Sadly DNF, looked around places where I thought it could be. We did however enjoy the sun and the view so thanks for bringing us up here
A lot of overgrowth and short on time. Might be well hidden or gone. Did not find.
Up in Waipu for IRB North Island Champs. Impromptu walk to stretch the legs and grab the cache. No pen with us so photo attached. Looking forward to a couple of days of racing and exploring the area. TFTC.
had a great night at the campsite here and were then lucky enough to have a great view here in the morning!
Lost the pen on the wade over to GZ. Got to the top and was blown away by the views Stunning location, got wet on the journey over, picked possibly the deepest bit of the stream? or maybe the tide was in?Never mind, worth the scramble to GZ, the tree is looking a bit battered. Thanks for the hide Riser5
Stayed in the cove for 2 days and decided to grab it while bf surfs. Lovely view from up here and beautiful bay on the other side. Thanks for the cache. Heading back to SA soon so hope I get a chance to grab a few more. Unfortunately no pen so hope photo log of cache will do.
Cache is still intact after the recent storms but the host tree has fallen. A beautiful view and a lovely cove below. Thanks for maintaining this oldie.
Out for the day with my sister and her family. Once the tide was low enough we made the crossing and found this with my nephews. The host is looking a little worse for wear and was possibly knocked over in the recent cyclone?

This was our last physical cache find in New Zealand as it was unfortunately nearly time to go back home to London! TFTC.
Had to wait till until wading depth was more suitable. A bonus cache when holidaying with a group of non cachers TFTC
Having failed at my first pass I pushed through to the beach to catch up with my kiwi hosts and the extended family. They looked like they were going to be taking in the sun for another 30 min so i had another crack at this one.
Through search of both trees and came away empty which was a disappointment after such a great walk.
Yes!! Got it! Great view over the cove. Was confused with my left initially but recovered from that and found it in good shape, thanks!
I vaguely recall attempting this cache at dusk in the wrong tide, etc and giving up. This time our only handicap was my muggle mother, who fortunately had enough patience to wait this one out. We found it without pushing any time barriers today. Cache all in good order. Tftc
Waipu cove on a lovely day. Can’t be beaten. Thanks for bringing us up here. Great cache.
I was back in the area today with the Westie ladies, one who was a previous finder of this cache and she confirmed it was indeed missing so we took the liberty of replacing it with a medium sized pill bottle as per hint. Hope the CO doesn't mind
After lunch on the beach with S/N, Merlot and Nette we made our way over the water towards gz. We replaced the cache in an obvious place that matched the hint.
Pretty sure this has gone despite it being found 2 weeks ago. Two of us spent 15 minutes looking everywhere for what everyone else says is an easy find.
Heading to Waipu after finding a few caches on the Mangawhai clifftop walkway. Stopped to go after this one. Found it reasonably quickly. Short walk with an impressive view.

Tftc!!!! Just made it before high tide lol. Cute little grassy cliff area, beautiful ocean views. 11/10 for sure…!
Roadtrip time, day 7.
I have used the Easter weekend combined with taking 4 days leave this week to get in a 9-day driving tour, hoping to get as far north as 90 mile beach in order to seek the recently published PWGT caches throughout Northland, as well as catch up with 4 different sets of friends.
I had spent last night at the campground in Waipu, and today was looking to head over to the west coast of Northland and then onto 90 Mile Beach. I didn't know it as I started my day, but by tonight I will only have gotten as far as Opononi after a very full days caching.
I wasn't sure of the best way to approach this cache, but I was able to park up at the start of the track and make my way across the sand and stream without getting my feet wet. Mind you, the seaweed or algae in the stream didn't half pen and ink!
Once at GZ, I took in the available views nearby before looking for the cache which was a quick find thanks to the very accurate co-ords. I'm glad I didn't need the Hint as it was a bit too cryptic for me,to understand even after finding the cache! I encountered no issues with either the container or the log, which was swiftly signed before the whole lot was replaced exactly as found.
Thanks for setting up and maintaining this cache.

I write "WRITE NOTE" because it's a time when we can't go on a long adventure, so I travel in the memories of my visits. That's why I'm only stretching the Travel Bug from the adventures in New Zealand. Writing "Found it" is no longer correct, but it wasn't today.
I am sending a beautiful greeting from the Czech Republic.

Last stop here before we get an iced coffee and head down the line to home. Parked in the busy beach car park and took in a wonderful lungful of sulphur? which abounded the area. A hop and a skip over the stream then around the headland and up to GZ had me with dry feet and a cache in hand. All good with this recent replacement and replaced as found. Stunning views from GZ too.
We had planned this weekend to head up to Northland to catch up with our son and his family, and in retrospect glad we chose Saturday rather than Sunday, esp after going into lockdown for a fourth time on the Sunday morning! In truth there was only one cache I was especially bothered about finding and in doing so I doubled my PWGT finds! We had a nice time in and around the Waipu area, and spent a good few hours on Langs Beach in the blazing sunshine. Also got a few more Riser caches because . . . . . it wouldn't be a trip to Northland without some Riser caches!!

