Mmmmmm......... This may still be here - or not. Doesn't seem to be a lot of places to hide a regular size cache or any size for that matter. Checked out all the obvious and not so obvious places. Nowt. Widened the search area. Nowt. Did find one pretty good spot right at GZ which seemed the most likely hiding place - nowt. Will check with a friend who has found this.
After reaching the beacon in the Richary space suit, the final location should not have proved a problem. A large interstellar vessel lurked just outside the galactic edge but didn't prove a threat. However a search for the remaining container was unsuccesful. Had a good search of the area without leaping out into the void where the positioning unit wanted me. Unfortunately the Drunken Gunmen remnants will have to wait for another day.
Thanks for a fun day out , had run out for the fitness cach and contunied up to enjoy more of this great day
a easy find
a easy find
After watching 2 whales frolicking off the coast not 200 metres away, I set off to find the beacon. Now you can park at the listed co-ords but I started from Cape Solander and followed the Cape Bailey track, which I had walked on numerous times before. After a few kms I found what I was looking for. Retrieving the necessary information was easy and soon I was headed in the direction of the galactic void.
The pod was soon located, but the gravitational enhancement devices where scattered nearby. Another intergalactic creature seemed to also have made use of the pod as a nesting site, having left part of it's numerous environmental suits behind.
Now I was very fortunate to be here in absolute solitude. There is only one way to retrieve the pod and if there had been alien muggles observing, there would have been no feasible explanation as to what this space invader was doing.
The pod is quite roomy and tucked within it it was a smaller pod which contained a scroll for the recording of history. Even though the original pod was vaporised it's a shame that this repelacement no longer contains a real logbook. If I had known I would have brought one along.
there's nothing that I enjoy more on an intergalactic geo journey than to have a good read of the logbook. Reading the log scroll is not quite the same.
Completing my mission, I rescued the creature TB's within, which seemed to have halted their time travel, due to a suitable lack of space travellers.
Scanning the galaxy for aliens, I replaced the pod and this time reinstalled the gravitational enhancement devices.
While returning to the alternate docking station, I encountered a space serpent, very large and black. I retreated and showed my defensive manouvers and it soon realised I came in peace. The creature allowed me to continue on my voyage.
Making sure I was devoid of any space dust, I entered my own star ship and returned to planet Earth.

Our first of four on a lovely coastal walk this afternoon. The cache description was very fitting for the terrain we crossed; it felt like we were in a scene from Star Wars!
Super views from the cache site!
Took a toy skull, left a small cup, some gemstones & a bouncy ball. Also took a TB, and left a TB & a coin.

I did the walk from the recommended parking area with the geoson in tow. This is an amazing area even though there is evidence of industry everywhere you look. We found the beacon and counted cables not conduits. GZ was spot on and soon the log was done and the real reason I came all the way out here was in my cache bag! Thats right a certain TB being the supreme commander. Now it's back out west after a small deviation and a Alien Outpost puzzle to figure out.
Thanks for the bringing us here well worth the effort took 2 TB's but made no swaps.

thanks for another great cache found this one just before dark and the rain but had to deal with very strong winds but overall it was good droped off alien tb and frippy left tb too thanks
The sun was going down and the wind was smashing me in the face like ice cubes, the storm clouds in the distance..
Will we make it back to the car in time??
This was our final cache for the day, after a local search of the area..
We found the galactic edge, I nearly thought I'd be blown off.. Cache in hand, quick swap, sign and drop then on our way home..
Thanks Drunk..

I have used this beacon for navigation before, and today navigated to it. The observational task completed I was soon searching for the cache in a spectacular location. Once found I took the TB to allow it to continue its travels.
Thanks "Drunken Gunmen" for a great cache. The view from the Galactic Edge was spectacular - thanks for taking us to see it.
We had an easy walk around the rocks and used the well defined track (there's no need to go walking through the scrub at all).
We had been wanting to do this one for a while and the chance to take "It's a small world" TB to the Edge of the Galaxy was just the excuse we needed.
We left a radio for monitoring any incoming space-signals and a multi-tool for Pod repairs.

