Hi,

Swampgecko sent me your email as he is no logger reviewing caches.

I'm sorry, this one cannot be unarchived as it no longer meets the guidelines. It is too close to GCYGPE. It is also marked terrain 1 and does not carry a suitable for handicapped cacher attribute. Terrain 1 usuall denaotes a handicapped accessibe cache.

Recieved an email from Little Miss Muggle advising me she had found this cache. So I have asked for this cache to be made active again.

23-Dec-05
The cache has gone to heaven. I will not replace it as it is the 2nd time in 2 years that it went missing.
Many thanks to those of you who have found this cache.

21-Nov-05
Oenze and I had a go for this one next after Kiwi Trivia even though I didn't expect a lot of luck going by the previous few logs. Nevertheless we had a good look and we concur with the rest that it's missing in action.
Thanks anyway.
Suggest a maintenance visit here!!!

Tried to locate at around 12:45PM

I have searched everywhere for this cache, dug holes, used sticks, moved large stumps and logs, but still this cache didn't want to show. According to the old logs this cache hasn;t been found for a while and has had 2 DNF before me. I hope this cache is still here but I had to leave when I was spotted by a muggle about 35 minutes into my search.

A nice park annyhow. Thanks from M.B

22-Sep-05
This was a second visit for this one and again I failed to locate it. With 8 birds I had a GPS epe of 4 metres and for a lot of the time my gps said I was smack on GZ. I searched the GZ then widened my search with no luck. I added the external aerial to my GPS to see if I could improve on the 8 birds again no success.

15-Sep-05
I seem to be having limited success these days..

this one failed to jump out and say 'i am here'

I searched for a good 25 minutes before lunchtime walker activity forced me to leave.

03-Jul-05
We have been chasing this one for some time. After dealining with muggles and dogs, wrong coords and some waywood fixes luck was with us.
took doll
left clip

Found by Bob at 15:15

A nice, quick find even 'though there were quite a few muggles walking their dogs in the area today. This really is a pretty piece of parkland Smile and, judging from the number of log entries, this must be one of Melbourne's most popular caches.

TNLN

Thanks again Kiwideb

12-Jun-05
another easy find a great little park with a heap of people walking dogs

25-May-05
Had a really good look around at GZ but no luck - tried to look innocent with many muggles around walking themselves and dogs, did find a 2 litre blue icecream container? Nice park.

02-May-05
It's fun finding places you've sat or walked upon or around countless times, going and coming, coming and going, contain hidden little geocaches. Found it pretty fast, and thanks!

me? most taken in by the stepping stones across the river... aesthetic landscaping! Smile

left a refreshing wipe, & took the party pooper

16-Apr-05
Lots of muggles about today, we had to be very careful. I had a feeling where the cache was, and waited for the right moment. When the coast was clear, I got the cache and took it to the seats nearby. The log book is full, but signed in anyway. Took coin, left some simpson badges. Waited for the right moment, and replaced the cache. Thanks for leading us to yet another nice park.
Clue Demon.

Found on a Sunny Sunday afternoon by the Trewin clan and co. (Jake, Matthew and Yvonne)
Timing had to be perfect with all the walsers and bikers around.

Took: Bracelet and Hairclips
Left: 500 Indonesian Rp and mini car

05-Feb-05
Possibly the quickest cache find ever. Don't think this should be a 1.5 difficulty! Log book had lots of text but enough room on the back of pages. I removed a couple of expired vouchers and left my sig card.

27-Jan-05
Started on the wrong side of the creek but that turned out to be easily solved. Fairly quick find, really only one spot to look. Just had to wait for the dog walkers and joggers to disappear briefly to grab it. Took a 50c stamp and left a NSW SES tiepin. Cheers Kiwideb

27-Jan-05
With all the dog walkers around, I had to pick my timing well before i dived into the bushes then found it straight away. I used the very last page of the log book, I think it's pretty full Kiwideb. TNLN.

18-Jan-05
Thanks Kiwideb. Found it easily this time with the help of 3 Grand Kids.

Left a dice
took a plastic frog

cheers

Found by Facitman at 16:15.

