The problem is the spiders keep finding the cache.[:(!]
I'll have to find another spot nearby and chain it up.

i wish i knew this was archived as its a great cache, i could have checked it was there when i drove past on tuesday
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Found ground zero OK but no cache
binnoculars have been removed for repair

Then retired muggles rolled up with binoculars.
So I gave up.

Called in and stretched the legs on the way home from Robe. No spiders or pelicans, just one jack (he was a bit hungry and crabby too). Took nothing left, pencil sharpener and butterfly sticker (it was actually meant to be left in a cache at Beachport but I discovered it still in my pocket that night....oops)
Found 1530. Easy find after a short walk from the carpark, lots of spiders at GZ. TNLNSL, couldn't see any TB in the Cache ? somebody hasn't logged a find). TFTC.
after the drive from K I heading onto the beach nearby grabbed this one. nice views but struggled to see the pelicans. no spiders on track but not far from gz plenty.
took nothing but left a pen as cache had none.

When we arrived at the car park we were the only ones there, so off we went up the track accompanied by one thousand flies. We soon ran into a really huge spider web across the track so Snr H got to it with his foot,(as there was no other part of his body going near a spider!) and we were off again. We hadn't taken 3 steps when there was another spider web bigger than the first. It was soon realized a decent sized stick was needed so after a quick scout around one was found and 2400 spiders now need to make a new home!
Worst thing about this cache is that 30 seconds after we made the viewing area a busload of tourists turned up! A few more minutes and they could have been the track clearers . We hadnt had time to find the cache so had to wait til they had all gone b4 we could do our searching.
A quick find in the end.
TNLN
Thanks

A short stroll from the car, with replacement cache in hand. Nice and cool today, pity about all the spiders webs around though.
New cache is in place, ready for the next entrepid cacher to take in the view

Unable to locate the cache for Skippy so Setsujoku and I replaced the cache with one that he preparred earlier for us to hide. Had a good chance to look for the missing cache but could not find it.
Thanks Skippy for a break in the day.
TN Left a new cache.

I've heard that ducks have run off with caches but not sure if the spiders or pelicans had anything to do with the disappearance of this cache. will have to take a drive to the south east shortly and see for myself.
Bugga I was only down that way 2 weeks ago too.

Three of us looking high and low in the rain. Couldn't find it. Great spot if sunny though.
Could not find this one. Was rushing to GZ to beat a muggle who was behind me, but she didn't turn up anyway. Had a good search on hands and knees but to no avail. Perhaps you could enlighten me on this one thanks.
A nice easy find on a beautiful still, clear night. Water was like glass and reflections spectacular.
Took nothing, Dropped 'Kayaker' TB in here to enjoy the Coorong area for a while. Cheers.

Nice Walk out to the point. Didn't encounter any of the Misguided Cachers Team Wibble thought might have gotten trapped in the spiders webs!~! Or Muggles or Pelicans. All quiet out there. Found quiet easily.
Took - Brother Bear
Left - Wolf

Nice walk to and from this cache. Easy find and nice little container. Took a car and left a bear. Cheers.
Quick find. Interesting walk in. Decided to get at this quickly before rain came and more importantly finding refuge for the night. What bushwhacking!! GPS was off somewhat but clue helped to determine cache site. Wonderful walk back along the lagoon shore. TNLN

Wow, absolutely amazed at those spider webs (and all the gremlin looking spiders!) Wonder what they eat - must be something plentiful to support them all (perhaps misguided cachers). Found without too much trouble, took nothing and left some plastic bugs. Few birds about today, it was VERY windy.
Found it!
More when we are back in Germany.

Thanks for the cache.

The 10 minute track was an amazing sight today. Million and trillions of small spiders covered every bush.
Still they must have been full as there was a gazillion flies. The cache was quickly ours and swapped before the next wave of rubber neckers arrived.
And we took the less amazing 5 minute stroll back across the beach.

