In Port Pirie with B2 prior to attending a theatre event tonight. Grabbing some caches while waiting after the drive up from Adelaide. We drove out here to get the this one as we are quite keen to find Liz and Bruce caches. Another one added to the collectionBeautiful spot. Saw a pod of dolphins Thanks for the cache

Today we are making our way to Port Augusta for a few days.We decided to come and visit this island and have a look around. The views are spectacular, and today certainly it was not actually an island! On the map it looks like it is an island. At the end of our walk, we came to find this one and pretty soon had our name added to the log. Thanks Liz and Bruce for showing us this location and giving us another Adventure today on our travels. Domsky
Last night fitzy_1965 and I stayed at the Wilmington Hotel. Old facilities but new air con was a winner! And honest locals as we realised in the morning that we had left the car keys on the dashboard last night! Our plan today was to collect oldies & counties and whatever inbetween whilst making our way back to my cousin's house for a family dinner. All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. This was one of them.
34,308. Found with minniek during our trip to The Great Leap Forward Mega Event in Adelaide on 29th February 2024.Day 4 : After staying overnight at the Wilmington Pub, we headed out hunting for more Counties, oldies and other interesting caches. We do enjoy meandering around the countryside doing this. Hopefully we will cross off a bunch more South Australian Counties today. Lots of great caches to choose from as well. This was the next cache - and it was a nice quick find once at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then we continued on to the next one. Thanks Liz and Bruce !!
After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and finally catching up on all my logging.Caching in South Australia was fantastic, so many good hides to find, and we found ourselves zigzagging all over the place doing lots of geoart but of course ran out of time to get everything done on our to-do list. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them, so thank you.Our logs were mostly signed as 5 for QLD to save room on the log sheets, and no doubt, we'll be back again in the near future.
We are ion South Australia for the leap Year Mega. After an early start from our overnight accommodation, we set off to find the caches on our target list. All caches were found and signed as "5 for QLD" for our traveling group of hatzofff (myself), RoddyC, Imbunda, Snickersallan and grannysmith1947.Today we target some geo art and other caches. Loving the area, but it is very hot and quite windy today.
An early morning start after our overnight stay. I am traveling with my friends, hatzofff, RoddyC, Snickersallan and grannysmith1947. We are signing all logs as "5 for QLD" to save space. All caches were found, signed and replaced as foundAfter some early caches and an event we headed off to some special geoart and an overnight stay before heading back to Adelaide for the start of the Mega. Today has been one of the hottest and windiest we have had so far. [:(!] Here's hoping Adelaide will be a bit cooler tomorrow.
TFTC smile 18750 Out and about on a lovely day Having a great time finding a few caches heading to Adelaide for a few weeks then on our way to Canberra . Signing as 5 for QLD - Hatzofff Snickersallan RoddyC Imbunda. What a great team we made and lots of laughter and fun. Lots of caches to get today, and it was hot and windy at the geo art Thank you Liz and Bruce for placing this cache for our enjoyment [:X]
A Leap Year Mega draws us to Adelaide. Today's our intrepid group has our second day in South AustraliaWe are using the Acronym 6 for QLD to sign the log sheets. Most of the caches this day were nice quick finds. And so happily I say that the logs were signed and caches replaced as found on this day, 27th February 2024. TFTC, Liz and Bruce.

After wandering around W.A. for the last 3 months caravanning, caching and hunting wildflowers, we are slowly making our way home to Adelaide. Always stay here at Laurie Park and go into Pirie to get the Pickled Seafood. Too windy to travel so decided to cache instead. Decided to go for a drive to the Island as we haven't been there for many years. Nice walk on a very windy day. T.F.T.C.
Travelling from Perth to Canberra with lots of side tracks.TFTC.
Nice quick find and sign on a very wet and windy day. Even the birds were flying backwards.

