Logs
10:01 am - There has been a drastic alteration to the vegetation here. Suggest the cache may have been muggled.
10:01 am - Somehow our Palm downloaded this as active. We can now see that it isn't. Shame.
Went to check it today. Container was out in the open and completely empty again. Log has vanished. Given that this is the 3rd emptying in less than a month I've no choice but to archive it. My 4th muggled cache in Dunedin. [xx(]
hmmmm, was there today and found cache, inside were the pages from the log, managed to find a spare page to log the find, no pencil or any cache items inside
After some searching, we discovered the lid of the cache. Found the plastic bag containing log book, and then found the container - the other contents of the cache could not be found. We put back together everything we found, and hid it under some leaves.
Hmm, sound like it's been severely muggled again. I'm disabling it for the moment, and will either reposition or archive it shortly.
Well, looks like this one has been recently muggled [:(!], but my thanks to the cacher who cleaned up the logbook ! I've restocked a few small cars, but will wait a few weeks then check again. If it gets re-muggled then I'll archive it.
Cheers,
G

Lizi scampered in for the find, after a pleasant stroll up the hill. Only one car left .. TNLN
A fun little drive up the hill. What a bonus to have a cache at the top waiting for us. Thanks.
Left the others in the car (too cold for them!), and did it honest. On the way down passed a tourist on the way up who was struggling after trying a running start.
Woohoo, found our first cache after spending a couple of hours looking for the quarry conundrum...
Me and a Friend went for a walk up the street, very cold and lots of cars were coming up and down the street, alot of stealth was required! Just one thing, the clue kinda gave it away! Thanks GSVNoFixedAbode

What a neat cache! Parked at the bottom and walked up. Used the hint so as not to arrouse to much suspicion. Sat on the seat at the top and read through the logs. Very soon a lady from Auckland and a lady from Melborne joined me. None of us knowing each other, and still with me reading through all the logs, we engaged in a 20 minute conversation about the street, religion, skiing and bogans! Then we all parted ways, I put back the cache and we all walked down the hill! Just great! Many thanks!
A quick lunch time dash, was good for the legs and heart. Phew...The jog back down was alot better. Thanks for the exercise. Left a hummer, took ambulance.

Oh, the things I do for exercise! Having trudged up this hill once before – just because it was there – I found that I had to do it all again. I did check yesterday though when visiting the Centennial cache whether it was possible to come down from above – it wasn’t. Lovely fine day today and the walk up wasn’t as bad as I remembered. Bart Simpson wanted to skateboard down so I left him at the top to gain some more courage and uplifted a hot rod. Thanks GSV.
Finally got around to doing this cache after driving past it on several caching trips and realising the printout was at home. Worth the walk, the views are great. Thanks
Phew - I normally drive up here, first time I've walked it !

Ahh, Baldwin Street. Brings back so many memories of living in a damp student flat about a block over on North Road in our student days...
Had to be very sneaky getting to this one (and having a lookout also pays). It was so crowded. A car load of young people decided it was a good place to get very drunk.
Left a toy ambulance, took the teddy bear who seemed to be very out of place.

Our 6th find on our tour through N.Z.!
Found it after reading the hint.
In/Out: nothing (didn't have a matchbox toy card with us)
Thanks for the excellent location!

Found it just where it said it would be. Enjoyed the walk up the street - it really is steep but one of our friends wonders if it beats Filbert Street in San Fanscisco? My legs certainly thought it did!
My first cache in New Zealand. It was a good walk and the cach was easy to find.
nothing in/out (no cars in my personal cachebox)