Great walk to cache on a steamy hot day. The walk up the sandy slopes were a bit slow, but the views were great.
An interesting view from WP1, but a stunning one from GZ.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found this one with MaxH without too much fuss. Everything seems to be intact. Great hiding spot.
Our sixth of the day out of nine finds, including a clean sweep of the Kurnell penisula. The becon was located without drama, then it was off to the edge of the galactic void where Abuseme beat myself and Shaggys to the actuall find before I'd even taken my pack off. I still love this area. Thanks Gunmen!
Parked the car at the south carpark at about 5:45pm. By the time I found the cache, I had to run all the way back to the car, so I could beat the ranger closing the gate.
Pretty scary running in the dark over those rocks.. lol
took travel bug, left ses whistle.

The cache is gone. Given how strong the winds were today I have a feeling that they are the cause of the disappearance. It was hard enough to stop myself from being swept into the void, let alone a cache which had probably had most of it's bulkier swaps removed. SWAG agg's June 25 log seems to indicate that the cache was more visible than it should have been so maybe it had already been dislodged.
As there are a number of similar caches in the area I will probably change the nature of this cache - sometime soon.

See you on the dark side of the moon...

The second one I found, not too hard. Beautiful! Easy walk.

Had the day off and my niece was in town from QLD so what else are you going to do? The co-ords were spot on and we found it quickly. It's surprising that this hasn't been found by Muggles as it's easy to spot. We saw lots of whales cruising past - fabulous! Left Spirit Level. Took Folding Comb.
Nice walk to the spaceship. Got the clue. No trouble finding the cache - easy hiding spots on this side of the sun. Thankyou space cadets. If you can hear champagne corks popping it's because Stubby Holder has hit the big 200 (caches that is). What a galactic feat!
A bit too close to the Galactic Void for my liking, but my daughter found it with little trouble
Took HK$10.00, left Yowie toy (Bennett's Nudibranch)

I braved the alien landscape (amazing isn't it?), and located the beacon pretty quickly. Fortunately I only needed my lightweight anti-precipitation suit.
A short trek and the cache had been located.
I paused for a short while to take nourishment and observe the passing water craft. I also observed strange water-borne creatures, huge in size, which commonly pass by this area at this time of year.

I have had this on my list for ages, and now it is done.
I thought about chasing the spaceship into the void, but NAA.
Thanks GEK another good one.
TNLN except TB.
Thanks
Wookie

This one had me lying on my stomach sticking my head over the cliff - the first of many times today. Turned out to be unnecessary...
Nice location.........
I know .......
I will put a cache out here too........
Thanks for the ideal location for RBTB2 Gek.
I knocked this over on the way to place mine out out in the wild.
Nicely done Drunken Gunmen

Having a cache close by meant I knew exactly where to park. Its not normally a long walk to GZ, but in the heat of today this was a real effort. Headed straight to GZ punching in all possible combinations. BINGO.... Swapped a CD & magnet for dictionary plus the TB.... Thnaks Drunken men
Nice easy Find, teamed up with Alternate Route for a day of caching.
Located the beacon gatered required information the off to find the pod. Once the pod was located exchanged a candle for a toy soldior and lft "Bug Me"travel bug.

Took an Iron-On label kit and left a combination Brush and mirror (for those bad hair days).
I have been out near here a few times with Conservation Volunteers Australia removing Bitou Bush... great fun.

Great location to watch the fleet on its way down to Tassie. Which is why we choose to do this one today. Luckily we found the cache before the crowds turned up so then we just had to wait for the boats. When they finally turned up they where to far out to get any decent photos.
Fantastic location and views, good fun. Took a mini carabiner and left a golf ball.
Nice one Gunmen, although WP2 is not a good place to be when you are drunk.

Lovely walk along the cliff edge. Was confronted by 4 teenage vandals at WP1 trying to break down the door. Fortunately they decided to move on upon our presence. Quickly gathered necessary info and proceeded to wp2. Found cache very quickly. Took bicycle repair kit and CD-RW Left Rainforest Santuary CD. Thanks Drunken Gunmen
A quick visit after work, and the cache was revealed. Do be careful at the final cache site, its an awfully long drop, if your very close to the edge your looking in the wrong place.
Another great GEK ooops sorry 'Drunken Gunman' cache.
Cheers from
