Logs
I left work as soon as office hours finished so that I could make the most of a warm, sunny afternoon to go walking and geocaching!I had found the geocaches on the northern side of The Pinnacles a few months ago. This afternoon I headed out to pick up the ones to the south. This was the fifth of five finds. It really was a wonderful place to walk in the sunshine and to enjoy the views in all directions. I startled a small furry animal that dashed away as I approached. Thanks for the cache, The Spindoctors! The cache is in good condition but the log books are damp. It would be worth preserving them, as they have entries going back nearly two decades!
TFTC. Quick find on a windy Saturday walk. The gusts are so strong I cant keep my hat on anymore.
Came by to check on an old cache in my local area. Logs very wet as bag not fully shut and looks like a lot of muggle activity. Suggest fresh bag and logbook. TYFC and history of logs back to 2005!
Looking at a handful of caching in Canberra. I've added this one to the list. Thanks for the cache!
This cache was the main reason I wanted to come up to check out this park given its age.
It was a good trek over to it for a quick find, but a nice quick find, wasn’t expecting to find a container from an event in my home state here!
It’s always awesome to look through the old historical log entries from so long ago on these caches that contain some of the original logbooks. And a fantastic view as well.
Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the logbook nice and dry.

Love the views and the stroll off the beaten track. Spied what has to be the most classic GZ from some distance away. On arrival not disappointed, there it was tucked securely away. Signed logbook. Sorry not to bring dry logbook after reading previous note but had no intention of walking this far at the start of my wanders. Tftc
I’ve replaced the cache container with one I got as part of a Secret Santa. I was also going to pop in a new log but forgot to bring it. The existing ones are damp.
Fourth find of today's adventure around one of Canberra's many lovely reserves. Like previous finders have noted, we found the log in a surprisingly good state given it had only natural protection (the container is in pieces). We might have to come back and provide a new container another time, if no one else beats us to the punch. Thanks The Spindoctors for the hide
Cache is somehow dry despite the container having disintegrated. Amazing what a little natural protection can do. Quick find and a breathtaking view TFTC
Quick find off the boundary path at the pinnacle. Lovely views from here.
Container is badly damaged and open to the elements.

Found with Sophiescout, one of the older containers we have found, but now it is in need of a new lid. Log is dry. TFTC
No lid to be found with the cache. Signed and returned the surprisingly dry log sheets. Tftc
Cache is in disrepair and in need of a need container. The views are still great though.
What a lovely wet afternoon for a nice 2km return walk. But hey why not. Cache found in its nice quiet spot. Great view of the developing Whitlam from here. Cheers.

The GeoHound and I thought this would be a nice day to do a circuit of some of the caches around The Pinnacle. The grass is very long off-trail - glad I had my boots and reptile-dissuading gaiters on. This cache was found in good condition without issue after a loud traipse through the grass as we encouraged any slithering reptiles to move out of the way! Thanks, Spindoctors.
Found with F.E.iron.
Exploring this part of the Pinnacle with the dog. Brilliant weather, lots of bird calls.

Out on a later afternoon caching adventure with nibletricecakes and GLISS!.
The main aim was for nibletricecakes and I to pick up Pinnacle of Canberra as part of our JASMER challenge, however, we picked up several others on the loop around.
Gorgeous sunset as we signed the log.

Out on a lovely walk in the pinnacles with Minniek and Gliss! This was the aim of the night as we need it for a Jasmer,so nice to finally make it. Beautifully sunsets and a lovely cool breeze complimented the company. NFF at GZ Tftc
Found with help... see picture! He thought he would check for food just in case.
Thanks The Spindoctors for the cache. SSW

Very nice views. We used to live in Canberra, and those new suburbs were just countryside! Good to see the changes. A good place for a cache.
With my jobs done this morning & nothing planned until school pickup, I headed to The Pinnacles for a much needed walk & some caching. The cache was a quick find & in good condition. TFTC!
This was my target for this evenings walk with the geohound. I have cached at the pinnacle a few times but never collected this one. As the extreme heat of the day had passed, it was time to get out and collect a few more smilies in this area. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache as it fills a gap on my jasmer. Tftc.
Like one earlier cacher, I had forgotten the hills one has to face to get to ground zero, but the walk is well worth the view, and yes, so great to find such an older cache. Tftc
Thanks for the cache. Worth the hills to get here. Out enjoying spring with MrWindy
Found 10:31 15/9/18 with TheTrueCornDogs on a beautiful spring morning. Great views from here. Thank you The Spindoctors for the cache and bringing me to this location.
I decided to come out for a walk in the Pinnacle today to grab many caches that I have been meaning to grab for many years now! I then remembered that their were two caches with 40+ favourite points, a puzzle and a old cache from 2003 I decided it couldn't wait any longer!
---
A 2003 cache! Always good to find the older ones, one that I have looked at multiple times and told myself I need to grab at some stage! Wandered over today after doing a small loop and grabbing some other caches, reached GZ and stuck my head in to spot the cache. Lucky I have long arms!
Thanks for placing this cache

The new suburbs are starting to ruin the view, but it’s still great if you turn to the right Peaceful corner of the park, and a nice easy find once we got to GZ. Thanks for hiding!
Found with Geosnag1 and the geohound.
Thanks for giving me a reason to visit this beautiful spot

This spot has a brilliant view. It's nice to find such an old cache too. I'm adding it to my favourites!
Spent a couple of hours walking with the family and finding caches. What a beautiful place and a really fun area to find caches. Tftc!
Our last cache of the day. What a view!

I spent the afternoon cleaning up some of the easily obtainable holes in my current JASMER. There are obviously not all available in Canberra and surrounds, but I will be traveling to the US later this year so want to make sure I target what I need.
So, this meant a stroll around the lake then off the the Pinnacle
This was the sixth of the day

What a view. It should be obvious that there's one up here, but until you're there..

I always enjoy a survey marker, especially with a view, and rocks, and a shady area to sit and enjoy the view on our traipse around the Pinnacle. A little bit of rain a few days ago had cleared the air, so the grass was long and lush (though an easy little path to follow). Sat and admired. Signed the log, left a treasure. TFTC.
Found with Chakram and another friend today while exploring the Pinnacles. Fantastic views from this location. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC.
Exploring the Pinnacles with Legocacher and also introducing a friend to geocaching. Great views and a handy natural seat nearby. TFTC
Wow, a high 20s temperature. Geopartner, geohound and I headed to this area to have a nice walk and collect seven caches.
Fifth for the afternoon. Rain was trying to come down - big spots, but not many of them thankfully. So we didn't stick around long. Great to get an old cache - still in good condition. TFTC The Spindoctors

Came out to the pinnacle this afternoon with family and hounds and had a nice walk around. Been a while since we have had them all out here and once they stomped out the grumps at being made to be there, all warmed up to it and had a good time! Cache was found well and enjoyed the views, just a bit too early for the sunset but nice anyway. Thanks fort he cache The Spindoctors!
Great view, great breeze. No muggles, but lots of kangaroos standing by. Found with Wethinks
