LVsnooks and N headed over to Braeside today to attend jascat's 4000th cache milestone event and went home on geo tour along the beach road to grab a swag of mystery caches that N had previously solved. N had been here once before and wasn't able to find the cache, but armed with a *very* big hint from Muzza (while attending another event together), this one was found with ease today. Thanks Muzza for placing this cache. A very sneaky hide indeed. Even when you've got it in your hands, I had to think twice how to get it open. Fave point awarded
Like others, I had it in my hand and discounted it! Lots of rubbish in here, bags, vapes, even an air pod. Almost looks like someone could stealth camp in here. The GPS was spot on and once I'd figured out how to get into the area there are many places to look. Watch out for the mozzies, they are ferocious! The cache is a superb bit of work and I can only say I managed to scribble my name in it after calling the CO pleading for some guidance. Definitely a fave point.
Not worth going into the bushes on my hands and knees. A lot of rubbish around and not the safest area.
This morning Dromaniax called to ask if I was interested in an evening of caching in some Melbourne Suburbs. When he offered to pick me up and chauffeur me around for the evening how could I refuse such an offer. We visited a few different LGA's with a challenge cache in mind were we need to have 20 finds in each LGA. With footy finals at the MCG we were careful at where we went staying well clear of the stupid footy traffic.A tricky little hide here which took a little while to find even though we knew exactly what we were looking for.Our lucky last for the nightThank you Muzza for the mystery
After chatting with Sims_family this morning, we decided to head out and chip away at our goal of finding 20 caches in each Victoria Local Government Area. So after picking Mr Sims_family up, we went to Melbourne to see how many we could grab. The weather had looked a little ominous as we left, but the evening was quite pleasant, and we didn't encounter any precipitation until we were almost home.An excellent evening of caching was had with only one DNF to blot our copybook. This has been solved for a while. We we fortunate we had chatted with another cacher earlier this evening about this cache as we may have overlooked the container otherwise.Thank you, Muzza, for this Mystery cache.
I was after a Mystery cache today for a challenge that I am working on but didn't have too many options near where I am currently staying. I had looked at this cache before but didn't get the correct solution... so I gave it another try. Hooray... success this time... the solution checker gave me a "green light"... all I had to do now was find the cache. After poking around in the scrub for what seemed like forever, I decided that today wasn't going to be my day with this one.

Just wow Muzza - what fabulous construction! A very cute puzzle too that I was sure I had got help on but I didnt! Not too flash on logic puzzles but excel was my PAF for this one. So a fave all round - would give this one more faves if I could! fave point for sureGood job MuzzaRegardskbucky
It took some 'caching maturity' to solve this - I'm sure I abandoned ship and took to the plonk when I first saw it...but now strategic logical thinking has become THE WAY so GZ did reveal itself. Came by with kbucky after a big weekend in Geelong. And wouldn't you know it...I did pick up the container and put it back...but a few mins later the lights went on for that haha ahhha phew moment to put a smile on the face - yes I've seen one of these before. TFTC MUZZA - an enjoyable puzzle and 'container' and a fave to match.
We have had a couple of visits to this spot without luck and today we are back again after a hint from a friend. This time we made the discovery very quickly once we had realised what we were after - something we had dismissed in the past! Thanks to Muzza for the puzzle and a challenging cache. A favourite point is on the way.
Quite the nemesis cache, I reckon I’ve visited these surrounds about 3 times with predictable results each time.
Great little puzzle and the nudge from prior finder came in handy this afternoon. TFTC, fave point for schooling me comprehensively!!

Solved the puzzle a while back, but got to GZ only today. Spot on coordinates led me directly to the cache. What a beauty!
Out with pinnacle333, doing some puzzles for a challenge, we came across this little beauty. I have seen one like this before, so was able to recognise the sneaky little hide. Thanks muzza.
What a cache this is, we've never found one like this before!! This one just caught our eye and we thought surely not? But there it was, such a sneaky hide. We really enjoyed this one, fav point from us!!

*Cache find # 14826.*
I had looked at this puzzle a few times but always gave up and put it away for another day, but recently I finally got it done, so today as I was needing a find for today, I left work a bit earlier and headed to this one.
I worked my way in to GZ and started looking around, I did notice the cache but my brain was working a bit slow as I overlooked it as the cache, a few moments later I think my brain caught up and I checked it out, sure enough it was the cache.
I had recently at an event been talking to the CO about this type of cache container and I mentioned that I had not yet found one in the wild but that changed today, as I now have.
**Thanks to Muzza for placing this cache.**

Love solving the puzzle. Find what I thought would have been a good hiding spot but no luck.

