This cache has gone it won't be replaced. Thanks to all that visited.

02-Jan-09
Was passing by here today, and recalled the number of DNF's, so had a look myself. Nothing that I could see, despite a fair amount of crawling, peering and rummaging... It's not looking positive for this cache.

16-Dec-08
Searched for about 10 minutes without success, I have not had much luck with kiwideb's caches lately

27-Oct-08
Any chance of someone confirming this one is still there. I had a good look around and came up empty handed.

06-May-08
looked for a while, but had no luck. Forgot to log this on the day so doing it now.

25-Mar-08
Had no luck with this one. Searched far and wide, high and low (very low) and came up very empty. Maybe on my next trip to Melbourne...

22-Feb-08
Not sure I agree with the title on this one -- the traffic noise would bother my rest!

Found on my second look: the first time my GPSr wanted to have me looking in the reeds, and I wasn't up for that what with the possibility of snakes.

Today I looked in the more logical location and found the cache. TNLNSL

02-Dec-07
Found on my weekend trek around the suburbs. An easy walk and the find was not too hard considering the previous logs. There were only a few muggles around so I TNLNSL and off again to walk on water, or at least where water used to be.
Thanks kiwideb,
Roostaman.

17-Nov-07
Found at 0600. A nice easy find in one of the usual locations for a cache. Great area to walk around.

T - California GC.

TFTC.

15-Oct-07
One of the caches done today to stop tomtom telling me there's a cache nearby as I fly down the freeway!!!

After a look at some spots, I read some logs, then changed sides of where I was looking and had the cache within a few seconds!

Took the second pencil and put it into the Koonung Trail Revamped cache nearby.

Left Dak's California Micro Geocoin.

The cache contents were a bit damp, and so I removed some of it's contents (including an out of date Qantas lounge guest pass) that were holding water in the cache. It should stay a bit dryer now.

Only about 8 pages left in the log book.

03-Oct-07
We rummaged around for about 40min, but to no avail. In the reeds, under the bridge, around the trees, but nothing. We'll be back as soon as we get confirmation that it is still there.

Thanks for the hunt! Smile

15-Sep-07
The second cache of the day just didn't make itself known. Rummaged around, and examined what appeared to be the obvious hiding point, but to no avail... Might return for more comprehensive search sometime, but might need confirmation that it's still there!

27-Aug-07
Logbook full, TNLN. Fun find.

Found with the Jersey Royals - Sorry for the delay in logging.

TNLN SL

05-Aug-07
Found on a morning bike ride with the geokids and Doncaster Wanderers. Cache was very damp and the log book full. A lovely spot for a break and rest. Thanks for setting this one.

TNLN TFTC Smile

Count #0202 found at 1110hrs.

Took me 15mins to find this one, and that was with the help of my Monoculars.

27-May-07
Found today by Liverpoolred, in the company of The Swaggies and the Pharoahs. Red2 made the quick find.
Collected some more geocoins, and then we said goodbye to the pharoahs and moved on.
TFTC kiwideb.

27-May-07
Found on the second? attempt at this cache, I wonder how we missed it the first time! Left Blues Fishy TB and John Blair Honda keyring and took blue porpoise. Thanks for the cache Kiwideb!

27-May-07
Again a quick find, with the extra eyes watching (thanks Swaggies and LiverpoolReds). Once again the cache was pretty small, so it's a TNLN sort of day! Wonderful to be out and no need to worry about getting your feet wet these days thanks to the drought. TFTC guys!

20-May-07
Found this one pretty quickly once the GPS settled in. Liked the area, pity about the lack of water.

Took: keyring, some tattoos
Left: great cat, stickers, dolphin

12-May-07
2nd cache in this park. The pond is not much of a pond at the moment. As we walking back from the cache had a try on the various gym equipment in this park. In: TOA Tattoos Out: TB Unite for Diabetes. TFTC

05-May-07
Ran out of time. Ferreting in reeds for 15 minutes.

