Sorry peeps, this one's had a nasty fire go right over the top. Sad to say this one is MIA. Hope a new one can go out when the area re-generates!

Certainly not your average Australian Highway... A quick walk from the car park to GZ and after letting the GPSr settle down a little the cache was found in a few minutes (it helps I think to have found a few of Muzza's mountainous caches!)...

Great little hiding spot and spectacular views.

TNLN.

Thanks Muzza

Found at 1.10pm also in the company of Muzza, but in different circumstances to Kiwideb. We met up with Muzza & Kiwideb while working out a clue to another cache just up the road and as we were planning to do this one, Muzza wanted to observe so he accompanied us to GZ. Our GPSr was about 45 degrees out at first, so with a wave of Muzza's arm we were guided to the general area, ditched the GPS and started looking in likely spots. After a couple of goes at one particular spot, we found the well hidden cache. Took: Clip, Left: Flouro pen.
Thanks Muzza (& Kiwideb) nice to have met you and for the interesting abseiling spot.

Found with Muzza looking on. Cache was found at 1145. Swapped in glitter glue for glitter. Lovely day with people absailing down the cliff.
Thanks for the cache Muzza.

If this is a Highway then it must be a Federal funded One[?].
While waiting for information of National importance to arrive by courier pigeon, we decided to go and find this cache because it has stood idle for a whileCool.
After reading the information on the cache I held the boys hands and we walked along the trackSurprised.
Nearing the GZ a group of people walked past and asked if what we were carrying was a GPS. Of all places to meet someone it turned out to be Caughtatwork and after finding and logging the cache we met back at the car park for a quick chatCoolSmile.
Sticking to the rules the information was on our own caches and we left after receiving a vital call of Dashing importanceBig Grin.
Thanks Muzza, I am adding this cache to my favourites listBig Grin, now all I need is some abseiling equipment[^].
TNLN, Regards Mr.Coffee and the Coffee Clan.

Found by caughtatwork at 3:31.
This cache hasn't been found since December 2004.
We were on a jaunt across the Brisbane Ranges when this one popped up on the radar screen and we were away (J, G and I that is).
We took the back roads in (without a mapping GPSr, I think we took nearly every wrong turn) and came across the Highway to ...
Was a bizzare road and I am certain I don't undertstand the designation of highway. Unless they mean a way that is high about sea level ?!?
Ahyways, one way was 4WD only so we turned the other way and came across the parking area. A nice walk down the cche location and we saw half a dozen ropes over the side and some abseilers hanging down the cliff face. Not my cup of coffee (you'll get the pun in a minute).
Finding the cache I held on to G's hand (4 years old) lest she plunge over the edge and we did our swaps.
We headed back up the hill to the car. On the way we crossed paths with 4 muggles ... hangon, with two GPSr's. Thinking for a moment I asked if they were 'looking for something'. Turns out that this was Mr. Coffee and the Coffee Clan.
So after 3 months of no finds, this caches gets two hits in about 5 minutes.
We waited at the top until they returned and had a good chat about why they were here so far from home. Ahhhhhhhhhh!
Thanks muzza. Not only an interesting highway, a hard drive, a very nice walk, a dangerous cliff, but also the opportunity to meet a group of cachers. What else could you want from a cache.

Found by Ray and Maya at 3:41PM on the 31st of December, on our way to check out our cache Eagles Soar#2, which has again been reported missing. Thank goodness we could drive to the ridge and walk the track, as it is a very hot day for caching. All is quiet here today, there are no climbers in this heat. We found the co-ords a bit out, as predicted. Our figures are 37° 50.764S 144° 16.202E. We took the silver Reindeer sprinkles and left two bells. Thanks from The Nomads.

An easy find (just so long as you don't run down the hill).

We found this one after a short search following the hint (decoded in advance after reading the cache instructions). In the end we didn't really need it, our GPS put the GZ around 7 metres away - quite acceptable we feel.

TNLN SL

Too overcast today for photos, so we'll be back another day.

After doing the fireworks display for Dennis Walters Carols and staying the night in Geelong Vombatus and ourselves decided to take the leisurely way home and pick up a few caches. Our second Muzza cache for the day and another beauty it was. The area was full of people throwing themselves off a very high place while Brett, the youngest member of the Vombatus team made it three in a row.

Thanks Muzza, how do you manage to find all these great hidden away places?

When we first came aound the corner I thought it was Lovers Leap" but then I saw the ropes.

This has to be the best highway ever!

Thanks muzza, for showing me a beatiful spot I would never have found on my own.

I have to admit, the legs were a little shaky when I was looking over the edge Surprised - I wouldn't recomend anyone brings the littlies.

Combined this cache with a 12km hike through Anakie Gorge - great day, but I'm more than a little tired now [|)]

Took whisling keyring. Left fire extinguisher & red race car.

Thanks again muzza

What a spot! - definitely not one for a midnight expedition (unless you send your friends first!)
Well done Muzza for getting EuDes, Alsume, Steph & I along a truly unique highway to a place that we probably would never have seen otherwise.
TNLN.