During one of our lockdowns, I cast about the map for puzzles to solve.
This was one that I actually managed to crack.
So I visited one evening on my way home, but darkness and the lowering temperature defeated me.
Today, with Traveling_Jack in tow, n0w0rries pulled up here so we could have another go, as he had found it recently in the company of the CO.
Aha! That was definitely not there when I was last time. Nice.
Thanks, Muzza.

I was so thrilled when I finally solved this puzzle and did do a little bragging when I caught up with the CO. What I didn’t brag about was how long the solve took me:)
We would have loved to have picked it up straight away, however due to the upcoming Mega, we ran out of time. Today we spent the majority of time collecting solved puzzles and finding random caches that caught our attention because we don't normally cache in this area.
Now with Steve’s patience nonexistent due to driving in heavy traffic all day, we headed to this cache, our target. We don’t have a great track record for finding those last ones of the day, plus from reading the logs, it looked like we would be keeping to that record.
We were lucky to find parking close by and the gods must have been smiling down on us, as I had that cache and log signed in under 2 minutes from arrival:)
Loved the whole experience Muzza, from the puzzle to this very well camouflaged cache. Massive thanks and of course a well deserved favourite point.

Aagh, three DNFs on the trot. From the logs this is a tough find and we couldn't spend too long here with rain threatening and a ride back to the CBD ahead of us. Gave a it a few minutes of scratching around on either side of the main landmark but no sign. Thanks for another cool puzzle.
After dropping one of my kids at work experience in South Melbourne, I went caching around the area until it was time to pick her up again.
I’ve made it my mission to try and get all the Puzzlemania caches. Anything involving numbers is a weakness of mine but I’m not ashamed to admit in getting a little help from a friend with this one.
At GZ after looking around finding nothing, I did notice something that looked familiar to the CO’s style. Sure enough it was the cache.
The cache and log in good condition with plenty empty spots to sign.
Thank you for the cache here muzza

We have a roadtrip through Australia and we also did some geocaching. We have been to very beautiful places that we would not have seen without geocaching.
Very high on our wish list was the BGT and we successfully visited all of them. We thought Ballarat was a great and beautiful place, with a lot of history and a lot of geocaches.
We often log with our initals TGM (Team_Geo-Meijer)
Greetings from the Netherlands.
In our Dutch puzzlegroup we did this puzzle. It was not an easy puzzle, but 1 of our cache friends finally managed to get the checker green. At GZ we found some rubbish, but not a cache. After a hint from the CO we managed to find the cache.
Muzza hartelijk dank voor het leggen en onderhouden van deze cache.
Groetjes,
Team Geo Meijer (TGM)

After much searching I was unable to find. Did my best to poke around but it's a pretty cramped space so no luck. I'll come back another day when there aren't roadworks nearby so the cars are driving past quicker
*Carpe diem.*
I attended the nearby Community Celebration Event and was chatting with the CO of this cache.
We arranged to meet up at GZ.
I arrived first and had a look for the cache, to no avail.
We then both searched the area, and I finally located the cache about a metre away.
After stamping the log, muzza returned the cache to its correct location.
Thanks for the cache and assistance at ground zero.

An appreciated push from CO sent me back to examine what I had previously written off. Made for a quick find today! Thanks for the puzzle, and TFTC from Tennessee, USA
Off to a poor start. Decided to risk the rain and search for some of these puzzles which I've solved. At gz, see a pen, but can't uncover any cache. Oh well. I'm hoping next four or five stops don't turn into a bust!!
Very clever puzzle, working back and forth and using implied knowledge.
Second visit to GZ and I was on the verge of giving up before a small relocation got me where I needed to be and all was revealed.
Thanks!

