d view of the area.
Thanks for the cache, Weapon of Mass Dysfunction.

Thanks for the cache, Weapon of Mass Dysfunction.
Nice easy find due to company 4x4 and agreeable leading hand who doesn't mind me going off and doing stuff.
This is a great spot for a cache with some wonderful views.
The terrain rating is not a 1 which implies this is wheel chair accessable cache, maybe a 2.5.
The owner should go into the cache site & change the ratings
Thanks Weapons of Mass Dysfunction

Checked in on cache, replaced zip lock bag and placed a TB to continue its travels.
2nd find, nice view from up here, windy as hell today, a card flew out of the box when I opened it, chased it for bloody ages but got it
Great fun hike and find. The snaplock bag inside needs replacing, but the box is still sturdy. Left a sanddollar from 80 mile. Thank you a real expedition.