08-Apr-07
I have been driving past this and a few others for way too long now but I've finally gotten around to it. The trouble is I generally cache with Robmc and as he's already done these ones we head for others that he or we haven't done.
I came toaday with Geojen who just wanted to get out of the house for a while and it was great. A very nice spot which would only be better with a bit of water in the little lake.
Left a TB here and took a keyring.
Many Thanks.

03-Apr-07
Ran out of time while hunting this one, I think we were in the right spot, but being complete noobs we were bamboozled. We'll be back.

25-Feb-07
After a quick jaunt across the eastern freeway using the bridge, this cache was soon in hand. A nice ending to a great afternoon's caching. Thanks kiwideb!

17-Feb-07
This was the furthest west we needed to go for the morning. Arriving at GZ around 9:50am, it took us a few minutes to ferret out the location as the GPSr seemed to put us 4-5 metres out. A nice spot for a banana and a Mars bar. TNLN. The logbook is getting rather full and probably needs replacing very soon, but found a spot to sign (not chronologically consistent).

12-Feb-07
12:15 Found 200702121215 Smile. My prior attempt on this cache unsuccessful, but today, both Max and I were surprised at how easily it was discovered Smile The lack of water at GZ is a sad indicator of the drought Sad

OUT: Madagascar Wrist band
IN: $100 key ring

Cheers KiwiDeb

Cool Thanks

Took Crocs rule
Left Madgascar wrist band

27-Jan-07
Found this on my Saturday walk.
Nice location. Thanks

19-Jan-07
A great restful place so close to the freeway.

Easy find, with a lot of muggles to avoid however

Found by Facitman at 15:39
I made it a lot harder than it should have been, I messed up the co-ordinates in the GPSr (a feature I hadn't realised) but checked them after searching the wrong GZ for some time!! Found at correct GZ quite quickly Smile
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks Kiwideb, a pretty park even without the water in the lake

26-Dec-06
The final of three finds for the day by reluctant spouse and myself. RS was even more reluctant today as he had to temporarily abandon his view from the couch of the Boxing Day Test. When he noticed a woman seated nearby at GZ he was ready to give up and head home, but I stood firm and he soon had the cache in hand. Well, I wasn't going to stick my hand in there!

Thanks kiwideb!

26-Dec-06
Finally got the monkey off my back, on FOURTH visit. The whole Pickupfamily visited, and of course located the cache very quickly at 1850hrs. Luckily it was Pickupfamily Dad who found it, predictably in a spot I'm sure I looked every previous time, and of course an obvious spot. TFTC Kiwideb. TNLN. (An easy find, really.) This has cleared a 5km radius from home, at last!

19-Nov-06
Pickupfamily Dad alone failed to find this one today, on what was only a partially successful sortie to clean up this patch along the Freeway this evening. This cache has had many combinations of the Pickupfamily in attendance on three different occasions over many months and has eluded us again. I hope you are a sadist Kiwideb and getting satisfaction out of our frustrations! Not giving up yet though...

29-Oct-06
This one took me a while. I guess I was expecing something a bit bigger. Logical spot though. Nice day in the park but very few muggles around to distract me. thanks kiwideb

18-Oct-06
I was one the way to visit a customer and was all dressed up. It was therefore of great concern when the GPS told me that it was in the mud about 3/4 of the way along the bridge.
That didn't seem right so I looked at the end and didn't spot it, so had to carefully tip-toe out to the semi-hard mud to check it out. If anyone sprung me in my best suit trousers with a tie, I was working on my "council-engineer-checking-out-the-integrity-of-the-bridge-story".

Anyway I rechecked where I first looked and there it was. Didn't get that much dirt on me.
TNLN. Great spot. Thanks.