Incredible to see a vast network of spider webs, spread across the bush like a giant hair net. We were attempting to search for the cache when a large (80 cm) tiger snake (?)crossed our path into where GZ was pointing, so we abandoned and decided to visit again in the future!
Nice walk from the carpark, then took the quicker walk back along the beach. Lots of pelicans on the island and a few flocks around. Fairly easily found once I got there. Forgot to note down what I swapped on this one in the notepad [B)] and that was 3 days ago
Always said I’d call in here. Now there was the added reason. I found the cache in no time then spent some time gazing through the binos at the nearby plentiful bird life. The binos are a bit dodgy so BYO if you are serious about this pursuit. TN, LN because no Xchanges fitted. Race Hecks too big.
Clear skies
John
Weather was so bad, there was not a pelican to be seen anywhere! Nice little hiding spot for a cache. A few muggles around, but due to the total absence of birds, they left.
Thanks Skippy and Lambchops.

Found by Mary & David at 0950. Doesn't get much better than this - a walk with interpretive signs, interesting vegetation, views, perfect sunshine and a cache. Alas no pelicans, but no spiderwebs either. Took green carabiner, left Simpsons skateboard. Thanks to Skippy & Lambchops.
No pelicans today but plenty of flies to keep us occupied. Took a bit of looking to find the container but we eventually found it. Took highlander soldier ( how appropriate) and left some playdoe. Thanks skippy & Lambchops.
No evidence of the spider webs along the trail today ... and not many pelicans about either. Must be out of season for them, we'll have to return later in the year. A quick find, the GPSr put us spot-on. Took tictacs, left a carabiner keyring and a tin soldier. Thanks S&LC!
Not much bird life today, all is quiet on the island. Another nice spot for a walk to break the trip. Took the toy kangaroo and left a toy car. Thanks Skippy & Lampchops.
An area we had visited before but still as nice as we had remembered it. Found the cache after a short search - no exchange made. Thanks Skippy and Lambchops. Very excited though when we read in the log book that Unicycle had logged a visit earlier in the day. Now the true search began and the GPS couldn't held us with this one. Luckily our instincts were good and within the hour we were at Policemans Point, planning a little caching expedition for the early evening with Team Unicycle. We were delighted to be able to join them and their friends and we put our tent next to theirs. Sitting around the campfire after a day of caching enjoying the company of good friends - it doesn't get much better. Then next day the Easter Egg hunt was on (with a GPS) ofcourse - there was no way Bruce was leaving without being part of that. What a great start to our 18 day caching/touring expedition.
Found at 12:00 with friends (Alex found it). We all walked from Policeman's Point. Very pleasant, but it did start to rain. We started our walk with the dogs, but decided we shouldn't have them in the park, so sent them back to the caravan park with some of our party (the less energetic part). Took a notepad, left Tic Tacs.
Thanks Skippy and Lambchops.
Thanks Skippy and Lambchops.
Found at 4.30pm after a brisk walk along the beach. On the knees and hey presto - 10th find for the day. I don't recall the binoculars being here the last time we visited! Took Occy Strap, left dolphin memo board with post-its! Cheers, Rav4Raiders
No 4 for the day and an enjoyable walk to GZ. Found the nature study interesting along the way. No spiders today but there were a lot of Shinglebacks.Wind still blowing a gale, #1's hat was blown off his head. An easy find in a great location. Took the time to use the binoculars before heading off.
Left Ockstrap
Took Frog
As others before us we took the path back along the beach
Thanks Skippy & Lambchops

Found by Barry and Beryl at 3.45 pm
The spiders near GZ slowed us down a bit, there were plenty about, after wiping a few away from the search area we eventually retrieved the virgin cache, it was very windy and Beryl lost her hat but retrieved it a few metres away, no pelicans today. Last time we were here we don't remember such large numbers of spider webs with spiders in them.
We walked back along the beach as it was low tide.
Took nothing left a glow in the dark frog.
Thanks Skippy and Lamb Chops
