As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Cache check found the cache was still in place but had been recently found by some half-wits who thought it was clever to graffiti the surrounding sandstone with the crayons they found inside. Cache container was cracked and has been removed while I decide whether to replace it.

24-Feb-06
Decided to go for a walk along the coast as mentioned in the Lonely Planet guide. And remembering there are a lot of caches in Sydney, there should be some along the way Smile.
This one was the first one on the way. I think I saw something hidden, but that was a bit out of my reach. So I have to pass on this one.
Thanks anyway, and greetings from the Netherlands.

Well this took a bit of searching, was about to throw the towel in when I noticed one spot I hadn't looked, woo hoo paid off. and muggles a plenty in this area so added to the fun sneaking in between waves of muggles

Took Puff Daddy T.B. will give him a surf soon

24-Dec-05
Found at 10:15am. Had to time the searching in between the passing muggles. Great view from this spot. Thanks. I didn't see TB Sandy in this cache.
Took: mini golf ball
Left: Fredo Frog eraser & TB Puff Daddy

Cache is still in place but I was dismayed to find a lot of broken beer bottles around the rocks at GZ. I pity the morons who do things like that.

17-Nov-05
400000 muggles passing nearby too much of a challenge for you? Twisted
The Sculpture by the Sea exhibition will be running until the end of next week so there will be incredibly large numbers of Muggles milling about. If you are seeking this cache before then I suggest trying while it is raining. Or perhaps at night.

13-Nov-05
Suggestion: this cache should be disabled during the "Sculpture by the Sea" event!!! Razz I was here along with literally tens of thousands of muggles Surprised. Couldn't really search: in order to respect the longevity of the cache, I didn't try very hard.

I had really wanted to do GCKP9W, but the death of my GPSr the following day prevented me. Also, the evening of 13 Nov, I apparently had dinner at an Indian restaurant *really near to* GCMMB0, and didn't know until now. %-}

Wow! really spectacular views!! loved the place. Took Rusty tb, left yellow stress ball. thanks!

Decided last week that it was time to start geocaching again after moving to Oz earlier in the year. Started to enter the coordinates of this cache into my gps and got a shock when the listed coordinates matched almost exactly with the default my unit was giving. The default being the last known coordinates the unit had, i.e the last time I had turned my unit off I was , unknowingly, standing (withing gps error) right ontop of the cache! Amazing! (I use my gps as a pacemaker/stopwatch/odometer while running, this is where I finish)

I was in the area on Saturday (8th) and had a quick glance under a few rocks but wasn't trying too hard. There were too many muggles around anyway, Saturday late morning is not a good time to try it! Especially when a pod of dolphins turns up off Bondi beach and draw even more visitors to the lookout.

Went back first thing on Monday morning (08:15) when there are only a few joggers about, had the whole place to myself much of the time. Took me quite a while to find, didn't expect it to be so close to the edge!

TNLN - Let the two dogs (TB) out for a quick bit of fresh air and to do any buisness but decided not to take them as I'm not likely to be traveling very far in the near future.

Found along with some other Tassie Cachers on a weekend trip..

Great Day!!!

what a great cache. found with 3 fellow cachers on a interstate trip. left golfball took tb wandering parrothead #2 luck on a trip to tassie

02-Oct-05
My first interstate cache, in an absolutely beautiful area. I found this one with some other fellow cachers from Tasmania while exploring Sydney. What a great spot it was to drop off my first travel bug “Rusty†who with “Sandy†started their journey here to see Australia and the World.

After having a few hiccups and time constraints early in the trip managed to get some time to fit in some caching. Shame though that we had to battle all the muggles that gather here on public holidays.

So after a short search and getting away from all the muggles we managed to find the cache.

This was a good hide and the views from here were spectacular on a fantastic day.

TN Left Sandy TB to start his mission.

