Hi,
I no longer have connections to the area, so I'll have to let this one go.
Hopefully one of the locals can use this spot for another cache some day.
Thanks to all who visited.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
My mini cacher got stung by a wasp so the chase was abandoned. Maybe another day it will be found.
Found the location and spent a good 15 minutes searching but was unsuccessful. Suspect the cache has gone missing.
I crawled high and low for half an hour... but to no avail. I agree with the earlier logs and suspect it's gone. A great spot though and worth the effort!
Agree with last cacher: I had a good 15min search including pictured cave and surrounds, and couldn't turn up the cache. It looks to be gone [:-(]
Crikey !!
What an interesting spot
Nice views of the flatlands to the west and of the ever expanding Griffith in front.
It's starting to look like any other bit of suburbia down there now
I could see some orange groves in the distance.
It will be interesting to see if the developers start buying them up to put more houses on, like they do to prime agricultural land in Brisbane [:o)]
Meanwhile....
Day after day,
Alone on a hill,
The man with the Gee Pee Ess is keeping perfectly still
But no cache wants to know him,
They can see that he's just a fool,
And he never finds a smilie,
But the fool on the hill,
Has an unfound frown,
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning 'round [xx(]
Oh!! I shouldn't stand that close to cliff edges [:o]
With no cache found after an energetic 20 minute rock wallaby session, I called up the picture hint on the phone.
I looked in the pictured cave for the third time and still no cache in there.
I don't say it often...
In cache I am wrong...
But this time I'm certain,
The cache...she's a gone !!

Great views after a bit of a scramble through the rocks. TNLN, then went to look at the Hermit's cave. Thanks.
Great view! Thanks for bringing us here SWAG tim.

Or the first hill... if you're coming from Adelaide. I really enjoyed this cache, just after finding it a bird of prey (falcon?) took a smaller bird from a large flock. Great display of nature!
Just followed down there and moved some rocks. Didn't do much. Long live the king.
tough hiding place but found easily enough once i looked at the spoiler picture, one of three night caches found in one night
17th find for the day and what a fantastic site. Took a heap of photos and had a look around. Thanks for showing me this spot.
Fantastic view, forgot camera. Took tape measure, left a whale and a Smoky the Bear pin from the US Forest Service.
We found GZ but there was nothing there and no evidence of the cache being there.
The view is great and even tho' the cache may have not been in a dangerous place,
you certainly need sturdy footwear in and around the lookout. If you are a bit of a 'moutain goat',
you can go exploring and find the Hermit's Cave.

Found whilst caching westward with Winglen and McPhan.
Lucky we could drag up the picture to limit the amount of nooks and crannys we would otherwise have had to explore. Good view from the hill too, thanks SWAG tim.

Reading the logs as we approached this one in the car almost made us give up before we started, but due to the wonders of mobile internet we downloaded the photo and made the find fairly swiftly. Excellent views here over the housing development below, so the town seems to be doing well for itself. TNLN. Thanks Swag Tim.
2295. A lucky escape with a DNF at the last cache we moved on to this one. Thank Enos the god of caching that the lucky dongle was with us and we were able to view the clue. Saved us a lot of time in a mostly unsuccessful detour through Griffith.

Couldnt find it but had a good bit of exercise trying... photo clue would have been useful but we resorted to it too late... Will try again next time I'm in town.
Found nice one good hidden.Lovely view over Griffifth Town and plenty of boulder caves.T.F.T.C
Great view of the area at first light.
Had our morning exercise running up the hill.
Plenty of hiding places but the GPS was accurate to within one meter.

On our way to Bourke to do the Darling River Run, tackling the sights of Griffith he created quite a magnificent abode.TN, left GCA sticker.
After nabbing the scenic hill cache we headed around a little further and really enjoyed the view at this cache. The Hermit's Cave was also a great little spot that I had only been made aware of a few weeks earlier when playing around with Google earth. Great coordinates had the cache in hand early and GeoJnr enjoyed making the swaps.
D was not with us today as she stayed back to chat with her cousins but when we returned home and were talking about the cache and the Hermit's Cave she did remember a photo she came across when she was doing the family history with Team GraMon. Apparently D's Uncle Bob worked with Velerio Ricitti when they were both in Broken Hill many moons ago. D actually had a picture that was taken with Bob at the Hermit's Cave when he was paying Velerio a visit. Bob had always admired Velerio's handy work and had often taken a lot of his advice on when planning the construction of roads and bridges throughout the Riverina district.
TFTC SWAG tim and also the trip down memory lane. Cheers.

An interesting place with excellent history. Pity that there is so much broken glass in the vicinity....but good cache and excellent hide.

Found by Team Beama on our way home from six months in the Northern Territory. Great view. Thanks SWAG Tim.
Found not long after finding Dom's Dilemma. It was good to be able to do Griffith's oldest and newest caches 25 minutes apart. Great views from here. TNLN thanks SWAG tim.

Took a few friends walking in the area to see what flowers and plants were coming up after the rain.
Also taught them to Geocache!! Lucky we found it.