After some help from owner we managed to secure the cache! We even pointed it out at our first attempt but little did we know it was the cache. TFTC
Had a really good look here today but unfortunately no luck. Had heaps of fun solving the puzzle, so will have to return to turn this one into a smiley
In the area doing support and photography duties for the Melbourne Marathon. While racing between photography points, I snuck off to grab a couple of geocaches. Couldn't ask for a better morning for the 42.2 km Marathon, or for the 10+ kilometres I walked in support.
Didn't this puzzle require you to get the clues in other caches? I'm sure this was the one and I DNFed 1 of the clues because the pond was flooded and the geocache was under water.
Never mind, I was able to solve the puzzle and today was the day to collect. This might be one of the last few active Puzzlemania caches to find for me. Finding a pen at a likely spot meant that I was in the right vicinity.
Thanks for the cache Muzza

Today we had our fathers day outing a day early. It was planned for tomorrow but a change of plans meant we were out here today instead. It was a glorious day with beautiful weather.
The puzzle was solved this morning. I had discounted it originally as it needed you to find another cache which was well outside our permitted zone. I noticed this morning though that all the clues were now on the cache page so, with a little trial and error, I managed to find the solution.
After the CO was with us at our previous find, Muzza came to join us for this one too. We were distracted by the parachutes landing nearby, but soon came in to find the very well camouflaged cache. After finding the cache Muzza presented us with a 10 puzzlemania finds pathtag, as we were soon to find number ten.
Thanks for the cache, the puzzle and the fun Muzza, and especially for coming to join us at GZ. Nine puzzlemania caches now found and aiming to complete our tenth today

Finally found this cache on attempt number 2. A big fan of these puzzle mania caches and set a target to solve each one of these during lockdown.
Solving these cache is one part and finding them is the other challenge. The first attempt last year had us getting irritated by the swarms of mozzies at dusk, maybe not the best time to search, as we weren’t as focused! Today off to find a cache on the fine sunny day, lead us back here, there isn’t many caches I. Our 5km left, so determined to find one today, compared to last time found it Time under a minute!
Thanks Muzza for these series of caches!

Today we found Puzzlemania #2 on our travels. We had done some cache maintenance and decided on a whim that a couple of caches might be nice. Now that is tricky for us as there aren’t many unfounded caches local to us these days. We headed in this direction after signing one of gmj’s caches. The Chief has had some of these things n the solved file for a while so we decided today might be the day. Arriving we had a tiny feeling of déja vu but pressed on. After a few minutes of poking and prodding searching for a needle in a haystack I had poked at something and thought that’s a possibility and deserves a closer look then didn’t look or mention it to the Chief. Luckily that push shoved it into the Chief’s line of vision and a couple of minutes after (gratefully) he inspected it more closely and bingo. Totally not what we were looking for but not unexpected either!
Thanks Muzza for being part of our geocaching fun.

Wow.. an epic.. had this solved a long time back. Which was my downfall as it has since been updated. Refound the multi and then a few messages to CO. Finally a spreadsheet later I had a GZ. Thanks CO..
Proud to say a quick find at GZ as I had a little intel too.
Thanks to muzza for the placement and fun.

Finally! This one has been almost 10 years in the solving and the finding, and it certainly hasn't been a solo effort.
The first step was way back in 2011 when ClanMagee and I first found Around the Ponds . That was so long ago it was when ClanMagee was plain old MisterMagee. (He's now an extra 3 whole people.) We took a look at the puzzle back then but didn't manage to make much headway.
I returned to it every now and then over the years, but could not make much sense of it. More recently (during lockdown) I made a concerted effort on some unsolved puzzles. I now sort of knew the approach that was needed for this one but just couldn't quite get the right start, so in the end, I sent it to a muggle friend who loves this sort of thing and he had the solution back to me in an instant.
GZ was a pleasant 15 minute walk from home so I set off a week or so ago to look for it. After 10 minutes of searching, no luck, so I gave up and sent a message off to the CO asking for a hint. He kindly informed that I was looking in the 2016 GZ, not the 2020 GZ. Well I guess that's what I get for taking so long to solve it and not updating my excel spreadsheets!
Made a second attempt today (Yes, during lockdown, but as far as I'm concerned, geocaching = exercise, particularly when it involves a walk from my house). As I approached GZ my heart sank and I thought this might be a long search. Luckily after only about 5 minutes of poking and prodding, I poked something that didn't feel quite right. Closer inspection revealed the cleverly constructed cache and I was very pleased to be able to finally put my name on the log.
Thanks Muzza! +1fp for sure.