27-Sep-05
This spot has great views, I just wish so many muggles didn't think so too! Every time I tried to search more would pop around the corner.
The cache is securely in place.
TNLNSL. Thanks, Robmc.

co opted brother in law to take Wandering Parrothead #2 Luck TB back to Oz with him after his holiday in the UK. He managed to find this cache (the most local one to where he lives in Sydney) on his own despite never having look for a cache before and without the luxury of a gps - his first ever cache find - using only clues given in the details of the cache - very impressed we were. Apparently the views are stunning - hopefully we too will get to see them one day and be able to visit this cache ourselves and claim it as a proper find for us too!

Checked on the cache after an email today letting me know it had been found but was unreachable. It had been discovered by a couple of German backpacker muggles on the 17/08 (Thanks for the kind words! Smile ) and may have been put back differently or wind may have shifted it. I put a few rocks to hold it in place and so future finders will have an indication of where to return it.

15-Aug-05
Beautiful views on the way, Do not like cliffs ect... This was not a cache for me that may be why i could not find.

15-Aug-05
Found today while taking the coastal walk from Bondi Beach to Bronte Beach with a non-geocaching friend - breathtaking and beautiful views along the way, definitely recommended to all! This cache did me no favors today, as I am distinctly uncomfortable with sheer cliffs and long drops into the water, but luckily I was able to gut it out, cling for dear life, and retrieve the cache safely. Definitely not one for the kiddies!! TNLN, signed the log, put the cache back exactly how I found it, and got the heck back to solid ground as quickly as possible. Great area and wicked views, TFTC!

14-Aug-05
Fantastic views from this quick find. Great walk from Bronte to Bondi and back. TNLN. TFTC.

Cache checked. Still there. Cool

04-Jun-05
It was there on the 3rd of June. Smile Good luck!

03-Jun-05
G'day, searched high and low for this one and sadly didn't find it. I hope it's still there...

Looking forward to hearing if anyone else has any luck finding it...

Cheers,

No 7 for the day. After climbing all around the rock holes and putting my head and body in places they had no buisness being, I had a re-think. Nabbed in about thirty second in the second place I looked (not counting the 25 mins previous)

T TB march Bear
TB Surf board
L TB Frog

30-Apr-05
Travelled 9,549 miles just to get this cache (Akron, Ohio) but get it I did, and with only a modicum of searching. Pleased to be here in your warm and gracious country. Dropped off the Calendar Bear - March and the Blinkstud's 793 Skimboard TB's, took an orange ball. Will log pics later when not on dial-up! Could not log TB due to poor dial-up connection, looks the Skimboard got grabbed right off? Good on ya and off you go!

Took a while to find this one as I was a little apprhensive getting too close to the edge. Once there it was an easy find. Logged find and replaced cache. When I was getting back towards the track, notice a couple on the ledge below and the smell of a strange substance seemed to eminate from that direction. Funny place to have oregano.

Took TBs to further their journey.

30-Mar-05
Cache check. Was a little out of position (maybe storms last week?) but now rectified. Dropped off a couple of Travel Bugs.

06-Mar-05
Checked in on it by star-light at 9.20pm.
Still there. It's not in a place which muggles are likely to stumble on it. Not sure where you are finding the broken glass through? Perhaps you were on the wrong level?

05-Mar-05
This was stop 1 of 3 on a short coastal caching trip. Were a bit worried that a cache in such a public area hadn't been found for awhile, but we decided to check anyway. There were 2 of us plus a geotoddler, so we took turns jumping down and searching when people weren't looking, the other minding the kid. Did some serious crawling, but GZ was littered with broken glass and bottles, so it was difficult to search thoroughly. Seems to be a popular drinking spot (quite a stupid place to drink considering how close it is to a cliff). Spent awhile there though, looking around. Perhaps muggled, perhaps we just didn't see it...still a nice place though.

14-Jan-05
Dropped by to do a cache check and picked up the TB. Future finders please return the cache within reach. Sticks or long arms shouldn't be needed to get it.

10-Jan-05
Early start for this one this morning, found fairly quickly, new the area well.
Swapped a bal for a frog
Left a TB and removed a TB

07-Jan-05
Happy New Year, one and all! And congratulations to the first parties of 2005 to visit this Great Cache!

