Another excellent event, it was great to put some more faces to names and to catch up with others we already knew. Thanks to Maccamob and Two + Four for putting in all the hard work that was needed to make the day run so smoothly. Also a special thanks to half of team Boodi for help with the observational duties.
Thanks to 2+4 and maccamob for a fantastic day! After dressing for a 30 degree day and starting in pouring rain, then finishing the day with the plague of flies... A day for all seasons really!
The Fab Four team began well, overtaking two teams at the first stop then powering on to arrive first - but it was accuracy, not speed that ended up determining the winner - well done Team Biggles/Boodi!
It was a fantastic event, and the card game after work was a great bonus. I've been inspired to start planning a Geelong Cacheopoly event - hope to see you all again when it gets organised!

Thanks to Maccamob for organising a great event. It was a lot of fun despite the weather!
ectizen (geocaching novice, and first event), Caroline (ectizen's sister, and geocaching first-timer) and Josie (ectizen's niece, and also a geocaching firt-timer) attended.
Apart from some kind of fun activity, we had little idea what to expect. What we got was a really enjoyable day, full of adversity (rain, mud, inadequate preparation...) and puzzles.
Thanks to maccamob & Two+Four for a wet, fun, muddy, challenging, wet, interesting, and fun adventure!
And thanks to the other participants for the competition and occasional help.

Thanks Maccamob and two+four for a great event even though the weather left a little bit to be desired.
Also big thanks to GeoJo for inviting me to be a part of the team. Dressed for 30 us degrees but should have
dressed for 30 mls of rain. It was not enough to dampen the fab four team spirit though and we were able to come
in a respectable 3rd place in the overall placings. Looking forward to the next event!!

We returned home from this day tired, wet and dirty and had to let the flies out of the car on our way out of the park. But boy we had a fantastic day. What terrific people and great organization. Thanks to everyone who did a lot of preparation, obviously well before the event as well as on the day. Special thanks for the tracky-dacks Mary! (I know I should have taken them home and washed them but it would have been ages before we would see you again to return them!! )
The tadpoles were let loose on their own for the first time and we believe they were a little devious to some fellow cachers.(Sorry, they did not mean to upset anyone and have been told about "fairplay" during friendly competition for the future). They had a great day too. Thanks everyone for a superb day, hope to catch up with you all again soon, (hopefully without the rain!!).Teamfrogger.

Had a fantastic day and hopefully we can improve our score next time. Possibly by leaving the uni student at home. Thanks to all that attended for making it such an enjoyable day even if the weather was not perfect, and to maccamob and 2+4 for all their effort in putting it together. We may try and host one later in the year over this side of town. Hope you don't mind if we come to you for some advice if necessary. Looking forward to catching up soon.
The half of the team that was able to make it had a great time. The event was very well organised. It seemed a shame about the weather, although the wind did keep the flies off while we were eating.
Shared the spoils with the rest of the team when I got home (a few glasses of red each). Well, I had to ply him with alcohol before telling him he was organising the next event.
Thanks to Biggles Bear for award winning driving and navigating skills and adopting the lone Boodi.
Congratulations to Maccamob and 2+4 for an event well organised.

Thanks for the GREAT day out ... even if we did manage to get the 'booby' prize
Thanks maccamob & Two+Four for all the effort that you put in to this, our first, group get together
For your enjoyment, I've posted a few photos that might help bring back some memories of the 'aftermath' picnic?

Had a fantastic time today - got to put some faces to names of people maccaparents have been speaking about many times before from previous events and in general. Honours go to Biggles Bear and co for their #1 efforts today. however, none of this would be possible without the efforts of maccamob and two+four - they did a great job and it was very well organised and thought out. can't wait for the next one!!!
Our thanks to all the teams who attended today, the first VIC event for 2004. Congratulations in particular to Biggles Bear and Boodi for their fine win, and to placegetters Team Frogger and the Fab Four. Drewscoot didn't go away empty handed , as they won the cache poker prize by a good margin. Hope to see you all again soon.
What a day for the books! We had rain, we had shine, we had gail force winds and those flies but most of all we had fun. Thanks everyone for a great day it was great to see old friends and meet new ones.
Laura and Jenna were both asleep before we left the park and all are keen for the next adventure, especially Keryn so she can set up her shop (LOL)
Once again thanks all for attending and Thanks Maccamob for all your help.

A great day, even though the weather was against us in the beginning. To those that endured and came along I am sure they had a great time. Thanks to Maccamob and Two + Four for putting on the event.
My special thanks to Team Crackers for encouraging me to come along as I am sure I wouldn’t have if left alone.
We decided to knock over a couple of caches on the way home only to discover there was one at the final location on metres away. We did get a smerk from Maccamob as we were seen wandering into the bush having left the BBQ. I think she knew what we were doing.
Look forward to the next gathering.

See y'all tomorrow...... we will probably be the last team to depart for the hunt!
Hi all ... Mrs Drewscoot and I are looking forward to putting some faces to the names. Catch you there - Drewscoot.
we'll be there... should be purchasing our own GRSr soon so won't need to tag along with anyone hopefully (could be good or bad thing).
Oh nuts. Checked diary and I'm on night shift Friday night in Bendigo. Hmm wonder if I can get the night off....
Love to come but might have to try the next one.

We'll be there and we're looking forward to meeting some other geocachers. Hopefully we will also be in the company of Vombatus.
Sorry Maccamob, had a slight change in directional plans and now we won't make it into Melbourne after all, that plus work committments forcing us to come home a couple of days earlier than planned. Hope everyone has a great day.
We will try and attend (if we are back from our travels,) but like most others would also prefer a Saturday in February.Teamfrogger.
I'm looking forward to meeting some other geocachers, so I'll definitely be there, dragging along 1, 2 or 3 others for their first taste of geocaching.
The GeoQuacks would love to come, but unfortunately (or fortunately) we will be in Tasmania over that time. We’re sure that it will be a great event and are sad that we will miss it. It would have been great to get to know some more Melbourne cachers, after getting to know all the Dubbo mob at the recent Beni Trophy Challenge.
Oh dear! We will be away that weekend as it is a long weekend for us. I am sorry, I would love to attend with so many unknown cachers to meet. Sorry Maccamob and 2+4

Hope to be in or around Melbourne at that time, so we'll be there if we can be. Is that a Melbourne Street Directory we'll need?
The last event I went to was geo-tastic and I'd love to do another, but Sunday is the one day of the week I can't make. Good luck and happy new geo-year to all.
I would love to come, but unfortunately I won't be able to make it. Hope everyone has a great time.
I've been looking forward to attending one of these events, but I'll be in Bright at the time. and I'll try to have a good time anyway. Have fun!
awwww...I thought it would be later in January. I can't make that day, but I wish everyone who can make it a super fun day!!!
Sorry as well guys. I will be in Tassie for work until the end of Feb. Maybe it could have the date changed to the start of Feb????
Wish I could make it but Sundays are never good for me I always have commitments else where. Hope all who attend have a ball.