I had seen a logic puzzle similar to this on YouTube, so I knew exactly what to do with the clues and an Excel spreadsheet. A very interesting and fun puzzle. Around the ponds was disabled, so I was only able to work my way down to four possible final coordinates, one of which being the most likely. However, since the container turned out to still be there, I was able to confirm this choice with the additional clues.
I spent about 20 minutes at GZ today before noticing the clever camouflage. Definitely giving this container a favourite point. TFTC

Using the time with quieter streets to collect some previously solved puzzles. This took quite some time to locate and we probably wouldn't have without a PAF. Thanks for the cache.
Wow, did we struggle to find this one. Even after confirming that we were in the right place with a PAF, it took us some time to locate this cache. Thanks for placing it for us to find.

Today we decided to take advantage of quiet streets and zip around finding inner suburban solved puzzles.
DNF’d a while ago before realising our coords were wrong.
Needed a PAF at gz to locate the tricky hide.
Clever!
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, Muzza

Having found the cache I needed to, to solve the this puzzlemania cache quite some time ago, I was pleased to finally solve this during the week. The only issue? Tonight’s caching partner couldn’t find the cache for looking at it! Thanks for placing the cache muzza, for the puzzle and for coming to our rescue!

Find #10913
Out again on a school night with beckNmonts again heading towards beach side suburbs to see what we could find, hopefully including some solved puzzlemania caches.
Finding this one had us in all sorts of places, a very tricky hide, thanks to the CO for their help. Much appreciated. A FP for the cache container.
Many thanks to muzza for the cache. TNLN.

I went to check if the cache was still there. I couldn't spot it, so I replaced it with a new container. When checking its visibility from another angle, I spotted the original container. Left it there and took the new one home.
All is good for the next finder.
All is good for the next finder.
We were in the area so decided to give this one another crack. Unfortunately we didn't manage to find it and it is another DNF for us. One day nemesis cache - one day.
Both of my brain cells worked very hard to solve this puzzle. Off to the gz, but hunted and hunted and came up with a lot of rubbish but no cache. Muzza confirmed the cache had wandered off to greener pastures, so he replaced it with a replica. I got back there as speedily as I could to sign the log. Great puzzle and great cache.
Cache appears to have gone missing, again. Will try to replace tomorrow or at least this week.
No luck for us today. We will return, but not until someone else has found it first
Cool hiding spot! Nice to explore Melbourne on this way. Founded together with lauwaa and muzza himself. Thank you for the original cashe (and your help)! Greetings from Holland
You pwned us n00bs.

Find #2643. Found @21:44 with LouiseAnn.
Both LouiseAnn and I had attempted to find this cache at its previous location, and both failed (separately). With the new coordinates loaded into my GPSr when it was updated, we ventured here. The first challenge was to find a way into the GZ area. After a few aborted attempts I made it there, and LouiseAnn hung back a bit. The second challenge was to find the cache, a half remembered hint from a previous finder put me onto something I'd seen (but not investigated yet), and shortly after had cache in hand.
Woot! It is good to finally have this one as a smiley. A favorite point for stymie factor.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log, and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache Muzza

I had tried to find the previous version of this cache and the CO was kind enough to send me the new answers. Then it moved again!! Thankfully SirJ-Oz has the newest version of the answers, and I was determined that I would find it this time, before it moved again, again, again! We hunted around for a while, and whilst I didn't make the find, I did proved a crucial bit of information I heard about one of the previous incarnations of this cache, that lead to SirJ-Oz making the find! We picked this cache up at 9:41pm.
SirJ-Oz and I were having a bit of a caching day getting a few more GeosportZ under our belts. I didn't have too many to go, but we got a heap for SirJ-Oz. I was able to bask in my smugness of having found the prefect present to SirJ-Oz. I waited until the end of the day to give it to him, so I could mention it every hour our so. SirJ-Oz was very patient.
Thanks for the cache Muzza.

The area is still being worked on. It is now more open to the surroundings and less likely to provide a good spot for a cache. I have found another spot very close by that may be suitable. Will recreate the container and redo the calculations once hidden.
Went for a walk down to GZ and the council has cleared the whole area. It is still a work in progress, so I will wait a while before finding a new spot.
We enjoyed doing the 2 Multi's enabling us to to get the rest of the clues but when we had them I thought, what! As I am the logic thinker in the team it was up to me to work out all the clues and establish a set of coordinates that would lead us to the cache. So after several attempts at different ages I was finally happy with the GZ I had come up with.
Tonight while in Melbourne picking up a couple more solved Mysteries we headed to GZ with trepidation especially after reading a few DNF's and started our search. Found one thing which at first we disregarded but then on closer inspection realised we had the cache in hand. WOW, thats clever, very clever, we have never encountered a container like this before.
Thanks Muzza for a challenging puzzle and a great hide.
A favourite for both.