After a Muggle free search at the nearby Through Cache I moved on to this cache hoping for a similar experience. WRONG! I had to do many circuits of this pretty spot, not an unpleasant activity, as every time I approach the GZ another Muggle appeared Sad. Finally gave in and plopped down nearby to wait out the dog walkers, power walkers etc, only to find that I was almost able to reach the cache from my inclined position Smile.
Moved off to complete exchanges and log and a surprisingly easy re-hide.

Took nothing.
Left some Hairclips.

Thanks Kiwideb for another urban park experience.

Found by sbalogh53 at 20:20 on 3/1/2005. Don't you love daylight savings? It gived those extra couple of hours per day for caching. I started after 4pm today and managed to do 7 caches! Big Grin
I searched for a while for this one and then suddenly there it was. I had gone right past it a few minutes earlier and did not even see the cache. I must be blind sometimes. Cool
There were LOTS of muggles walking past so one had to be very careful.
Took: Clip
Put: Alien

01-Jan-05
Despite number of muggles around I'm sure that no-one paid attention to me when I signed the log Big Grin

01-Jan-05
Found at 15:45 with Shimachic.

Lots of muggles around, many of them walking their four-legged friends. Don't think anybody noticed us sit down and crack open the cache.

Took : Sharpener
Left : Bracelet

23-Nov-04
Found this one at 14:20 on my 2nd attempt when there were a whole lot less muggles.

Took a little while to find.

This was our second cache for today on our way to the city to see the Ford vs Holden show.
Yet another nice park around the area. We were on the wrong side of the creek and had to get over jumping from rock to rock, after a quick search S found the cache, it good he had a stick to poke where the cache was because there was many slugs around it. Anyways a sweet easy find and S's second find too, he is being switched on today. TNLN. Thanks from M.B and S.M

13-Nov-04
On a roll after a couple of quick finds nearby, I thought I'd have a go at this one. Geko was a very good boy this time (maybe the earlier e-spanking got him into order Wink) and I walked straight up to the well-hidden cache at 18:00.

A lovely park that I actually rode through a couple of months ago on a training run for the GVBR later this month.

TNLNSL. Thanks kiwideb.

06-Nov-04
Found it this evening around 6pm. Lots of muggles around and a little one in the car so we took turns searching. Ant was looking just off the right spot but Wendy found it easily.

Great little park, I must have driven past it tens of times when I worked in the area.

Took the Funky Chicken TB. Will find it a new home tomorrow or next weekend. Left a small keyring carabiner.

Thanks for the fun cache.

04-Nov-04
Found this one after looking AT it for about 2 minutes. The funky chicken TB was very reluctant to return to the cache. Muggles everywhere doing all kinds of path work. Took so long to enter log as not having a home can prove difficult

01-Nov-04
Light drizzle, & yet still plenty of walkers. This is one of those lovely little green belts where you can enjoy riding the bike, taking a stroll, or just walking the K9Cool (They also have placed a bin here for any presents which the K9 varieties may produce for their owners).

Found easily by Chick 2 for a change, who was ecstatic about beating the older sibling. As she proceeded to select her prize, we realized we had left our swaps bag in the car. Surprised As there would have been tears, we let her take a plastic figurine, and left a $1 coin. We also managed to just squeeze in a travel bug (these small caches make it a bit more difficult). Cache back well, off for the rest of the day.
P.S. the GPS went straight to the cache
Thanks Kiwideb for a lovely park, and a gentle stroll for the littlies [8)].

27-Oct-04
After 5 minutes looking where it should have been I found the cache in full view and partly open. After all the rain today I expected the contents to be damp however this was not the case.
Took red race car, left Africa 1850 mondo.

Returned cache to where I think it should be and hid it well.

found by accident,
Waiting for some people to leave the area we wanted to search in, I looked next to my feet and there was the cache.
Dad's gps was still saying that we were a long way from where we were supposed to be!
That gps has now been replaced under warranty!
Thanks kiwideb

Found Sunday afternoon with Steph'n'Ash. Easier find than was to be expected as GPSr still read 12 metres to go but GZ was full of people! Whilst we were debating whether to wait or return later Steph found a spot less than a metre away that would make a "cool" location for a cache and promptly presented us with a cliptop box!!!Big GrinBig Grin
(Does that make it a muggle find?)
TNLN

Thanks Kiwi Deb, Nice park!

