Having had a look it definitely isn't home anymore. With Granites 2 nearby now I will retire it, don't think the spot needs 2 so close together.

Yep, it appears this one has vanished. 20 mins and no find. Add up the previous no finds and I’m 99.9% sure she is not there. Should be archived but it is still a lovely spot. Go here anyway and stretch your legs.
Clear skies, TeamAstro.

Well, I will believe it appears to not be there anymore. I won't archive it as I am planning a run down there in the next few weeks to have a look and replace it. Maybe under a different bush, perhaps that one is too popular among muggles for a toilet break or something [B)]

We were heading north up the highway and this cache was so close we decided to have a look too. Given the other 'no finds', we weren't confident. We also still had a long drive ahead of us so didn't spend as much time searching as we might have otherwise. Needless to say we came up empty-handed. Either it has gone AWOL, or L&B did an excellent job of re-hiding it. Wink Thanks for highlighting this spot though, richary, it was quite an interesting diversion off the highway.

Hmmm, hard to tell if the photos are the same bush, they all look pretty similar. The hole in the bush one doesn't look the same as the one I took when I placed it, but bushes change over time. Doubt if I will get a chance to go down there for at least 2 weeks, but if it doesn't get found soon another excuse for a beach drive I guess Wink

Well we found the exact spot easily enough, including a big depression in the bush. Lots of rubbish around but alas no cache.

Sorry to see that others haven't been able to find it either.

Hmmm! A good half hour searching GZ yield nix, nought, nothing! Sad 'A large camo lunchbox shouldn't be that hard to find' I kept telling myself. Saw a couple of locations where the impression of a cache might have been. Not a good start to a weekend of geocaching! [xx(]

Think we created a trench going round and round and round the bushes, but no luck in the end. What a frustrating one because it looked like it would be quite an easy one to find. Searched around at least a 10 metre radius of coords but no luck.

Just read R4R's log and realised I hadn't logged my non find at Easter. Took a couple of piccys of a very likely spot.

Nice easy find and we enjoyed the walk on the beach afterwards. Took cutlery and left colouring pencils. We have read the logs after ours and certainly left the cache well concealed - there were some campers and caravanners around but we were out of their sight.

Found by Barry Beryl John and Jill at 10.50 AM
Had to wait for the tourists to leave 10 cars have come and gone at the moment, we took the kite and left a three piece camping cutlery set.
Thanks Richary

Found this one on a cool, windy afternoon. What a great spot. Enjoyed the wind in our face and then went on the hunt after some of the tourists had departed. Felt a little strange about being where we were, but the find was quick & easy. Could not believe we were the first to find this cache not having read the logs

Took TB Mistr Turtle to help him find another site as nice as this one

Thanks Richary

Damn!!!

We actually stopped at this spot today and some of our group took photos of the granites while the others watched the kite surfer take off! If only we had have known that the spot had been targetted by geocachers. Now we have another excuse to go back again.

with daughter mel a. knee we drove down from salt creek. didnt have any luck after a quick look as we were driving to melb for the tassie ferry but we found a dozen fish floats [including a glass one] and some nice shells on the beach.

Seeing as I was here when you placed it I guess I have to drive back to officially log it do IBig Grin?

Good drive so might do it again one day anyhow!
Cheers!

Left TB Mistr Turtle who likes beaches, this isn't a bad one.