I solved this puzzle long ago but on a couple of visits to gz I was unable to find the container. After the last visit the CO decided to take pity on me and give me a couple of VERY big hints as to exactly where I was looking and exactly what I was looking for.
Back for another look today and I was able to find the cache fairly quickly but still took me a couple of minutes to access the log.
Thanks Muzza for the puzzle, the cache and above all the help to finish it off. A fav for sure

Back again for yen another unsuccessful look. I'm going to have to try to get a hint.

After conversation with a previous finder, I am pretty posative I was in the right place and I even new what I was looking for, but I couldn't make a find today, at least not of the cache. I did find a $1.
Checked the cache today. It is in place in the right spot, just very well camouflaged.
DNF on this one today I solved the puzzle but couldn't come up with the goods at GZ.
Hasn't been found since March - I wonder if it's still there?!
It could well be just me as I'm a little hesitant of sticking my hands in odd spots in a foreign environment!!

I haven't got all the info yet but I had worked out a likely location and was in the area today so I came for a look. A good search around but no cache here. I guess I'll have to get that last cache after all. I got the last waypoint later but ran put of time for the final. Next week I guess.

Went for a great bike ride along the beaches today so decided to stop off and pick this one up. I was fooled at GZ and kept looking around for some time until I returned to something that I had overlooked earlier. And bingo! Thanks for the puzzle muzza.

It was (to use muzza's description) a bit of a saga! Did the work on Around the Ponds and Poetic Licence a few weeks back but like some others I didn't feel the additional clues helped me that much. Regardless, I ran a few calcs and plotted some possibilities on a map. That ruled out most, threw up a few options and gave me a standout not too far away form home. So after some guesswork, three visits later, a check with the CO that I had the right co-ords we eventually got there. Great work on this one muzza and certainly above the standard that I have come across so far. A favourite from me.

I had plenty of time today so decided to do some puzzles and multis that required a bit of driving and/or walking around. It turned out to be a really nice day which is good because the weekend is going to be way too hot.
My buddy and I got the extra clues for this cache a couple of months ago (which didn't really help me a great deal, it just made me more confused) and I came looking for this once with my kids but after a few minutes they were bored and wanted to go to the beach so I had to abort my search without finishing it.
Today with them back at school and a hint from the CO to make sure I actually calculated the correct location I made the find nice and quickly. I was only 2 or 3 metres from it last time when I aborted the search damn it!
Really excellent camouflage as well.
Thanks muzza for the cache, the puzzle, the hunt and the fun.

Cache has been replaced and is now located in a new location (away from the itinerant resident), close to the original GZ. The calculations have been updated
This cache had been on my to find list for too long, so today I went out to cross it off the list. There was a muggle sitting on the open lawn, but I was able to get close to GZ unseen. But what was that? A Christmas tree covering the entrance, and clearly some sleeping equipment in there? Someone's home?
I called the cache owner to confirm, and he arrived within a few minutes to check out the situation. Thanks a lot for replacing the cache, muzza! And for the puzzle, and the cache itself.