Another great area and history point where I looked around for over 1 hour after finding the cache - great views and cache point. TNLN
Yep. Hot day, I interrupt the search for getting my sunscreen. As I want to give up, I found it. Under the stones it is cool, I think the candle from the founder before will not melt. It's a nice place, nice views on Griffith the changing city (farms goes down, we found no work here, but many new rich homes are in building process). Also I lost my girlfriend while searching. I found she in Hermits Kitchen
Thank You SWAG tim for the Cache

Having driven over from Adelaide recently (but a bit further south) I know just how flat it is! Had been in Griffith for the day for work and with time to kill before the flight home it was time to go caching. Great view of the building storm clouds I would soon be taking off into [B)] Luckily it wasn't too rough in the end. TNLNSL, thanks SWAG tim.
Found it after a lot of hunting around - there are a lot of potential hiding spots here. Checked the photo hint and found it.
Took a small Angel, left a pen for the log.

Came to Griffith to visit relatives and couldn't go without trying the local caches. Got this with EMNMNL who had some idea of where to find it so it only took a bit of searching. Great spot, top view of the area and the urban sprawl taking over the orchards. TFTC.
Well I finally did it!! After a DNF last time ( 2 years ago) I've finally checked out the cache that I said I would look after! Took dice left $2 coin.

Got a 'smack on the scone' at this one... Bloody geokid poked me with a stick, while retrieving... The views are way better here. What you didn't mention was the views of the canals with all that evaporating water in them. [B)]

Found this one while out at Griffith for a work trip. This is one great spot. I was fascinated to read about the history of the area and even checked out the "Hermit's" old home. There were plenty of people up here tonight but they were all on the far side of the lookout.
Thanks SWAG tim for another great lookout over Griffith. A nice quick find.

Found at 10:05. As usual, took the long, scenic way up to this one (there was a road that I didn't know about nearby). It had recently been raining, so I also rediscovered the joy of red clay soil sticking to my boots.... Once there, there were no tourist muggles at all. Great view of the surrounding countryside, but I was a bit sad to see the orchards being bulldozed to make way for housing.
T: Bouncing ball
L: Tonto TB - he hates water, so this is pretty far away from it (leaving aside irrigation channels!!). Plus, a TB may get some traffic moving with this cache.

Found this one pretty easy. Down the hill, hop from rock to rock and turn left at the dead goat. TNLNSL, Solo Team Bluedog
This was a great spot to get out and get a bit of exercise as well as taking in a great view of the local scenery. Obviously an animal has died in the area recently and the smell was less than pleasant. Luckily the cache was found relatively quickly and easily and we were able to complete the paperwork in a more pleasantly scented area

What a great cache . It's even better if you don't decode the hints. I do wish that I had looked at the photo in the gallery though. It would have saved me climbing in to a few tight spots.
It was interesting to go look at the hermit caves afterwards. A nice extra to the cache.
Took Pliers and left a pig.

Great rocks. And fascinating hermit story, really interesting to explore his "houses".
I made the mistake of approaching cache from the wrong direction, most undignified. Thanks SWAG tim for the sort of cache I really appreciate; history, scenery and a little bit physical.

A few years have passed, and finally I get back to this one!
Nabbed at 12:40 PM... Pretended to be taking photos (OK, so I did actually take some photos as well) to throw off the muggles, and got it this time round.
Thanks SWAG Tim, glad I could finally find this one.

Hi
This was a good one to find. We had nothing to add so we took nothing. Tricky... as there are a few posibilities. Just made a note in the logbook as the first to find for the new year. Thanks from Team Pear

Emmnmnl has agreed to look after it if I am ever unable to. He lives in Griffith where the cache is located.
I have wondered about this one for a long time & thought I might just go and have a real good look, just in case it might be there still. I had to go there for work today & always wondered about this place. Cache maintenance check completed and all found totally in order. I'm very glad I looked now. It is well hidden & I returned it to its place.
The cache can now be UnArchived. Hopefully the other local teams can go and have another serious look & find it too.
Took a golf ball & left a pen
Thanks SWAG tim.

A foggy, cold winter's day, yet a surprising number of muggles around! Great spot with an interesting history. Found the cache in a few minutes without any difficulty at all. Surprised a group of goats - amazingly agile, leaping all around the rocks and cliff face! Unfortunately I didn't have time to fully explore the area but visiting this cache has spiked my interest and I will definitely do so on my next trip.
Took a squeaky mouse, left an elephant key ring.

Cache check.
Someone has found the cache but not yet logged it online.
Some people have been having difficulty with this one so I have changed the hint and added a very generous spoiler photo. Maybe it was a bit too well hidden... It should be a bit easier to spot now (from the right angle).

Fortunately didnt have far to travel from home, and had some X-Mas shopping to do in the nearby CBD. Looked in what I thought (with my limited experience) were all the possible spots at/around the given co-ordinates. Perhaps I didnt look far enough from what I thought the coords were... I was using a Garmin GPS II+ on WGS84, and reception was great, no trees to get in the way. Will have to come back another day I guess.