Attached is a photo of what we came home to, a couple of days after logging Crashing Waves..

Cheers!

05-Jan-05
Found easily but retrieving not so easy. Needed a stick to reach it which we left as camouflage in front of cache and to help others retreive it. Enjoyed the walk and views. Thanks for the cache. Took glitter pens Left toy car.

04-Jan-05
Nice to be able to get back and have another go at this one. Fortunately it was a bit less crowded, but when the wind is as strong as it was today you really have to hold onto everything. Nicely hidden cache.

04-Jan-05
My fifth for the Day, SWAG Tim's second.
We were looking all over the place for this one... Nearly got blown away by the wind, I eventually spotted it, but I needed Tim's long arm to reach it.

01-Jan-05
There were a lot of people out enjoying the area today and GZ was particularly popular. But what really put me off was all the broken glass and the bad smell under the ledge. I couldn't see the cache, however the view from here is excellent.

01-Jan-05
There was no broken glass at the cache when I visited. A more accessible spot not far away has some lizards and broken glass and stuff, but that's not the cache location.

Cheers

11-Dec-04
On arriving in the vicinity of the cache, I allowed my GPSr to zero out for a few minutes while photographing some of the local lizards. Then I hopped over to the appropriate ledge, sat down and dangled my toes at the water, and reached behind for the cache without even looking. Got it! Forgot to write down my trades here though, but I did swap something and sign the log.

Thanks for the excitement, and for helping lure me out to Bondi Beach!

Cheers from Canada!

11-Dec-04
Sorry you couldn't find it. All I can really say is the sat reception is excellent at the location. If you let the GPS average for a few minutes you'll probably find you're on top of it.

09-Dec-04
was defeated by this one along with Swagg Agg, Team Baard, and Shaggys. Between the five of us I thought we'd given the area a fairly good going over. I guess not. Perhaps daylight might be a help. We'll be back...

09-Dec-04
Sad Should've seen the scary stuff we did to get by this one. Almost got stuck between the rocks and crawled dangerously close to the edge out of frustration of not finding anything. We just couldn't see any other hiding spot without having to fling ourselves off the cliff and start solo climbing. Where is it????

09-Dec-04
11:45pm. Five of us (BigmickB, Shaggys, 2 x Team Baard and me) crawled all over the area trying to find this. We tried from half way down the cliff to the top. One of Team Baard even tried his hand at rock climbing the underside of the rock.
There are not many no finds on this, so we wonder if it's still there.

04-Dec-04
Definately not for the faint hearted....

04-Dec-04
WHAT THE????

I watched 3 boys clamber around a cliff trying to find anything that resembled a cache, even a scabby old JD bottle almost made it.

At the end of it all i played the damsel in distress constantly telling the boys "Don't fall off the cliff!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Good one though, we had fun there on a Saturday afternnon with the tourists.....

04-Dec-04
Little bit 'hairy' but a wicked cache none the less. Excellent! Think the people that found it before us had long arms... Razz

Interesting spot, and the locals really enjoy it too... With Ratboy playing cockatoo I managed to sneak this one under the nose of a young lass doing her exercises this morning. TNLNSL

25-Nov-04
As a result of doing this cache I have a sore neck and bad eye strain simply because there was so much eye candy at this time of day. A lovely spot. Took Key holder and TB and left crayons.

Thanks for the adventure.

26-Oct-04
The coastal walk will probably be a bit busy until the 14th of November as the largest free outdoor sculpture exhibition in the world is currently on. Well worth a visit though!

10-Oct-04
Dropped off a TB.

07-Oct-04
Another excellent cache by Damo. A couple was making out just above from me, but I made sure they couldn't see what I was doing and they were not easily distracted anyway. TNLN

12-Sep-04
We did this cache at night, no muggles about but we couldn't see the view. We could just hear the crashing waves, not see them. We will have to venture back to the Eastern Suburbs during daylight. Thanks.
Left nothing
Took Rover TB

03-Sep-04
Muggles, muggles everywhere, some taking photos others posing for photos. I was asked by a group of Japanese ladies to snap their picture on their trusty Fuji.