It seems as though there is another person resident in the bushes, again, and the cache itself has been cleared out.
I will need to find a slightly different location.
I will need to find a slightly different location.
At last! After struggling with the maths, then remembering something important from my distance scientific past I finally had the coordinates. But alas, the site was inhabited by tent-living muggles so despite a thorough search I was unable to get the cache (it was gone anyway). Then when this cache was reenabled I was in the area but oblivious to it's release as I don't have a smart phone... So some time passes and today I realised I was in the area and just had to go after it again. I returned to GZ and after some searching finally spotted the crafty hide and could finally put this puzzle to rest. TFTC and excellent bit of camo too so a favourite from me.
Day 26 complete. What an adventure this cache was. Pantherx has been wanting me to come down for a few weeks to give him a helping hand. After meeting a gz we began our search. I attacked the cave and pant scoured the outside. We searched for sometime to no avail.
Pantherx at this stage emailed the co for some hints. After the hint we went at it again. In the process I found a nice new pen that pantherx claimed back at the signing of the log. It was rather funny as pantherx called me about 3 weeks ago stating he had a new geo pen and lost it while trying to find a cache.
However as hope faded we were close to giving up but located what we were looking for with a bit of help from muzza I stumbled upon the cache. This was no ordinary cache, this must be one if the best caches I have found. the craftsmanship amazing and the design for the location were perfect. Good luck to the next cacher to give this a go. Find 861 at 20:08. Today was day 26 of the 31 Days of Geocaching challenge. This cache has been my closest to home ever since I managed to solve the puzzle and I've visited a couple of times previously and been unsuccessful. I thought when I had the coords that the hard part was behind me... little did I realise it was only just beginning! The previous logs had suggested this cache was a bit of an adventure but you never quite know what you're in for until you're in it!
After a fruitless search for 30 minutes on my first attempt, an email to the CO had verified that I was searching the right spot. That gave me a bit more determiniation but after another unsuccessful visit, I was starting to get annoyed that this hide was outsmarting me. Tonight, with limited nearby options to log a cache for the August challenge, I called up Burge for some extra eyes and we headed back to GZ for another look. He seems to be good at finding the ones I can't. After about 20 mins searching around, reading previous logs, and generally getting frustrated, I decided to shoot another email off to muzza in the hope that I could get a bit of a hint to narrow the search. We kept on searching for another 10 minutes or so, during which time Burge called out to me that he had found a pen... "and a good pen at that!" Good for you, I thought. Just as we were about to give up, *ding* a new email arrived - that was quick! Thankfully it was muzza and armed with some new knowledge, we searched around some more but still couldn't locate what we were looking for until about 5 minutes later when Burge caught a lucky break. He passed it across to me and all I can say is, wow! This is one of the best, if not the best camoflagued container I've ever found while out caching. I was about to sign the log when Burge passed me the pen he'd found... turns out it's mine and was the pen I'd lost on a previous visit. What are the odds of that?! So I guess you could say I took pen, left nothing.
Thanks for the cache, muzza, and for the extra assistance. Needless to say, it's got a favourite point from me (I'd give it two if I could). It sure has been an adventure.

Found with Poynts95 (my dauhters boyfriend) and Sportacuss (my daughter). I had an appointment in Hampton, the morning after our TDC run the night before, so I grabbed a few caches that I needed to clear that the others all had.
Having solved this a long time ago, with Quasar3671, I had been there on two other occasions, one with the camping man in the bushes, the other just couldn't locate it either... Knowing that Q had made the find, and it had been replaced, I could not go past grabbing this one today, so I dropped in with Poynts95 and Sportacuss, who happened to be with me on the day, so fortunately for them, they get their name in the book as well.
A great cache and worthy without a doubt of a favorite point. It has been an adventure finding this one.

Oh bother!! lol For some weird reason we didn't have this cache on our watchlist so didn't see when it was re-enabled, and I (JMelb) just happened to look at it last night....
Sooooo we are also trying to get unloved caches towards our unloved total for the Spread the Love Challenge cache and this one would add quite a bit to our total... There were no logs on it so we decided we would drive Mitchell to school today (in Clayton) and then continue on to this cache.
And so we did and once we got here we looked around but couldnt find anything. We looked and we looked and we looked lol... then we gave up and rang the CO who very kindly told us where and what to look for....D'oh!! Absolutely Brilliant Camo!!! It was so good that we looked right through it!!
Opened up the cache to find that Quasar3671 had been sometime yesterday 3/3 and so we miss out on the unloved days after all [xx(] I know it's not possible to log caches straight away, but a note on an unloved one like this would have been appreciated and would have saved us a special trip and GMelb not getting to work until 10.30!! Yes we did need to find this one now it has been re-enabled but no we wouldn't have done it this morning if it had been logged, it would have been the next time we were in the area... oh well that's my gripe over with lol.
Thanks again Muzza, brilliant hide and a fave point from us

