Nice walk to a waterfall that I have driven past 100 times. A long time ago we made a log bridge to try drive in here. No chance these days, it has all changed. Saw a snake on the way out, but he didn't mind us in hid world.

Found this one without too much trouble. Beautiful water fall nearby. Had been raining heavily for a while, so plenty of water going over it. Took nothing, left rainbow pinwheel trackable.
Found at 11:15 AM 13th Dec 08.
Thanks for the Cache

1021 Thought I'd been to this one before when I started searching but I mixed it up with one much further south east - found that one in a similar position as well. I'm glad I came on a coldish day because there are bull-ant mounds all over the place AND I HATE BULL-ANTS - lucky for me they were hibernating today. TFTC Muzza

Went to that beautiful place deep in the woods an have to report a DNF. I searched for a wile but no luck this time.

As irony would have it, I was at these very falls only two months ago on a 4x4 trip, but i hadn't made time to check the web site for caches in the area. When my brother was visiting from Mexico, I thought I would take him through Bunyip SF, and this time I checked for caches.

That said, by the time we made it to the falls, it was getting dark, I was getting more than my fair share of the leaches, and we left the torch back in the Jeep, so it was a no find: however it wasn't the most concerted look I've ever made. Maybe in summer I will get to return, complete the nearby 4x4 series of caches and finally mark this one off too. (although it will be without geo-wife, she doesn't like the look of the leach bites!)

After some 4x4 driving in the area we stopped off to pick this one up on the way home.
We did have a lot of climbing over the fallen trees over the path but the GPS was on our side today and took us straight to the cache.
Thanks Muzza for the cache,

Found after a hunt around several objects that looked likely in the vicinity. A bit wary in case one of our slithery friends was lurking on this warm day. Found eventually and cache is dry and looks ok. Problem with water ingress is caused by the fact that the O ring is missing from the lid seal. Looked around but couldn't find it. A long hilly ride and about as far as I would want to ride to find a cache.
TNLN. Thanks

No logs since January, but at GZ it is clear that there have been a few DNFs that didn't post.

Parked at Forest Rd and a nice walk up. The sat lock was awful, pointing 7m up the embankment, and after spending half an hour searching three "clue like" objects that others had also searched, climbing up, crawling under, with a torch, and no luck.

Took a break and visited the beautiful falls. Some great photo opportunities.

Then another go. Just about to give up and then eureka. Why not see if there is something on the other side of the path, and there in the undergrowth was a ...............

Cache in seconds.

Onward to Jedi's Challenge and a round trip walk via Tea Tree Track & BGS Firebreak of around 10Km

I have been wanting to do this one for a while and took the opportunity today. The GPSr was not a lot of help as reception was poor but after decrypting the clue it was an easy find. The falls were great and the walk and drive through the bush was lovely. TNLN now its off to the Jedi's challenge.

We woke up this morning and thought to ourselves that it was a good day for a drive in the hills. This cache has been on our to do list for awhile so off we went. We found a place to park and enjoyed a leisurely stroll in amongst the spring wildflowers. There was plenty of water today at the picturesque fall which we enjoyed for a while before looking for the cache. The GPS was a bit erratic with the tree cover but the cache was located in the second spot we looked
Took Grasshopper
Left Scorpion
Thanks Muzza for a perfect way to recover from the fun & exciting cache activity

We were with maccamob who pulled the reins in when we overshot the likely spot to turn right. Scrambled up the rocks and after a few moments I found myself actually standing on top of the cache. Stilll claiming this as a GAFF1 at 11.15am. Took: Casawarry bird, Left: Cow. The views from here are admirable. Thanks muzza.

Found at 3:00pm. Fourth find of six on our tour of Powelltown in company with Xfking. After doing Geofreak's Prime Real Estate we continued on the road to this one. The satellite signals to the GPSr gave out at 800m to GZ and we never got another look at where to go. We just continued along the road till we heard some falls stopped, found a track, walked to the falls (or "FAL" as the sign now says), decrypted the clue out of necessity then looked for a hidey hole that matched the description. All in all a fairly quick find and what better way to celebrate finding our 50th Muzza cache Big Grin.

Thanks Muzza from D & S B-A. Took nothing, left nothing.

4th out of 7 found today.

A great waterfall, I also claimed a locationless cache here too. The walk down was nice and easy. My GPS had reception all the way down. But the master wabbit caught up to me and said.. Oh Go that way the cache would be down there. Even though my GPS was still pointing in a different location I thought. Well i only got 3 sattelites and so my GPS is probably telling me bull. After visiting the waterfall the GPS had lost comms. I checked some other spots, but nothing seemed obvious. S found the cache not long after.. Bugger.. I would have possibly found it if I didn't listen to the master wabbitt earlier as my GPS was pointing directly to it..

Thanks from M.B TNLN

After three hours trying to find the right road to get to the area, stumbled onto Forest Road, but came closest to GZ at 45m down a steep slope with nowhere to park. Severely hampered by all those trees in trying to get an accurate fix. Definitely needs some basic info on where to go for those without a basemap. Was ready to break out the champers when apparently within one km, but sadly it was not to be.

Did this (our first cache) along with a few killer bunny associates.

A few less leeches along the way would have been nice.

Falls were great.

Left a small chilli, took nothing.

Nice easy find in the 3rd place I looked. The falls were puting on a good show. Been past here a few times but didn't know about the falls. There is a good all weather 2wd road to "Prime Realestate" (past Gentle Annie).

Took Koala pin
Left Ball (forgot it was a theme cache (think of it as a bouncing rock[8)]))

Thanks Muzza for showing me a place I would have probebly have just driven past again.

This was actually found by Jenny who was with us.
Nice Falls
Took a small caribina and left a Koala Pin.

Found at 19.55 after a marathon journey to get to the location. Having done the 2 Geofreak caches nearby (8km north as the crow flies) BB thought he would pick this one up fairly quickly. But the tracks that head south are either closed until the end of October or red herring tracks into logging coupes. Having wasted valuable daylight hours deciding to take the bitumen and approach from Neerim seemed like the only option. Travelling along Tarago Road we met a lone bike rider who required a lift to the main road, so BB obliged and added another 20km of dirt to travel. We arrived well after the sun had passed the yard arm but well before moon rise (1.00 am). BB #1 was having problems getting a lock with the satelites so BB#2 came to the rescue with the trusty Garmin 12- no problems (a 9m EPE!). Locating the track was certainly a bonus and with torch in hand we found GZ and the cache with little difficulty. The leeches were there to greet BB#1 and were keen to examine the GPS. A quick drink from the falls and we were on our way. Took green snake, left black snake. Many thanks Muzza for another real adventure.

Found by Mary & David at 1220. A lovely walk in despite one or two obstacles. The cache name must have been an omen. Mary suggested a photo of the falls, and the camera went its own way trying to oblige. We watched in disbelief as it descended through the greenery and into the creek. Quickly recovered, but it was dead. Took kangaroo and TB Croc, left dinosaur, goat and a few swearwords. Even so, many thanks to Muzza.

I decided to come into this one from Powelltown, the morning was reasonably fine when I set out, but as I got higher into the hills I found myself driving through thick cloud and drizzle and there were many trees down over the road from recent storms. The low cloud really gave the surrounding bush a different feel. Once at the cache location however, the rain had cleared and the cache was found without incident. Enjoyed the location, not so much the leeches. Took stretchy snake and left large green grasshopper. Thanks muzza.