Looks like the brief warm weather had gone and rain ️ is in the way so we are out with iluvtrekking grabbing finds while we can remain dry. Thanks Liz and Bruce
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on a geo-guided tour.
What an epic journey we have had, just returned home from the holiday of a life time, we managed to catch up with PP2 for some caching at times, oh the memories and laughter!! Now it's time to catch up with the logging, thank you to every CO who has placed caches for us to find along the way TFTC
It's always nice to have an 'overseas' holiday and this is our first for a long time TFTC Liz and Bruce
Sebastbat took Jack and myself for a long drive... and we ended up at your cache
Quite surprised at how busy the major roads were, so got off the beaten track whenever we could
Seems the further north we went the more we wanted to go north, but all good things must come to an end sadly, so eventually we went home again! But we might just do it all again tomorrow
Hot property out here with an awesome view of the smelter stack [:o)]
Always nice to log a Liz and Bruce original
So true that we drive past a lot and rarely think to go over... today we did!
Thanks for putting it out there Liz and Bruce

Wherever we go caches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure that Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
Now our borders are open - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Initially stopped on the top track before walking back around and down. Husband thought he would follow. Found cache quickly, back to the somewhat closer car, now to get back to the road… bit of rain lately, & we didn’t bring the 4WD - he almost made it. TFTC!
Left Cunnamulla after QOGM 2021 heading to Sth Australia, stopped in Mount Isa for a little spell and to catch up with new friends drrnrchr and attack all the caches here. Then WA then back to Cairns June 2022. 26 October 2021 12:13 pm Tyfc Liz and Bruce total caches now 2960 lovely spiky bush thank you.
Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Made to South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
After making my way west along the Eyre Hwy I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
So then it was down to the Eyre Peninsula to see the sites down there Venus Bay, Coffin Bay National Park and Lincoln National Park were some highlights and I will come back again to have a better look around.
So after nearly 2 weeks spent on the Eyre Peninsula it was time to start heading back to Victoria but another lockdown in Vic has just occurred so now to change my plans again.
So Port Germaine was my next target for the night.
Another morning spent driving in the rain as I have not had the best weather on this trip what ever happened to summer.
The rain has stopped and as I have rounded the the bay and heading back down south the weather is beautiful on this side of town.
I have finally reached my destination for the night which is Port Germein so time to set up.
Another nice day is beaconing so I did the pier walk early which in my mind I had walked half way to Whyalla by the time I got to the end.
So now to tackle some caches around the town then widen my search area.
After travelling the scenic route it was time to head back up to Port Germein and pick up a few caches heading north.
Took the detour into Weeroona Island and after crossing the causeway I realised I was not really on an island.
A drive around the well set up island I found somewhere to park and walked down to this one.
After a very thorough search as my GPS was not playing fair with me I eventually spotted the cache, added my name to the log and on to the next one.
Thanks Liz and Bruce TFTEC.

During our new years break, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula to travel around the various coastal towns. We started the trip with Jeep trouble, but then continued in our alternative vehicle without 4WD to stick to the main tourist roads where possible. We travelled south-west to Tumby Bay and Port Lincoln via Whyalla, Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay; west across to Coffin Bay; and then north-west to Streaky Bay and Ceduna via Elliston, and Venus Bay. We then headed back east staying in Kimba via Poochera, Wudinna, Lock, and Darke Peak.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I commenced our adventure, stopping off in Port Wakefield for that Adventure Lab and a few other geocaches. However, our trip in the Jeep was short lived when the clutch failed just before Port Pirie. A tow back to Adelaide, and start once again in jesswrigley's Mazda 2 meant we only made it as far as Port Augusta today (not Tumby Bay as planned). We did make a short detour to Weroona Island, which had some interesting history.
We made the walk down from the road above, and after briefly searching around, we found the good hiding place. It was nice to have found this oldie 10/2003 hidden cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, although the logbook appears to be inconsistent with the last finder? Thanks Liz and Bruce for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

What a gorgeous view it was today, the water was like glass with the barest of ripples. Thanks for sharing this location with us. The cache was soon located, the log book signed & dated before being returned back to its hiding spot.

