We are spending a few hours this morning in Canberra at the National Aboretum this morning before heading back to Melbourne. This was a quick find although the container did not match the descry. A nice setting for the cache. Thanks to the The Spindoctors for the cache.
TFTC! Long weekend spent in Canberra. The kite festival was on so lots of muggles around. Stealth and timing required once located
Thought I was going to have to wait but everyone vanished as I arrived. Easy find but the cache is starting to look a bit delicate
A family catch up at the Arboretum gave me a chance to collect a few more caches around this fantastic spot. Was stupid windy so lots of kites being flownNext one on my loop of the gardens (collecting AdLabs in the west). This was Missing on my last visit so glad to still be in play. How there was an ammo can here must have been very different at the time. Quickly found - man it was windy up here.TFTC The Spindoctors
I Sat here for a while watching the snow clouds on the mountain Great for my mindfulnessFound 14 July 2024
Picked this up after a nearby event. It's good to get this older cache signed off. TFTC
I had more friends visiting from Melbourne, so I brought them to the Arboretum, of course! They only had time for breakfast and bonsai garden before getting back on the road again. Once they had left, I set out to find a few more geocaches here. This was the first. Thanks for the cache, The Spindoctors! There was a gorgeous view from up here on a clear winter's morning.
Found after admiring the views. No muggles around this arvo due to the wind chill factor. It is that cold in winter that even the trees wear scarves (see photo). TFTC
The national arboretum has been on my to-do list for a while although I've never gotten around to it despite being so close!I can even think of several more out-of-the-way ACT arboretums that I've visited prior to this one!But I decided that today would do the trick nicely and the gloomy weather would provide adequate coverage from the muggles that might otherwise populate this lookout.Sure enough, there were plenty of carparks up here and once the two folks who were taking a couple of quick pictures were blown away by the wind, I could begin heading down to gz.A pretty likely spot presented itself once I followed the coordinates, and something a little out of place was investigated which ended up having the cache beneath it!Still a pretty view from up here despite the inclement weather - I'm sure I'll return to chip away at the rest of what's on offer around here. Thanks to The Spindoctors for placing this cache!
Found on a lovely day for a stroll around the arboretum - but didn't have a pen on me... )-:
With our housesitting dog in the National Arboretum. Time to look for some caches. Nice found. Thank you.
Today I dragged my best friend to the Arboretum to do some caching. For the most part, she hated it... too much walking, and largely not walking along the paths. I think she actually enjoyed the adventure and just didn't want to admit it, I'm sure we'll be back as an unbeatable duo soon.Incredible views from here! Thank you The Spindoctors for the cache!
Find#1994Me and Shaneo58 are down here in Canberra from the Hunter Valley targeting certain caches to complete the 3x3 challenges set out by Team737. On an absolute horrible rainy day we found and signed this cache. It had cleared up by now. The view up here is amazing. A must find when in Canberra Log and cache in good condition. TFTC

We found this cache while visiting Canberra for the Geobash Mega. With the Mega now over we stayed on a bit longer to do some sightseeing. Of course, we also had time to do a few more caches while out and about. A really cool spot that we will definitely visit again. Thanks to all the CO's for placing the caches for us all to find.

29/3/2024 Find #6932My first ever trip to Canberra and I am down here for the Mega with KBreeAHH and Captain Terror. Big Matt collected us for todays tour to kick start our time in Canberra. We had said our farewells to Big Matt for the day, with plans to catch up again on Sunday for a hike. Having stopped at the cafe for lunch and had a look around at the Bonsais and the likes, we continued around the Arboretum and found a spot to park the car and wander over for this cache. With people above, we plonked ourselves down and checked out the view as we signed our names in the logbook. Thanks for the cache The Spindoctors.
Embarking on a week long mega adventure in the ACT and its picturesque surrounds, I've teamed up with an enthusiastic West Aussie crew: I C Nothing, Meme28, geotrakka, and Burns345, with the occasional cameo from neva2old. As we traversed territory, I was enthralled by the rich variety of caches this new hunting ground presented, turning each discovery into a memorable experience. Our group engaged in friendly competition at each stop to be the one to claim the find and shared countless laughs along the way.Together, we marked our triumphs in the logs as WA5, and on the rare occasion WA6.Thanks The Spindoctors for placing Dante's Peak for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 14:40 on 27/3/2024.This is find number 8272 for me.

found on a gorgeous day with geokiddies on a ramble.it's no longer an ammo can, or someone has left a decoy.
Four years ago, a Bromance team adventure to hike Australia's highest 10 peaks in Kosciuszko National Park was cancelled after bushfires devastated the Snowy Mountains (and indeed most of the Eastern seaboard). We finally returned to Kosciuszko National Park a few days ago and have just spent three wonderful days in perfect weather hiking a circuit around the mountains climbing Australia's 13 highest peaks and collecting all the alpine caches along our route. After a recovery night and a few selected virtual caches in Canberra last night, the plan today is to grab some further chosen caches around Canberra before heading north late afternoon and caching on the way to Goulburn. After a flying visit to the Arboretum, we ventured up the hill to complete some multi's. I took the opportunity to find this older cache, which my companions had always found. Some cooling breezes and great shade under the tree were a relief as it was hot! Many thanks Spindoctors#7,692
DNF, someone may have taken this cache noting the hole it was probably in under a rock is empty
We drove up the hill here to look at the view of Canberra before exploring the arboretum. Found the cache without a problem. TFTC - a great view from here; pity about the traffic noise.