13-Oct-06
Found @ 9:35pm Must visit this spot during the day, looks like a nice place. Found in a couple of minutes searching. Log book getting full. TNLNSL TFTC

14-Jul-06
Found @16:40. Used to ride through this park on the way to work in the city. GPS took me straight to the spot but the parks busy at this time of day. Took about 20 min to retrieve and replace due to mugglesand the pets.
Took Frog, Left Tazo Slammer, SL
Thanks kiwideb

16:45 I cant tell you how many times I attempted this one - a simple bridge cache can become hard if you have your eyes closed ! Thanks Kikideb In: Electrical safety plug Out: Play Do truck cutting shape.

This was a second attempt at finding this one, found it after a few minutes of searching

took nothing left dinosaur signed log

08-May-06
Found at 3:45pm. Accompanied by the GeoMrs as navigator and scribe.
8th find out of 9 for the day on Birthday Dash for Cache expedition. What else would a GeoCacher do on his birthday? After Koonung Trail Revamped this one was a logical choice to look for next. Getting to the location was no problem, however finding it proved a bit tricky
In: truck cookie cutter, Out: dice, Signed Log.
Thanx kiwideb....Big Grin

06-May-06
Dad and daughter couldn't find anything although we thought we looked in all the likely places. Will have to come back with Mum another time. Maybe when the ground is not so wet.

30-Apr-06
When I first looked for this I was very new. Having a bit more experience, plus having found Koonung Trail Revamped, I was able to find it within a few minutes. Of course it was in a logical spot! TNLNSL Thanks Deb

19-Mar-06
Ventured to the restful park today at 11.00 am with bikeriders galore.Despite a couple letting their dogs have a splash in the ponds nearby was able to grab the goods quickly.TNLN and thanks to kiwideb for the cache.

27-Feb-06
Spent some time here dodging regular muggles, including school-type muggles doing a well-organised clean-up, and looking everywhere I could think several times with no luck. Will monitor. A restful place alright, although earmuffs would help!

02-Jan-06
Found by head chef, Heaps of Muggles with dogs swimming.
nice easy find.
TNLN

Thanx kiwideb for the cache

25-Dec-05

Had a good look around, low muggle factor.

Thanks

Did Not Find on 04/12/05 at 1130 AEDT. Accompanied by Team Grey Squirrel, and having found quite a few Kiwideb caches in locations similar to this, I thought this one would be a snack. Alas, it was not to be Sad

The muggle factor was relatively low providing us with the opportunity to conduct an extennsive search in all the likely spots, but despite that, no cache was revealed Sad

27-Nov-05
Second Last of the Day and muggle about everywhere, I knew where it was but it took a little time to get to it, a good Cache

05-Nov-05
Found early on this very hot day. Many jovial dogs enjoying their walkies.

Found by our clan on a bicycle outing. A great cycling destination.

21-Sep-05
My co-ordinates were telling me I had to get my feet wet and I'm not that dedicated yet! Many muggles about today, just had to pass through.

3.00pm
Found by Roma and Max.
This was definitely more restful than it's neighbour, although the constant hum could be heard just over the rise.
Took a Small Green Car and left a Mondo Figurine.
Thanks Kiwideb,
from Romax.

13-Aug-05
Found at 2.55PM

A wonderful area for the cache. There wqere some off creepy crwaleys all over the structure near GZ, they were furry and looked like caterpillars. But I stayed well clear. There was a man fishin nearby, but when he started throwning his rod in a different location I went in and found the cache straight away. Thanks for the cache from M.B

TNLNSL.

06-Aug-05
After arriving at a sutiable parking spot, it was myself and Luke who raced on ahead while Shelby walked with Michael and his broken ankle.
At the GZ Luke went one way and I another, and I was happy to have picked the right spot.
Many thanks Kiwideb for bringing us to a great spot to have an afternoon coffee break.
TNLN.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the "I need more resting places these days" Clan.