Found while we toured a circuit of the Flinders Ranges, Marree, Roxby Downs, Woomera and Port Augusta for the week, mostly touring the backroads and visiting many scenic and interesting locations. This was found on the last day of our holiday on our way back home. Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce!
Thought we'd detour via Weeroona Island today, particularly since we've driven past a good dozen times over the years and there's a good handfull of caches here (just like you described) [^].
It was damp, wet and windy on our arrival, but not raining . Was checking out some of the real estate prices as we drove around [8] and obviously this is a very attractive place in better weather !
TNLNSL.
Thanks Liz and Bruce.

Unexpected stay in pirie was a good excuse to grab a few local caches. Certainly not likely to have visited the island except for caching so thanks for showing us this place, TFTC!
A lovely sunny day for a walk on the island. Great view of Port Pirie from here!
Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce.

Hi there Liz and Bruce. This cache was found on a day out caching and touring about Port Pirie. The container and log are in good condition - SL. Thanks to Liz and Bruce for this cache - our find # 6229.
After staying near Port Augusta last night, today we ventured further along the road with ilook4geo and just put a few caches on the list for the day.
There was no problem in finding this one and the cache container and log book are all in good condition. Two more names were added to the list of finders. Our thanks go to Liz and Bruce for this cache placement at such a beautiful part of the gulf.

Out and about today and doing some caching along the way with goingplaces2. Found all the ones that we wanted to look for and each one was signed as next on the list. Thanks to all the COs who placed these caches.

Somehow I came this lovely place during the way to Mildura from Alice Springs. Beautiful sky and sea. Awesome.

Double oh man!! Another DNF for us on the island! And when we have had such an amazing streak all trip! Ahh well.
Traveling on a Central Australia adventure with the awesome K8tybee. On the hunt for as many australian counties as we can get! (And hoping to make it across the Simpson Desert this time). Thanks to everyone who keeps these awesome caches maintained. Such a brilliant trip. Tftc

Staying two nights in Port Pirie before heading home and having a day trip around the southern Flinders Ranges. Visited a great variety of cache types and saw some amazing country side. Thank you to all the COs for your effort in placement of caches in interesting places.
No luck today thought I found where it should of been, marks indicated it something had been there. Searched 5m perimeter from gz but no luck. Thanks for the glorious walk and cooling the toes in the gulf. TFTC
Lost of signs of human presence near gz, looks like it's a popular spot for the local youth rather then the sea! TFTC!!
Looked for a fair while with the geokids. I feel that it is probably hiding under three tons of seaweed. Alas, we gave up. DNF.
Tice (Team Ice: laalaa, J&T., Hiltsu and kapeka) in Australia. Sun was shining and we had fun. Today we drove to South.
Thanks for the cache.

We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.
All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!
Today our trip continued from Port Augusta to Port Vincent. On a way we visited beautiful Weeroona Island, spend some time at Port Pirie, visited Moonta's himalayas and found many caches on the way.

While on an amazing 7000km roadtrip to the NT with Pacgirl we did a lot of sightseeing, and a little bit of caching along the way as well . The aim was simply to drive north towards the Red Centre, do a couple of laps around Uluru (one by car, and one on foot), and then head back south to Victoria.
Day 13 had us continuing our journey southwards towards home via Mildura.
I was keen to find this cache as it is quite old. So we took a quick detour into Weeroona Island .
Taking note of recent sightings I carefully made my way to GZ where fortunately it was a quick and easy find.
Thanks, Liz and Bruce.

I took a lot of care here given the recent cache log entries, and luckily snake free for my visit. A lovely spot to visit.

In view of the above log note and the serious swooping I just received by a Maggie on the other side I think I'll leave the snake guarding this cache. Thanks anyway.
WARNING!!!!!!!!!! Large Black snake seen by local resident going into the rock pile at the GZ a lot of long grass around. Be very careful.
