As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
This cache will be replaced, but I am currently very busy with work and study. Once my exams are over in a couple of week's time I will return to this site and carry out maintenance as required.
Still decided to take a look and enjoy the nice walk but no cache as expected.
This waypoint is almost on my back door step and didn't know that the park exsisted What a gr8 little park for those that are interested in knowing about our NZ native trees. Got the right co-ordinates hunted around as the code said. but no luck. Evidence of others that have also been hunting.
My son and I tried to find this morning with no luck. Little track made from past finds obviously, but looked under and around all the little trees with no luck although there was a spot that looked like it had something stashed there not long ago.
Tried to find this during a quick trip to Tauranga for function at the Lodge next door. Looked at the base of at lease a dozen small trees, but no luck.
We know we were in the right area but didn't have any luck...we're going to head back again this week.
My/our very first attempt at Geocaching. 7 year old was so proud to have found it-and he thinks swapping the keyring we brought for the ball was a brilliant trade!!! There is a bit of a 'track' for the last 4 metres to the cache from the landmark, which made it nice and easy for a learner.
TFTC ... a very nice walk, and we did hear some Tuis in the trees. Just lovely. Thank you!
Lovely walk on the easy path to an excellent cache. This was a lovely break on the trip to Auckland so many thanks for this one. Never knew the park was there!! Sun was shining and below the wind so it was very peaceful. + TB + Jandal - tennis ball.
Good walk with the very noisey cicadas keeping us company! On the prowl with the Jumboz's TNLN Cheers Muzy Man!
Drove under a blue sky full of rain. Luckily the rain stopped before I go to the carpark.
Took Yellow Jeep. race may be over, but a change of scenery is always good.

Came by and dropped off TB for a visit - I'm sure it'll enjoy 4WDing here. The park has had some work and the swamp is empty and just a stream - looks strange in comparison to recent photo listed in a log.
We were passing by this nice little hidden reserve on our way to Whakatane. The round trip is great and relaxing and there were no problems in finding the cache. Well chosen spot.
Two days later on our way back to Auckland, we stopped again for having lunch.

Easy find, knocked it off while passing through on “Walkaboutabitâ€. Geo Doggy was miraculously subdued today, as his barking didn’t last too long, must have been too hot for him.

Early morning walk on the wet grass, think we went the long way round. Did the loop. A quick find and a nice walk, very quiet. TNLN. Thanks.
found on a leisurely stroll with Calory. A breath of fresh air with the kids thanks.
Too hot for the kids to do this walk so they stayed and played under the trees. near the car.

Our first cache on a lovely Saturday morning, with the local foxy in attendance.
Yes, slippery when wet, as RadioNut discovered (twice!!) coming back down from the cache.
Left "T4TC" geocoin to begin it's journey. Hope it travels around many caches.

Found this one without trouble. We also had an encounter with a cute little dog. He followed us all the way back to the car and we were worried that he would follow us out onto the road but he seemed to understand that the game ended once we got into our car. He headed home. TFTC.
Nice little trek and once the kids got through the gorse and got to the riches it was all good...lol
Found with not too much trouble nice little walk around. A cute little neighbourhood dog came out to have a play lol

Our second found in NZ. Nice trail around the creek.
We left nothing and took nothing out.

Arrived at the carpark to find a bus load of muggles were in the park. Managed to avoid them and find the cache. In Highlighter and out hacky sack. Thanks
5.20pm. We arrived just on dusk and after heavy showers so we got our feet wet. It is a delightful place and as well as lots of birdlife there were a number of animals. Because it was so wet we didn't go right round. Will have to come back again.
Many thanks TNLN

Nice day, lovely walk, easy find. Just up the road from home. Been here before but not with the GPS.
A hidden gem in semi-rural Te Puna. This is the first ever ‘hunt the cache’ for the Ryan and Kelsie junior team. Determined not to be stumped we probed the undergrowth with care (gorse can be unforgiving) but also intent on achieving success. Eureka – spotted at last. Contents found to be a bit soggy, container not entirely waterproof.

Reached ground zero no problems, but were immediately set upon by a doberman trapped in a jack russel. Fortunately there was a lady doing some gardening about 10 metres away(believe it or not) and she called him off. *Unfortunately* she hung around like a bad smell after, and we were forced to retreat to the next cache.
Maybe we'll make it back next trip.

Found after some scratching around which developed into a systematic search pattern. Container is very damp (emptied free water out) and could do with a visit by someone on a sunny day and a bit of time to kill. TNLNSL

Found with JDHnz. First managed to veer off in the wrong direction (through no fault of MY own) but got there in the end. Bit boggy in places but there were plenty of pukekoes that seem to enjoy that!
A nice place to have a think and watch some ducks. The landmark is impressive. I wonder how long it has been since it was a little lad and how much longer it will remain. Lots of nice places to sit and have a think.

Still a bit wet, but nice walk. How many of these hidden
reserves are there around here!? Thought TB Duck would
enjoy the company here, despite a somewhat circular
migration pattern.

Found this spot fairly easy enough and enjoyed the walk. Located the cache after deciphering the clue and found that it was a bit wet inside.. Dried it out as best as possible.. Took nothing..
A quick sprint before the rain fell in a vengence. Container a bit damp think the Bubbles is leaking. Didn't hear the birds but deafened by cicadars. Took Bubbles Left Kiwi. Went to use the Bubbles for my bubble bath with great expectation only to find that they were the sort you blew through a ring to make bubbles!!!!
A very hot day for a stroll in quite a nice spot.
Left only a note and took only photographs....
Thanks

Thanks to Rick-a-mortis, found the cache after discounting the obvious position. Took a pen and left a variety of hooks. Cheers.
went to check this cache on behalf of tga wookie as woox4 couldn't find and he was on holiday so it is fine but the bubbles lid was insecure so i dried the container and replaced it, all is well with it if you get this carl

An easy find in a nice area I wouldn't have known about otherwise. Thanks, Carl. Took & left nothing but the log entry.
Easy find after an easy walk on a nice, almost summer, day. I never knew this lake or reserve was there. Neither did the makers of my maps!
There was quite a bit of birdsong even in the early afternoon.
No swaps.
Thanks TgaWookie

YES! [:o)] I got there first - I had to have at least one first! Anyway, the day was pretty awful -overcast & drizzle. My daughter & I had a wander around the lake. There are plenty of ducks and fantails around, and a pukeko or 2.
I highly reccommend doing this one when it's dry - the track was extremely slippery on one side of the lake, even on the flat.
Found the cache in the first place I looked, though not the first time I looked there! After wandering around the long wet grass I started again and got it.
No swops - just the first entry in the log.
Then we were off to the quarry - I'll come back another day to feed the ducks.