03-Oct-04
What a good hiding spot. Had to be careful as it was a nice day and there were quite a few muggles around. Unfortunately we forgot a pen (even though we were reminded to bring one!) so couldn't log the visit. Took the ball and left the frying pan toy.

Found on 13/09/04 @ 0907 AEST. This visit was my second to find this cache - last time it started raining and there were a lot of muggles about. This time I arrived at GZ, looked around and voila Cool!! I was worried that is was actually a bit too visible, so it is now slightly better concealed in its home.
TNLN
Thanks Kiwideb

Picked up a friend close by (who has chosen to be referred to as 'Gummi Venus') and we thought this cache looked like a good one to introduce her to Geocaching.
What a lovely day it was, sun was shining, dogs were prancing... us, trying not to step in dog poop.
GPS had us poking around in the wrong spot for a bit before it decided to settle down and point us in the right direction. Found cache easily at 2pm once we were on the right track.
TNLN, 'Gummi Venus' finally 'got' what Geocaching was all about and was enthused to tag along with us for the afternoon.
This is our 69th find... Wink

Thanks Kiwideb!

So much for early Tuesday morning being quiet! It was like Bourke street with all the dog owners going walkies...

Found the location easily, getting the right moment to recover and return the cache took a bit.

Another kiwdeb cache for me today.
A nice park that I fortunately found the easy way in.
A comfortable spot to complete the log was found as well. Very thoughtful of you kiwideb.
I took a carabiner and (what I found out later to be) a mood ring for J (who's into that sort of stuff).
A left behind a Mini Splash Ball, a Car and a Finger Freak.
Thanks for a nice cache hunt today.

Found on a cold and wet afternoon. Cache was a bit depleted so left a carrabiner key ring and took nothing. Looks like there may have been a muggles find. Quite a few people around walking their K9's.

David.

15-Jun-04

No, not too many bunnies seen, but plenty of second hand Pal. Took a scate board and left a toy car. Clear skies, John. Thanx Kiwideb.

Couldn't resist tracking down another cache this evening.
Feeling lucky after spending a great Mother's Day with my 'two greatest achievements'.[:X] The Dees were beating the Eagles Big Grin, so I mingled with the other visitors in this lovely park. Slipped off the track to look for the cache. My GPSR was a bit confused re. the location, but I found it ok. Had to do the exchange by the light from my mobile!
I really enjoy your caches kiwideb.

IN:Eraser
OUT:Wood duck

A lovely ride along the creek/drain. We found the children’s geology lesson very interesting, further back along the bicycle track. LOTS of people walking dogs, making retrieval and replacement a little tricky. Took plastic solider, left wood duck.

I came on Easter day and I found the new bunny cache this time. I left a mood ring and took a beetle.

10-Apr-04
Found pretty quickly once I was on the right side of the creek Red Face.

This park is very popular with the puppies. I got jumped on by a friendly dalmation while writing in the log and quite a few of his canine pals were there.

Left nothing and took nothing.

Thanks Kiwideb

10-Apr-04
Found it at 1:10pm.
This is our first cache find - Hooray!!!
Left a small malaysian coin
took the orange frog
Like the other cachers found, some dogs look pretty big when you are up to your nose in investigations
Thanks Kiwideb.

09-Apr-04
This is quite a popular park, especially if you own a dog.
Had the same problem as the GeoQuacks and were attacked by two over friendly dogs as we were filling out the logbook.
Left orange frog
Took horse
Thanks Kiwideb

30-Mar-04
When we were last in this park (geocaching) there were heaps of dogs and their owners and this time when I visited it was no different. I managed to find the cache in between walkers, but a wayward pooch came over for a visit while I was filling in the logbook. Tried to fit in Blotts TB but couldn't so TNLN. Thanks Kiwideb.

23-Mar-04
I think we came across the AGM of the off road baby buggies association who had set up camp behind the cache. Must have been about 20 mums and bubs with the buggies forming a protective circle.

16-Mar-04
Found it at 8.15pm when it was getting quite dark. We were about to give up to come back during daylight, when Cat suddenly cried out those joyfull words - "Found it!"