I was in luck today as I had 'party duty' to do, dropping my oldest boy off at a party in Cheltenham then with 2 hours to spare, what to do but go and pick up a few caches up St Kilda Way that I needed to get to finally clean that little area out.
Puzzlemania #2 was a bit of a nemesis cache for me. Having solved for GZ years ago, then first time I attempted the find along with my caching mate Blacklegend we were to find, to out great suprise, some dude camping in the bushed area right at GZ. Well we didn't find the cache that night and not too long afterwards it went 'temporarily disabled'.
Recently I passed by for a other quick look as I'd heard the camping guy was gone but I didn't find anything then. I saw that the cache had been replaced and was back up for the find so today I was determined to finally find the hide. I sent a quick note to the CO and he confirmed it was definitely back (thanks muzza) so of I headed again, across the grass, up the hill and started my searched. I knew what the previous cache hide was but I must say the new one is fantastic. Definitely a favourite for me.
Thanks muzza.
PS : I also noted GJMMelb log. As I had done the Spread the Love Challenge, the fact that it had been unfound for so long was of no consequence to me so noting it as found was not even a thought, I just needed it as a find and just happened to be in the area today (it had been a month since it was enabled too). Didn't mean to get it before you guys. As you said, guess you should have had your alert on.

Curses! I was down in St Kilda tonight at a concert without internet so will have to return another day to have another go at this one...
I will need to check this one out again. When there with GJMMelb, someone was living in a tent in the bushes near GZ. I will check if they are still there. If not, I will replace the cache.
This was the last Puzzlemania cache to solve so I was keen to find the clues to this cache after the recent Flash Mob event at Luna Park. Wich I did with several other cachers. Having found the clues I still could not solve the puzzle so I examined a number of possibilities all with no success. I then realised I had made an arithmetic error and had been looking in the wrong place. At this stage I thought I had better actually solve the puzzle, so I worked through the puzzle until I thought I had the right answer. A check with the Cache owner told me I had it incorrect, but the clue also indicated the method I had used had been correct. So I was able to correct my mistake and had what I thought was the right Co-ords. This was confirmed when I arrived at Gz and found the landmarks that others had mentioned in their logs. However after 30 minutes of searching I could not find the cache. After a ring around I was able to get in contact with the cache owner who very kindly offered to come down and assist. The rest is explained in the maintenance log below - cache had going missing. Hopefully the cache can be replaced. Thanks Muzza

I met GJMMelb at GZ after G reported problems finding it. It appears that the item the cache was hidden in has been removed. Indeed, the whole area has changed a lot, most likely by the tent resident who has cleared some of the bush.
Will need to reconsider what to do here.

This cache has given me grief for so long I have been very pleased to pick it up with the kids and jsmyong55 today. I had collected the clues from the other caches and had no idea what it all meant so I plotted the likely answers out on Google Maps and had a look. I narrowed my search down to 4 spots and after visiting each and reading the recent logs I emailed the CO to confirm I had the correct co-ords. The CO gave me a hint as to what I was looking for and after 15 minutes of searching today I spied a likely looking thing and lifted it up. It felt surprisingly light. On closer inspection in revealed the cache. My son and I revelled in the fact we had found it. The log signed I can now tick this smilie off. A great cache container muzza. Loved every bit of the chase. I will favourite now I can.
Trailrunning had the coords for this so I tagged along to get this cache solved. I had not finished Around The Ponds yet so I could not get the full set of clues but Trailrunning had so he solved the puzzle. Today, it was time to get this one and get this one we did. Cache was really well constructed and took us awhile to find, but when we finally did see it, we laughed. TFTC muzza
Well we finally found it.
I had solved the puzzle some time ago (after completing the Polish Roll Manoeuvre) and put the solution into a GSAK note, but hadn't gotten around to finding it until now.
A couple of unsuccessful hunts prompted me to check with Muzza and he confirmed the solution was correct, and that the cache was in place.
Lemmykc and I thought we'd have a combined look today. When I found it my GPS was reading 12m but it soon settled down to 6m and agreed with Liam's GPS.
Very nicely constructed hide. My money was initially on the possum box, but no.
Thanks for yet another very well put together cache Muzza.

After a number of unsuccessful attempts from both Geoff (gmj3191) and I, we decided to meet up here today to put our two caching brains together and see if we could make a find. I arrived a few minutes after Geoff, and we both had the same hint from muzza. Geoffs GPS was pointing 12m away from where the hide actually was, and mine was pointing 6m. I went to my GZ but couldn't find a thing. Geoff then went to the other side of the big bush, so I followed and then Geoff made the find. Nicely done muzza, probably better than mine. After logging, we chatted for a little bit before I went home and Geoff went to get a few more nearby. Thanks muzza, nice puzzle and great hide!