A triple caching excursion with Alsume and SSMC4 after AWG walk 35 nabbed this one reasonably quickly (albeit using the hint Red Face) at 17:30. I don't know how you find these spots Muzza, they are simply fantastic.

TNLN. We even signed the log book in the most populated end of it although I think it might actually be the back Wink.

Thanks for a real beauty Muzza.

Found with EuDes and SSMC4 & Steph at 5:30pm after bushwalking in Anakie Gorge. An amazing location.

took Porsche
left glitter stars

Thanks to muzza for taking us to this spot.

Great Location and what a view. We found our GPSr was behaving well and the Lady had this one in hand fairly quickly.

Took Clasp and Candle (to make some room)
Left Basketball Card and Goosebumps Disc

Many Thanks to Muzza

With big apologies to muzza for taking so long to go back and place a decent swap, I finally got around to it this afternoon.

J and I, bored as ... well as bored as you can be on a wet sunday afternoon after doing all the housework decided to get the dogs out of the house for some great wet weather walking. Where better than this location.

Finally dropped off a whistling key ring and had a good time looking around this location and further down the road.

Located @ 1755 Hrs with Private Ryan.
Decided to start a late afternoon's caching with this one.
Great highway! Followed the dust of a fellow traveller, but never saw them. Drove past the turn-off to the carpark, so was forced to drop a U-turn at the next available spot. (I didn't realise there was an entrance and an exit to the carpark!)Red Face
GPSr was wandering a little bit, but found it (without going too far!!!)
Took: Superball
Left: Alien Parachutist to comtemplate the drop!

Nice one Muzza!

07-Aug-04
Found 17:50, as the sun set slowly into the west, a great time of day to be at this location. One that we were previously unaware of, but which we are sure we will return to in the summer months for a spot of climbing Smile

Thanks Muzza for bringing us to this hither to unknown spot, took key finder key tag and left "Mighty Bean".

24-Jan-04
Hadn't realised what sort of highway this was until I arrived! Nervously I steered the GeoBarina up the track and was thankful to reach the parking area. Fantastic view from the lookout site - I started searching about 1100 and after about twenty minutes I resorted to decrypting the clue. This led me back to some areas I'd already searched with no success. My "pointed stick" search method (ie poking a stick into holes) didn't bring me success.

The GPS gods seemed to be smiling, I was 3m away from a place that perfectly matched the description, but there was nothing there. Surely the cache wouldn't vanish after only 2 finds? With dismay, I took a couple of pictures to mail to muzza and returned to my car. Back at the carpark there was phone coverage, so a call to maccamob revealed I was looking at the right place after all, but needed more than a stick to remove it. Returned back to the spot and yes, it was exactly where the GPS said... Red Face!

Took a small padlock and key, left a whisting keyring - maybe the next finders will be able to use sound to help find the cache?! Left at 1215... not the best start to my planned day of caching Smile Thanks Muzza - very devious!

Found by Mary & David at 1130. Two weeks since our last find so we were almost at the withdrawal stage. Lovely rain made the track gleam with colour - moss, lichen, rocks, fallen leaves, vegetation and tree bark were all enhanced. Unfortunately, so was the slipperiness of the track, but we made it to GZ without incident. Looks like a spot for lemmings to go over the edge. Probably also a good spot for wildflowers at the right time of year. M was a bit wary at GZ clutching her umbrella like Mary Poppins. Missed the cache on the first search, but soon returned for a closer and successful examination. Coords seemed ok at 7m - 8m. Took Winnie the Pooh, left silver Porsche. This is certainly the strangest highway we have travelled. We decided to follow it to the other end and were rewarded with some great scenery. Thanks for showing the area to us Muzza. Sorry, though, we didn't bring a stash note with us either.

Found this one with trex after a very hot search. I wish I had searched a bit more indepth the first time i looked. I had no gps on this hunt but thought i'd give it a go. As we walked to GZ I was keeping a keen eye out and searching for possible locations. What a view near GZ. Enjoyed a bit of a rest and then searched for the cache. Up and down. around and under. No luck...Back to the car and another quick look at the topo map. Back down to GZ. I got the idea that we had been here too long when trex started rock climbing looking for shade. He didnt want water just shade. I thought i'd ring the muzza hotline for a tip. He told me through dropping in and out phone of the general location....sounded very familiar. I went back to the first place I had looked at after i reached GZ and sure enough, after looking more indepth I found it.

Great little spot. A word of warning. The nearby highway is very busy. Watch out for the traffic.

Left one of trex's calling cards for muzza, took a whistle. I'll head back up this way and place something else in soon as my swaps where too big. Thanks for a great little spot muzza. I also found some sort of rock climbing gear nearby....like a sash. Any ideas???

(I didnt have access to a printer so a stash note is still needed)

I didn't have a Stashnote with me at the time of placement, so could the first finder please take one with you? Thanks.