01-Aug-05
Tis certainly a restful place. There were quite a few walkers about with their Geofriendly pooches, no wonder the grass grows so well. Found the cache nice and easy like. This was my 9th cache for the day and time to get back home. TNLN

28-Jul-05
Found @ 1515. Lovely park, I love cycling around the paths like these. I found it about 30 seconds after arriving, wow!!

Left: Train Ticket.
Thanks kiwideb!!

25-Jun-05
Our second try for one of yours today with the same result. Even with 4 pairs of eyes we did not succeed.

07-Jun-05
Found by Bob at 10:45 on way to work.

A warm, sunny morning and, having just done Koonung Revamped, I couldn't head off to work without walking a bit further and trying for this one.

I managed to find it pretty easily, but not before a dog had grabbed my scarf from where I had left it (stuffed into my helmet - I ride a motor bike) and dragged it into the pond. I would have been able to see the funny side, but the owner made little attempt to control his dog and did not even apologize for it's behaviour Sad.

TNLN

Thanks Kiwideb

05-Jun-05
A short walk from our previous find brought us straight to this one in a pleasant but very noisy area.
Took dice and left green flat frog. Thanks kiwideb.

05-Jun-05
Lovely restfull area it is. Thanks kiwideb. TNLN.

04-Jun-05
We were in the area and so found this restful place. Thanks kiwideb.
Took coins.
Left dice.

25-May-05
Nice ponds (good walk between the caches too). Good spot for lunch. While pondering why I did not bring any, two dogs raced up and jumped into the water, then raced upon their way. I must investigate where the bike path starts and finishes and bring the deadly treadly next time.
Took: Horse, Left: Car.
Thanks again, Robmc.

Going past on our way in to town, we thought that it was about time that we did this cache.
A very pleasant stroll to Gz and the cache was soon in hand

03-Jan-05
Was passing thru Melbourne on the way home to Canberra, and decided to see if I could find one or two caches on the way. Yes, this is a restful place, even though it is not as I expected it to be! TNLN.

Thanks again kiwideb.

03-Jan-05
Found by sbalogh53 at 17:10 on 3/1/2005.
Found it in a fairly obvious spot.
Took: Canadian Badge
Put: Elephant Keyring
Also took another floater from under the structure which a local canine inhabitant had apparently lost. My own canine was very appreciative of the tough rubber chewing ball I bought home from the park. Smile
PS. The floater from the precious log was hanging from a tree next to the bike path.

22-Dec-04
Claire and I found this one at 19:15. There were a few suspicious looks from a muggle as we tried to replace it, so we had to do the whole photo shoot thing. Took one of the sharpeners, left a Massett pin.
Found an interesting floater near the cache, just hope the wearer was not in there aswell.
Thanx Kiwideb

15-Dec-04
Found quickly on an evening of cache hunting.

The cache was a little further north than expected.

12-Dec-04
Found with friends Jenny, Sumith, Nicholas & Benjamin, who live nearby. There was also quite a bit of activity near the GZ as a unique floating "weed muncher" machine was clearing the reeds. None too restful at the time!

Took: Lizard, dinosaur, dolls comb, 10c
Left: Balloon, eraser, fairy sticker, US dime.
Thanks kiwideb.

15-Nov-04
Our 4th cache find for the day. The gps had us about 11 metres away, in water, with an EPE of only 4. We thought maybe the water level had climbed dramatically with the preparations for the ark which were just about warranted after this past couple of weeks rain! I'm not sure what was going on here, but we did manage to find the cache after about 7-8 minutes. The kids were a bit frustrated at such a small cache (I heard "Oh Darn!-is this a micro"Sad) but all in all, a lovely spot for a rest if cyling or walking, & pleasant surroundings. P.S. One of the most majestic looking Masked Morehens I have ever seen.
TNLN
Thanks Kiwideb

13-Oct-04
Found at 09:40hrs
Nice park along the freeway, cache was safe and sound
TNLN Thanks Kiwideb...

