We are removing this cache due to the fact it has been tampered with by another geocacher.

Not only have they swapped the cache with another but the idiots have defaced the plaque that gave the clues.

To the person who did this, we have removed the link you left behind pointing to the next cache that you have messed with.

I don't suppose you feel like going back and cleaning the plaque..........nah didn't think so.

Forgive the log when you read it. We were being eaten alive by mozzies and march flies. Because of this, it was an in and out cache. The amount of very fit people using the nearby park sickened me. Power to the unfit masses. I'm sure that the area is nice as the trails getting to the cache are quite pretty.

No swaps but I did donate several litres of blood to the plague of bities.

Well, I held out for as long as I could, but I finally just had to go get this one. Smile

Made it something of a family outing, with Mrs Rat, Little Rat (recently promoted) and the brand spanking new Baby Rat being joined by my cousin and her family.

Mrs Rat, Little Rat, Baby Rat & Mel decided to wait at the picnic base camp, while Adrian, Ben, Emma & Renee set off with me to follow the magic arrow for hidden treasure. Adrian was pretty taken with the bike tracks and trails, and plans to bring his lot back for a bit of a peddle.

We found the plaque very easily, and plugged in the numbers for the final co-ords. We were a little worried when the cache turned out to be some 27kms away. Re-did the maths, adding the numbers to the mins instead of the decimals and brought the treking distance down to less than 2kms.Red Face Looked at the plaque veeery closely, re-did the numbers again and got it down to less than 100m.Smile

Headed for the scrub, with Renee being the first to holler 'found it' while Adrian and I watched the kids scramble around the bush. First to find gets first pick, and she chose a glo-stick "cause they float in the pool at night". Ben grabbed the matchbox car (an avid collector) and Emma took the party poppers. We left behind a torch set, mini-pliers, super balls, stickers and a mini wrist-kite.

The mighty cache hunters headed back to base for a well earned lunch, then spent the rest of the day running amok on the play equipment. All in all, a great day out.Big Grin

Thanks Crimson8.