Been on a whirlwind trip to far north. On my way home and staying the night nearby. Saw this oldie on map and spent over an hour dissecting every foot hold and about to give up when I found remenants of original container. See pic. Have contacted co and replaced with a temp container for now As it would be a shame to lose such an old hide.
A nice walk from Ruakaka this morning and after we got to the camp ground and settled in.
I ventured out to get some food and spotted this one close by so why not give this one a go .
A quick search soon had it in hand .
Found a place to sign and return
Living life one foot steep at a time as i walk from cape reinga to bluff and caching my way home as I walk the
Te Araroa and discover the hidden treasures new Zealand has to offer.
From the beach of the north to the forest and lakes of the south

Nice easy find for our 3rd of the day. No room on paper to log and container lid is cracked. I've hid it under as much shelter as possible but probably needs a new container at some point. We left a few small pieces for any kids to enjoy. Thanks so much! KLR
Wonderful views from gz! What a delightful beach, and a lovely wee hidden beach revealed itself from gz as a bonus. Thanks for bringing us here! Favourite Point awarded and well deserved!
Wet Sunday in the area. Last few caches with company of SOLRAC TWO. Reading previous logs helps. Beautiful views from here. I can watch surfers for hours. T4TC
Second time and readed the listing carefully before searching. And got it with tramyard. TFTC
After a welcome code t tge busiest and most efficient cafe I have seen in a long time, we ventured over here. Looked on north levels and birth trees. Finally located in a spot that loosely followed the hint. Thanks for maintaining this cache Riser5
This took a bit to find.as both GPS had us at the second..the hint did not match..anyway all good a smilie thanks awesome outlook
Took us a while to find this one. Had to think bigger for the legs.
What a magnificent view. Best cache stop so far.

AliGle and I spent the night near Waipu and today drove back to Auckland via the coast and did a few short walks and some caching along the way. Waded across the creek and up the hill to this one, soon finding the cache in the 2nd spot that I looked. Great views up and down the coast from here and a nice little adventure to get to the cache. TFTC - fav point added.
Had a good look round but couldn't see anything. Muggles have dropped off a bit now.
We were staying in Mangawhai heads but decided to head north to catch up with an old friend who lives in Waipu. It was a fantastic day so we met here so the kids could have a play and run around. They even braved the water for a swim. We had a great afternoon here. I was worried this cache might be missing seeing as the last few searchers have come up empty. I checked the obvious spot first and then was I thought was a more likely spot and sure enough there it was. Gets a favorite point for the great location. TFTC
Had the place to myself, so took plenty of time to look - and didn't need to be subtle about it.
But I couldn't find the cache.
That's the way it goes sometimes.

Found it with the family on an afternoon explore while camping. Restocked it with kid friendly treasures for swapping.
Got wet feet getting to it then I enjoyed the find and the views didn’t mind the the wet feet getting back after the find TFTC
Oh, dear - wet feet definitely necessary! Luckily the afternoon was warm and sunny, and the cache well worth finding. What a delightful spot! A favourite from me. TFTC
I decided to make a long weekend trip to Auckland region to see my favorite band Halestorm at the Power station Wednesday evening plus visit friends who are moving back to the UK in the next few months. Plus those who attended one of my three events had a bit of a fun surprise. I had tagged a few caches in Auckland and lower Northland which would help with my D/T grid and Jasmer challenge. Its very hard to pass so many good caches as I travelled around but I will do a proper trip before/during the 2020 Auckland Mega, although a week is unlikely to be enough time to make a dent.... oh well need some for training/work trips to the area too. Apologies for the generic log - that's the problem when lone caching - you don't always have time to write a good unique log at the time.
Yay another dot filled in on my grid. A nice spot and glad I could get to it without wading. Had to wait to finish my icecream though before I started the climb up - a lovely evening to just sit on the beach and chill.

TFTC! Found it after a little bit of a climb with DevonDumpling23 on our holiday!
Quick find after a nice swim with CreasyBear. Off for a little vino now, TFTC!
With Lemmer in New Zealand at amazing caches. Thank you for showing all that beautiful places. flatrate
Found it after a nice stroll on the beach starting at our campground (and back). Had to do some climbing but got it!
Found a container which was not unusual.
Paper inside was gobbled by snail or moths. I think we found an old geocache, but we signed it anyway and replaced.
Lovely views here.

Wow..........up in Waihi for Clean Up event plus geocaching!
Sure was an unusual container!
Was surprised it seems to be on private land?

Great place to visit at sunset. We’re staying overnights get at the local campsite and we’re able to go for a stroll on the deserted beach this afternoon in the glorious sun! What’s wrong with you Kiwi’s, where were you all? We didn’t complain as we relished having the whole beach to ourselves!
Thanks Riser5 for the geocache!