30-Sep-04
On my way home after Koonung, I couldn't resist this one as it was so close. I thought I knew where it was when I got to GZ so I perservered and came up with the goods.
Great area - thanks kiwideb

18-Sep-04
Found by 4 Men and a Lady at 1245 on 18 September after 2 attempts.

The GPS was not quite spot on but after some hints from some rather over zealous previous logs found GZ

Lovely spot and indeed quite restful

Left Qantas Club Guest Pass
Took Donkey

Many thanks to Kiwi Deb

Found at 11:15am. Ahhhh... there's nothing more restful than finding a cache in the first place you look. Another nice spot in this series.

Thanks Kiwideb from D,H & A B-A.

Took a finger puppet. Left a dinosaur.

11-Jul-04
Walking down the path from Koonung Trail Revistited, we came across this cache location.
J was the brave one who venetured to seek the cache location and soon enough we had it in hand.
We took a Stamp, a Bracelet and a NZ Coin.
We left a Finger Freak, a Stretchy Frog and a Goat (well, not a real one, just plastic).
Getting a break between muggles to replace the cache was a struggle but we got it back in the end.
Thanks for a cool place kiwideb (we stopped and watched the ducks for a while too).

22-May-04
Found this one with no trouble at all. I started looking on the right side of the hiding spot, it was on the left in the exact opposite spot. No problem.Big Grin
Great spot to hide it. And what a terrific day to go 'hunting' for caches. One more to add to my tally.

IN: Reminder stamp

Found it after being on the wrong side of Freeway to begin with, A little hard to cross on foot!! Well Hidden and had spiders on it which made it interesting. Too small to leave anything so did not take.

02-May-04
Found with my co-members of Uneven Distribution.

Previous writers are correct in that, the place is obvious, but not readily apparant.

Very well hidden, we missed it the first time we made a sweep of the area.

14-Mar-04 15:30hours (#45)
Left the family at the nearby playground, and went a huntin'.
My EPE was not very good so I wandered for a while, and there it was in "the" obvious spot (pity it took so long to become obvious Razz) Thanks to Kiwi Deb for introducing us to a new bike path, with BBQ's in the playgrounds too!

T: Donkey
L: Pencil sharpener, Chinese Coin

08-Mar-04
Second find for the day with sister's kids in tow. (getting them about and about for a while).

Took a little whle to find, but was worth it in the end

08-Mar-04
Found at midday on our monday off Smile Found in the very first place we looked (could it be we have found way too many Kiwideb caches??? Nah..) Found it easily as it was half poking out of its hiding spot. No exchange made. Hopefully tucked it back in a little better. Thanks Kiwideb.

23-Feb-04
This the 3rd of 6 kiwideb caches for the afternoon. When I arrived at the GZ, I thought I knew where the cache would be, but it wasn't there. Sad I looked at other, less obvious places, but it wasn't there either. So, it was back to the first guess--a closer look revealed the cache.

I've walked other parts of this trail, but thanks to kiwideb and geocaching, I've now seen another good chunk of it.

IN: Sewing kit
OUT: Telstra Olympics pin

22-Feb-04
Tried this one first with no luck, then headed over to Koonung Trail Revamped for some relief. On our return we had success, but only after falling in the mud and getting covered in cobwebs. Took nothing left nothing. Thanks kiwideb.

PS This cache had a pencil in it so we could fill in the log!

12-Feb-04
Found at 2.00pm.
A restful place??? Our version of the term must differ greatly.
Cache found easily with few passers by.
No exchange made

We didn't get around to finding this cache in its previous incarnation so were determined to find it this time. This park is much nicer than we remember and it is "off lead" so the dogs were happy too. The cache was found after a short search at 6:50pm. The location is very pretty but it is NOT peaceful! The freeway had lots of loud Sunday traffic. Took a glow-in-the-dark star and left a KFC golf-tee (to go with your KFC picnic?). Thanks Kiwideb for bringing us here - we will probably return for some dog-walks.