Very pleasant day to walk up here. Wasn't too difficult to locate. Took nothing but added a Mercedes Benz 540K.
Easy find, but a really good hiding place. I've been there heaps, being a local, but the downward journey still scares me!
Found it at 6:15pm, 1st & only today, after walking all the way from our motel (Alcala) in George Street with M & M moaning along the way about how far we had to go... Got to the cache no problems, older M ran the last half of the street to prove how fit he was and younger M located it.
Plenty of muggles, mostly driving up in their rentals but no one taking much notice of us. Sorry no Matchbox cars in our swaps bag so TN LN.
We have a cache back near home in SA, called Matchbox Travel with a simular theme.
Thanks GSVNoFixedAbode for the challenge & views on our last day in Dunedin.
Cheers 'scargoes / PFMM (Australia)

Went up the wrong street and had a bit of a walk up a HUGE hill. Found the wee blighter without too much trouble, but then pestered by a muggle about what we were doing, what we had, etc. Managed to sneak it back after a while.
Great location.
Added a German Polizei car from Kilmock Capers cache in Invercargill, took a fire dept hydrofoil.
Thanks

A quick jaunt up and down Baldwin to say we completed this cache. A real urban cache ....a clearance around the cache area has exposed the hiding place so slightly angeled it to make it more hidden.
No swap made.
Thanks GSV....The Bohemian.

This took a bit of hunting but got it in the end. Had to dodge the muggles that kept visiting this site.
We cheated and drove there. I have walked up there in the past so I don't feel guilty.
Didn't have anything related to the theme so left nothing and took nothing.

Found it easily enough. Another cache very close to home and fourth for the day. I had no car to trade so none made. Amazing how this has stayed here with so many tourists etc about. Thanks GSV no fixed abode.
Cheers Michael

I'm on vacation to NZ when I found this cache. It's a really steep slope but I walked as fast as I could up the hill. Great view of on top. It's my first cache find.

#67 Took the lazy option and drove up! Had to wait till the endless muggles disappeared - must be impossible in summer.
Traded one Travel bug for another - took 88 car for a spin and left James T to check out the view. Also left a nice old model car but took nothing.
Thanks for the cache

Found it fairly easily, once I had waited for several bunches of tourists to clear. Nice location and a good walk, although fairly easy after some of what i have been doing over the last few weeks.
Took tanker truck
Left Rally car.

The second time that we've walked up this street and it is still just as steep! A taxi-van arrived at the top full of tourists as we were standing at the top. Then we talked to a man who jogs up and down 60 times a day just to keep in shape! He said that after the first 10, the next 50 are easy - every day!!

Sorry to not be in the spirit of the cache, but we a)drove up and b)didn't have any toy cars in our stash (we've seen so many in other caches; we should've done our homework and been prepared!)
This is a steep hill. Our front wheel drive Taurus lost a little traction on the way up, the first time that's happened on a sealed road!
Being fans of the Louis Berniere book about the Red Dog, we just had to pick up this TB! No swaps.
Another thoughtful cache, GSVnfa. We like your style!

Had a few hours to spare after a business meeting in Dunedin. Nice walk up the hill - easier than I expected.
No exchange.

GPSR took me pretty close to the "obvious" location but I was a bit nervous being so close to habitation so I decrypted the hint just to be quite sure - even then the cache is well concealed
Took - Metallic gold car
Left - Hotwheels Dodge Power Wagon
Thanks again GSVN

I was the first to find this one too. It was quite well hidden, and it took me over 15 minutes to find. I should have found it earlier, but I didn't see the obvious location at first. Again, I didn't have anything to exchange, as I was in such a hurry to find the cache. But, I did add a pen, as the one in the cache died. There were about ten tourists nearby and some houses too, you will need to use stealth when getting and replacing the cache. I quickly got it and then moved about 5 m away before filling in the logbook. I also cheated and drove up Baldwin Street, as I was in a hurry. I've done it before, but wouldn't recommend it. If you do choose to, then you can turn at the junction of the driveways on the left and then park on the right. Thanks GSVNoFixedAbode, it's a cool location for a cache. Cheers, Donovan.
PS: Congratulations on placing both your second and third caches, keep it up, I need more to find.