We now have a new item in our cache bag - a small, but powerfull torch.

A beautiful day for going to the RSPCA open day so team Da Bugs decided to do some geocaching as well. A nice park which goes quite a long way and the geodogs Bonnie & Zena loved it even if they weren't really looking for the cache.
We found the cache without any problems and took the Linux badge and keyring and left a parachute man, super glue & a plastic beetle.
Thanks Kiwideb, we hope to lots more of your caches in the future.
Regards Andrew, "Da Big Bug"

22-Feb-04
Found at 11:30am. A quick find in the second place we looked. This is a very nice, well maintained park. It's quite long and meandering and worth the visit. H,K & A decided to walk through to "Kiwi Trivia" and "Wattle Seed Pod" with the GPS while the rest of us moved the car a little closer.

Took Toy Car & left Toy Horse.

Thanks again Kiwideb from D,H,S,K,H & A B-A

15-Feb-04
Actually located this cache yesterday but it was soooo hot we couldn't stand another minute in the heat so we left it untouched. Came back today at 8:40pm to examine the cache contents and fill in the log in the dark. Took a plastic pig face (to provide some space) and left a plastic dinosaur. There were lots of dog walkers around because it was nice and cool so we had to be quick in retrieving and replacing the cache. Thanks Kiwideb for putting a new cache in this great park.

12-Feb-04
Found at 3.30pm
With few passers by cache found quickly

Found after a short search. Another park that we never knew existed. There must be hundreds of these in Melbourne. Nothing exchanged. Greg and Bev

26-Jan-04
Another nice park to wander through, although a bit noisy, thanks to the group of people celebrating Australia Day with the aid of several eskies full of beer. No swaps.

26-Jan-04
Spotted team kittens leaving the area after eyeing them off wandering around the wattle park as we were finishing off kiwi trivia. This one took us a few minutes to find and we took the smiley lanyard and left beaded keyring.
thanks kiwideb.

26-Jan-04
Decided to make my very first GeoCache a memorable one and walked the distance to and from home to the closest cache, a round trip of just over 10km. Today is Australia Day and the cache was quite close to a crowd of revellers who were pretty loud by the time I got there (1830). This location was very popular today, I was the third visitor for the day. Managed to locate the cache and do a swap without attracting any attention from either the dog walkers or the drunks.

Took Christmas Dwarf Ornament and left Pigs Head.

A very entertaining exercise, I think I will try a few more of these Wink

21-Jan-04
We found it after not to much trouble despite it being about 2:30am. No chance or onlookers at that hour :p

Found 16:50, a nice easy find to finish a productive afternoon's caching off.

Took banana and left micro car, thanks KiwiDeb.

09-Jan-04
This is my 60th cache. After spending around two hours looking for "The Easter Bunny 2003" in this park (and finding that it had gone missing) I was very keen to log this new incarnation.

My GPSr couldn't make up its mind about the proper location of the cache. I searched in four distinct areas in the general vicinity until it finally pointed me back to the area I started at. The cache was located in one of the places I searched first, but somehow I missed it. This park has obviously got it in for me. Wink

IN: Banana
OUT: Australian Key Ring (will drop it off in California in the next two weeks)

06-Jan-04
Found in the second place I looked. No swaps made.

03-Jan-04
Found at 9:35am with Muzza. In an unbelievable turn of events this caches took us a few minutes to find. I eventually found it as Kiwideb was on the phone to Muzza, regarding Quasar’s cache, while being licked by passer by dogs.
Swapped glitter glue for a koala keyring. Thanks Kiwideb for the revitalised cache.

03-Jan-04
Found this one with Alan-san. We missed the obvious and took a lot longer than necessary. When Kiwideb rang, Alan-san said he hoped it was Kiwideb. While I was talking about 'Mullum Trail Bike', Alan-san found it.

I took a butterfly hair clip and left a Christmas ornament. Thanks for the cache, Kiwideb.

02-Jan-04
Found by Mary & David at 1635. Another great place to revisit one day. Lots of people about enjoying the afternoon. Took rhino, left smiley-face lanyard. Thanks for a great afternoon, Kiwideb.