Armed with my camera as a decoy prop and with the interesting "gerockraphy" I was able to undertake a reasonable search without arousing suspicion. It was to no avail though.

30-Jul-04
Came from NZ for the weekend to Sydney. Beautiful day and a wonderful spot. We overlooked the spot at first since it was sooooooooo close to the cliff. What a great walkway. In: Pedometer, Out: Koala Bear

30-Jul-04
Placed Roverandom in this cache. Roverandom is a friendly little pup and well behaved, never barks plus he is house trained. Enjoy your trip Roverandom you good boy. Regards Philma, Geo-Cheese and Kisses, Bronte and Lillian.

30-Jul-04
Found this one with Dapozo. What amazing views and cliffs. This was my first visit to Sydney and it made me never want to leave!

10-Jul-04
I agree Damo, a beautiful spot to sit and watch the ocean. Cache is hidden in a good spot considering the amount of people around location. Took compass and paper doll, left an asortment of stuff. Regards Philma.

19-Jun-04
Came from Reno, Nevada, USA to find it. Awesome hiding place! Took Henry the Wombat TB, left a couple of microlight keyrings.

29-May-04
Thinking the colder weather may keep people indoors I decided to tackle some Bondi caches. Huuh...The sun was out and poeple were everywhere, colliding with each other and generally causing pedestrian grid locks. My friend and I found the cache and as we tried to retrieve it in a quiet moment... A lady popped up from no where to lecture me like I was her 5yr old. Ohhh for heavens sake!!!! "Yes I understand your concern madam"..."No no I didnt mean to offend you by calling you madam... I was tring to be polite" "I know people die... yes yes I am going away now" (Along way from you)... she must have been bored and out to torment some geocachers. Left Tecnics to look out over the Pacific and ponder his next adventure and took tape measure. Thanks Damo... certainly a cache to meet the locals

01-May-04
Dropped off Henry the Wombat TB.

30-Apr-04
Had to wait a while for the area to clear of tourists and joggers, but managed to extract it eventually (while trying my best not to look down). A fun spot with great views... Definitely not one for the geokiddies to retrieve though.

Thanks Damo...

18-Apr-04
unarchived.. thanks for the safety check Damo

11-Apr-04
Taking off the site for a short time.

09-Apr-04
Dropped off a TB and changed a few items.

08-Apr-04
What a spot for a cache with all those babes parading along in their little exercise outfits and great views along the coast. You definitely need a head for heights for this cache as well as making sure your glasses are secure.
Took the bat. Kathy had great fun scaring people with the bat as we returned to the car.
Left DVD.

17-Mar-04
Congratulations on the find Whirly Wombats!

I went to check on the cache today after getting an email from someone saying they had found what they thought was the burnt remains of a cache. It is not so! The cache is still there, unviolated by muggles.

15-Mar-04
While searching I came across the burnt remains of something plastic. Presuming the worst I gave up on the search but it seems I should have persisted. Oh well...next time!

Found it together with the Whirly Wombats! Wonderful place, I would love to come again!!

14-Mar-04
Nice location - a well secluded place given the crouds pretty much every where else !

Spent 5 min looking to be the first to find this cache overlooking some waves crashing into the cliffs. Spent 15 minutes waiting for a group of japanese tourists to finish their foto session to put back the cache Wink

Took the bouncing balls and left a finger puppet. Also took the travel bug to find a new home for it.

The Whirly Wombats (and a visiting Koala).

P.S.: Got a bit confused and logged our visit for the 13th, but it was in fact a Sunday walk.

13-Mar-04
Still no takers! Checked on it today and it's safe and waiting for a first finder.

28-Feb-04
It's still there! I dropped by to check on it and drop off a TB and some other items.
A hint is needed?

27-Feb-04
