After getting off the bus from the airport and having a quick lunch, we got straight in to caching. This was our first for Edinburgh. Was raining a little, but we still had to be a little discreet as there were quite a few muggles using the path. GPS had us thinking we would have to climb through the hole in the fence, but after reading the clue, we picked it up quickly. TFTC.

Very sorry we didn't have more time to walk along the Water of Leith! At least we found this cache, and enjoyed the quietude along the water. Left a tb, took nothing.

Our only cache along the Leith; surprising how quiet it is down here, despite being in the middle of the city!

Parked at the Gallery of Modern Art as we intended to stop for a coffee there after this cache. A heron was standing across the water, quite peacefully preening - a fine sight to watch on our walk to the cache. Took what appears to be a commerative Canadian coin (for wee mans pirate treasure chest!), left a Welsh lady (not real!) bought during our cache hunting down there in July. Heron still in the same spot on our return trip.
Fantastic choice of cakes and bakes in the Art Gallery cafe - the carrot cake was scrumptious (and I'm sure I detected a hint of condensed milk in the frosting!).

My first one of the day, starting the WoL day out half way through! Tree cover was causing a bit of problem with signals, but found it soon. Then got caught in the act as Perth pathfinders arrived, soon followed by all the bikers. Took the Blanche Neige TB and left the Wonky Snowman TB.

No problem finding this despite being under trees. Starting to flag a bit on this walk now, not far to go to the finish.

Found by Mary & David from Melbourne, Australia, at 1315. On a bus tour around Scotland and staying in a nearby Hotel. Loved the walk along the Leith. The sound of the water was a real novelty after the drought conditions at home. Took $US 1 and left an Australian 5c and a sea serpent that we found in Helsinki a few days ago. Also took TB Richard Lionheart to visit a few Scottish castles - we'll leave him in England after the tour. Left our TB Willy Wombat to start his journey around the world.

Found it by using the hint - GPS reception is quite bad in this area. TB Hello Kitty Angel is still missing from the cache.
